Viva M. Aldrich
Viva M. Aldrich, 92, passed away Dec. 13, 1999, at St. John's Lutheran Home where she has resided since 1986. She is survived by a son, Jack and wife, Alice, two granddaughters, Debbie and Jan.
Cremation has taken place, burial will be in South Dakota.

Patricia Stewart Cleveland
Memorial services for Patricia Stewart Cleveland will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, at the Huntley Project elementary gym.
Memorials may be directed to the Cleveland Scholarship Fund at Huntley Project School.

John A. Bushman
GLASGOW - John Albert Bushman, 73, died on Dec. 12, 1999, in Billings Deaconess Hospital of natural causes.
Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 15, at St. Raphael's Catholic Church. Funeral services will be at noon on Thursday, Dec. 16, at St. Raphael's Catholic Church with interment in Highland cemetery. Bell Mortuary is in charge.

Tracey Lynn Cooper
SHERIDAN, WYO - Tracey Lynn Cooper, 37, of Sheridan, died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999 in an auto accident near Hardin, Mont.
Cremation has taken plane and memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999 at the Holiday Inn in Sheridan, Wyo. Champion Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Florence M. Buss
SHERIDAN, WYO. - Florence M. Buss, 82, lifelong Sheridan resident, passed away Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999, at the Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.
In honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Kane Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Marvin Lea Dodd
MONTEREY, Calif. - Marvin Lea Dodd, formerly of Billings, died of a sudden heart attack while working on Monday, Dec. 6, 1999, in Monterey, Calif. He was 67.
Lea graduated from Pacific Grove High School and served in the U.S. Navy. Prior to moving to Billings in 1964, he was a deputy sheriff for Monterey County. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid golfer.
Lea is survived by his mother, Zula Mae Dodd of Marina, Calif. and three daughters, Robin (Tim) Deguara of Billings; Randi Dodd of Wadsworth, Ill.; and Terry Dodd of Northern Calif.
Cremation has taken place.

Hershel Owen Merry
CIRCLE - Hershel Owen Merry, 95, died Dec. 9, 1999, at the Sutter Roseville Med Center in Roseville, Calif.
Visitations will be held from 2-9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at the Clayton Memorial Chapel in Circle. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 17, at the Evangelical Church of Circle. Interment will be in the Riverview cemetery in Circle. Clayton Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Ronald Celander
MILES CITY - Ronald Celander, 48, passed away Friday, Dec. 10, 1999, at the Deaconess Medical Center in Billings.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec 15, 1999 in the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will be at a later date in the Bonnievale cemetery in Baker. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements.

Lucille H. Goetzinger
PLENTYWOOD - Lucille H. Goetzinger of Plentywood died Dec. 11, 1999, in the Sheridan Memorial Nursing Home. Lucille was born in Plentywood, March 2, 1918, to David and Martha Nelson. She attended Rocky Springs School through grade eight.
Before her marriage, she "worked out" as a hired girl for several farm families including the W. D. Dooleys, after whom the town Dooley was named. Lucille married Eldred Goetzinger on March 12, 1936, in Plentywood.
Lucille and Eldred rented several farms in the Comertown area before buying the farm just south of Dooley where they raised their nine children. Lucille kept the records for their registered Aberdeen Angus cattle, and especially in the last years, she was the business manager of the farm.
A woman of conviction, loyalty, courage, and a terrific sense of humor, Mama spent her life worrying about and caring for her husband, children, and anyone, anywhere who was going through a hard time. Her determination, practical wisdom, and unwavering confidence in her children exerted a profound influence over the directions of their lives. Mama was a voracious reader, and she enjoyed cooking and genealogy. As a girl and young woman, she was a skilled horsewoman; while working for Mr. Dooley, she helped him herd cattle in addition to helping Mrs. Dooley in the house. She told many an entertaining story.
Mama's surviving sons are Chester, who lives in Red Deer, Alta., with his wife, Donna; and Hal of Miami, Fla. Seven daughters survive: Marilyn of Helena and Plentywood; Sylvia, husband Gerald Adams of Central Point, Ore.; Anita, husband Larry Coleman of Charlo, Mont.; Betty Lou, husband Jean-Paul Mandler of New Milford, Conn.; Ellen, husband John Christensen of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Lois, husband Daryl Greenway of Davis, Calif.; and Amy of Plentywood. Her sister, Elizabeth Otten and brother, Charles Nelson, both of Kalispell, also survive.
Surviving grandchildren are Kodi, Derek, and Jeremy Goetzinger; Jeffrey, Bret, Todd, Teresa, and Alyssa Adams; Nyla, Loren, Heather, Trent, and Amber Coleman; Crystal, Ned, Anne, and Christian Mandler; Carmen Christensen Hall, Katrina Christensen Judy, Beth Christensen Brush, and Tyler Christensen; and Jonathan, Troy, and Maria Greenway. Eleven great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 10a.m. Thursday, Dec. 16 in the Sheridan County Civic Center. Arrangements are by Fulkerson Funeral Home of Plentywood.

