GLENDIVE - Marian Charlotte Dillon, 94, formerly of Lindsay, died Monday, Nov. 15, 1999, at the Glendive Medical Center Extended Care Facility.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at the United Methodist Church with interment in the Dawson Memorial cemetery. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home is in charge.

Helen Ann Steel
LEWISTOWN - Helen Ann Steel, 91, of Lewistown, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999, at Valle Vista Manor of natural causes.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, in the Cloyd Funeral Home Chapel with interment in the Lewistown City cemetery.

Amelia Julius
Amelia Julius, 89, of Billings, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at her home.
Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held at Terrace Gardens cemetery. Smith's Crematory was in charge.

Verna E. Antrim
A beautiful heart stopped beating Nov. 15, 1999. Verna Antrim was 83 years and 10 days old when she passed away at Valley Health Care Center in Billings.
Verna was born Nov. 5, 1916, at Lavina, of Norwegian parents, John and Gunda Larson. She was one of eight children in the family. She was baptized Lutheran and was a member of the American Lutheran Church. She graduated from Lavina and attended Billings Normal School.
Verna was married to Louie Antrim. Aug. 11, 1940, at Roundup. He preceded her in death Jan. 30, 1999. They had lived at Roundup, Lewistown and Butte before retiring to Billings. Verna had worked as credit manager for Sears and as city treasurer at Lewistown.
Verna's family would like to thank the staff at Valley Health Care Center for all their love and compassion during this difficult time. You took such wonderful care of our mom. Also, we would like to thank the Geriatric Department and Dr. Ron Smith of the Billings Clinic for their care of mom through these past years.
"Dearest Mom. Although our hearts are very heavy now as we let you go, we know that you and Dad are together and happy once again. This makes our burden easier to bear. 'So long, ' mom, not goodbye as you'd say. We love you and will miss you, oh so deeply. Love, Sharon."
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon (Jerry) Jones of Billings; a brother, Lloyd (Gladys) Larson of Billings; a sister, Geneva (Ted) Crouse of Roundup; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews including special nieces, Dorothy Miller and Bertha Russell of Maple Valley, Wash.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, at Smith West Chapel, 302 34th St. W., Billings. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday. Memorials: Alzheimer's Association, 2 Poly Drive, Billings, Mont. 59101 or charity of one's choice.

Harley W. Norris
BASIN, Wyo. - Harley W. Norris, 57, of Basin and formerly of Powell, died Monday, Nov. 15, 1999, at Hot Springs Memorial Hospital in Thermopolis.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at Crown Hill cemetery in Powell. Ballard Funeral Home of Cody is in charge.

Julia Ellen Bittick 'Judy'
On Nov. 9, 1999, at the young age of 58, Judy Bittick went home to be with the Lord she loved so much. She was born in Billings on Feb. 2, 1941, the daughter of Jefferson D. and Julia M. (Johnson) Bittick.
Judy attended Baseline and Washington Schools in Billings. She worked at the Billings workshop, St. Vincent DePaul and for five years at Goodwill Industries as a clothes sorter. Judy supported the Employment Achievement Award and was an artist who displayed her art with Growth Thru Art. She enjoyed YWCA activities and church potlucks, prayer retreats and Sunday School classes. Judy also enjoyed painting, reading, doing jigsaw puzzles and shopping with her sister, sister-in-law or anyone else who would take her. Judy was the Mustangs' best fan and attended their games as often as she could.
She is survived by her sisters, Sally Bittick of Billings, Mary and her husband, Mike Gilkerson of Malta; brother, Bill Bittick of Wheatridge, Colo.; and her sister-in-law, Donalda Bittick of Billings. Her brother, Jerry Bittick, and her parents preceded her in death. Judy was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, at Dahl Funeral Chapel with interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Growth Thru Art.

Christine Traver
LAUREL - Christine Traver, 94, of Laurel, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999, at Evergreen of Laurel.
Christine was born on Jan. 25, 1905, in Turtle Lake, N.D., to Henry and Katherine Fichtner.
She married Grant Traver and together they spent the majority of their lives in Laurel.
Christine enjoyed playing cards, tatting, and making sequined calendars. She also loved to cook in her younger years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Grant; eight brothers and sisters; and her daughter-in-law, Darlene.
She is survived by her son, Lloyd of Silesia; one brother; three sisters; one granddaughter; three step-granddaughters; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, at Smith Funeral Chapel in Laurel. Interment will take place at the Laurel cemetery.

Robert 'Tubs' Washut
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Robert Paul "Bob" "Tubs" Washut, 71, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, at Sheridan Manor.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Kane Funeral Home with private family interment.

