LOVELL, Wyo. - Christina Marie Winterholler, 79, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at North Big Horn Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, in St. John's Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the Lovell cemetery. Haskell Funeral Home of Lovell is in charge.

Edward B. Woodbury
SHOREVIEW, Minn.- Edward B., age 79, of Shoreview and formerly of Billings, died on Dec. 22, 1999.
He was an employee of Garrett and ANR Freight Line for 37 years and was a member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge and Eagles Clubs.
He is survived by his wife, Lorene; children, Cheryl Wittmayer (Lovell), Billings; Lon M. R. (Colleen), Billings; and Brian (Colleen), Shoreview; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brother, Roy; sisters, Shirley Eliason and Noreen Gray. At his request, no services are planned. Twin City Cremation was in charge.

James M. Young
James M. Young, 78, of Billings, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at Western Manor after a long illness. He was born April 3, 1921, in Seattle, the son of Frank Perry and Luvisa Alice Shanks Young. He moved to Wyoming with his parents at an early age and graduated from Powell High School.
Jim enlisted in the Army Air Corps and was stationed at Fort Lewis in Salt Lake City and served in the Philippines during which time he was captured by the Japanese soldiers and held in a prisoner of war camp for over three ad a half years during WWII. After his discharge when the war was over, he came to Montana and became employed as a surveyor for Northwestern Improvement Co. at Colstrip, Mont.
He married Jean C. Sloan on Aug. 8, 1946, in Billings and lived in Colstrip where they had two daughters, Cheryl and Cathy Young. Jim was a devoted husband and father. In 1959, they moved to Billings where Jim worked for the highway department as a designer detailer of secondary highways until his retirement in 1984.
Jim loved to do garden and lawn work and enjoyed his many activities in the many veterans organizations. He was awarded the Bronze Star September of 1987, during a POW/MIA recognition day in Miles City.
He was a past master of the Forsyth Masonic Lodge., a past Commander of the Forsyth York Rite, a member of the York Rite, a past member of the Bedouins Unit of Al Bedoo Shrine, and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, member of the American Legion, VFW, American Defenders of Bataan and Corregidor, American Ex-POW Prisoners, an honorary member of the USAF Air Defense Team, and the Order of Kentucky Colonels, Inc.
Survivors include his daughters, a brother-in-law, niece, nephews and his many friends.
A veterans funeral service with Masonic Rites will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10, at Cremation or Funeral Gallery, 8th St. W. and St. Johns Ave. Interment with military honors will follow at Terrace Gardens cemetery. A reception hosted by the DAV Auxiliary will be held at the American Legion Club Post No. 4 on Broadwater Avenue.

Catherine Irene Flechtner Pearson
CODY, Wyo. - Catherine Irene Flechtner Pearson, 88, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, at West Park Long Term Care Center.
Cremation has taken place. No services are planned. Ballard Funeral Home was in charge.

Jean Carroll Dunson
GLASGOW - Jean Carroll Dunson, 65, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn., after a long illness.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7, at Bell Chapel in Glasgow. Interment will be in Highland cemetery. Bell Mortuary is in charge.

Larry Metcalf
COLUMBUS - Larry Metcalf, 60, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at the Beartooth Manor. Memorial services will be at the Columbus Evangelical Church at 2 p.m. Saturday. Cremation has been held.
Larry was born Sept. 19, 1939, in Billings, Mont., the son of Glenn Lawrence and Rose Violet Powell Metcalf. He served in the U.S. Navy and lived in Columbus most of his life. He drove truck for Consolidated Freightways and for R & H Concrete in Columbus. Larry loved to ride horses and enjoyed visiting with his many friends.
He was married to Kenni Jean Spencer and she died in 1993.
Survivors include his special friend, Margie Jensen of Columbus; two nephews, thought of as sons, Larry (Nona) Gibson and Rick (Jan) Gibson, all of Laurel; two children, Lawrence W. Metcalf Jr. And Laura Metcalf, addresses unknown; one brother, Les of Billings. Larry has been preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Arrangements were by Cremation or Funeral Gallery.

Christine Marie Long Jaw Stangeland
GILLETTE, Wyo. - Christine Marie Long Jaw Stangeland, 31, of Gillette, formerly of Busby, died Jan. 1, 2000, of injuries sustained in a one car accident near Casper.
"Grass Woman" her Indian name was born Aug. 13, 1968, in Oakland, Calif., a daughter of Frank and Rita Orton Long Jaw Sr. She grew up in the Busby area and attended schools in Busby and St. Labre in Ashland, graduating from Busby High School in 1986.
Christine married Edward Grinsell and was later divorced. She married Ray Stangeland on Sept. 2, 1997, in Gillette and the family made their home in Gillette.
She enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping, hiking and logging with her husband. She loved being with her children, participating in roller skating and watching movies. She had worked for the Northern Cheyenne Ambulance Service, was a fire fighter, and currently a cook for Mona's Cafe in Gillette.
Survivors include husband, Ray of Gillette; three sons, Collen, Robert and Edward Grinsell VII of the family home; her parents, Frank and Rita Long Jaw Sr. of Busby; two brothers, Frank Long Jaw Jr. of Busby and John (Oliann) Long Jaw of Crow Agency; two sisters, Dorothy Long Jaw and Cindy (Ronnie) Moore of Busby; her grandmother, Margaret Orton of Washington; three aunts, Mabel (Roger) Killsnight, Glenda Addison and Anna Mae Long Jaw; two uncles, Mike Bryant Sr. and Albert Long Jaw Jr.; and a special niece, Jamie Long Jaw.
Wake services will be held 7 p.m. Thursday at the Frank Long Jaw Sr. residence in Busby. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday in the Busby White River Mennonite Church. Interment will follow in the Busby cemetery. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Dorothy M. Gratton
CHINOOK - Dorothy M. Gratton, 80, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, at Benefis East in Great Falls following complication from heart surgery.
Memorial vigil services will be 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, at Saint Gabriel's Catholic Church with memorial mass recited at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, in the church. Memorials may be sent to the Meadowlark Special Project at the Meadowlark Elementary School in Chinook. Edwards Funeral Home is in charge.

