LOVELL, Wyo. - Joe Edward Tyrrell, 78, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999, in the North Big Horn Hospital after a long illness.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services are pending and will be scheduled at a later date. Atwood Family Funeral Directors, Inc. is in charge.

Mildred "Faye" Phay
POWELL, Wyo. - Mildred "Faye" Phay, 80, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at the Powell Hospital.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Miratsky-Easton Funeral Chapel.

Benjamin Mollett
CLARK, Wyo. - Benjamin Mollett, age 6, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999, at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Funeral services for Benjamin will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, at the Clark Recreation Center in Clark. Burial will follow in Bennett Butte cemetery.

Freeman Lacy, Jr.
Freeman Lacy, Jr., 69, of Billings, passed away at his home Nov. 23, 1999, following a long illness.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at the Wayman Chapel AME Church, 402 S. 25th St. Cremation has taken place at Smith Crematory.

Anna Lucille Marks
RED LODGE - Anna Marks, 83, passed away at Cedar Wood Village in Red Lodge on Nov. 22, 1999. She was born to Marko and Mary (Krpan) Rukavina on May 12, 1916, at Mecaha. She was united in marriage to Dugal Marks on Aug. 23, 1947, at Malta. She loved to dance, cook and enjoyed fishing.
Anna is survived by her husband, Dugal of Bridger; three brothers, Matt Rukavina, Pete Rukavina and Jack Rukavina; one sister, Margaret Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Phyllis Rukavina Johnson; three brothers, John Rukavina, Tony Rukavina and Mike Rukavina.
A Service will be held at Dahl Funeral Chapel in Red Lodge on Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, at 2 p.m. Scattering of ashes will take place at a later date.

Margaret A. Wagenhals
GLASGOW - Margaret A. Wagenhals, 87, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999, in Glasgow.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at the United Community Church in Beach, N.D., with interment in the Beach City cemetery. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Beach is in charge.

Frances Marie Gams
POWELL, Wyo. - Frances Marie Gams went to be with the Lord on Nov. 20, 1999. Frances was born to John and Lydia Spomer on Feb. 2, 1912, in Gilead, Neb. She moved to Kane in March of 1920. Frances was confirmed on May 20, 1928.
Frances married Peter Gams on Feb. 23, 1935. They lived and farmed in Kane until 1965 when they moved to the Powell area.
France loved gardening and sharing the produce with family and friends. She also loved fancy work and was proud of the many ribbons she won on pieces that were entered in the fair. Frances was also active in the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Powell.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Kathy Mortimer of Powell and her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Pete Brano of Billings. Her grandchildren include Michael and Kelley Brano, Christie and Jess Conitz, all of Billings; Mark and Kitty Mortimer of Worland; Kevin and Nancy Mortimer of Arvada, Colo.; and Jody Lange; Great-grandchildren include Kyle and Morgan Brano and Ty Conitz of Billings; Sean and Will Mortimer of Worland; and Trevor Thane. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Peter Gams; a daughter, Carol; a son, Pete William; two sisters, four brothers and one stepsister.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Powell. Interment was in the Lovell cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Powell Senior Citizens Center.
Haskell Funeral Home of Lovell is in charge of arrangements.

Earl Douglas 'Doug' Kale
Earl Douglas "Doug" Kale died of a heart attack this Monday, Nov. 22, 1999.
Doug was born on April 18, 1944, in Sidney, to Earl and Betty Kale. His family lived for a short time in Savage and later moved to Billings which became their permanent home for 55 years.
Doug graduated from Billings Senior High School and joined the Army Reserves. In 1966, he married his wife, Judi Hodik. They have two sons, Jason and Ryan.
Doug's life career centered around building construction. He worked with his father, brothers and various Billings contractors. Many of the homes and buildings in Billings were built by Doug and his family.
He also volunteered many of his hours to stock car racing, the Army Reserves, Heights Volunteer Fire Department, Home Builders Association, and Billings Heights Little League.
Survivors include his wife, Judi; sons, Jason and Ryan; mother, Betty; sisters, Sharon (Leo) Wingerter and Annette (Bill) Merrell; brothers, Jerry (Sharon) and Bill Kale; brother-in-law, Al Hodik (Mary); and sisters-in-law, Charliene Holmes and Margaret Peterson. Doug also has 11 nieces and nephews and 13 great-nieces and nephews, and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Earl W. Kale; mother-in-law, Ruth Satterthwait; and nephew, Paul Holmes.
Doug was a special man to so many people. We will miss him always.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, at Smith's West Chapel, 304 34th St. W. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Smith's Downtown Chapel 4-9 p.m. Thursday, and Friday morning until service time at the West Chapel. A luncheon will follow the graveside service at the Atonement Lutheran Church, corner of Wicks Lane and Lake Elmo Drive.

Irene L. Beedle
BOZEMAN - Irene L. Beedle, 85, formerly of Cartersville and Hardin, died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at the Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at the Beals Mortuary Chapel in Forsyth with interment in the Forsyth cemetery.

