Bolton

HATTIESBURG -- Funeral services for the Rev. Paul Bolton, 36, of Hattiesburg, a member of The Bolton Brothers Gospel singing group, will be Friday at 11 a.m. at McDowell Nance Memorial Center, Hattiesburg. He died Nov. 23, 2001, in a one-vehicle accident near Meridian. Burial will be in Bolton Cemetery, McClain, under the direction of Century Funeral Home, Hattiesburg.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, the Rev. Linwood Bolton Sr. and Mrs. Leola Bolton; and one niece, Sylvia Pearl Watts.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Bolton of Hattiesburg; four children, Paul Bolton, Tamyron Bolton, Gregory Bolton and Tarasha Bolton, all of Hattiesburg; 12 sisters, Catherine Freeman of Hattiesburg, Ceola Watts, Betty Brown and Mayor Mary Bolton, all of McClain, Linder Bolton of Moss Point, Rosie McSwain-Fairley of New Augusta, Lucille Shannon of Sherman, Texas, Jessica Baldwin of Greenville, Maeola Bolton of Bowie, Md., Ruthie Bolton-Holifield (WNBA player, Sacramento Monarchs) of Sacramento, Tanglyn Hardy of Denver and Inez "Baby Girl" Gibbs of Indianapolis; and seven brothers, the Rev. L.W. Bolton Jr. of Kansas City, Mo., the Rev. Allen Ray Bolton of Indianapolis, the Rev. Jerry Bolton of Shubuta, the Rev. Earl Hugger of McClain, the Rev. James Hollis Bolton and the Rev. Byrone Bolton, both of Hattiesburg, and Nathaniel Bolton of Tupelo.

Family hour will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at McDowell Nance Memorial Center, Hattiesburg.

The family would like to thank everyone for your prayers and support during this time of bereavement.

Cleveland

MATTESON, Ill. -- Funeral services for Jenette Watts Willis Golden Cleveland, 53, of Matteson, Ill., and formerly of Glen Allan, were Friday at New Faith Baptist Church, Matteson, Ill. She died Nov. 18, 2001, in Matteson. Burial was in Oak Woods Cemetery, Chicago, under the direction of Cage Funeral Home, Chicago.

Jenette Watts Willis Golden Cleveland was born June 19, 1948, in Glen Allan, Miss., to the late Eddie and Viola Watts. She confessed her belief in Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. John Johnson. She was a long-term employee with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where she dutifully worked until her omega.

She was joined in holy matrimony to Leon Cleveland. This union remained until her omega on Nov. 18, 2001. She was previously married to Nicholas Willis Jr. To this loving union, four children were born, one of whom preceded her in death, Nicholas Willis III. She later married Clarence Golden, who preceded her in death, and from this union one son was born.

Survivors include two daughters, Vicki (Julius) Murry and Felicia (Ronald) Davis, both of Chicago and two sons, Kelvin Willis and Terrence Golden, both of Chicago. Her love, kindness, smile and presence will forever be missed and her memories cherished by her survivors, Eddie Watts Jr. of Collierville, Tenn., James (Sylvia) Watts, Mary Ann Clark, Mary F. Bowie, Gladys Watts and Dianne (James) Batiste, all of Chicago, Sonny (Pearlie) Watts of Fresno, Texas, Emma J. Watts, Patricia (Charles) Chaney, Gloria (Jerry) Williams and Alice (Milton) Gaston, all of Greenville, Dorothy (Norman) Pickens and Thomas (Janice) Watts, both of Missouri City, Texas; two loving aunts, Ethel Walker and Annie Dent, both of Chicago; two uncles, Robert Wigfall of Venice, Ill., and Earnest Johnson of Chicago; 12 grandchildren, Julius Murry Jr., Marcus Murry, Christopher Murry, Jessica Murry, Nikia Willis, Sean Willis, Nicholas Willis IV, Nicole Willis, Nyeria Willis, Nick Angelo Willis, Jade Willis and Tierra Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Johnson

ANGUILLA -- Funeral arrangements for Lucinda Johnson, 72, of Anguilla, are pending at Walker Funeral Home, Rolling Fork. She died Nov. 26, 2001, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville.