Ed Randash Sr.
GREAT FALLS - Great Falls businessman Ed Randash Sr., 87, passed away Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999, at a local hospital of natural causes.
Ed was born June 12, 1912, in Golva, N.D. He was united in marriage to Esther Ohnstad on Sept. 6, 1941, in Omaha, Neb. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
Ed started Randash Motors, Chrysler-Dodge dealership in Baker, which he owned from 1946 to 1961. He moved to Great Falls and began Napa Stores, which he owned and operated until he retired in 1985.
He enjoyed his family, fishing and golfing. He was the father of the oldest surviving quadruplets in Montana.
Survivors include his wife, Esther Randash of Great Falls; daughters, Dolores Seay of Great Falls and Dorothy Forder of Highwood; sons, Edward Randash Jr. of Billings and Dean Randash of Helena; a brother, Elmer Randash of Moorhead, Minn.; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna May Randash, in 1947.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, at the Faith Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Highland cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church. O'Connor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lillian Adam
ROLETTE, N.D. - Lillian Adam, 88, formerly of Greybull, Wyo., died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, at the Presentation Care Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at the Ebenezer Lutheran Brethren Church with interment in the Rolette cemetery. The Keplin Funeral Home is in charge.

Dorothy L. Robinson
STURGIS, S.D. - Dorothy Loraine Robinson, 86, formerly of Billings and Lame Deer, Mont., died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, at her home.
At her request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel.

Einar Treaholt
WOLF POINT - Einar Treaholt died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, at Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point. He was 101 years old. Einar was born in Jerslev, Denmark, on April 29, 1898, the fifth child of nine born to Jens and Sine Traeholt. On May 3, 1925, he married Margarethe Ibsen. In 1929, after the birth of two children, the young family ventured to the USA, arriving in Scobey, March 29, 1929. They farmed and ran a dairy business in that community for several years. In 1941, they moved to Wolf Point where Einar, along with his father-in-law and brother-in-law, owned and operated the John Deere implement dealership. However, farming lured them away from that business and the Traeholt family returned to the land in 1949, farming on the Cottonwood Creek and later in the Lustre community north of Wolf Point. Mr. Traeholt was an active member of the First Lutheran Church in Wolf Point. He served many years on the Wolf Point Trinity Hospital Board of Directors. He was also instrumental in obtaining the site for the Faith Lutheran Retirement Home. This was his "home" for the final 14 years of his life. Einar was preceded in death by his wife, Margarethe; one daughter, Ida; and three grandsons...Jeff, Mark and Chris. Surviving are his children, Arne (Dorothy) Traeholt, Wolf Point; Jens (Janice) Traeholt, Bismarck, N.D.; Carl (Cheryll) Traeholt, Wolf Point; Don (Eileen) Traeholt, Lustre; and Mary (Dwight) Baker, Columbia Falls. He leaves 16 grandchildren and their families, plus nieces and nephews in the U.S. and in Denmark. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 16, at the First Lutheran Church in Wolf Point with Rev. Timothy Whiteman officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood cemetery. Clayton Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Arthur Strandvold Knudsen
SCOBEY - Arthur Strandvold Knudsen, 76, passed away Nov. 9, 1999, at the Daniels Memorial Nursing Home. Art was born Feb. 17, 1923, near McCabe, the son of Strandvold and Gerda (Pedersen) Knudsen. The family moved from McCabe to the Bredette community in 1923.
He attended the Cusker, Bredette, and Poplar schools before continuing to work on the family farm. While attending the Bredette School, he learned to play several instruments and was in a band. This interest continued throughout his life. He played the violin, guitar, mandolin, and harmonica with which he entertained many of us with music and singing.
Art loved children and the feeling was mutual. His nephews and nieces thought he was the greatest. He always had time for them, made them laugh a lot, and remembered them on special occasions. He enjoyed telling stories about the "old days, " visiting museums, braiding ropes, and collecting. Art also enjoyed breaking horses to ride and drive and used them on his farm and ranch; he took great pride in his horses. On Oct. 9, 1963, Art married Bernice Thompson and together they farmed and raised Angus cattle.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice of the family farm; daughter, Mary Beth and her husband, John Hauso and their son, Kyle of Culbertson; son, John and his wife, Sandi and their son, Lane Arthur of the family farm; sisters, Eleanor Sorger of Wolf Point, Betty Hubbard of Missoula; brothers, Alan of Missoula, and Roy of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Clifford.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at the Scobey Lutheran Church.

