Elizabeth 'Beth' Godbey
RED LODGE - Elizabeth "Beth" Godbey, 23, of Red Lodge, died in her sleep, Feb. 21, 1999. Beth was born to Susan (Newsom) and Jonnie Godbey, Feb. 16, 1976, in Montrose, Colo. She attended schools in Albuquerque, N.M., Durango, Colo., and graduated from Red Lodge High School, 1994. Beth had attended Montana State University-Billings.
Beth loved the outdoors: camping, fishing, cross country, and downhill skiing. She enjoyed sewing and quilting. She loved animals and had two special pets, Freddie and Clifford. She had a great time with her nieces and nephews, and loved to babysit for them. Bethie, we all love you and we will miss you.
Beth is survived by her parents, Jonnie and Susan Godbey of Red Lodge; sisters, Pam (Russ) Alexanderson of Albuquerque, and Denise (Dave) Bastian of Red Lodge; brothers, Bill (Beth) Godbey of Montrose, and Dwayne Short of Red Lodge; nieces and nephews, Alec, Karmen, Kelsey, Trey and Wes; and grandparents, Mac and Nettie Newsom of Montrose. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bun and Lena Godbey.
A Vigil service will be Wednesday, 7 p.m., St. Agnes Catholic Church, Red Lodge. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at St. Agnes Church. Visitation will be 12-5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1999, at Dahl Funeral Chapel, 708 S. McGillen, Red Lodge. Rite of Committal will be Saturday, Feb. 27, 1999, at Cedar cemetery, Montrose, Father Daniel Huber of St. Mary's Catholic Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements by Dahl Funeral Chapel, Red Lodge.

Robert Edgar Hogg
CODY, Wyo. - Robert Edgar Hogg, age 81, passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, at his home in Cody. He was born June 15, 1917, in Meeteetse, the son of Thomas and Mina Edgar Hogg.
Bob grew up in Meeteetse, attending school there. He married Frances Mary McSharry in Cody on Sept. 20, 1943.
Bob owned and operated a contract thrashing business prior to starting Robert E. Hogg Trucking in 1947. He moved his business from Meeteetse to Cody in 1967 which he continued to operate until his retirement in 1978.
Bob served as Park County commissioner for approximately 10 years. He also served on the Meeteetse School Board. In recent years, Bob enjoyed spending time at the Long Term Care Center visiting his wife who was a resident there.
His survivors include his wife, Mary of Cody; two sons, Robert Patrick Hogg of Casper, and James Louis Hogg of Billings; a daughter, Mary Margaret Flowers of Jackson; a brother, John R. Hogg of Meeteetse; seven grandchildren, Jason Richard Hogg, Angela Michele Hogg, Ryan Shane Hogg, Kyna Marie Hogg, Jodee Lynn Hogg, Dustin William Flowers and Martina Renee Flowers; and three great-grandchildren, Joshua Hogg, Jace Hogg and McKenze Skye Flowers. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James Oliver Hogg and Thomas Adams Hogg.
A memorial service for Robert E. Hogg will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at Ballard Funeral Home in Cody. Private interment services were held Monday, Feb. 22, at Riverside cemetery.

Harry Leo Birkenbuel
GREAT FALLS - Memorial services for Harry Leo Birkenbuel, 35, 1212 Sixth Ave. N.W., Great Falls, will be held Monday, April 26, at 3 p.m. at Billings Unitarian Fellowship, 2032 Central Ave., Billings, Mont. A gathering will follow at Sweet Surrender Restaurant, 2420 Grand Ave. Memorials are suggested to Great Falls Saddle Club, c/o Jack LaValley, Club Secretary, 417 26th St. N.W., Great Falls, Mont. 59404.

Archie Fred Buckingham
COLUMBUS - Archie Fred Buckingham, age 91, died peacefully Friday morning at Stillwater Community Hospital in Columbus.
He was born to Roy and Myrtle Buckingham on Aug. 18, 1907, in Hubbard County, Minn. He moved with his family to homestead north of Terry when he was eight years old
Archie attended Terry High School and was married to Henrietta "Tat" Tusler in 1926. To that marriage were born two sons and two daughters. Tat and Archie enjoyed years of family fishing trips and square dancing. Henrietta preceded him in death in 1963. Archie later married Lola Bolin, who preceded him in death in 1992.
Archie is survived by daughters, Leah Hendrickson and Fritzie (Tim) Walker, both of Columbus; son, Bruce of Mercer Island, Wash.; sisters, Eva (Ray) Youngbauer and Gladys (Alvin) Murphy, both of Miles City; brother, Robert of Worden; ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Henrietta and Lola, his son Lyle Robert "Bobby" Buckingham, a son-in-law John Hendrickson, one grandson, one great-grandson, four brothers and two sisters.
Services will be held on Tuesday, April 27, at 2 p.m. at the Community Church in Terry with interment to follow at the Prairie County cemetery. Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home of Terry is in charge of arrangements.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Stillwater Community Hospital or the Prairie County Hospital.

Kenneth Franklin Draper
Kenneth Franklin Draper was born Aug. 19, 1919, on the Draper Ranch in Red Lodge, the third of four boys born to Edwin and Addie Draper. He attended schools in Red Lodge and worked for Mobile Oil for 33 years, at times in North Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana.
Ken married Anna Marie (Schroetke) Tibesar in Billings on Sept. 27, 1975. They lived in Wyoming for a year and a half before retiring to Billings in 1977. Ken's love for his family and friends was displayed by his many acts of kindness and his ability to always be there when we needed him. His sense of humor and stories of his working days and childhood pranks amused us at those special dinners mom made for us all. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. Ken went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 23, 1999.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Marie; his stepson, Nick Tibesar and wife LeAnne and their sons, Noah and Adam; his step-daughter, Donna Kenyon and husband Steve and their children, Ryan Levine, Kobi, and Emily; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Louise, his daughter Darlene, and three brothers, Alvin, Lawrence, and Arnold.
We won't say, "good-bye" but "we'll see you later." You are safe in God's arms.
Visitation will be held 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Michelotti, Sawyers and Nordquist, 1001 Alderson Ave. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 26th, at West Side Baptist Church, 323 S. 32nd St. W. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 27th at Mountview cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Gideons or West Side Baptist Church.