Jones

GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Olive Jeanette Winslow Jones, 69, an insurance clerk of Greenville, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. James' Episcopal Church, Greenville. She died Nov. 27, 2001, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville, of heart failure. Burial will be in Ladoga Cemetery, Ladoga, Ind., under the direction of Hunt and Son Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, Inc. Local arrangements are by Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville.

She was born in Cayuga, Ind. She graduated from Ladoga High School in 1951. She married Robert R. Jones on Dec. 27, 1952. They made their home in Greenville since 1968. Mr. Jones preceded her in death in 1992. She was secretary for Fulwiler Elementary School before she became the insurance clerk for Dr. O'Neal. She later was the cashier at Washington School. She was very active in the March of Dimes and was a communicant of St. James' Episcopal Church. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Johnathan Jones, in 1980.

Survivors include two sons, Bob (Jeanne) Jones and Brad (Elizabeth Jones, both of Greenville; two sisters, Jane Hall of Frankfort, Ind., and Louise Fitzsimmons of Waveland, Ind.; and three grandchildren, Mathew Jones, Ashley Jones and Rebecca Jones, all of Greenville.

Visitation will be today from 5 to 6 p.m. at Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville. There will be a visitation at Hunt and Son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville, Ind., Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James' Episcopal Church Organ Fund.

Leaks

GUNNISON -- Funeral arrangements for Sam Otis Leaks, 77, of Gunnison are pending at Byas Funeral Home, Cleveland. He died Nov. 27, 2001, at his home.

Owens

GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for John "Dude" Owens, 84, of Greenville, will be today at 1 p.m. at New Jerusalem MB Church, Greenville. He died Nov. 23, 2001, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Delta Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Frye Funeral Home, Leland.

Mr. Owens was the owner of Owens Plumbing for over 55 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Agnes Hunter Owens; a daughter, Vera Owens Hobbs; his parents, Joe and Magetta Owens; two brothers, Joe and T.C. Owens; and two sisters, Illinois Owens and Irene O. Griffin.

Johnny leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, Jo Anne Owens Addison and Gail Lynn Owens, both of Greenville, and Agnes Stacie Owens of Lawrenceville, Ga.; one son, John Victor Owens of Dallas; four granddaughters; six grandsons; 23 great-grandchildren; and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dr. Jesse H. Jackson will officiate.

Stone

GLEN ALLAN -- Funeral Mass for Mary Louise Stone, 75, of Glen Allan, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Greenville. She died Nov. 26, 2001, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville, of heart failure. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville.

She was born in Forrest City, Ark., and moved to Meridian with her parents. She graduated from Meridian High School. She was employed as a teletypist at the Meridian Army Air Field during World War II. She made her home in Greenville where she was a teller with Greenville Bank & Trust Co. She married George W. Stone in 1949, and they made their home in Chatham. She became the bookkeeper for Stone Brothers Farm in 1982, and helped establish Pappaw's Christmas Tree Farm. She retired in 1999. She was a devoted wife and mother, and was a communicant of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, George W. Stone Sr. of Chatham; two daughters, Ann S. McCaskill of Leland and Julie S. Peyton of Hollandale; two sons, George W. Stone Jr. of Des Allemands, La., and Paul W. Stone of Glen Allan; one sister, Paula S. Goller of Cincinnati, Ohio; one brother, Dan Shanahan of Cankton, La.; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends today from 6 to 7 p.m., with a Rosary to be said at 7 p.m., at Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville.

Vance

INDIANOLA -- Funeral services for Betty Roberson Vance, 61, a retired employee of Tyson Foods of Indianola, will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Card Funeral Home, Indianola. She died of cardiac arrest Nov. 22, 2001, at her home. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Restland Memorial Park of Panola County, Carthage, Texas, under the direction of Lipsey Funeral Home, Carthage.

