LELAND -- Funeral arrangements for Ruby Glasper, 54, of Leland, are pending at Frye Funeral Home, Leland. She died Feb. 11, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville.

Robinson

DETROIT -- Funeral services for Hattie Lee Robinson, 87, of Detroit, Mich., and formerly of Greenville, will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at New Mt. Bethel MB Church, Greenville. She died Feb. 1, 2002, at Oakland Southfield Rehabilitation Center, Detroit. Burial will be in Live Oak Cemetery, Greenville, under the direction of Bea's Century Funeral Home, Greenville.

The Rev. David Franklin will officiate.

Sherman

GREENVILLE -- Funeral arrangements for Carrie Bell Sherman, 78, of Greenville, are pending at Byas Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Feb. 10, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville.

Webb

GREENVILLE -- Funeral arrangements for Martha Ellen "Duck" Webb, 88, of Greenville, are pending at Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Feb. 9, 2002, at her home.

Wood

MOORHEAD -- Funeral services for Clyde Everett "Pete" Wood, 83, a vocational agriculture instructor of Moorhead, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Moorhead Baptist Church. He died Feb. 9, 2002, at South Sunflower County Hospital, Indianola. Burial will be in Lehrton Cemetery, Ruleville, under the direction of Card Funeral Home, Indianola.

Mr. Wood married the former Mildred Patridge of Ruleville, Miss., 57 years ago. He graduated from Duck Hill High School in 1938, and from Sunflower Junior College in Moorhead in 1940. In 1942, he received his bachelor of science degree in vocational agriculture. In 1953, he received his master's degree in agriculture with a minor in entomology from Mississippi State College.

He served four years in the South Pacific during World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps, then another three years during the Korean conflict.

In his younger years, he had a cattle farm near Moorhead. He was a Master Mason, a member of the Farm Bureau, the Chamber of Commerce, the V.F.W., and the American Legion. Pete served as president of the Moorhead Rotary Club, with a record of 23 years of membership. He was also a member of the Beta Beta Beta Honorary Fraternity.

He was instrumental in bringing the Allen Canning Co. to Moorhead. He also served on the board of directors of South Sunflower County Hospital, and was a member of the Association of Hospital Governing Board. He was a deacon in the Moorhead Baptist Church, and a Gideon for over 35 years.

He taught vocational agriculture for 20 years at Sunflower Junior College and Agricultural High School. He organized the Mississippi National Guard unit in Moorhead.

Pete served from 1968 to 1975 in the Mississippi House of Representatives for District 13 in Sunflower County.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Patridge Wood of Moorhead; his daughter and son-in-law, Clairnelle and Dr. Andy Wilkerson of LaGrange, Ga.; his son and daughter-in-law, Clyde Leslie and Peggy Wood of Greenville; his sister, Erlene Wood Shook of Winona; and grandchildren, Everett Andrew Wilkerson of Atlanta, Ga., Leslie Ann Wilkerson of LaGrange, Ga., and Wesley Blake Wood and William Bryan Wood, both of Raymond.

Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Card Funeral Home, Indianola.

The service will be officiated by the Rev. Granville Watson of Bolivar, Mo., and the Rev. Doyle Cummings of Eupora.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Wood, William Wood, Everett Wilkerson, Leslie Ann Wilkerson, William Patridge, Samuel Everett Waldrup, Charlie Wood, Joe Ellis Stewart, Nathan Mobley and John Fowler. Honorary pallbearers will be the Moorhead Baptist Church deacons and the Indianola Camp of the Gideon International.

Brown

LAKE VILLAGE, Ark. -- Funeral services for Roy L. Brown, 54, of Irving, Texas, and formerly of Lake Village will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Christian Liberty Baptist Church, Lake Village. He died Sept. 5, 2001, at Southwest Medical Center, Irving. Burial will be in Little Greenland Cemetery, Lake Village, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville, Miss.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ransom and Gertrude Brown; three sisters, Dorothy Brown, Pearl Ella Brown and Bessie Smith; and one brother, Willie Brown.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Brown and Roy Brown Jr., both of Lake Village, Ark.; one sister, LuEthel Smith of California; three brothers, John Brown of St. Louis, Mo., and James Brown and Tellis Ford, both of Chicago; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be today from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

The Rev. Willie Farris is pastor of the church. The Rev. E. Brown will officiate.

Caples

DODDSVILLE -- Funeral services for Ruth Caples, 76, of Doddsville will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Gilfield Baptist Church, Doddsville. She died Sept. 6, 2001, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in the Gilfield Church Cemetery, Doddsville, under the direction of Dillon Funeral Home, Indianola.

Survivors include two sons, Wiley Caples Jr., of Milwaukee, Wis., and Eddie Caples of Lake Tahoe, Nev.; one daughter, Virginia Caples of Huntsville, Ala.; one brother, Claude Viverette Jr., and one sister, Olda Mae Donaldson, both of Pittsburgh, Calif.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The body will lie in state at the church Monday from 10 to 11 a.m.

The Rev. Dr. Mitchell Walker will officiate.

Clerk

BOYLE -- Funeral services for L.T. Clerk, 78, of Boyle will be today at 2 p.m. at Macedonia MB Church, Boyle. He died Sept. 5, 2001, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Macedonia MB Church Cemetery under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

Survivors include his wife, Willie Mae Clerk of Boyle; 13 daughters, Louise C. Turner of Chicago, Willie B. Smith, Elizabeth Hill and Dorothy J. Miller, all of Jamaica, N.Y., Carrie Mae Pearson of Boyle, Earnestine Reaves and Patricia Clerk, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, Josephine Clerk of Cleveland, Mary Rose Green and Bobbie Rose Porter, both of Albion, N.Y., Erceal McClemoore of Detroit, and Gloria McCoy and Barbara Wilder, both of Memphis; and eight sons, L.T. Clerk Jr., Elijah Clerk, John L. Clerk, Charlie McClemoore and Sylvester Clerk, all of Boyle, Nathaniel Clerk and Robert Clerk, both of San Antonio, Texas, and James Clerk of Chicago.

