BYHALIA - Services for Amanda Ray Saint, 28, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Hill South with visitation today from 5-8 p.m.
Interment will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. Saint died April 2 at Regional Medical Center.
She loved horses and barrel racing. She was employed by Wal-Mart, Olive Branch.
She leaves her parents, Ray and Charlotte Saint, Byhalia; a sister, Shelley Essary, Corinth; two nieces, Bailey and Kelsey.
Gary Alan Elefsrud
SOUTHAVEN - Services for Gary Alan Elefsrud, 68, self-employed philanthropist, were held April 7, in Waterloo, Iowa.
Elefsrud died March 29 at his home. He was born Feb. 9, 1941 in Waterloo, Iowa, and was an Army veteran.
He leaves his wife, Betty Lou Elefsrud, Smithville, Mo.; three sons, Kevin Elefsrud, Calif., Bradley Elefsrud, Southaven and Aaron Elefsrud, Calif.; mother, Marion Elefsrud, Waterloo; one brother, Richard Elefsrud, Waterloo; nine
Timothy Keith Poe
OLIVE BRANCH - Services for Timothy Keith Pie, 51, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, at Brantley Funeral Home, Olive Branch, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in Bethlehem Methodist Cemetery, near Potts Camp. Pie died April 9 at his home.
He was a recreational therapist at North Oak Regional Medical Center, Senatobia and was a member of the Soggy Bottom Hunting Club, a graduate of the University of Memphis and volunteered at Central Church, working with the handicapped.
He leaves his wife, Jeanie Pie; a son, Jonathan Poe (Misty), Olive Branch; mother, Frances W. Pie; a sister, Pat Boston, both of Snow Lake Shores; grandchildren, Kaylin and Cooper Poe, Olive Branch; several nieces and nephews and David Culver, whom he thought of as a son. He was preceded in death by his father, James C. Poe, Sr., a brother, James C. Poe, Jr.
Jessie Mae Wilson
NESBIT - Services for Jessie Mae Wilson, 77, will be at 12 p.m. Monday at Forest Hill South Chapel.
Visitation will be from 10-service time. Wilson died April 8 at DeSoto Health Care nursing home.
She was a retired bookkeeper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix G. Wilson and son, Mickey Wilson.
She leaves her son, Larry Wilson and daughters, Connie Pitts and Pam Hudson; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren, all of Nesbit.
Larry W. McKnight
OLIVE BRANCH - Services for Larry W. McKnight, 75, will be at 12 p.m. today at Brantley Funeral Home, Olive Branch with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. McKnight died April 8 at Baptist DeSoto.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Andrew Kyle McKnight, sister, Dee McKnight and mother, Buena McMichael.
He was born in Columbus and graduated from S.D. Lee High School.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was retired from investment banking and worked as a bond trader with UMIC.
He was an Ole Miss Rebel fan, an avid fisherman and traveler.

Douglas Kent Lipscomb, Jr.
BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Memorial services for Douglas Kent Lipscomb, Jr., 40, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church, 201 SE 13th Street, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and later at his home church "The Flame" Byhalia United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. April 19.
Lipscomb died April 4 at Hospice of Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Fla.
He leaves his wife, Dawn Marie Papineau Lipscomb; three sons, Ryan Douglas Lipscomb, Spencer Riley Lipscomb, and Aaron Jack Lipscomb all of Oxford; his parents Douglas Kent Lipscomb and Karen Kay Lipscomb, Boynton Beach; two grandmothers, Lavon Kenyon and Mary Jean Simons; siblings, Darren Edward Lipscomb (Lori), Queen Creek, Ariz., Kara Jean Botts (Troy), Boynton Beach; nieces, Tayler Lipscomb, Jordan Lipscomb, Hailey Botts, Lauren Poteet, Sarah Poteet, Amy Flint, Kasey Flint; nephews, Troy Botts Jr., Grant Poteet and Trey Flint.
Lipscomb was a member of Byhalia United Methodist Church.
He coached youth soccer at Fort Lauderdale Christian School and he was a cabinet maker, a painter, started a pressure cleaning and maintenance business in Florida, started working in inventory management in Atlanta Ga. and continued working in the field as the family moved to Holly Springs.

DRUMMONDS, Tenn. - Services for Justin Brian Pace, 28, Border Patrol Agent for Homeland Security, will be Friday, April 10, at 2 p.m. at Munford Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Indian Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, April 9.
Pace died April 6 at his residence in Drummonds, Tenn.
He was a member of Holly Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Brighton, Tenn. He leaves his parents, Mark Pace, Horn Lake, and Cindy Pace, Brighton; two brothers, Chad Pace and Derrek Pace; sister-in-law, Christy Roberts; nephew, Jacob Roberts, all of Drummonds; grandmother, Lena Holt Pace, Horn Lake; best friends Charles and Christy Woelm, Sara and Rachel Woelm and many more friends and relatives.

ASHLAND — Services for Edward “Red” Smith, 70, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Forest Hill Funeral Home South. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his wife Camellia (Ruthie) Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Smith; two daughters Sherry Mitchell (Danny); Denise Miliara (Carl); two sons, Glenn Smith; Roger Smith (Cathy) two stepsons, Glenn (Theresa) Martindale; Doug (Deb) Martindale; two sisters, Alta Ruth Morse; Clara Bell Lackey; one brother, Fred Smith; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

OLIVE BRANCH — Services for Elan W. Dawkins, 81, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Brantley Funeral Home, Olive Branch with interment in Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery.

Dawkins died April 5, at Baptist Memphis.
He was a member of the Olive Branch Church of Christ.
He leaves his wife of 57 years, Virginia Dawkins; daughters Regina (Ron) Loden, Linda (Steve) Blaydes, Mary (Chuck) Magee; son David W. Dawkins; brother Gene Dawkins; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

COLDWATER — Services for Gladys Roberts Sowell, 84, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Palestine United Methodist Church with interment in Palestine Cemetery, Coldwater.
Visitaton will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home, Hernando.
Sowell died April 6, at Bollivar Medical Center, Cleveland. She was the widow of Bob Sowell.
She leaves one daughter, Dianne “Sowell” Serio (George), Cleveland; one son, Kevin Sowell, Coldwater; grandchildren, Sheila and Alyssa.
Earl L. "Pig" Watkins, Jr.
OLIVE BRANCH - Services for Earl L. "Pig" Watkins, Jr., 83, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Brantley Funeral Home, Olive Branch.

He was a Navy veteran. He leaves his wife Adell Watkins of 65 years; daughters Patsy Baldwin, Doris Gray, Lisa Jones; son Ronnie Watkins; three nieces Vicky Bowen, Beverly Fisher, Nancy Sisson; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
