Browning Funeral Home has charge. He was a member of Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church. Mr. Allen was the widower of Emma Dee Arrington Allen.

BRANDON - Ruth Lyles Jeffers, 79, of Memphis, formerly of Brandon, homemaker, died of heart failure Monday at Kirby Pines Manor in Memphis. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis with burial in Memorial Park there. She was a member of Brandon First Baptist Church and head of the Body-Recall Class. Mrs. Jeffers, the widow of Bill Lyles and Marshall L. Jeffers, leaves three sons, Bill Lyles Jr. of Memphis, Gary Lyles of Death Valley, Calif., and Curtis Lyles of Nashville; a stepdaughter, Patricia Hurford of Augusta, Ark.; a stepson, Mike Jeffers of Memphis; a sister, Gwen Lindsay of Chattanooga, 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

CARROLLTON - Bobby Eugene Nunley, 59, self-employed in retail business, died of heart failure Monday at Greenwood-Leflore Hospital. He was a member of Carrollton Baptist Church, with more than 40 years of perfect Sunday school attendance. He leaves his mother, Agnes G. Nunley of Carrollton. The family requests that any memorials be made to Carrollton Baptist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.

Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in New Cleveland Cemetery. Ray Funeral Home has charge. Mr. Creekmore, the widower of Blanche Laird Creekmore, leaves a sister, Bonnie C. Harden of Greenville, and two brothers, R. L. Creekmore and Lester Creekmore, both of Cleveland.

He was an Army veteran and member of Fredonia Missionary Baptist Church. He leaves two daughters, Ruby Boyd of St. Louis and Mae Frances Bolton of Memphis; three sons, Robert Jackson of Senatobia, and Luther Jackson and Fredrick Sanders, both of Memphis; a sister, Mary Bolton of Olive Branch; four brothers, Marshal Bolton of California, Billy Bolton and C. G. Bolton, both of New York, and Homer L. Bolton of Los Angeles, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

GREENWOOD - Buford D. Tubbs Jr., 75, sales representative and former Ford automobile dealer in Greenwood, died of heart failure Tuesday at his home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Greenwood. Mr. Tubbs was former district manager for Cudahy Meat Co. and former owner of Three Rivers Ford in Greenwood. Mr. Tubbs, the husband of Lyllian Marion Tubbs, also leaves a daughter, Marion Tubbs Beasy, and a son, Buford D. Tubbs III, both of Greenwood; two sisters, Dorinda Clarke of Greenville and Kay Dew of Saucier; two brothers, Dalton Tubbs of Sumner and Duward Tubbs of Webb, and four grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be made to First Presbyterian Church of Greenwood or French Camp Academy.

Mr. Prewitt, the husband of Mazell Blaylock Prewitt, also leaves two daughters, Dianna Kay Triplett of Leland and Kathy Sue Prewitt of Hollandale; a son, Hubert `J. R.' Prewitt Jr. of Gonzales, La.; two sisters, Mozell P. Rutherford and Vereen P. McNamara, both of Vicksburg; a brother, Billy Mack Prewitt of Brookhaven, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Mississippi Quilt Association. He was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity and Gamma Sigma Epsilon and Rho Chi honorary pharmacy fraternities. Mr. Orr was commissioned as an honorary Kentucky Colonel for the State of Kentucky and a Duke of Paducah by the City of Paducah. He leaves two daughters, Vicki Orr Ellis of Jackson and Lise' Orr Ansley of Baton Rouge, La.; two sons, Brett A. Orr of Orlando, Fla., and Derick S. Orr of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two brothers, David Orr of Charleston and Ronnie Pearson of Memphis, and eight grandchildren.
