Myers
CLEVELAND — Funeral services for J.D. Myers, 55, of Cleveland will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Vernon Memorial Church, Cleveland. He died July 19, 2002, at his home. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Gardens, Cleveland, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Cleveland.
Mr. Myers was a veteran of the United States Army, and fought in the Vietnam War. While serving his country, he was decorated with the National Defense Service Medal, Purple Heart, Vietnam Campaign Medal W/60 DVC, Vietnam Service Medal and as an M-16 and M-14 expert. He attended Cleveland public schools prior to joining the Army. He was employed by DuoFast Corporation.
Survivors include four daughters, Euree Myers and Geraldine Wimes, both of Chicago, and Ju'Deiah Myers and Beatrice Williams, both of Cleveland, Miss.; two sons, Kenyon Williams of Detroit and Michael Perry of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 6 p.m. The body will lie in state Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

INDIANOLA — Funeral arrangements for Waddell Smith, 47, of Indianola are pending at Byas Funeral Home, Indianola. He died July 25, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville.
Washington
GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Nancy "Mrs. T" Washington, 86, of Greenville will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at New Hope First Baptist Church, Greenville. She died July 22, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville, under the direction of Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville.
"Mrs. T" was born Oct. 9, 1915, to the late Harrison and Carrie Brooks. She was a clerk at Brown's Pastry Shop for over 30 years. She was a resident of Autumn Leaves Nursing Home.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Ethel (Herman) Ganison of Greenville; one goddaughter, Irene Walker of Metcalfe; four granddaughters, Trinia Ganison Roberts and Tyira Ganison, both of Dallas, Valerie (Greg) Tidewell of Dunkinville, Texas, and Stephine Ceasar of Jackson, Miss.; two grandsons, Eric (Amy) Ganison of Richardson, Texas, and Herman (Bridgette) Ganison of Greenville; four great-granddaughters, Queenice, Tyrichia, DeAndria and Kiara; four great-grandsons, DeKendrick, Devante, Devron and Herman III; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Blandy Brooks of Greenville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
Visitation will be today from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. The remains will lie in state at the church Saturday from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Watkins
INDIANOLA — Funeral services for Fannie M. Watkins, 84, of Indianola will be today at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Green MB Church, Indianola. She died July 21, 2002, at University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Garden, Indianola, under the direction of Byas Funeral home, Indianola.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond Watkins of Chicago and Johnny Watkins of Indianola; two daughters, Armanda Keaton of Cleveland, Ohio, and Alice Carruthers of Chicago; four sisters, Leanna Buchanon and Q.C. Griffin, both of South Bend, Ind., Betty Jean McIntosh of Mesquite, Texas, and June Taylor of Blytheville, Ark.; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The body will lie in state today from 12:30 to 1 p.m. at the church.

Williams
WINSTONVILLE — Funeral services for Mary B. Williams, 97, of Winstonville will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Moriah MB Church, Winstonville. She died July 19, 2002, at her home. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah MB Church Cemetery under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Shelby.
Survivors include two sons, David Farr and Boyce G. Farr, both of Portland, Ore.; four daughters, Geraldine Bastien of Winstonville, Augusta Grimm and Anita O. Ball, both of Portland, Ore., and Christine Jones of Sacramento, Calif.; one sister, Bertha Sanders of Winstonville; 28 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 6 p.m., with family hour from 5 to 6 p.m., at Byas Funeral Home chapel, Shelby.

Woods
INDIANOLA — Funeral services for Elizabeth Woods, 56, of Indianola will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Delta Mission Church, Indianola. She died July 19, 2002, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital, Greenwood. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Garden, Indianola, under the direction of Byas Funeral Home, Indianola.
Survivors include her husband, Leroy Woods Jr. of Indianola; seven sons, the Rev. James (Marie) Kemp of Inverness, Carl (Beverly) Kemp of Indianola, Tim (Rose) Woods of Tennessee, Frederick (Linda) Woods, Patrick (Vickie) Woods and Leroy (Glenda) Woods III, all of Shaw, and Keith (Cynthia) Woods of Montana; one daughter, Gwen Woods of Shaw; two sisters, Ella Ree Kemp and Minister Nearline (Patrick) Hoskin, both of Indianola; and two brothers, Willie Kemp Jr. of Greenville and Robert Kemp of Indianola.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 6 p.m., with family hour from 6 to 7 p.m., at Byas Funeral Home, Indianola.

