GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Sherril D. Thomas "1-4" Allen, 33, of Greenville will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. She died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident March 28, 2003, in Metcalfe. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ira Thomas; and one son, Jakendrick "J.T." Thomas.

Survivors include her husband, Tommie L. Allen of Greenville; two sons, Freddie Ware and Tomarius Allen, both of Greenville; four stepsons, Patrick Reed, Tommie Allen Jr. and Damion Norals, all of Leland, and Terry Allen of Vicksburg; one stepdaughter, Suzette Reed of Georgia; one sister, Bessie (Robert) Diggins of Greenville; her godmother, Cora Lewis of Greenville; two godsisters, Nikki Clark and Shenita Townsend, both of Greenville; four special nieces, Richlone Webster, Valeria Buggs, Lisa Melton and Natasha McCray, all of Greenville; one nephew, Michael McCray of Adrian, Mich.; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville.

The Rev. Edward Allen will officiate.

Dorsey

BELZONI — Funeral services for Aretrous Dorsey, 90, of Belzoni, a retired plant worker, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at New Beginning Church of God, Belzoni. He died of heart failure March 27, 2003, at his home. Burial will be in Humphreys County Memorial Garden, Belzoni, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Belzoni.

Survivors include three sons, Earl Weathersby of Moss Point, Eric Weathersby of Pascagoula and Dewayne Weathersby of Belzoni; and six daughters, Lisa Weathersby, Edna Weathersby, Erica Weathersby, Marilyn Weathersby, Danette Weathersby and Monique Dorsey, all of Belzoni.

Visitation will be Friday from noon to 5 p.m., with family hour from 6 to 7 p.m., at Smith Funeral Home chapel.

Elder Willie Hart will officiate.

Moore

GREENVILLE — Funeral arrangements for Jessie Moore, 92, of Whitfield and formerly of Greenville are pending at Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville. She died April 1, 2003, at Mississippi State Hospital, Whitfield.

Perry

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Eddie Perry, 66, of Rochester, N.Y., and formerly of Greenville will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Jones Chapel MB Church, Greenville. He died March 30, 2003, at his home. Burial will be in Delta Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Perry; and one brother, Mac Arthur Perry.

Survivors include one daughter, Troslyn T. Mitchell of Plano, Texas; two sons, David Joseph Perry and Jason Edward Perry, both of Los Angeles; his mother, Zennie Perry of Greenville; five brothers, Henry Perry of Kansas City, Mo., Leonard Perry of Greenville, Billy Perry of Las Vegas, Charles Perry of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Walter Perry of Rochester, N.Y.; three sisters, Jeanette Allen of New Orleans, and Zennie Moore and Cleola Perry-Brown, both of Rochester, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Jones Chapel MB Church, Greenville.

The Rev. A.B. Jackson will officiate.

Pierce

SUNFLOWER — Funeral services for Luther Morris Pierce, 86, of Sunflower and formerly of Greenville will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville. He died of heart failure April 2, 2003, at his home. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery.

Mr. Pierce was born in Doddsville, Miss., and graduated from Linn High School. He enlisted in the United States Army and served under General Patton during World War II in Africa and Italy. After his discharge, he returned to Sunflower County and later moved to Greenville, where he became a diesel engineer in the towing industry. He had made his home in Sunflower since 1995, and was a member of Linn United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred M. Pierce of Sunflower; two daughters, Jill P. Harvey and Sandra A. Murphy, both of Greenville; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

The family will receive friends Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville.

Reynolds

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Terry Reynolds, 54, of Greenville, a retired BellSouth systems technician, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Greenville. He died of heart failure April 2, 2003, at St. Dominic Medical Center, Jackson. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Mortimer Funeral Home, Greenville.

Mr. Reynolds lived in Greenville all his life and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tim and Laverda Reynolds.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy L. Reynolds of Greenville; three sons, Todd Reynolds and Robyn Reynolds, both of Jackson, and Scott Reynolds of Greenville; and one sister, Betsy Reynolds Simpson of Dallas.

Visitation will be today from 6 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Father Richard Somers will officiate.

Smith

ANGUILLA — Funeral services for James Smith Sr., 81, of Anguilla will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Locust Grove MB Church, Anguilla. He died March 28, 2003, at Greenwood Leflore Medical Center, Greenwood. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home, Rolling Fork.

