GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Will Rush Jr., 59, of Albany, N.Y., and formerly of Greenville will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Moriah MB Church, Greenville. He died July 22, 2002, at Albany Medical Center, Albany. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

Survivors include his mother, Lelar Mae Rush of Greenville; one brother, Rufus A. (Jackie) Rush of Stanhope, N.J.; three sisters, Willie Ann Smith of Des Moines, Iowa, Henrietta Rush-Green of Mt. Vernon, N.Y., and Bessie A. (Dr. Ray) Rush-Johnson of Pasadena, Calif.; one aunt, Irene (Robert) Armstrong of Dayton, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville.

Pastor M.J. Dean will officiate.

Stovall

STONEVILLE — Graveside services for Willie Fletcher Stovall, 95, of Troy, Ala., will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery, Stoneville. She died July 31, 2002, at her home. Burial will be under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home, Troy, Ala.

Weaver

METCALFE — Funeral services for Bernice "Mama Bert" Weaver, 82, of Metcalfe will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Calvary MB Church, Metcalfe. She died July 30, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Delta Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

Mrs. Weaver was born Dec. 17, 1919, to the late Lula Mae Hawthorne Robinson Smith. Bernice was an only child. She received Christ into her life Aug. 24, 1934, at Silver Mount Church in Scott, Miss., under the leadership of the Rev. Spencer. She served faithfully until she moved to Metcalfe. There she joined Mt. Calvary MB Church, where she served as a member of the Mother's Board. She continued her tithes and serving her church faithfully until her health failed. She was also a member of the Metcalfe Senior Citizens Club. She was preceded in death by one son, Walter Wallace; and a loving, devoted husband, Ellb "L.B." Weaver.

Left to cherish her memories are one daughter, Hazel (Monroe) Hayes of Greenville; six grandchildren, Lt. Colonel Robert L. Baker of Jonesboro, Ga., Cozetta (Arthur) Gray, Pastor Lurenda G. (Jerry) Ruth and Johnny (Venessa) Hoskins Jr., all of Greenville, and Charlene Weaver and Senoria (Larry) Taylor, both of Greenwood; one loving daughter-in-law, Daisy Weaver of Greenwood; two sisters-in-law, including a devoted sister-in-law, Freddie Weaver of Weedowee, Ala., and Geneva Johnson of Cleveland, Ohio; one stepgrandson, Dr. Herman (Patricia) Weaver of Ohio; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Milton Weaver and Vernon Weaver, both of Cleveland, Ohio; and a host of cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 4 p.m., with family hour from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. The remains will lie in state at the church Saturday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Repast will follow at Mt. Calvary MB Church fellowship hall.

The Rev. Richard W. Mosley is pastor of the church. The Rev. Dennis Hudson will officiate.

Broome

GREENVILLE -- Funeral arrangements for Ellie Broome, 88, of Greenville are pending at Harris-Brown & Marion Funeral Home, Greenville. He died Sept. 29, 2002, at his home.

Brown

GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Margaret Pauline Oswalt Brown, 79, of Harrison, Ark., and formerly of Greenville, a homemaker, will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Mortimer Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. She died of heart failure Sept. 29, 2002, at Hilltop Care Center, Harrison. Burial will be in Leherton Cemetery, Ruleville.

Mrs. Brown was a former resident of Greenville, Miss., and she was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Greenville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Oswalt.

Margaret leaves to cherish her memories her three daughters, Deloris Turman and Julia (George) Prine, both of Greenville, and Linda (Danny) Watkins of Harrison, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mortimer Funeral Home, Greenville.

The Rev. Arthur Scott will officiate.

Bush

BLAINE -- Funeral services for Lois Hatton Bush, 85, of Blaine, a retired registered nurse, will be today at 10 a.m. at Blaine Community Church. She died Sept. 29, 2002, at St. Dominic's Jackson Memorial Hospital, Jackson. Burial will be in Indianola City Cemetery under the direction of Card Funeral Home, Indianola.

Mrs. Bush was a retired registered nurse from Sunflower County Public Health Service. She was a graduate of Charity Hospital School of Nursing in New Orleans, and was a member of First Families of Mississippi, Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames and Blaine Community Church. She was the widow of Albert Jasper Bush Jr.