Worbington
GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Mary Louise Worbington, 66, of Greenville, a retired switchboard operator, will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. She died of heart failure July 24, 2002, at her daughter's home in Mantachie. Burial will be in Lakeview Gardens Cemetery, Greenville.
Mrs. Worbington was born Aug. 2, 1935, in Sunflower County, to the late Forrest and Lilla Clark. She moved to the Riverside area at an early age with her parents. She attended school at Riverside School. She was a retired answering service switchboard operator. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church on Gamari Road in Greenville. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Worbington, in 1994; two sisters, Alice French and Maybell Mitchell; and two brothers, Jim Clark and Buddy Clark.
Survivors include one son, Robert (Janice) Worbington of Memphis; three daughters, Gail (James) White of Greenville, and Fay (Billy) Blaylock and May Hamby, both of Mantachie, Miss.; one sister, Ethel Gafford of Avon; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandsons.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Greenville.

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Worbington requested that donations be made to First Assembly of God Church "Speed the Light" program.
Brown
HOLLANDALE -- Funeral services for DeTerrence Justin Brown, two months, of Hollandale will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Powerhouse Church, Hollandale. He died Oct. 13, 2002, at Children's Hospital, Philadelphia. Burial will be in Sanders Memorial Gardens, Hollandale, under the direction of Sanders-Byas Funeral Home, Hollandale.
Survivors include his mother, Jamekia Brown of Hollandale; his father, Terrance Howard of Hollandale; two grandmothers, Rose Brown and Sandra Howard, both of Hollandale; his grandfather, James Grisby of Hollandale; great-grandparents Ezekial (Bessie) Brown of Hollandale, Josef (Barbara) Stamps of New York and Ella Grisby of Leland; his great-great-grandmother, Sarah Brown of Greenville; six aunts, Alisha Brown, Antnayette Brown, Nekida Howard, Brandy Howard and Sandra Howard, all of Hollandale, and Nina (Darell) Johnson of Greenville; and two uncles, James Grisby Jr. of Hollandale and Melvin (Verdennia) Brown of Greenville.

Holmes
GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Vivian Rachael Holmes, 85, of Greenville, a homemaker, will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. She died of heart failure Oct. 14, 2002, at White Oak Manor, Spartanburg, S.C. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Greenville.
Mrs. Holmes was born Oct. 18, 1916, at Sioux Falls, S.D., to the late Harry and Esther Weaver Rosenwald. She was a resident of Greenville from 1972 until 2000, when she moved to Spartanburg, S.C. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Greenville. She was a lifelong Methodist. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Norman Woodrow Holmes, in 1987.
Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey Holmes and his wife Ann of Spartanburg, S.C., and Gary Holmes and his wife Judy of Vicksburg; one brother, Rogert Rosenwald; three grandchildren, Stephanie Holmes Burton of Spartanburg, S.C., Joey Holmes of Memphis and Kevin Holmes of Eupora; and three great-grandchildren.

Jackson
GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Beulah Mae Jackson, 64, of Greenville will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. She died Oct. 9, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville.
Ms. Beulah Mae Jackson was born March 12, 1938, to Pauline Jackson and Ira Jackson Jr. in Belzoni, Miss. Both parents preceded her in death. Beulah accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age in Wilmot, Miss.
Survivors include one daughter, Margaret Jackson of Greenville; one grandson, Sean Jackson of Greenville; one sister, Zelma (Fred) Brown of Greenville; one brother, Ira (Earlene) Jackson of Glenwood, Ill.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be today from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville.