Bishop Herman Clerk will officiate.

Dillard

INDIANOLA -- Funeral services for Joe "Joe Joe" Dillard, 53, of Indianola were Saturday at Pleasant Green MB Church, Indianola. He died Sept. 5, 2001, at the Med in Memphis, Tenn. Burial will be today at 11 a.m. in Riverside Memorial Garden, Indianola, under the direction of Dillon Funeral Home, Indianola.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Dillard of Indianola; three sons, Derrick Wade, Eric Wade and Jasperell Dillard, all of Indianola; three daughters, Vaneter Dillard of Memphis, and Alicia M. Dillard and Joann Dillard both of Indianola; one brother, Freddie Dillard of Benoit; one sister, Cindy Simpson of Indianola; and four grandchildren.

The Rev. Al Jackson officiated.

Hogans

INDIANOLA -- Funeral arrangements for Julia Johnson Hogans, 82, of Indianola are pending at Byas Funeral Home, Indianola. She died Sept. 8, 2001, at her residence in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Rhodes

GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Jean Moore Rhodes, 75, of Greenville will be Monday at noon at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. She died Sept. 6, 2001, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Camp Ground Cemetery, Monticello, Ark.

Survivors include one sister, Geraldine Johnson of Greenville; one niece, Carmon Thomas of Greenville; and one special friend, Willie Kirkland of Greenville.

Visitation will be today from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville.

The Rev. Carolyn Hudson will officiate.

Stevens

HOLLANDALE -- Funeral services for Elisha Dennis Stevens, 73, of Hollandale, a retired farmer, will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Hollandale Baptist Church. He died of lung disease Sept. 8, 2001, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in the Hollandale Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.

He was a native of Darlove, where he graduated from the Arcola High School. He also attended Mississippi Delta Community College in Moorhead and Mississippi State University in Starkville.

Stevens was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. After his discharge, he returned to Hollandale where he was engaged in farming until his illness in 1989. He was a member of Hollandale Baptist Church, a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the VFW. He was past president of the Hollandale Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife Claudine Rawls Stevens of Hollandale; one son Michael Denis Rawls (Vicki) Stevens of Oxford; two sisters, Louise S. Lindsey of Cleveland and Mildred S. Braswell of Greenville; two brothers, J.F. "Pap" Stevens of Boyle and Robert E. Stevens of Hollandale; and one granddaughter, Victoria Clara Stevens of Oxford.

The family will receive friends today from 4 to 6 p.m. at Boone Chapel, Hollandale.

Williams

BENTON, Ky. -- Funeral services for Olive Sue Williams, 81, of Benton will be today at 2 p.m. at Collier Funeral Home Inc., Benton. She died Sept. 7, 2001, at her home. Burial will be in Hollinger Cemetery, Benton.

Survivors include her husband, Jesse L. Williams of Benton, Ky.; three daughters, Jayne S. Hollinger of Benton, Ky., Donna Horton of Greenville, Miss., and Cathy Utz of Indianola, Miss.; two sons, Jim W. Sigmond of Greenville, Miss., and Jerry Williams of Cartersville, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The Rev. Gene Gilliland and the Rev. Michey Lewis will officiate.

Wynn

GREENVILLE -- Services for Douglas Clinton Wynn, 69, of Greenville, an attorney, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. James' Episcopal Church, Greenville. He died of heart failure Sept. 7, 2001, at St. Dominic's Hospital, Jackson. Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville, has charge of arrangements.

Mr. Wynn, a longtime resident of Greenville, was the son of the late Margaret Brooks Wynn and William T. Wynn of Greenville.

He was a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, the Washington County Bar Association and the American Bar Association since 1957. He graduated from Yale University in 1954, the University of Mississippi Law School in 1956 and had practiced law in the Greenville area since September 1956.

Mr. Wynn had also been the chairman of the Washington County Planning Commission since 1986.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy Vaughan Wynn of Greenville; six daughters, Anne Wynn Weissinger of Rolling Fork, Margaret Wynn Fortier of Jackson, Martha Wynn Weissinger of Greenville, Lenore Doss Gault of Starkville, Vaughan Doss Simpson of Indianola, Virginia Elizabeth Doss of Cleveland and Cynthia Doss Cooper of Rogers Ark.; and one son, William T. Wynn of Jackson. He is also so survived by nine precious grandchildren whom he cherished very dearly, Douglas Weissinger of Greenville, Leila Weissinger, Charles "Charlie" Weissinger and Guy Weissinger, all of Rolling Fork, Molly Weissinger of Greenville, Christopher Collins Simpson of Indianola, Noah Gault and Dorothy Gault, both of Starkville, and Mary Bowman Cooper of Rogers, Ark.

Visitation will be held at the family home at 1810 Lake Manor Drive.

There also will be a short visitation at the St. James Episcopal Parish Hall at 1 p.m. Monday.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to the Lawyers and Judges Association Program Treatment Fund, P.O. Box 2168, Jackson., MS 39225-2168 or to the Stewpot Community Services, 1100 W. Capitol St., Jackson MS, 39203.