Survivors include one daughter, Janice Bush Vinning of Lafayette, La.; one son, Dr. Albert Jasper Bush III of Vicksburg; two sisters, Jane Hatton Smith of Van Nuys, Calif., and Ann Hatton Hairston of Athens, Ga.; one brother, Boyd Hatton of Bassfield, Miss.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to Blaine Community Church or the charity of your choice.

Hughes

CLEVELAND -- Funeral arrangements for Leon Hughes, 26, of Cleveland are pending at Byas Funeral Home, Cleveland. He died Sept. 28, 2002, at University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson.

GREENVILLE -- Funeral arrangements for Eddie Madison, 72, of Greenville are pending at Watson-Edwards & Evans Funeral Home, Greenville. He died Sept. 30, 2002, at his home.

Washington

GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Willie "Moochie Boy" Washington, 71, of Greenville will be today at 2 p.m. at Sisson Chapel of Byas Funeral Home, Greenville. He died Sept. 25, 2002, at Autumn Leaves Nursing Home, Greenville. Burial will be in St. Luke Church Cemetery, Metcalfe.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Washington of Greenville; six sons, Larry Todd of Virginia, William Earl Todd of New York, Willie James Todd, Isaiah Fair and Virdell Mason, all of Greenville, and Charles Edward Taylor of Texas; six daughters, Wanda Washington of Louisiana, Rachel Jones and Carolyn Taylor, both of Indiana, Barbara Turner and Tory Brown, both of Greenville, and Demica Brown of Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, Lonnie Gatlin and Willie Harper, both of Greenville; two sisters, Emma Jean Gatlin and Lou Cora, both of Greenville; his stepmother, Emma Gatlin of Greenville; 24 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Brother Sam Turner will officiate.

Whitlock

GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Thomas Ray Whitlock, 38, of Greenville, a furniture upholsterer, will be today at 11 a.m. at the Family Worship Center, Greenville. He died of cancer Sept. 28, 2002, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital, Greenwood. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville.

Mr. Whitlock was born in Shreveport, La., and moved to Okolona, Miss., where he graduated from high school. He moved to Greenville in 1982, where he was associated with his family business, Master Craft Upholstery. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He attended the Family Worship Center.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Cashimere Whitlock of Gilbert, Ariz.; two daughters, Jessica Whitlock and Briana Whitlock, both of Gilbert, Ariz.; his father, Bobby Allen Whitlock of Greenville; one sister, Sherry W. Brown of Greenville; and two brothers, Bobby Allen Whitlock Jr. of Greenville and Robert Harvey Burns of Fulton, Miss.

Byas

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Osie Bell Scott Byas, 81, of Greenville will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Home MB Church, Greenville. She died Dec. 13, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Delta Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Byas; her parents, Abe and Mamie Scott; one daughter, Samuelette Byas Hudson; and her 13 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia (Charles) Burton of Greenville and Janie Byas of Dallas; two sons, Jacob (Josephine) Byas of Jackson and Archester (Dean) Byas of Chicago; and 11 grandsons, Keith Hudson, David Hudson, Samuel Hudson, Alvin Hudson, Charles H. Burton III, Cameron Burton, Garland Burton and Jacob Young, all of Greenville, Joseph Hudson Jr. of Greenville, S.C., Kenyn Damien Byas of Phoenix, Ariz., and Darion Jared Byas of Jackson, Miss.; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m., with family hour from 5 to 6 p.m., at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. The remains will lie in state at the church Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.

The Rev. Fredrick Price is pastor of the church. The Rev. R.T. Strong will officiate.

GREENVILLE — Funeral arrangements for Kathryn Shawblosky Drake, 79, of Barlett, Tenn., and formerly of Greenville are pending at Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Dec. 17, 2002, at Methodist North Hospital, Memphis.

GREENVILLE — Funeral arrangements for Genary Hudson, 63, of Greenville are pending at Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Dec. 16, 2002, at River Oaks Hospital, Flowood.

She died Dec. 9, 2002, at The King's Daughters Hospital, Greenville, after a lengthy illness. Burial will be under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville.
