Ernest A. Jaeger
LEWISTOWN - Ernest A. Jaeger, 75, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at his home of natural causes.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church. Cremation has taken place. Cloyd Funeral Home is in charge.

Edward 'Ed' Kaufman
FROMBERG - Edward Michael Kaufman died peacefully at his home in Fromberg on Dec. 29, 1999, surrounded by his wife and many family members. Ed was born at Lefor, N.D., on Sept. 23, 1926, the son of Peter and Elizabeth Kaufman. He was raised on a farm in the Lefor area. Ed met his sweetheart, Mary Kathrein, his wife of 52 years while she was teaching school in North Dakota.
Ed served his country in the Army during World War II. Following his military service, Ed and Mary were married on Sept. 23, 1947. They farmed in North Dakota until moving to Laurel in 1956 where he held several different jobs over the years. The family moved to Fromberg in 1963 where he lived until the time of his death.
Ed was preceded in death by an infant son, his parents, Peter and Elizabeth Kaufman and a brother, Carl Kaufman. He is survived by his wife, Mary Kathrein Kaufman, devoted and loving wife of 52 years; nine children; 30 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His children and their families include Evelyn (Dan) Hall, Bob Kaufman, Carol (Harvey) Nott, Ken (Elizabeth) Kaufman, Donna (Dale) Oe, Curt (Tammy) Kaufman, Edward (Vicki) Kaufman, Jr., Doug (Shirley) Kaufman, Arnie (Deanna) Kaufman. His surviving brothers and sister are Peter (Hilda) Kaufman, Mary (John) Wegh and Elven (Kathy) Kaufman. Ed's greatest joy in life was his wife and family.
Cremation has taken place. A vigil service will be held Monday, Jan. 3, at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fromberg. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Jan. 4 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Rite of Committal in Rockvale cemetery. Smith Funeral Chapel-Laurel is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to the Clark's Fork Ambulance, Bridger, MT or to the charity of one's choice.

Grace E. Kukuchka
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Grace Elmira Kukuchka, 85, died Friday, Dec. 31, 1999, at Sheridan Manor.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Kane Funeral Home with burial in Sheridan Municipal cemetery.

Gertrude M. Lange
SAVAGE - Gertrude M. Lange, 84, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, at the Sidney Health Center-Extended Care Facility.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, at the First Lutheran Church in Savage with burial in Riverview cemetery. Fulkerson Funeral Home was in charge.

Marie Ritzdorf
LAUREL - Marie Ritzdorf, 88, of Laurel, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999. She was born in Stanton, N.D., to Fred and Anna Bolmes on Oct. 14, 1911, and married Vernon Ritzdorf June 30, 1931, at Lander, Wyo. He passed away Oct. 13, 1990.
Survivors include a sister, Ruth Rice (Willard) of Walsenburg, Colo.; a daughter Anna Schinler of Frannie, Wyo.; sons, Bob of Bridger, Mont., and Ed (Anne) of Renton, Wash.; grandchildren, Lee Brunckhorst of Big Timber, Mont., Tom Ritzdorf (Lynn) of Big Fork, Mont., Collin Brunckhorst (Jean) of Lake Orion, Mich., Gayle Snook (Kent) of Casper, Wyo., Tammy Ritzdorf of Colorado Springs, Colo., Bill Ritzdorf (Lorie) Enumclaw, Wash., Patricia Ritzdorf of Seattle, Wash., Debbie Tice and Denise Danner of Renton, Wash., and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at Smith Funeral Chapel-Laurel. Interment will be in Rockvale cemetery.

Gertrude Spomer
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Gertrude Spomer, 85, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at Westview Health Care Center.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peters Episcopal Church with burial in the Elk section of Sheridan Municipal cemetery.

Alice Waples
FORSYTH - Alice Waples, 93, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, at Rosebud County Health Care Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home with burial at a later date in the Forsyth cemetery.

Rushmore Hall
BAKER - Rushmore Hall, 84, passed away on Friday, Feb. 25, 2000 at the Holy Rosary Health Care Center in Miles City.
Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 2, in the Stevenson's Funeral Home in Baker. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 3, in the St. John's Catholic Church. Burial will be in the St. John's Catholic cemetery. Stevenson's Funeral Home of Baker is in charge of arrangements.

William "Bill" Warren
HYATTVILLE, Wyo. - William "Bill" Jesse Warren, 92, died at Canyon Hills Manor in Thermopolis, on Monday, Feb. 28, 2000.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, at Atwood Family Funeral Chapel in Basin, with Masonic Lodge conducting. Burial will follow at the Mount View cemetery in Basin. No visitation has been set. Memorial fund has been established at Security State Bank in Basin with the proceeds going to Ten Sleep Masonic Lodge No. 46.

