GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Julius Lee "Noone" Ephrian, 49, of Greenville will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Jake's Chapel MB Church, Greenville. He died June 14, 2003, in Greenville. Burial will be in Delta Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

Julius Lee "Noone" Ephrian was born Aug. 24, 1953, in Greenville, Miss., to Josephine Johnson and B.S. Ephrian. He attended Coleman High School, Greenville.

He leaves to cherish his memories six children, LaShonda McCullum of Memphis, Julius McCullum, Julia McCullum (Jerome) Pickett, Tykan McCullum and Dwayne Adams, all of Greenville, and LueKisha Ephrian of McLeansville, N.C.; his parents, Josephine Johnson and B.S. Ephrian, both of Greenville; his siblings, Donald (Jeanette) Ford of Indianola, Jimmy (Betty) Ford, Clora (Seyron) Ford and Emmett (Delores) Ephrian, all of Greenville, and Ronnie (Monique) Ford of Texas; a grandmother, Clora Smith of Bellview, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; and 12 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville.

Pastor C.W. Ray will officiate.

Harris

MERIGOLD — Funeral services for Willie Harris, 88, of Merigold will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Apostolic Faith Church, Cleveland. He died June 15, 2003, at his home. Burial will be in Merigold Cemetery under the direction of T.L. Redmon Funeral Home, Cleveland.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 6 p.m., with family hour from 6 to 7 p.m., at T.L. Redmon Funeral Home, Cleveland.

Elder Terry Jones will officiate.

Johnson

ROSEDALE — Funeral services for Odessa Johnson, 89, of Rosedale will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at C.A. Burke Church, Rosedale. She died June 16, 2003, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland. Burial will be in New Hope Church Cemetery, Rosedale, under the direction of Bea's Century Funeral Home, Greenville.

Survivors include one daughter, Ida Atwater of Chicago; one son, George McAllister (Wilia) of Chicago; and one grandson, Lawrence Smith of Rosedale.

The remains will lie in state at the church Saturday from noon to 1 p.m.

The Rev. Tom Meeks will officiate.

Kinner

INDIANOLA — Funeral services for Willie Kinner, 56, of Indianola, a farmer, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Church of God In Christ, Belzoni. He died of heart failure June 16, 2003, at South Sunflower County Hospital, Indianola. Burial will be in Zion Traveler Church Cemetery, Belzoni, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Belzoni.

Survivors include five daughters, Mary Ann Kinner-Moore of Indianola, and Teresa Kinner, Brenda Kinner, Jennifer Kinner and Sherry Kinner, all of Belzoni; two brothers, Roydell Kinner and Raydell Kinner, both of Jackson, Miss.; and three sisters, Christine Rutherford of Chicago and Lorine Wise and Marilyn Wise, both of Jackson.

Visitation will be Friday from noon to 5 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home chapel, Belzoni.

Kyser

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Jerry "Jerry O" "Pops" Kyser Sr., 104, of Greenville will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Greater St. Peter South MB Church, Greenville. He died June 10, 2003, at his home. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

On Tuesday, June 10, our beloved father, friend and brother in Christ was called home to be with his Father.

A time to be born — Jerry was born in Hinds County, Miss., on Dec. 20, 1898, to the late Charlie and Callie Kyser.

A time to plant — Jerry Kyser confessed hope in Christ at an early age and became a member of Sinner Mount Zion MB Church under the leadership of the Rev. Burk. He moved to Greenville, Miss., in 1964. He then became a member of St. Peter MB Church under the leadership of the late Rev. E.C. (Bony) Williams. He served as a member of the senior choir for many years. He was employed by Burdine & Ross Construction Co. until his retirement in 1979. He was the remaining family member of his generation.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six children, two brothers, four sisters, four uncles, four nephews, one niece, six grandchildren and 12 cousins.

A time to love — Jerry Kyser Sr. leaves to cherish his memories his beloved and devoted wife, Margaret Kyser of Greenville; 10 children, Helena (John) Smith and Jerry (Jeraldine) Kyser Jr., both of Los Angeles, Jerry Echuls Kyser III, Dan Kyser, Mary Ann Johnson, Dorothy Kyser and Josephine (Jimmy Oliver) all of Greenville, Willie (Sheila) Kyser of Gary, Ind., and Ella Mae Curry and Michael (Pearl) Curry, both of Indianola; 47 grandchildren, including two devoted granddaughters, Annie (Atwood) Dean of Greenville and Shirley (J.W.) Rodgers of Cleveland and two devoted grandsons, Johnny (Teresa) Washington and Lionel (Linda) Johnson, both of Cleveland; 78 great-grandchildren; 62 great-great-grandchildren; 38 great-great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends, including two devoted nieces, Millie Sanders of Los Angeles and Minnie Reed Jones of Inverness; two devoted brothers-in-law, Nolan (Marshall) Echuls and Willie (Helen) Echuls, both of Chicago; two devoted sisters-in-law, Dessie Ree Overall and Bernise (Garry) Friedman, all of Chicago; a very special godson, Earnest "Boggie" Henderson of Gary, Ind.; and very special friends of the Kyser family, Queen Morgan, Rose Johnson, Ollie Washington, Bennie Williams and Alfred Rankins and family, all of Greenville.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. The remains will lie in state at the church Saturday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Pastor Jesse King will officiate.