Harold Gabel
VALIER - Harold Gabel, age 68, longtime tavern owner from Valier, passed away Tuesday at the Marias Care Center in Shelby due to natural causes.
At his request, no service will be held and cremation has taken place under the direction of the Whitted Funeral Chapel.
He was born Jan. 26, 1931, at Fairview, to Conrad and Lydia Gabel and was raised and educated in Savage. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. He then lived in the Cut Bank area and drove truck for the Dow Chemical.
In April of 1974 he purchased Harold's Club Tavern in Valier, which he has operated since that time.
Survivors include two sisters, Irene Stordahl of Fort Peck and Alma Schmterer of Sidney; brother, Henry Gabel of Worland, Wyo.; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Debi Shephard of Valier.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Ralph P. Burger
BUFFALO, Wyo. - Ralph Peary Burger, 84, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999, at Johnson County Hospital.
A memorial service is pending. Adams Funeral Home is in charge.

Iva A. Sims
MALTA - Iva A. Sims, 93, died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at the Country Home of natural causes.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, at the Adams Memorial Chapel with interment in the Malta cemetery.

Frances 'Frosty' Brockie
HARLEM - Frances "Frosty" Brockie, 68, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at the Northern Montana Hospital of natural causes.
Wake services will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, at St. Paul's Mission in Hays. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at the mission with interment in the mission cemetery. Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge.

Laura Weslie Dow
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Laura Weslie Dow, 18, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999, of natural causes.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at Kane Funeral Home.

Margaret L. Hill
HELENA - Margaret L. Hill, PHN, MN, passed on peacefully and quietly at home Nov. 19 after a long illness.
She was born in Lewistown, Aug. 3, 1920, and was raised on a ranch west of Shawmut. She attended school and played on the women's basketball team in Shawmut, and graduated from High school in Snohomish, Wash., in 1938.
Margaret attended at Montana State College in Bozeman; Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester, Minn.; Loma Linda University in California; and the University of Washington.
During World War II she was a nurse. She married William Hill on Dec. 4, 1942, in Billings.
After the war she raised two boys, worked as a public health nurse in California, and a Nurse Specialist for the Congenital Defects Clinic at the University of Washington. Upon retirement Margaret and Bill moved to Helena and enjoyed traveling in Western Montana.
Margaret is survived by her caring and loving husband, William; a son, Robert of Billings; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Judith of Seattle; and a brother, Webster Bridges of Helena.
A Resurrection Eucharist will be celebrated at St. Peter's Episcopal Church at 10 a.m. on Friday. The graveside committal will be at Wheatland County cemetery in Harlowton at 2 p.m. on Friday.

Jennie Bromberg
REDSTONE - A funeral service for Jennie Bromberg will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 26, 1999, at Redstone Hall, Redstone. Pastor Waveland King will officiate and burial will be at Highland/Outlook cemetery in Outlook. Jennie, 81, died at Sheridan Memorial Hospital on Monday afternoon, Nov. 22, 1999.
Born in Daleview on May 20, 1918, Jennie was one of six children of Loyd and Caroline Bantz. She went to grade school at the Desonia School and graduated from high school in Plentywood. Jennie then attended teacher's college in Havre. After graduating, her first teaching position was at the Leet School, near Archer. Between 1937 and 1974, Jennie taught for 19 years in the Leet, Courtney, Wanso, Phelps and Redstone schools. One of the highlights of her teaching career was taking her students on field trips throughout several states, even as far as the four corners (Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado).
On March 17, 1941, Jennie married Ed Bromberg from Redstone. They made their home on the farm. In 1977, they bought the Midway Tavern in Raymond. Ed and Jennie enjoyed traveling and went to Hawaii in 1978 and Alaska in 1980. She also enjoyed playing cards, gardening and putting on Sunday dinners for family and friends.
Jennie is survived by her five children: Janice Anderson of Plentywood; Marvin of Outlook; Gail Gatz and her husband, Kirby of Redstone; Edwin of Plentywood and Melvin of Redstone, on the family farm. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren: John and Tracey Bromberg, Nicki Stahl and Kari Hustad, Benjamin and William Bromberg and Ryan Anderson, Loy Numiller, Chase Anderson and Jamie Leigh Gatz; three great-grandchildren, and one expected in June of 2000. Jennie is also survived by a brother, Glenn Banta and a sister, Edna Rundt, both of Sun City, Calif. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed; and three brothers: Jack, George and Lawrence (Penny) Bantz.
Fulkerson Funeral Home of Plentywood is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Cynthia Nichelle Graves
June 8, 1999 - Nov. 19, 1999
BUFFALO, Wyo. - Funeral services for Cynthia Nicelle Graces, 5-month-old infant daughter of Tim Graves and Nicole Rough of Fargo, N.D., will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, from the Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Rev. Grant Adams officiating. Private family interment will be held at a later time in Barnum.
