Hulda Gallentine
BIG TIMBER - Hulda Gallentine passed away Feb. 26, 2000, at Livingston Health and Rehabilitation Center in Livingston, Mont. Hulda was born Oct. 5, 1910, to Louis and Tom Siqveland at Olaf, Mont. Hulda attended Harlowton schools, graduating from Harlowton High School in 1936. She was employed by a lawyer and County Attorney for six years as a secretary. On July 2,1936, she married Norris Gallentine at Harlowton, Mont. Together, they had two sons and one daughter. Hulda and Norris and the family ranched at Clark, Wyo., where Hulda was also the postmaster. In 1953, the family moved to McLeod, Mont., where for thirteen years they owned and operated a thriving resort business that included a general store, post office, artesian hot water swimming pool and cabins. The general store and post office served the needs of the ranchers and residents on all three forks of the Boulder River.
In 1966, Hulda and Norris sold McLeod and moved into Big Timber. Hulda and Norris helped establish the Hospitality House Senior Center, and Hulda managed the Center until her retirement in 1984. She remained active in the Senior Center until she was taken ill in January 2000. Hulda was named Senior of the Year in 1993 by the Agency on Aging.
Hulda was greatly admired and respected by all who knew her. Her greatest joy came from her family, taking care of her plants and flowers, and rousing games of pinochle at the Senior Center.
Hulda is preceded in death by her parents; Norris, her husband; two sisters, Olga Steinhauser and Ella Lunceford, and one brother, Leonard Siqveland.
Hulda is survived by a brother Ralph Siqveland, of Grants Pass, Ore.; her sons, Terry Gallentine and family of Livingston, Glen Gallentine and family of Ennis, and her daughter, Carol Hunter and family of Thermopolis, Wyo.; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are to be held at the Big Timber Lutheran Church 11a.m. Thursday, March 2. Interment will follow at Mountain View cemetery in Columbus. Memorials can be made to the Big Timber Hospitality House Senior Center or Big Timber Lutheran Church.

CeCil Adamson
POWELL, Wyo. - CeCil Adamson, 78, formerly of Powell, died on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home in Casper, Wyo.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, March 3 at Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with interment to follow at crown Hill cemetery.

Elizabeth Mary Cook
Elizabeth Mary Cook passed away on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at Parkview Care Center in Billings. Mrs. Cook had lived for 89 years.
Elizabeth was born in Billings on Dec. 31, 1910, the daughter of Mathias and Marie (Hargus) Langenfelt. She was raised in the Billings area, later working as a housekeeper at several locations. On Dec. 27, 1950, Elizabeth married Jacob Cook. Mr. Cook passed away on June 12, 1956.
Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister. She has no surviving relatives. Seeing to her care initially was Sister Carolus Scaife, O.P., who worked with the aged at Little Flower Catholic Church and is currently residing at the Dominican Mother House in Sinsinawa, Wis., 53824, and later by Rosemary McCracken of Billings.
A Vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 29, at the Little Flower Catholic Church, 209 S. 35th Street. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1, at Little Flower with Rite of Committal to follow at Holy Cross cemetery. Visitations may be made at Smith Downtown Chapel on Tuesday until 4 p.m. and at the church prior to the Vigil. Memorials are suggested to Little Flower Catholic Church. Smith Downtown Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Richard T. (Pat) McGillvray
DEER LODGE - Richard T. (Pat) McGillvray passed away peacefully with his family present Feb. 27, 2000. He was born June 26, 1913, in Helena Mont., and was raised on the McGillvray ranch on Three Mile Creek near Avon, Mont. His great-grandfather Hugh Bratton came to Gold Creek, Mont., in October of 1862 where he mined with James and Grandville Stewart. His grandfather James D. McGillvray came to Blackfoot City in 1881 and started the McGillvray ranch on Three Mile Creek where he ranched and raised sheep.
Pat attended grade school at Three Mile Creek school and graduated from high school at Elliston, Mont., in 1932. As a young man, he sheared sheep with his father, Jim McGillvray, and worked at the Graveley and Brock Creek mines near Avon and Garrison.
On March 25, 1954, he married Hazel Vanderpool Cearley at Smith River Calif., and moved her and her two children, Eleanor and Jim Cearley back to Montana. In January 1960, Pat and Hazel purchased Pat's Place at Garrison, Mont. They raised their family at Garrison and lived in the Garrison area until 1999.
Pat enjoyed hunting and fishing with his boys, took them water and snow skiing, and engaged in may other fun outdoor activities. He was generous and kind to all and honorable in every way.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Lola Gill last December. Pat is survived by his wife of 46 years, Hazel McGillvray, daughter-and son-rnlaw, Eleanor and Jack Price of Avon Mont., sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Lois Cearley of Butte Mont., Patrick John and Debra McGillvray of Chesapeake, Va., Thomas and Margaret McGillvray of Billings, Mont., and Daniel S. and Arlene McGillvray of Oxnard, Calif., 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin 12 p.m. Wednesday at Jewell Funeral Home until 8 p.m. and funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Jewell Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Avon cemetery with a dinner to follow at the Garrison school for family and friends.