Lewis

ROSEDALE — Funeral services for Paul Dearl Lewis, 42, of Rosedale will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Gospel Temple Baptist Church, Rosedale. He died June 12, 2003, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital, Greenwood. Burial will be in St. Andrew Cemetery, Beulah, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Rosedale.

Toy

BELZONI — Funeral services for Willie Lee Toy, 73, of Belzoni will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Goodwill MB Church, Belzoni. He died of heart failure June 14, 2003, at his home. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Isola, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Belzoni.

Survivors include nine sons, Robert Toy, W.C. Toy, Leroy Toy, Tommie Lee Toy, Charles Toy and Casey Williams, all of Belzoni, Larry Toy of Milwaukee, Vincent Toy of Atlanta, Ga., and Douglas Toy of Tulsa, Okla.; four daughters, Diane Toy and Savanna Sykes, both of Belzoni, Barbie Gibson of Dalton, Ill., and Geanette Wallace of New Orleans; one brother, Andrew Toy of Belzoni; three sisters, Sally Lloyd, Willella Brown and Sarah Young, all of Belzoni; 33 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday from noon to 5 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home chapel, Belzoni.

The Rev. T.P. Rush will officiate.

Walker

CLEVELAND — Funeral arrangements for Lula M. Walker, age unavailable, of Lynwood, Calif., and formerly of Cleveland, are pending at Byas Funeral Home, Cleveland. She died June 16, 2003, in California.

White

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Katie White, 69, of Greenville will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Kindling Star MB Church, Greenville. She died June 9, 2003, at The King's Daughters Hospital, Greenville. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery under the direction of Watson-Edwards & Evans Funeral Home, Greenville.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Myrtle Moore and Johnny Moore; and one son, Larry Moore.

She leaves to mourn her homegoing one son, Robert L. Moore of Greenville; seven sisters, Lillie (Leroy) Hardy, Pearl Moore and Shirley Moore, all of Greenville, Jimmie L. Woods of Detroit and Katherine Moore, Dorothy Simmons and Darlene Moore, all of California; five brothers, J.D. Moore, Otis Moore and George Alford, all of California, and Joseph Moore and Edward Moore, both of Greenville; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Watson-Edwards & Evans Funeral Home chapel, Greenville.

The Rev. Warnell Smith is pastor of the church. The Rev. Lester Jones will officiate.

Clark

INDIANOLA -- Funeral arrangements for Derrick Orlando Taylor Clark, 21, of Indianola are pending at Byas Funeral Home, Indianola. He died Sept. 5, 2001, at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis.

Condon

GREENVILLE -- A funeral Mass for William Patrick Condon, 84, of Greenville will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Greenville. He died of heart failure Sept. 5, 2001, at Wellington Place, Greenville. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville.

Mr. Condon was born in Winona, Miss., and moved to Leland and then to Greenville. He graduated from St. Rose of Lima High School. He then received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1939, where he was a member of the National Monogram Club as senior equipment manager. He then graduated from University of Mississippi with a degree in law in 1941. He married Mae Bissinar, and they made their home in Greenville. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps and served in the Pacific Theater in the Quartermaster Service, being discharged with the rank of major. He returned to Greenville in 1946. He rejoined the family business, P.D. Condon Drug Store, and remained employed there until retiring in 1983. He was past president of the Greenville Rotary Club and served on the board of directors of Mississippi Wholesale Drug Co. in Jackson. He was on the Greenville planning board. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where he served as a lector and was a past member of the Parish Council. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae B. Condon, in 1999.

Survivors include two daughters, Denise Thornton of Richland and Clair Marquis of Rosedale; two sons, William Condon of Hoover, Ala., and Sean Condon of Jackson; three sisters, Tootsie Thompson, Julia Farr and Connie Lane, all of Greenville; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

The family will receive friends today from 6 to 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with a rosary to be said at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph High School Building Fund.

Govan

GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Ada Bell Govan, 81, of Greenville will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Mariah MB Church, Greenville. She died Sept. 2, 2001, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Ruleville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

Survivors include one daughter, Rosie (John) Foster of Chicago; one sister, Rosie Boykins of Drew; one brother, Edverts Thadison of Chicago; one sister-in-law, Freddie McDaniel of Indianola; five grandchildren, Betty Fitzpatrick, Emma Darey, John Foster Jr., Stanley Foster and Alonzo Foster, all of Chicago; five great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two special nieces, Shonta Menton and Velma Williams, both of Greenville; one godson, James Collins Jr. of Greenville; two goddaughters, the Rev. Mildred Collins and Missionary Verline Davis, both of Greenville; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and the Mt. Mariah Church family.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville.

The Rev. Oscar Peace Jr. will officiate.

Ivory

HOLLANDALE -- Funeral arrangements for Johnie P. Ivory, 68, of Hollandale are pending at Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville. He died Sept. 4, 2001, at Community Hospice Care, Cleveland.

Oltremari

GREENVILLE -- Funeral arrangements for Martin Oltremari, 44, of Greenville are pending at Smith Funeral Home, Greenville. He had been missing since Aug. 15, 2001. His body was found Sept. 5, 2001, near his home.
