Thomas
BELZONI — Funeral services for Annie Bell Thomas, 65, of Belzoni will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Zion Travelers MB Church, Belzoni. She died Dec. 13, 2002, at Humphreys County Memorial Hospital, Belzoni. Burial will be in Zion Travelers MB Church Cemetery under the direction of Delta Burial Corporation, Belzoni.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Thomas Jr.; her mother, Lula Winn; and father, Lesley Ross. She was retired head cook for Friends of Children.
Survivors include four daughters, Louise Winn and Nancy Winn, both of Louise, and Catherine Thomas and Elaine Gates, both of Isola; four sons, Joseph Thomas of Belzoni, James Thomas of Inverness, John Thomas of Yazoo City and Johnny Winn of Isola; two brothers, Richard Winn of Indianapolis and Robert Winn of Hollandale; two sisters, Vinga Garrett of Belzoni and Willie Mae Thompson of Louise; 25 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Tolton
ROLLING FORK — Funeral arrangements for Dorothy Tolton, 73, of Rolling Fork are pending at Watson-Edwards & Evans Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Dec. 14, 2002, at Sharkey Issaquena Hospital, Rolling Fork.
Peters
GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Edna Peters, 94, a homemaker of Scott, La., and formerly of Greenville will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Greenville, with burial to follow at Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. She died of heart failure Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at her home.
Mrs. Peters was born Oct. 15, 1908, in Belmont, Miss., to the late Lee and Elizabeth Byram. She was raised in Belmont where she attended public schools. She married Charlie Peters in 1921, and they moved to Greenville in 1951 where she lived until 2000 when she moved to Scott, La., to live with her daughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Peters, in 1967. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Survivors include four sons, J.C. Peters of Sebring, Fla., Charles (Bonnie) Peters of Amite, La., Terry Peters of Greenville, Miss., and Bobby (Starr) Peters, of Ava, Mo.; five daughters, Luerine Story of Scott, La., Jeanette (Sonny) Ferguson of Greenville, Miss., Sue (John) Jenkins of Greenwood, Miss., Billie Faye (Jack) Bean of Clearwater, Fla., and Betty (Walter) Hammack of Pensacola, Fla.; one sister, Allie Grimson of Belmont, Miss.; two brothers, Ray Byram of Tishamingo, Miss., and R.C. Byram of Belmont, Miss.; 37 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and 27 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home.

Causey
DREW — Funeral services for David Causey, 68, of Drew will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Christian Union Church, Drew. He died June 17, 2003, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland. Burial will be in Drew Cemetery, Drew, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Ruleville.
Survivors include his wife, Ceola Causey of Drew; three sons, Milton Causey of Drew, Melvin Causey of Detroit and James Causey of North Carolina; nine daughters, Brenda Cooper of Toledo, Ohio, Shirley Causey, Yvonne Causey and Mary Causey, all of Drew, Katherine Ratieff of Suisun City, Calif., Debra Causey of Milledgeville, Ga., Beverly Causey of Katy, Texas, and Peggy Causey and Patty Causey, both of Houston, Texas; one brother, Roosevelt Causey of Elgin, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 6 p.m. at Byas Funeral Home, Ruleville. The body will lie in state at the church Saturday from noon to 1 p.m.

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Carl Clinton, 49, of Greenville will be Saturday at noon at Agape Storge Christian Center, Greenville. He died June 16, 2003, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Delta Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Bea's Century Funeral Home, Greenville.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Clinton; four daughters, Jacqueline Clinton of Hyattsville, Md., Trinia McCray and Adriene Rome, both of Memphis, and Carisha Clinton of Greenville; two sons, Dexter (Stephany) Hemphill of Greenville and Darryl Davenport of Lemorre, Calif.; three sisters, Elois (Zack) Albert of Greenville, Doris Traylor of Chicago and Sharon Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio; four brothers, Willie (Latisha) Clinton of Gary, Ind., Felix Toy of Kuwait, Charles Toy of San Antonio, Texas, and Heddrex Toy of Greenville; two aunts, Pheobia Noble and Lillie Mae Smith, both of Greenville; nine sisters-in-law; eight brothers-in-law; 10 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 5 p.m. at Bea's Century Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. The remains will lie in state at the church Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon.
Cooper
GUNNISON — Funeral services for Jessie Cooper, 81, of Gunnison will be Sunday at 11 a.m. at Mercy Seat Baptist Church, Perthshire. She died June 18, 2003, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland. Burial will be in Morning Star Cemetery, Gunnison, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Shelby.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Cooper Sr. of Gunnison; two sons, Willie Roy Cooper of Gunnison and Thomas Cooper Jr. of Winstonville; two daughters, Ruby Hall and Peggy Price, both of Gunnison; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Byas Funeral Home, Shelby.

Hester
GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Leroy Hester, 82, of Greenville will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Kindling Star MB Church, Greenville. He died June 15, 2003, at his home after a brief illness. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Greenville, under the direction of Dillon Funeral Home, Greenville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter; and four sisters.
Mr. Hester was a devoted member of Mt. Calvary MB Church.
He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife of 62 years, Ruby Lee Hester of Greenville; one daughter, Ora Lee (Bobby) Travis of Hazel Cres, Ill.; one son, Rodger (Martha) Hester of Greenville; one sister, Frankie White of Greenville; nine grandchildren, four of whom he raised; 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Floyd (Dorothy) Davenport; and other relatives and friends.
There will be no visitation today. The body will lie in state at the church Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to funeral time, with family hour from 10 to 11 a.m.

INDIANOLA — Funeral services for Orterness Parker King, 78, of Indianola will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Beulah MB Church, Indianola. She died June 13, 2003, at Wiser Women & Children's Hospital, Jackson. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Gardens, Indianola, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Indianola.
Mrs. King is survived by her husband, Robert Lee King of Indianola; two daughters, Irene King Dixon and Rosie King, both of Memphis; five sons, Earnest (Lepora) King of Memphis, Willie (Tommie Lee) King of West Memphis, Ark., Tommy C. King of Jackson, Foster "LB" (Lindell) King of Indianola and Patrick King of Bloomington, Ill.; two sisters, Edith Henderson of Greenville and Jessie Mae Parker of Los Angeles; two sisters-in-law, Lucy King of Columbus and Clara Mae Humphries of Aliceville, Ala.; two brothers-in-law, Tommy C. King of Chicago and Bailus King of Phoenix; 25 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

INVERNESS — Funeral services for Darius J. Long, 9 months, of Inverness will be Saturday 11 a.m. at Hayes Chapel of Byas Funeral Home, Indianola. He died June 17, 2003, at Wiser Clinic for Women & Children, Jackson. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Gardens, Indianola.
He is survived by his mother, Shamika Long of Inverness; a grandfather, Robert Earl McGee of Long Beach, Calif.; and a grandmother, Josey Long of Inverness.

SHELBY — Funeral services for Carolyn Manuel, 33, of Shelby will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at H.J. Hank Chapel of Byas Funeral Home, Shelby. She died June 7, 2003, at University Medical Center, Jackson. Burial will be in Shelby Cemetery.
Survivors include her mother, Stella Brown of Memphis; her husband, Henry Manuel; five sisters, Dorothy B. Garner of Tutwiler, and Kathy Tyler, Rose Brown, Denise Brown and Michelle Brown, all of Memphis; one brother, Collie Brown of Memphis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