Survivors include four sons, James Vance of Jackson, Russell Vance of Greenville, Willie Vance of Carthage, Texas, and Elland Vance of Inverness; four sisters, Dorothy Oswalt of Greenville, Virginia McDaniel of Carthage, Texas, Fronie Holeman of Yazoo City and Nancy Webb of Oklahoma City, Okla.; four brothers, Bud Roberson and Cecil Roberson, both of Indianola, George Roberson of Jackson and O.B. Roberson of Carthage, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Card Funeral Home, Indianola.

GREENVILLE -- Funeral arrangements for Richard Ballard, 93, of Greenville, are pending at Watson-Edwards & Evans Funeral Home, Greenville. He died Dec. 20, 2001, at his home.

GREENVILLE -- Funeral arrangements for Corene Green, age unavailable, of Greenville, are pending at Harris-Brown & Marion Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Dec. 18, 2001, at her home.

Green

HOLLANDALE -- Funeral services for James Green Jr., 59, of Hollandale, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at New Prosperity MB Church, Arcola. He died Dec. 12, 2001, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Arcola Cemetery under the direction of Harris-Brown & Marion Funeral Home, Greenville.

Mr. Green was born to James Green Sr. and the late Elease Green in Hollandale, Miss., on June 23, 1942. He confessed a hope in Christ at Christian Light Church in Metcalfe under the leadership of the Rev. A.C. Gilmore. He was united in holy matrimony to the late Carrie Green. To this union, one son was born. He was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Green; one sister, Earnestine Logan; and one brother, Joseph Wiseman.

He leaves to cherish his memories his father, James Green Sr. of Hollandale; one sister, Fannie (Ezell) Landrum Sr. of Hollandale; three brothers, Eddie (Jeanette) Green and Roy (Gloria) Green, both of Greenville, and Milton (Eliza) Green of Hollandale; a devoted friend, Mary Moore of Hollandale; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jackson

SHELBY -- Funeral services for Catherine Jackson, 49, of Shelby, will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Macedonia MB Church, Shelby. She died Dec. 20, 2001, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland. Burial will be in Macedonia MB Church Cemetery under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Shelby.

Survivors include two sons, Anthony Black and Nakia Black, both of Springfield, Ill.; one daughter, Kathy Black of Shelby; five sisters, Annie Martinez and Mattie Bland, both of Shelby, and Bertha Durms, Lula Johnson and Ida Bland, all of Chicago; two grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Byas Funeral Home chapel, Shelby.

The Rev. John Mosley will officiate.

Jones

ROSEDALE -- Funeral services for Samuel Jones, 68, of Rosedale, will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Byas Funeral Home chapel, Cleveland. He died Dec. 19, 2001, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Rosedale.

Survivors include his companion, Allie Blanel of Rosedale; one son, Ricky Collins of Chicago; two daughters, Vicki C. Brown of Chicago and Shunda Guyton of Peoria, Ill.; one stepdaughter, Vera Blanel of Tunica; one sister, Margaret McGee of Memphis; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be today from 2 to 6 p.m. at Byas Funeral Home, Cleveland.

The Rev. Larry Williams will officiate.

Latham

INDIANOLA -- Funeral services for Henry L. Latham, 80, of Indianola, will be Sunday at 11 a.m. at Hayes Chapel of Byas Funeral Home, Indianola. He died Dec. 19, 2001, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital, Greenwood.Burial is pending at this time. Betty

Survivors include his wife, Irene Byas-Latham of Indianola; five sons, Henry Latham Jr., Donnie Latham and Freddie Latham, all of Chicago, and Harrison Latham and Earvin Latham, both of Indianola; four daughters, Floria Latham of South Bend, Ind., Rosie Lee Latham and Barbara Latham, both of Chicago, and Lillian Willard of Indianola; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Byas Funeral Home, Indianola.