Maria G. Brady
LOVELL, Wyo. - Maria G. Brady, 20, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital in Billings.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, at Haskell Funeral Home. Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Lovell cemetery. Haskell Funeral Home is in charge.

John Randell Garrett
CODY, Wyo. - John Randell Garrett, 56, died on Tuesday, Jan 4, 2000, following a long battle with brain cancer.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 7, at Christ Episcopal Church. Ballard Funeral Home is in charge.

Howard Leroy Perkins
CODY, Wyo. - Howard Leroy Perkins, 83, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at West Park Long Term Care Center.
Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date. Ballard Funeral Home is in charge.

Helen M. Eckerberg
FORT BELVOIR, Va. - Helen M. Eckerberg, 74, formerly of Lewistown, Mont., died on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, following a brief illness.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan.8, at the Creel Funeral Chapel in Lewistown. Interment will be in the Central Montana Memorial Gardens. Memorials are suggested to the charity of one's choice. Creel Funeral Home is in charge.

Stanley A. Kuzara
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Stanley A. Kuzara, 93, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at Westview Health Care Center.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, at Kane Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Elks section of the Sheridan Municipal cemetery. Kane Funeral Home is in charge.

Cecil L. Wentz
BERTHOUD, Colo. - Cecil L. Wentz, 84, passed away in Colorado Jan. 4, 2000. Cecil was born March 13, 1915, in Sheridan, Wyo.
He was married to Rosalie Labay in 1938. She preceded him in death in 1977. Cecil Had been in the loving care at the home of his daughter, Cecelia and husband, James Wade, in Berthoud. He is also survived by daughter, Beverly and husband, Laurin Suiter of Cody, Wyo.; four grandchildren, Trisha Suiter-Dooling, Joseph Wade, Martin Wade, Laurin Suiter III; two great-granddaughters and Katie the cat.

Frank B. Miller
DAYTON Wyo. - Frank B. Miller, 79, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at his residence in Dayton.
Cremation has taken place and at his request, no services are planned. Champion Funeral Home is in charge.

William Hill Campbell
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - William Hill Campbell, 100, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, in the Sheridan VA Medical Center.
Viewing will be all day until 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 6, from Ferries Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday from St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Interment will be in Sheridan Municipal cemetery with Masonic rites and military honors. Memorial may benefit the Dog and Cat Shelter, 325 Fort Road, Sheridan, WY 82801. Ferries Funeral Home is in charge.

Victoria (Dolly) Ralston
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Victoria (Dolly) Ralston, 89, died on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2000, in Mesa, Ariz., after a long illness.
Services were held in Mesa on Wednesday, Jan. 5, at the Church of the Master. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, at the Sheridan Municipal cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, In-Home Health Hospice, 4600 S. Mill Ave., No. 170, Tempe, AZ 85282, or the charity of your choice. Ferries Funeral Home is in charge.

Albert Simpfenderfer
BUFFALO, Wyo. - Albert Simpfenderfer, 87, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at the Amie Holt Care Center.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, from the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Willow Grove cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Amie Holt Care Center in care of Adams Funeral Home. Adams Funeral Home is in charge.

Elizabeth Jean 'Betty' Dickey
Elizabeth Jean "Betty" Dickey of Billings, 72, passed peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, with all of her family present. She was born on May 4, 1928, in Laurel, to John and Anna Feininger, and grew up in Park City. On May 2, 1947, she married Oliver B. Dickey and started their life together in Billings.
Betty loved going to church and having coffee with her friends. She always was there for those less fortunate to provide her chicken soup, or just a comforting word.
She is survived by her loving husband, O.B., and her four children, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Vigil service will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6,. at St. Pius Catholic Church. Funeral mass is Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Pius Catholic Church. Private family interment at Holy Cross cemetery. Dahl Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Pius X church building fund at 717 18th St. W., Billings 59102.

Theresa Marble
LIVINGSTON - Theresa Marble, 83, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at the Livingston Health and Rehab Center.
Visitation hours will be 9 a.m. Thursday morning until the time of the service. Graveside committal services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at Mountain View cemetery. Franzen-Davis Funeral Home is in charge.

John F. Kelley
HYATTVILLE, Wyo. - John F. Kelley, 72, died at Washakie Medical Center early Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Worland. Burial will be at the Riverview Memorial Gardens cemetery in Worland with the American Legion and VFW in charge of the military graveside rite. Memorial donations may be made to the Washakie Medical Home Health in care of Bryant Funeral Home, PO Box 524, Worland, WY 82401. Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
