Leach
GREENWOOD -- Memorial services for Charlie Edward Leach Jr., 48, of Greenwood, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at New Zion MB Church, Greenwood. He died Dec. 14, 2001, at his home of heart failure. Local arrangements are under the direction of Century Funeral Home, Greenwood.
Mr. Leach was a former picture frame worker. He was born Jan. 12, 1953, in Minter City.
Survivors include one son, Bryan Terrell Leach of Detroit; two daughters, Stephanie Gail Leach of Detroit and Telisha Middleton of Greenwood; one stepson, Marlon Pierre Carter of Detroit; one brother, Larry Kent Leach of Greenwood; two sisters, Cynthia Gail Griffin of Greenville and Emily Denise Strong of Greenwood; and four grandchildren.

Moody
GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Rachel Lee Moody, 82, of Greenville, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Old Kindling Altar MB Church, Greenville. She died Dec. 19, 2001, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was born to Nancy Sidney on May 13, 1919, in West Point, Miss. She confessed her hope in Christ at an early age, and was baptized at the Rock of Ages MB Church in Shaw. There she served faithfully as an usher. She was united in holy matrimony to James Moody Sr. in Shaw. To this union eight children were born. One son, James Moody Jr., preceded her in death. She later moved to Greenville where she united in Christian membership with the Old Kindling Altar MB Church under the leadership of the Rev. E.P. Powell. Here she served as a faithful member until her health failed. She was a resident of the Dermott Nursing Home in Dermott, Ark., for a short period of time, and later became a resident of Autumn Leaves Nursing Home until her untimely death.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, James Moody Sr. of St. Louis, Mo.; four daughters, Nancy Moore, Georgetta Taylor and Rosie Hicks, all of Greenville, and Gloria (Marcus) Booker of Dallas; three sons, Henry (Minnie) Moody and Otis Moody, both of St. Louis, Mo., and Jerry (Virgie) Moody of Greenville; 34 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of cousins and special friends.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. The remains will lie in state at the church Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m.
The Rev. E.P. Powell will officiate.
Redmond
INDIANOLA -- Funeral services for Ruby Redmond, 91, of Indianola will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Byas Funeral Home chapel, Indianola. She died Dec. 12, 2001, at South Sunflower County Hospital, Indianola. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Garden, Indianola.
Survivors include one sister, Bobbie Smith of Chicago; and three nieces, Everlean Nunn Stovall and Mattie Lee Butler, both of Indianola, and Pearline Sutton of Mansfield, Ohio.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 6 p.m. at Byas Funeral Home, Indianola.

Thomas
CARY -- Funeral services for Cornelia A. Thomas, 84, of Cary, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion MB Church, Cary. She died Dec. 17, 2001, at The King's Daughters Hospital, Greenville. Burial will be in Cary Community Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home, Rolling Fork.
She was a retired school teacher of 40 years, a retired pianist for area churches, choir director, singer and communicator.
Survivors include two sons, Alfred "Rickey" (Patricia) Thomas Sr. of Cary and Early N. Thomas of Chicago; one daughter, Mary Ann (Earl) Watts of Chicago; three brothers, Claude Curtis of Columbus, Ohio, Warnee Curtis of Gary, Ind., and Fred Baker of East Chicago, Ill.; seven sisters, Earmie J. Mack, Mary F. Scott, Mary Moody, Lovie Harvey and Carrie McCray, all of Chicago, Betty (Arluster) Maxwell of Greenville, and Ora Curtis of San Diego; 41 grandchildren; and 50 great-grandchildren.
Viewing of the body will be at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday.
Pastor Alfred Thomas Jr. will officiate.
Vance-Williams
MOORHEAD -- Funeral services for Irma Jean Vance-Williams, 50, of Moorhead will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Luke Church of God In Christ, Moorhead. She died Dec. 12, 2001, at her home. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Moorhead, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Indianola.
Survivors include her husband, Isaac Williams of Moorhead; one daughter, Shikita Williams of Moorhead; four sons, Montenez Phillips of Clarksville, Tenn., and Kiwaski Williams, Latoby Williams and Issac Williams Jr., all of Moorhead; one brother, C.J. Vance of Indianola; three sisters, Helen White of Indianola, Cora Singleton of Moorhead and Mammie Williams of Greenville; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 6 p.m. at Byas Funeral Home, Indianola.

Muse
BELZONI -- Funeral services for Lillian Lorene Muse, 81, a retired cafeteria manager for Kirkpatrick Elementary School, from Brandon, will be today at 3 p.m. at National Funeral Chapel, Brandon. She died April 13, 2002, at Humphreys County Memorial Hospital, Belzoni, of respiratory failure. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery, Brandon .
Muse was born in Clarksdale, Miss., on June 9, 1920. She graduated from Dublin High School. She was a member of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary. She was a Baptist.
Muse was preceded in death by her only child, Edward Grady Muse, who died in the Vietnam War on Jan. 31, 1968.
Survivors include her husband, Marion Ed Muse of Belzoni, Miss.; 12 nieces and nephews; and several great-nephews.
Visitation will be today from noon until service time at 3 p.m. The Rev. Kevin Griffin will officiate. Drake Collins will assist in officiating.

Lane
GULFPORT — Military graveside services for Jerre Severs Lane, 54, of Gulfport and formerly of Greenville will be today at 2 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi. He died Dec. 14, 2002, at Veterans Hospital in Biloxi. Burial will be under the direction of Riemann Funeral Homes Inc., Gulfport.
Mr. Lane was a native of Greenville. He attended the University of Mississippi and was a partner in the family-owned business, Severs Flowers, in Greenville. He graduated from Millersburg Military Academy and served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. He was a Presbyterian.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Severs Lane; and his first wife, Linda Chambers Lane.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Lane of Gulfport; his father and stepmother, Jerre F. Lane and Connie Condon Lane of Greenville; two sons, Roy Severs Lane and wife, Jenny, of Pontotoc, Miss., and Jerre C. Lane and wife, Mitzi, of Tupelo; one daughter, Mary Beth Gilliam and husband, Jim, of Potts Camp; five grandchildren, Jeremy Gilliam, Chelsey Gilliam, Brett Lane, Mackenzie Lane and Markarthy Lane; and two aunts, Eileen Hasel of Greenville and Helen Sanderson of Kenton, Tenn.
McGraw
GREENVILLE — Graveside services for Tommie Lee Sullivan McGraw, 81, of Greenville, a retired registered nurse, will be Friday in Mize Cemetery, Mize. She died Dec. 9, 2002, at The King's Daughters Hospital, Greenville, after a lengthy illness. Burial will be under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mrs. McGraw was born in Mize, Miss., on May 13, 1921. She graduated from Mize High School and received her registered nurse's degree from Jackson Infirmary. In 1943, she married Winthrop Dada McGraw, and they made their home in Greenville, where Dr. McGraw was stationed at the Greenville Air Base. She was employed with both hospitals in Greenville and Oschner's Hospital in New Orleans. She was a Southern Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Winthrop D. McGraw of Greenville; one daughter, Mary M. Pieralisi of Leland; two sons, William "Bill" McGraw (Rose) of Greenville and Richard McGraw (Joyce) of Baton Rouge, La.; six grandchildren. Stephanie Folse of Mandeville, La., David McGraw of Houston, Texas, Daniel McGraw of Baton Rouge, La., Win Pieralisi of Oxford, Miss., and Anne McGraw and Emily McGraw, both of Greenville; and two great-grandchildren, Michael Folse and Matthew Folse, both of Mandeville, La.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
