SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Beverly Mae McElles, 63, died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, at Kane Funeral Home.

Thomas Joseph Parks
Thomas Joseph Parks, 46, of Billings, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Jan. 8, 1999. He was born June 22, 1952, in Omaha, Neb., the son of Robert and Margaret Parks and was one of seven children.
He graduated from Creighton Prep. in Omaha and from South Dakota State University with a degree in Fish and Wildlife Biology. Tom was a Natural Resource Specialist with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and had worked for the Department of Interior for over 20 years.
Tom loved the outdoors - fly fishing, wildlife viewing, river floating, camping, and all sports, especially baseball. He felt fortunate that his career was so closely related to his interests and allowed him to live in the natural beauty of Montana.
Tom and Meg Walters were married in 1983 and have two sons, Joe, 9, and Tyler, 4. In addition to his wife and sons, he is survived by his parents, Robert and Margaret Parks of Loveland, Colo.; his five sisters, Cathy Blais and husband Dave of Savannah, Ga., Barbara Parks of New York City, Margaret Lew of Washington, D.C., Rita Weil and husband Walter of New York City, and Jeanne Ball and husband Ted of Denver, Colo.; his brother Bob and wife Candy, also of Denver, Colo.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends.
We love you, Tom and will remember you forever, and will always treasure the time we had with you.
Visitation will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist Heights Chapel. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hope United Methodist Church, 244 Wicks Lane. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the "Parks College Fund" for Tom's young sons, c/o Billings Federal Credit Union, 2522 4th Ave. N., Billings, MT 59101, or the charity of one's choice.

Jessie Elnora Miller Preator
BURLINGTON, Wyo. - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt and friend crossed through the veil and departed this earth to be with her Lord Jesus Christ and her beloved husband, Eugene Eyre Preator, on Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, after losing a valiant battle with lymphoma cancer.
Jessie Elnora Miller Preator was born to John Franklin Miller and Emily Sophia Harms Miller on July 10, 1917, in Goodland, Ind. They migrated to Powell where her father farmed and she later lived with the Arlene Webster family in Burlington to finish her high school education.
This is where she met her husband, Eugene Eyre Preator. They were married on Oct. 20, 1935. To this union were born four children: Norma Elnora Christiansen of Logan, Utah, Emily Elaine (Martin R.) Heth of Hardin, Mont., Diana (Paul L.) Russell of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Roy Owen Preator of Lovelock, Nev. After the children were raised, Jessie joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and Eyre were sealed to each other at the Ogden, Utah LDS Temple.
Jessie was a homemaker, taking care of her children and other children in the Burlington community. She spent time with the 4-H group and always helped her dear friend, Agnes Aagard, with the booths at the county fairs held in Basin. Jessie was very active in her church in Burlington where she and Eyre lived for 60 years. She held several positions in the church during her life - that of organist, spiritual living and Relief Society teacher to name a few. Her artistic abilities too have been enjoyed by many and she spent many hours with her friends in her painting classes in Greybull.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, who passed away on Jan. 29, 1996; her brother, Raymond Franklin Miller and her parents. Due to ill health, she then moved to Hardin, Mont., where she spent her final days with her daughter, Emily, son-in-law, Robert and grandson, J.R. She is survived by her four children; Norma Elnora Christiansen of Logan, Utah, Emily Elaine (Martin R.) Heth of Hardin, Mont., Diana (Paul L.) Russell of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Roy 0. (Janet) Preator of Lovelock, Nev.; 15 grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and nine step-great grandchildren.
Jessie was such a loving, gifted and wonderful woman, always with a smile on her face and sparkling brown eyes. All I can say is, "Mother, I will miss you but I know you are now walking with God."
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, in the Burlington Wyoming LDS Chapel. Interment will follow in the Burlington cemetery. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Lucille Lulu Snell
POPLAR - Lucille Lulu Snell, age 9l, of Poplar, died at the Glasgow Hospital Jan. 8, 1999.
She was born Dec. 24, 1908, to parents Jefferson and Kate (No Breast) Davis in Poplar. She lived in Poplar all of her life. She was well known for her star quilts. She did a lot of crocheting, enjoyed canning, and worked at a cannery when she was younger. She was a member of the Dakota Presbyterian Ladies Aid of Poplar. She always loved to visit relatives locally and in Fort Belknap. She married Louis H. Snell at the Presbyterian Church in Poplar on Dec. 13, 1926. He preceded her in death in 1946.
She is survived by one son, James Snell of Poplar; four daughters, Margaret Big Leggins, Edna Snell, Agnes Ward, and Rose Morsette all of Poplar; 23 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sons, Kenneth and Roy Snell, and Dewey Eagle, one baby boy and one baby girl, and one sister, Christine Davis Douglas.
Services will be Wednesday, Jan. 13, at 10 am. at the Lindsey Memorial Presbyterian Church in Poplar, with a wake on Tuesday evening at the Cultural Center in Poplar. Burial will be at Box Elder cemetery in Rural Poplar. A lunch will follow burial at the Cultural Center in Poplar. Rev. Enright Big Horn officiating services. Clayton Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Lamont J. Stein
ASHLAND - Lamont J. Stein, 59, died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Billings.
Private memorial services will be held at St. Labre Indian Mission Chapel. Cremation has taken place. Cremation or Funeral Gallery were in charge of arrangements.