Mr. Smith was a retired General Motors employee. He served his country in the United States Army.

Survivors include one son, James Smith Jr. of Portland, Ore.; seven daughters, Barbara Jones, Betty Long and Robin Mitchell, all of Saignaw, Mich., and Doris Smith, Virgie Smith, Ellen Smith and Mavis Smith, all of Portland, Ore.; two brothers, John Smith Jr. of Rolling Fork and Warren Smith of Chicago; two sisters, Josie Butler and Veola Baker, both of Chicago; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Special viewing will be Friday from noon to 1 p.m. at Locust Grove MB Church, Anguilla.

Pastor John McIntosh will officiate.

Smith

CLEVELAND — Funeral services for Jimmie Earl Smith, 78, of Cleveland will be Friday at 1 p.m. at St. Peter's Rock MB Church, Cleveland. She died March 28, 2003, at her home. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery, Cleveland, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Cleveland.

Survivors include one daughter, Gladys Ward of Cleveland; five sons, Willie Jackson of Drew, M.C. Smith of Chicago, and Johnnie Smith, Larry Smith and Mickey Smith, all of Cleveland; one sister, Eddie Taylor of Cleveland; 33 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be today from 2 to 6 p.m., with family hour from 6 to 7 p.m., at Byas Funeral Home, Cleveland.

The Rev. Samuel L. Brooks will officiate.

Smith

GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Minnie Smith, 81, of Crestview, Fla., and formerly of Greenville will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at New Mt. Bethel MB Church, Greenville. She died March 28, 2003, at the home of her daughter in Crestview. Burial will be in Delta Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Smith Sr.; one daughter, Ellen Anderson; and two sons, Leroy Smith Jr. and Eddie Smith.

Survivors include three daughters, Minnie Coren of Crestview, Fla., Lucille (the Rev. Jessie) White of Greenville and Jacqueline Smith of Boston; two sons, Joseph (Linda) Smith of Boston and Jeffery (Brenda) Smith of Memphis; 20 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. The remains will lie in state at the church Saturday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

The Rev. David Franklin will officiate.

Tackett

CARROLLTON — Funeral services for Audrey Ola Tackett, 83, of Carrollton, a homemaker, will be today at 3 p.m. at Williams & Lord Funeral Home chapel, Greenwood. She died of heart failure April 1, 2003, at her home. Burial will be in Centerville Cemetery, Carroll County.

She was born in Choctaw County, Miss., and lived in the Greenwood area most of her life. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Greenwood. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Sylvester Tackett.

Survivors include three daughters, Minnie Goss of Teoc, Miss., and Frances Barrentine and Bonnie Galey, both of Greenwood; six sons, George Tacket of Greenville, William Tackett, Charles Tackett, Lewis Tackett and Dale Tackett, all of Greenwood, and Wayne Tackett of Hattiesburg; one sister, Cleo Hardin of Union, Miss.; 21 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be today from noon to 3 p.m. at Williams & Lord Funeral Home, Greenwood.

Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

The Rev. J.C. Hubbard will officiate.

Tucker

INDIANOLA — Funeral services for Ether Lee "Lil Sis" Johnson Tucker, 89, of Indianola will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mount Olive MB Church, 4 1/2 miles east of Shaw. She died April 1, 2003, at South Sunflower County Hospital, Indianola. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Gardens, Indianola, under the direction of Dillon Funeral Home, Indianola.

She is survived by three daughters, Mamie Tucker Cole, Mattie Tucker and Lizzie (David) Tucker Johnson, all of Indianola; two sons, John (Diane) Tucker of Chicago and Willie (Juanita) Tucker of Indianola; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m., with family hour from 6 to 7 p.m., at Dillon Funeral Home chapel, Indianola.

The Rev. A.C. Gilmore will officiate.

Williams

PERTHSHIRE — Funeral services for Dennis Williams, 46, of Flosmoor, Ill., will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Mercy Seat MB Church, Perthshire. He died March 20, 2003, at his home. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery, Perthshire, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.

DREW — Funeral arrangements for Dennis Williams, 46, of Chicago and formerly of Drew are pending at Redmon Funeral Home, Rosedale. He died March 20, 2003, at his home.

Dunigan

INDIANOLA — Funeral arrangements for Cleaster Dunigan, 65, of Indianola are pending at Byas Funeral Home, Indianola., She died Aug. 12, 2003, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital, Greenwood.
