Barbara Mary Grundhauser
Barbara Mary Grundhauser passed away on Sunday May 16, 1999, after several years' valiantly battling colon cancer. She was born on Aug. 9, 1941, in St. Cloud, Minn., the only daughter of Clarence P. and Pearl L. Jesok. Barbara had two sons during her first marriage and moved to Billings in 1973. She married Carl Grundhauser, her lifetime love, on Aug. 17, 1990. Together they lived each day to its fullest and cultivated foundations of love, respect, and devotion to all that knew them.
Barbara received a beautiful gift during her illness. The gift was given by Carl, but those close to her believe it was sent by God. This gift came in the form of beady black eyes and long matted black hair. "Muffin" was rescued from the animal shelter and immediately endeared herself as a member of the family. She slept many hours by Barbara's side, comforting and soothing her pain.

Barbara was a loving wife and mother, who's compassion touched hundreds of lives. Barbara was a dedicated and loyal employee of Buttrey Food and Drug for 22 years and retired in March 1998. In her position as cashier, she was given the opportunity to meet many people who became friends. Barbara made friends easily with people from all walks of life because she respected each person as an individual. She truly believed that every person has something positive to offer and her compassion for others allowed her to always find that positive aspect.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father Clarence P. Jesok. She is survived by her husband, Carl; mother, Pearl Jesok of Billings; brother, Joseph Jesok and wife, Mickey of Fresno, Calif.; her sons: Steve Domek and wife, Sindy of Billings, and Donald Domek and friend, Orlando of Miami, Fla.; step-son, William Grundhauser of Worden; step-daughter, Carla Grundhauser of Billings; niece, Mary Crawford and nephew, Mike Jesok of California.