Don Billing
FORSYTH - Don Billing, 56, passed away on Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at his home. Prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 29 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, at the V.F.W. Hall in Jordon. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, in the Forsyth cemetery. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Forsyth are in charge of arrangements.

Preston Dave Bolinger
BUFFALO - Preston Bolinger, 85, passed away Friday, Feb. 25, 2000 at his residence on Rock Creek Road in Buffalo. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Father Charles Taylor officiating. Interment will be at the Willow Grove cemetery following the services. There will be a visitation at Adams Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday Feb. 29, from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Wednesday, March 1, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friends may donate, if they wish, to the St. Francis Animal Shelter in care of the Adams Funeral Home, who is in charge of arrangements.

Jeremy Allen Dubell
PARK CITY - He left us, Feb. 25, 2000, but won't be forgotten. Jeremy was born Aug. 6, 1981 in Decatur. Ill. to Joe and Denise Dubell.
Jeremy will always be in our hearts and thoughts forever. We love you and miss you very much.
He is preceded in death by his brother Joey. He leaves behind his parents; his brother Jamie; grandparents Ted and Marlene Dubell of Park City; and Floyd and Barbara Sharp of Decatur, Ill.; four uncles in Mont.; three uncles and one aunt in Ill.; two cousins in Mont.; one cousin in Ill.; and many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 29, at Park City Baptist Church. Smith Funeral Chapel in Laurel is in charge of arrangements.

John Lloyd Hansen
John Lloyd Hansen, 76, of Billings died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at his home. The son of Norman E. and Alice Van Overstraeten Hansen, John was born Feb. 5, 1924, in Hartford, Conn. He attended school in West Yellowstone, graduating from Gallatin County High School. He graduated from Montana State University, Bozeman, in 1950. He served with the Army Air Corps during WWII and in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
John married Jean Lenham, on a beautiful snowy day in West Yellowstone, Sept. 30, 1950.
John had worked for Peter Kiewit Sons, and was past president and owner of COP Construction. He was a past president of the Montana Contractors Association. He had served on the Civil Engineering External Advisory Commission for Montana State University, Bozeman, and on the Billings Logan Airport Advisory Board. He belonged to Yellowstone Kiwanis, Holy Name Society of St. Thomas, Life Loyal Sigma Chi, the Nina Clare Chowder and Marching Society and was a Bobcat booster. Our dad was a kind, gentle father. He loved to ski with his beautiful wife of nearly 50 years, his four children, all his grandchildren and many friends. John tramped all over Montana hunting, fishing and watching West High and Montana State University sports. Dad traveled the world sight-seeing with mom and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Bunny; children, John L. Hansen, Jr. (Hans) and his wife, Maribeth, of Billings, Joe L. Hansen and his wife, Patty Murphy Hansen, of Bozeman, Norman Peter Hansen, of Billings and Joan Hansen Jacobsen and her husband, John W., of Billings; his sister, Mary Hansen Sandner of San Francisco; a sister-in-law, Diana Hansen Kelly, of Bozeman; six grandchildren, Patrick, Katy, Annie, Charlie, Maggie and Luke; two AFS students, Erwin M. Schiele of Kassel, Germany, and Anette Koinberg Behm of Stockholm, Sweden, and many other friends who passed though their home as "temporary" children.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Norman M. Hansen, brother-in-law, Dr. Donald Sandner and an infant sister, Baby Alice.
We will miss "John's", "Dad's", or "Poppa's" friendship and bear hugs.
Two Boards upon cold powdered snow YO HO!
Visitation will be from 9 a.m., Saturday until noon, Monday, at Michelotti, Sawyers and Nordquist with cremation to follow. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m., Monday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Memorial Mass in John's honor will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Private interment with military honors is planned at Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Yellowstone Historic Center, P.O. Box 1299, West Yellowstone, MT 59758 or the WWII Memorial, P.O. Box 96766, Washington, DC, 20090-6766.

Elizabeth "Betty" Lamphere
GREAT FALLS - Elizabeth Ann "Betty", age 78, died on Sunday, Feb. 27, at Benefis East Hospital from a ruptured aorta.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, at the O'Connor Memorial Chapel with Rev. Patrick Zabrocki officiating. Interment of the cremated remains will be at a later date.
Betty was born May 24, 1922, in Conrad, to John and Stella (Pulaski) Reinhardt. She attended school in the Conrad area. She was a Navy Veteran of WW II, serving as a Hospital Apprentice First Class. She married Lloyd Lamphere in Great Falls on Sept. 18, 1948. Together they had three children.
Betty was a past American Legion Auxiliary President and a member of the Columbus Hospital Auxiliary. Her main enjoyment was her children and grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her children, Dan Lamphere of Helena, Linda Stathos of Glasgow, Grant Lamphere of N. Lake Tahoe, Calif. and Robert Yost of Greeley, Colo.; and a brother, Edward Reinhardt of Great Falls. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Preceding Betty is her husband, Lloyd in 1999 and brothers John and Mike Reinhardt.
The O'Connor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Justin James LaRocque
ST. REGIS - Justin James LaRocque, 16, died on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, at the Creel Funeral Home in Lewistown. Burial will be at Mount Calvary cemetery in Lewistown. Creel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