Louis Adam Schafer
GLASGOW - Louis Adam Schafer, 77, passed away Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at Valley View Nursing Home in Glasgow of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 2, at Bell Chapel in Glasgow, with Reverend Emory Robotham officiating. Burial will be at Maple Creek, Sask., Canada. Bell Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Eugenia "Ida" Zent
Eugenia "Ida" Zent, 96, of Billings, passed away Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at St. Vincent's Hospital. The daughter of Jacob and Helen Wandler, she was born in Schefield, N.D., on July 9, 1903. The family homesteaded in Schefield, N.D. She married John Zent in 1924 and moved to Laurel, Mont., in 1926. In 1930, they moved west of Billings where they farmed until retirement.
Eugenia loved to cook and was known for her delicious Grandma Buns. She was a member of St. Thomas The Apostle Church.
Survivors include one son, Loren and wife, Jo Anne, of Billings; five daughters, Bernie Fogle and husband, George of Billings, Val Elliott of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Jackie Creech of Billings, Arlene Seeman and husband Jack of Hemet, California, and Pat Fleming and husband, Dale of Billings; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews including Sister Perpetua and Sister Mary Frances.
Rosary will be recited 7 p.m., Wednesday at Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m., Thursday, at St. Thomas The Apostle Church, with rite of committal in Holy Cross cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Edith D. Austin
BOWMAN, N.D. - Edith D. Austin, 90, of Bowman, N.D. formerly of Marmarth, N.D. died Sunday evening, Feb. 27, 2000, at the Sunset Care Corporation, in Bowman.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 2, at the Bible Church, in Marmarth. Pastor Nolan Snades will officiate with burial to the follow the service in the Riverside cemetery. A family service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, at Krebsbach Funeral Home Chapel in Bowman.

Donald L. Reese
LEWISTOWN - Donald L. Reese, 65, died Sunday morning, Feb. 27, 2000 at his home following a lengthy battle with cancer.
A Vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 2, at St. Leo's Catholic Church. Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 3, at St. Leo's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Beaver Creek cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of Central Montana or to the charity of one's choice. Creel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Georgia A. Eads
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Georgia A. Eads, 81, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, at Kane Funeral Home, with Pastor Charles Gifford officiating. Interment will follow in the Elks cemetery in Sheridan. Memorials may be made to the County Hospital for Animals "Guardian Angel Fund" or the Elks cemetery Fund, in care of Delphine Toner, First Interstate Bank, P.O. Box 2007, Sheridan, WY 82801.

Christina Link
HARDIN - Christina Link, 86, longtime Hardin resident, passed away Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, in the Big Horn County Memorial Nursing Home.
She was born Jan. 30,1914, in Burnstead, N.D., a daughter of John and Christine Eckman Schmidt. She grew up and attended schools in Burnstead. In the early 1930s, she moved to Montana and lived on the family farm near Crow Agency.
Christina married Henry Link on Nov. 30, 1941, in Hardin, and the couple made their home in Hardin. Henry passed away in 1982.
She was a homemaker, who enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, gardening and painting. She particularly enjoyed baking "goodies" for her family and friends. The joy of her life were her children and grandchildren.
Christina was preceded in death by her parents; one son; one grandson; one sister; and three brothers.
Survivors include four sons, Floyd (Judy), Garry (Barbara), Larry (Myra) and Gale (Richelle) Link of Hardin; four daughters, Carol Fergerson of Hardin, Dorothy (Stan) Lonsbery of Billings. Ginnie (John) Tate of Livingston and Faye (Casey) Munter of Lodge Grass; three brothers, Fred (Maxine) Schmidt of South Dakota, Chris (Pauline) Schmidt of Hardin and Albert (Margaret) Schmidt of Billings; four sisters, Theresa Braaton of Billings, Esther (Richard) Kraft of Washington, Ernestine Schneider and Helen (Delmer) Wittmayer of Hardin; 27 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and four great- great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday in the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Fairview cemetery. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Bruce M. Francisco
Bruce M. Francisco, 85 years old, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 27.
He was born in Hastings, Neb., on July 20,1914, to Hyram and Lydia Francisco. His family moved to Grand Island, Neb., in 1915 where be graduated from high school in 1933. He entered the U.S. Army in 1943 where he participated in operations in the European Theater until his discharge in 1946. After his discharge, he joined the General Electric sales team in 1946 and for the next 31 years traveled the state of Montana and parts of Wyoming as his territory for General Electric until his retirement in 1977.
In 1948, he met and married Audrey Gebo Kirkland, his wife and companion for 52 years. He is survived by his wife, Audrey of Billings; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffry and Carol Kirkland of Helena, Mont.; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ed Wenner of Villa Park, Calif,; three sisters, Alberta Harder of Grand Island, Neb, Grace Easton of Los Angeles, Calif., and Adelle Gilmore Zahn of Glendora, Calif. He had three grandsons and three great-grandchildren. We will all miss him.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March l, at Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist. Interment with military honors at Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park.

Mildred Nesbitt Van Gorden
GLASGOW - Mildred Nesbitt Van Gorden, 79, died on Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, at Nemont Manor in Glasgow. Interment will be in Highland cemetery. Bell Mortuary is in charge.

Walter Repart Fay
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Walter Repart Fay, 77, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at his home from complications of leukemia.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, at Kane Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Oddfellows section of Sheridan Municipal cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Dog and Cat Shelter of Sheridan, in care of Kay Roush, first Federal Bank, P.O. Box 6007, Sheridan, WY 82801.