Dale Waters
RICHEY - Funeral services for Dale Waters, 74, Richey, will be held at the Alliance Church in Richey at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, with Pastor Vaughn White officiating. Interment will be in the Richey cemetery under the direction of Fulkerson Funeral Home of Sidney.
Dale William Waters was born in Richey, Aug. 30, 1925, to Ardis (Argent) and Otis S. Waters. Dale was the second of seven children. He attended Richey schools and graduated from Richey High School in 1942. He was united in marriage to Mickey Lynn on Nov. 14, 1948, at the Methodist Church in Richey, with Rev. Charles Pierce officiating. They spent their life on the farm northwest of town and in Richey, where their five children attended school.
Dale loved working with horses, enjoyed going to auction sales and visiting with people. For many years he was a greeter at the Alliance Church.
Dale's family was always his first concern and he never had an unkind word for anyone.
Dale died on Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999, at the Sidney Health Center on Dale and Mickey's 51st wedding anniversary.
Dale is survived by his wife, Mickey; children: Mary K. Daws (Honolulu), Bryan Lynn (Richey), Carmen Lou (Billings), Carla Sue Perkins (Miles City), and David Dale (Richey); five grandchildren: Kerry Sue, Joseph Wayne, Cresta Lee, Kalina Leigh, Kendra Jo, and two great-grandsons: Kevin Reed and Connor Blake; three brothers: Stanley (Erda) Waters, Lynn (Jackie) Waters, Delbert (Patsy) Waters, all of Richey; a sister, Verna (Eldon) Kemmis of Sidney; an uncle, Robert Argent (Steele, N.D.); and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harold and Keith.

Arthur J. 'Buck' Stilson
LEWISTOWN - Arthur J. "Buck" Stilson, 69, of Lewistown, died early Sunday morning at his home of cancer. He was born March 31, 1930, in Lewistown, the son of Arthur M. and Caroline Anna (Hruska) Stilson. He received his schooling in Lewistown, graduating from St. Leo's High School in 1948. He then worked in the Lewistown area until entering the U.S. Army. After his discharge he returned to Lewistown. He worked in the Lewistown area until 1956 when he moved to Great Falls. There he worked for Gamble Robinson Company, working as a delivery driver and in the warehouse. He also worked at Croxford and Sons Mortuary as a nightman. On Sept. 29, 1956, he was united in marriage to Barbara R. Miteff in Great Falls. While in Great Falls he would return to Winifred on weekends and in the summer to do his farming. In 1976, they moved to Lewistown and he farmed full-time at Winifred. Barbara died in 1998; he continued living in Lewistown and farming at Winifred until the time of his death.
Buck was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodges of Lewistown and the American Legion of Lewistown.
He loved to fish and hunt; if he wasn't farming you would find him fishing or hunting.
He is survived by one son, Michael of Deer Lodge; one daughter, Lori Brown of Great Falls; two sisters: Margaret Irish of Whitehall and Mildred "Tootle" Bogan of Gaithersburg, Md.; four grandchildren: Angella Ratliff, Erica Griffin and Elizabeth Brown, all of Great Falls, and Nathanial Stilson in Texas; three great-grandchildren: Christopher Griffin, Aaron Hemphill and Colter Ratliff, all of Great Falls; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Liturgy for Arthur J. "Buck" Stilson will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Leo's Catholic Church; Vigil Services will be Friday at 7 p.m. in the Church. Interment will be in the Lewistown City cemetery. The Cloyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Friends may make memorials to the Central Montana Hospice or the charity of their choice and they may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Hone.

Curtis William Jenkins
Curtis William Jenkins, 86, or Billings, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999, at his home.
He was born Jan. 4, 1913, in Rock Springs, Wyo., to Thomas W. and Sarah Gayely Jenkins.
Curtis retired to his home in Billings in 1978 after working for Mobile Oil Co. 23 years, retiring as Field Superintendent.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Casper, Wyo., the York Rite Bodies in Williston, N.D., and Kem Shrine Temple in Grand Forks, N.D. He was also a member of the Kem Widows and Orphans in Grand Forks and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara, of 60 years; son, Harold and his wife, Roberta; daughter, Colleen Capps of Houston, Texas; grandson, Ryan and his wife, Kathy and great-granddaughter, Thresa Joy; and grandson, Scott Jenkins.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at Smith's West Chapel, 304 34th St. W. Interment will follow at the Belfry cemetery. Visitation will start 9 a.m. Wednesday at Smith's West Chapel.
Memorials may be made to Big Sky Hospice, P.O. Box 35033, Billings 59107; Shrine Hospitals, P.O. Box 20673, Billings 59104; Ronald McDonald House, 1144 N. 30th St., Billings 59101; Family Services, 1824 First Ave. N., Billings 59101 or charity of choice.