CODY, Wyo. - C. Helen McNeely, 70, passed away Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, at Ballard Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Riverside cemetery. Ballard Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Oliver P. "Bill" Norton
BUFFALO, Wyo. - A celebration of Bill's life will be held in the Carriage House at The Jim Gatchell Museum in Buffalo at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 29. Bill died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at his home after a short battle with leukemia. In lieu of flowers, friends may donate to the Wagon Fund at The Jim Gatchell Museum, 100 Fort St., Buffalo, WY 82834. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Susie Kathleen Busch Reighard
DELTA, Colo. - Susie Kathleen Busch Reighard passed away on Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, in Grand Junction, Colo., at the age of 57.
Susie was born in Billings, the daughter of Albert and Edith Busch on Nov. 14, 1942. She grew up in the Roundup/Billings area and on March 25, 1963 married Kenneth Reighard in Billings. In 1977 she moved with her family to the Rangley, Colo. area and retired to Delta, Colo. with her husband in 1992.
Susie is survived by her husband, Kenneth of Delta; a daughter, Shelly Young of Parker, Colo.; a son, Brion Reighard of Spokane; grandchildren, Kurtis and Carly Young of Parker, Colo.; her mother, Edit Rowland of Worden; five sisters, Mae, Bessie, Arlene, Janet, and Judy; and 1 brother, Herman. She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 2, at the Smith West Chapel, 304 34th Street West. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials are suggested to the Lupus Foundation.
Smith West Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.

Baptiste John Bertolino, Jr.
ROBERTS - Baptiste John Bertolino, Jr. "Batt", died peacefully in his home, one mile south of Roberts, on Feb. 25, 2000.
Batt was born May 27, 1909, in Red Lodge to Battista and Maria (Gatto) Bertolino. He grew up on the family ranch near Cooney Reservoir. In 1933, he helped his father build Batt's New Deal Bar in Roberts where they worked together. He married Louise Bosso in 1934. Together they had two children.
In 1944, Batt joined the Navy and served aboard the USS Kwajilein, a baby flattop, as an anti-aircraft gunner. When he was discharged, he returned to Roberts to work with his father.
In 1953, Batt sold the bar and began ranching south of Roberts. He loved to irrigate. He will be remembered riding his Honda with boots and shovel to set the water for his hayfields and pasture.
Batt was a good citizen. He was an important part of the Roberts community. He attended school activities, the VFW, was a charter member of the Red Lodge Elks and president of the Italian Lodge in Red Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He will be remembered for his stories at family gatherings. "That's the way it was and we liked it that way." He was a philosopher whose wise words were a guide to all who listened. Family was most important to Granddad. He let that be known, not only by his words, but by his actions. He was the head of his family. The lessons and ethics learned from him cannot be found in a classroom or book.
Batt is survived by his daughter, Barbara Crawford of Billings; his son, Richard Bertolino (Danna) of Roberts; his grandchildren, Theresa (Dan), Treena (Todd), Dena, Daneen (Rob), Joel, Garry, Craig (Susan), Brian (Kathleen) and Kristine (Lee) and his 12 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Joe, Pete and Keeno; his son-in-law, Chris Crawford and his wife of 64 years, Louise.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Red Lodge at 10 a.m. Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Dahl Funeral Chapel, Red Lodge. Interment will be at the Roberts cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the charity of your choice.

Don Billing
FORSYTH - Don Billing, age 56, of Forsyth, passed away on Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at his home.
Prayer services will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the VFW Hall in Jordan. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in the Forsyth cemetery.

Dale Arthur Bonney
BASIN, Wyo. - Dale Arthur Bonney, age 88, passed away Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital in Thermopolis.
Graveside services will be held at Mount View cemetery on Tuesday, Feb. 29, at 10 a.m.

Henry Buxbaum
GLENDIVE - Henry Buxbaum, 80, of Glendive, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at the Eastern Montana Veteran's Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 29, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home with Pastor Howard Schreibeis officiating. Interment with military honors will be in Dawson Mem-orial cemetery. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Henry was born Dec. 27, 1919, in Minatare, Neb., the son of Adam and Kathryn (Haas) Buxbaum Sr., and he received his education in Nebraska. Henry served in the United States Army during World War II and was honorably discharged on Dec. 10, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wis.
Henry returned to Glendive following his discharge where he helped out on the farms of his brothers, sisters and nephews for many years. Henry loved painting, making things and tinkering. Henry had been a resident of the Eastern Montana Veteran's Home since Jan. 20, 1997.
Henry was preceded in death by three brothers, Jake Buxbaum, John Buxbaum and Adam Buxbaum; four sisters, Lena Buxbaum at age 12, Olinda Martin, Pauline Lundgren and Lydia Heimbuch. He is survived by one sister, Marie Schoeneman of Nyssa, Ore., and numerous nephews and nieces.