James Phillip Urban
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - James Phillip Urban, 47, died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at his home.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services to be held at a later date in Loveland, Colo. Kane Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Gail Michael Branstetter
BASIN, Wyo. - Gail Michael Branstetter, 50, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at Deaconess Medical Center in Billings.
Visitation will be from 12-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, at the Atwood Family Funeral Home in Basin. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14 and from 2-9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15, at the Klinger Mortuary in Springfield, Mo. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at the Maple Park cemetery in Springfield, Mo., with interment following.

Mary Clara Cwalinski
Mary Clara Cwalinski, 89, of Billings, passed away Saturday morning, Jan. 9, 1999, at Deaconess Medical Center in Billings. She was born in Newark, New Jersey on Aug. 10, 1909.
Mary was raised and educated in Newark. She married Walter E. Cwalinski in 1938. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Walter in the retirement years. He preceded her in death in January of 198O. Mary moved to Billings in 1993 to be near her son and his family. She loved craftwork, especially knitting quilts and crocheting. While in New Jersey, she was an active member of the senior citizen's center in Sussex. In addition to her husband Walter, she was preceded in death by her brother John Yuelling, and a sister Clara Sisbarro.
Survivors include her son Walter A. Cwalinski and his wife Judith of Billings; her daughter Lorraine Smith of Toms River, N.J.; her brother Frank Yuelling of Fla.; two sisters, Annie Lepore and Tessie Novatin of New Jersey; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist Alderson Chapel.

Fred Robert Ellis
BASIN, Wyo. - Fred Robert Ellis, 85, died on Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at the Deaconess Medical Center in Billings, Mont.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, at the Atwood Family Funeral Home in Basin. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, at the Basin-Greybull Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints between Basin and Greybull.

Norma Evelyn Dersham McGraw
Norma Evelyn Dersham McGraw, passed away Jan. 8, 1999, at Eagle Cliff Manor. Norma was born in Terry, on Feb. 20, 1916, to Robert Harold Dersham and Jessie Phipps Dersham. She grew up on the family ranch north of Terry.
Norma married Miles McGraw, Feb. 24, 1936, in Stanley, N.D. They lived in several places including Alaska, Terry, Miles City, Shepherd and the last several years in Billings.
Norma loved to sew, knit, and crotchet, always making quilts, sweaters, and doilies for her family and friends. She also loved to play the piano and organ before suffering a stroke seven years ago.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Eunice.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 63 years, Miles of Billings; one daughter, Cherril Sorensen and her husband Lloyd of Plentywood; three sons, Roger McGraw and his wife Janet of Shepherd, Gerald "Butch" McGraw and his wife Connie of Shepherd and Kurtis McGraw of Billings. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, her step-mother, Helen Dersham of Miles City, one sister, Agnes Remus of Billings, and one brother Arthur Dersham and his wife Audrey of Bandon, Ore.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist, Heights Chapel, 528 Lake Elmo Drive. Cremation has taken place.

