Mary Wildin
ROUNDUP - Mary Wildin, 87, died on May 14, 1999, at Roundup Memorial Nursing Home.
The oldest of nine children of Arthur William Wildin, Sr. and Georgina Turnbull, she was born April 10, 1912, in Klein, Mont. She attended Roundup High School, graduating as Valedictorian of the class of 1931. Mary worked many years for Dr. Vedova in Roundup until his death. She also worked for his successor, Dr. Gorder, for a period of time. She then ran for and was elected County Treasurer of Musselshell County. She continued working at the courthouse until her retirement.
Mary was a remarkable, kind and giving person. She devoted her life to helping raise her younger brothers and sisters and some of her nephews and nieces. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary. She was considered more of a mother and grandmother to several of us. She loved gardening and serving her church. She gave of herself to everyone she was around. She was a member of the Calvary Episcopal Church in Roundup.
Her parents; three sisters, Ethel Wildin, Ethel Underwood and Elsie Schneider; three brothers, Albert Wildin, Lyle Wildin, Arthur Wildin, Jr., and a half-brother Trevor Wildin of Bream, Gloucestershire County, England, and a nephew, Tommy Underwood preceded her in death.
Survivors include one sister, Anne Allen of Marion Ill.; one brother, Tom Wildin of Roundup; nephews and nieces, Bill and Roger Schneider, Marilyn Johnson, Alan and Dennis O'Dowd, Mavis Facer, Lowell Allen, Jr., Mary Hughes, Maureen Wildin, Russell, Daniel, David, Martin, and Marianne Wildin, and Shelley Francetich. We will all remember and miss her very much.
The end of life is in some ways like the end of a day. Life's journey is long. We get tired. We long for our labors to be finished and the suffering to be over. Ahead lies the night of death. But thank God, morning is coming!
For we walk by faith, not by sight. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord forever.

--II Corinthians 5:7-8
Funeral services will be held at 11 am. Friday, May 21, at the Calvary Episcopal Church in Roundup. Interment will be in the Roundup cemetery. There will be a reception in the church following the service. Memorials in Mary's name may be sent to the charity of your choice.