Olaf Folkvord
SIDNEY - Olaf Folkvord, 88, of Skaar Community, N.D., rural Sidney, died Friday, April 23, 1999, at his home in McKenzie County.
Services will be at 2 p.m., MST, Tuesday, April 27, at the Squaw Gap Hall in Squaw Gap, N.D. Interment will be in the Sunnyside cemetery in Trotters, N.D. Fulkerson Funeral Home of Sidney in charge of arrangements.

George A. Parry
LEWISTOWN - George A. Parry, III, 85, died Thursday, April 22, 1999, at the Central Montana Medical Center of natural causes.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, in the St. James Episcopal Church with interment to follow in the Lewistown City cemetery. Cloyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

John G. Robertson Sr.
NIBBE TOWNSITE - John died Friday evening, April 23, 1999, at home surrounded by his family.
Survivors include his wife, Mabelanne; four sons: John Jr. (Sherrie), Ken, Brad, Vincent; one daughter, Karilyn Kraft (Dennis); five granddaughters: Angela, Jennifer, Kristina, Breeanna, Kirianna; one grandson, Justin; and great-granddaughter, Rosie.
A Graveside Service will be held at Pleasantview cemetery in Ballantine on Tuesday, April 27, at 2 p.m. Smith Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Dad was a plain ordinary honest man who never had a bad word for anyone. He always preached honesty and hard work to his children. One of his favorite sayings was "an honest dollar is worth ten crooked ones". He was a great father and husband. Everyone who knew him, tremendously loved him. An asset to society but he was needed in heaven. Goodbye dad, papa, pops, pa, grandpa. We love you so much; you will never be forgotten.

Bruce P. Badley
BIG HORN, Wyo. - Bruce P. Badley, 70, of Big Horn, died Tuesday, April 20, 1999, in Scripps Hospital in LaJolla, Calif.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 26, in Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheridan. Ferries Funeral Home of Sheridan is in charge of arrangements.

Harry Leo Birkenbuel

Archie Fred Buckingham
SOUTH COLUMBUS - Archie Fred Buckingham, age 91, died peacefully Friday morning at Stillwater Community Hospital in Columbus.

James Harry DeWolfe
GREYBULL, Wyo. - James H. DeWolfe, 70, died Wednesday, April 21, 1999, at his home in Greybull of natural causes.
A memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday, April 25, at the Church of Christ in Worland.

James B. Elliot
DENVER - James B. Elliot, of Denver, a retired Mountain Bell manager, died April 8 in Denver, of cancer. He was 66.
He was born Sept. 3, 1932, in Billings, and graduated from the University of Montana in 1954. He married Shirley Kessick in 1953.
Elliot served in the army during the Korean War. He worked for Mountain Bell and US West for 31 years, retiring in 1987.
He spent his retiring years working on the city golf courses.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Jamie; two sons, James S. and Andrew, all of Denver; two sisters, Jean MacDonald, Missoula and Ann Elliot, Shelby; and nine grandchildren.

Marie A. Halstead
Marie A. Halstead, 94, died Tuesday, April 20, 1999, in Billings with her family at her side.
She was born Antonia Lugeia Crainich on Nov. 15, 1904, in Italy. Her parents were Guiseppe and Rosa Crainich. She came to this country at the age of seven and was educated and graduated from high School in Fromberg.
On June 2, 1929, she married Harley Halstead and they had over 50 wonderful years together. They lived in Wyoming where their first daughter Eileen was born. They later moved to Montana where Harley worked for the Marathon Oil Co. at Dry Creek for 25 years. Marie spent her time making a home full of love and care for her family. Their second daughter Linda was born during this time. Marie enjoyed fishing with Harley, cooking and crocheting but most of all, she was a warm, compassionate and gracious woman who had a way with people. She held a passionate belief in the strength and loyalty of family.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Harley in 1982, two sisters, Cecelia and Maruta, a brother Eugenio (Jim), and a son-in-law, Kenneth Lewis.
Survivors include two daughters, Eileen Lewis and Linda Williams (Ray); grandchildren, Laura Barnes, Bruce Barnes (Sallie), and Aaron and Rachel Williams; and great-grandchildren, Owen and Janet Hoffman, and Erica and Nathan Barnes.
Mother, your spirit will live on in our families forever.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Mortuary. A celebration of Marie's life will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, at Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist Mortuary with interment in Rockvale cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Zachary Tyler Horn
FORT BELKNAP - Zachary Tyler Horn died shortly after his birth on Friday, April 23, 1999, at the Northern Montana Hospital at Havre. Wake Service will be 7 p.m., Sunday, April 25, at the Red Whip Center at Fort Belknap. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 26, at the Red Whip Center with burial in the Horn Family cemetery.
Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his parents, Charles G. Horn and Terry A. Messerly of Fort Belknap; sisters, Kaylene Ball, Meagan Ball, Clarissa Ball of Fort Belknap; brother, Zane Sibley of Frazer; maternal grandmother, Glenda Messerly; paternal grandfather, Gilbert Horn of Fort Belknap.