Lois Ann Sperry
BELFRY - Lois Ann Sperry, 82, of Belfry, died Sunday afternoon, Dec. 12, 1999, in Cedar Wood Villa in Red Lodge.
Lois was born on May 30, 1917, in Forsyth, Mont. She was a daughter of David and Nora Wheeler.
On Sept 16, 1983, she married Ron Sperry. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Bill Weed of Cody, Wyo.; one daughter, Linda Weed of Salt Lake City; one sister, Jane Curtis of Safford, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.
Lois was preceded in death by her first husband, Maynard Weed in 1976.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service is planned in January and will be announced at a later date. The Olcott Funeral Chapel of Red Lodge is in charge of arrangements.

Lucille Palmer Adair
Lucille Palmer Adair, 96 of Billings, passed away Friday morning, Dec. 10, 1999, at St. John's Lutheran Home. She was born in Ohio, Ill., on June 19, 1903, the daughter of Lawrence and Olive (Daggett) Palmer.
The family moved to Montana in 1911 and homesteaded near Custer. In 1920, Lucille moved to Billings and then lived in Roberts and Joliet before returning in 1977to Billings, where she had resided since. She married Larry Palmer on August 1, 1927, in Forsyth. Larry and Lucille were involved in cattle feeding and Palmer Brothers and Spear Meat Market. Larry preceded her in death on April 26, 1982.
On March 31, 1991, Lucille married Richard Adair in Lake Tahoe, Nev. Lucille was a former member of the Billings Bench Women's Club and the Garden Club in Joliet.
Survivors include her husband, Richard of Billings; three stepdaughters, one stepson, and 13 stepgrandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, in Section 6 of Mountview cemetery. Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist has charge of arrangements.

Judith A. 'Judy' Uhr
Judith A. "Judy" Uhr, 60, of Billings, passed away Sunday morning, Dec. 12, 1999, following an extended illness. The daughter of Dexter and Lois (Cooke) Uhr, she was born in Omaha, Neb., on Aug. 22, 1939.
Judy was raised in Omaha until the age of eight when the family moved to South Minneapolis where she graduated from high school in 1949. In the early 1960s, she moved to Billings and began working for Midland Bank. She retired from U.S. Bank on July 15, 1996, after 35 years of dedicated service.
Before retiring from the bank, Judy opened her own pet care business called The Loving Care Pet Sitting Business. This was truly a labor of love for her in that it allowed her the opportunity to be around many various animals that she loved.
She was a member of the American Business Women and enjoyed reading and various handicrafts. She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew, David Uhr.
Survivors include her brother, Allen Uhr and his wife, Shirley of Bloomington, Minn.; her nephews and nieces, Howard (Lou Ann) Uhr of Coon Rapids, Minn., Bruce (Lois) Uhr of Delevan, Wis., Jeff (H.P.) Uhr of Coon Rapids, Cheryle (Ron) Berg of Bloomington, Mark (Thu) Uhr of Brooklyn Park, Minn., and Samantha Jo Uhr of Bloomington; and 14 grand-nephews and -nieces.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist. Memorials may be directed to Help For Homeless Pets, P.O. Box 1282, Billings, MT 59103.

Oakley Ingersoll
BUFFALO, Wyo. - Oakley Ingersoll, 88, died Monday, Dec. 13, at the Amie Holt Care Center.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, from the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. A private family interment will be held later in Hayden, Colo.

Mark R. Siewing
SACO - Mark R. Siewing, 72, died Monday, Dec. 13, 1999, at the Phillips County Good Samaritan Center of natural causes.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at the Saco Lutheran Church with interment in the Grandview cemetery. Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge.

Floyd H. Weyer
DICKINSON, N.D. - Floyd H. Weyer, 74, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999, at the St. Benedict's Health Center. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec 14, at Ladbury Funeral Service, and 9:30 a.m. to service time at the church on Wednesday.
A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel. A rosary will be led at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Church. Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Golva, N.D. Interment with military honors will follow at St. Mary's cemetery. Ladbury Funeral Service is in charge.

Ronald L Stockwell
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Ronald L. Stockwell, 50, died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999, in Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 16, from the VA Medical Center Chapel. Ferries Funeral Home is in charge.

Anna Peters
BRIDGER - Anna Peters 88, of Bridger, died peacefully Friday, Dec. 10, 1999.
Anna was born to her loving parents, Christian and Julia Hatzenbeler, Dec. 30, 1910, in Odense, N.D. Anna attended school in North Dakota, and in 1935 she was united in marriage to George Peters.
As Anna and George built their lives together, they raised 11 children. Anna was a wonderful mother who stayed at home with her children, enjoyed the Catholic church, and could always be relied upon for a kind word. Anna enjoyed reading, gardening and her flowers. She was most happy being with her family. Our sweet little mom and granny will be missed so much by all her family. Her quiet kindness was a rewarding trait.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband, George Peters; daughter, Irma Peters; and son, Andy Peters. She is survived by daughters, Monica (Edgar) Reiner of Shepherd, Linda Feller of Bridger, Judith (Gordon) Wolff of Lyle, Wash., Arlene Polanceo of Tigard, Ore., Rose Wiederien of Billings and Alice Hall (Pete) of Bridger; sons, George (Cathy) of Columbus, Robert Peters of Clark, Wyo., and Albert Peters of Clark, Wyo.; and sisters, Bette Baretta of Rapid City, S.D., Cecelia Kilwine and Clara Watts of Renton, Wash., and brother, Antone Hatzenbeler of Billings; 30 grandchildren; and 46 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Viewing will be at 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, 1999, at Dahl Funeral Chapel in Red Lodge. A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 13 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bridger. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at the Bridger cemetery.
