He was an outstanding football and track star in high school, holding the South Dakota record for the 100-yard dash.
He married his wife of 61 years, Irene Hare, and they came to Missoula in 1942. Larry chose his career based on the kindness given by the funeral director following his father's unexpected death. He became owner of Marsh, Powell and Livingston Funeral Home and was elected to three terms as Missoula County coroner, winning one election in a landslide. An avid UM Grizzly football and basketball fan for 60 years, he also was a biased fan at many of his grandchildren's sporting events.
Having come from a loving family, Larry carried this love to his own family. That was his greatest gift.
He is survived by his wife, Irene; daughter, Shari (Bob) Dayton, and grandchildren, Katherine, Michael, and David Dayton of Billings; son, Don (Alison) Livingston and their four children, Sam, Elizabeth, Paige Livingston and Shaunna Swegel (Rick); and a great-great-granddaughter, Ashley Swegel.

Elizabeth Hagmann
On Nov. 4, Elizabeth Hagmann died peacefully in her sleep while on vacation in Coronado, Calif. Beth was defined by her ability to see the good in other people, the beauty in nature and the bright side of any difficult situation.
Beth was born in Hardin in 1916 to Ethan and Sallie Howell and spent her first 11 years there. Then the family moved to Minneapolis where Beth graduated valedictorian of her high school. She turned down a college scholarship (something she always regretted) and took a job with a prestigious law firm. She worked in Minneapolis at the Federal Reserve Bank and in Washington, D.C. for Senator Zales Acton before returning to Billings for good.
On a blind date at the Skyline Club overlooking the Rims, she met her future husband, Dr. Edward Hagmann. Though he was called away in mid-date on a medical emergency, it didn't impede their relationship and they were married in 1947. They honeymooned in Hawaii and returned many times by themselves and with family to enjoy this special place.
Beth and Ed's two daughters, Linda and Carol, were the focal point of Beth's life and she cared for them selflessly. No two people were ever blessed with a more loving mother. She and Ed introduced them to the joy and adventure of travel, both in Montana (to ghost towns and on camping trips) and abroad.
The family purchased a cabin at East Rosebud Lake in 1973 and it became the focal point for family activities.
After Ed passed away in 1990, Beth found a very special companion and loving friend, Dr. Alfred M. Fulton, who kept her young in heart and mind. They continued to travel and enjoy life to the fullest to the very end.
Beth was a proud 50-year member of P.E.O. She will be remembered for her zest for life and the joy she brought to others. She lived by the Golden Rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Family and friends brought joy to her and she in turn filled all our lives with her happiness. She will be missed and always remembered.
Beth is survived by her two daughters and their families: Linda and Jim Baker of Double Oak, Texas, and their children, Noel Morin of Spokane and Michael of Missoula; and Carol and Hank Fischer and their sons, Andy and Kit of Missoula. She is also survived by her loving friend, Al Fulton.
Beth never forgot a saying that her father taught her: "Life is service to others." Please make any memorials to the Billings YWCA or your favorite charity.
A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church on Monday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m.