Esther Mehling
Esther Mehling, 81, of Billings, formerly of Hardin, passed away Friday evening, Jan. 8, 1999, in the St. John's Lutheran Nursing Home.
She was born Sept. 15, 1917, in Ballantine, a daughter of Henry and Anna Marker Heagle. She grew up in the Crow Agency area and attended Hardin High School for one year.
Esther married John Mehling Sr. on Dec. 21, 1933, in Hardin at the old German Lutheran Church and the couple spent the next 53 years farming and ranching in the North Valley. She worked at the side of her husband, as well as being a homemaker and rearing their children. Mr. Mehling died in 1987.
In 1988, Esther moved to Bridger near her daughter, Sharon. With failing health, in 1994, she moved to Westpark Village Retirement Center in Billings and then transferred to St. John's Lutheran Home in 1995.
She was a life-long member of the Christ Evangelical and Reformed Church in Hardin. Throughout her life, Esther especially enjoyed gardening - producing both vegetables and flowers in abundance. We praise the LORD that she is now at peace with him in a most beautiful heaven.
Esther was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry, Alex and Walter Heagle and one grandson, Michael Mehling.
Survivors include two sons, John Jr. and his wife, Darlene Mehling of Hardin, Bob and his wife, Penny Mehling of Terry; two daughters, Beverely Mehling of Billings, Sharon and her husband Dick Ragland of Bridger; one sister, Irene Gilbert of Texas; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and all the loving staff of St. John's Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, in the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Fairview cemetery. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the E & R Church, Hardin, MT 59034.

Robert A. Mock
SHERIDAN - Robert A. Mock, 71, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan.11, at Kane Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Eagles Section of the Sheridan Municipal cemetery.

Michele Lynn (Phillips) Moffet
Michele Lynn (Phillips) Moffet, 33 of Billings, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at Saint Vincent Hospital. She was born in Billings on April 27, 1965, to her very proud and grateful parents, Wilbur and Linda Phillips, both of Billings.
Educated in Billings, Michele was most content as a wife and mother. She was united in marriage with Blake Moffet on July 21, 1984. Michele, you loved the children and me so very much. We all loved you as much as life itself. In your own ways you helped to make us strong. We will love and miss you for the rest of our lives and you will live in our hearts forever.
Michele was a free spirit who was not afraid to speak her mind. Her number one priority in life was raising her two young children, Preston, 12 years old, and Ariel, 7 years old. She was a very caring and loving mother. We will miss you so much, Mom. Michele was involved in several fund-raising activities to help her children and others to participate in various youth programs. Her children's enjoyment was her gratification. Her other interests included camping, boating, skiing, swimming, surfing the Internet, working in her vegetable and rose gardens, and caring for her pets.
In addition to her husband, Blake, and children, Preston and Ariel, she is survived by her parents, Wilbur and Linda Phillips; her two older brothers, Mike Phillips and Rick Phillips and his wife, Erin; her mother and father-in-law, Thomas and Sheri Moffet, all of Billings; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, with whom she kept in contact with because of her family oriented nature. Michele was preceded in death by her grandparents of Rawlins and Baggs, Wyo., and her cousins, Victor Ray and Ike Phillips.
We are so thankful that God shared Michele with our families during her short stay in this world. She was truly a shining light in her Mom and Dad's life. Our sadness, though very deep-seated, turns to comfort knowing she is now in Heavenly Peace with our Lord Jesus Christ. Michele, we will all miss you so very much.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, at Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist Alderson Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Milous Repka officiating. Interment will follow in Mountview cemetery.

Ethel H. Noyes
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Mrs. Ethel H. Noyes, 84, of Salemtowne Retirement Community died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at Winston-Salem. Mrs. Noyes was born in Westboro, Wis., and lived the majority of her life in Billings, Mont. She and her husband, Leonard W. Noyes, moved to Winston-Salem in 1981. He preceded her in death in 1985.
She was a charter member of Moss Agate Chapter of Eastern Star in Billings and a life-long member of the Church of Christ Scientist. She had been a member of Pine Brook Country Club prior to residing at Winston-Salem.
Surviving are two sons, Mr. Leonard D. Noyes and his wife, Beverly, of Winston-Salem and Mr. Richard Noyes and his wife, Carla, of Simi Valley, Calif.; a sister, Ruby Peterson, of Hamilton, Mont.; and four grandchildren: Mr. Christopher Noyes of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; Mr. David Noyes of Winston-Salem; Mrs. Nicole Eller of Glendale, Ariz.; and Miss Kelly Noyes of Neptune Beach, Fla.; and one great-grandchild, Ally Eller.
A memorial service will be held for family and friends at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 10, at Vogler and Sons Reynolda Road Chapel by Rev. J. Marion Rector. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salemtowne, 5401 Indiana Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
