FORT BELKNAP - Anne Marie LaMere, 2 months, died in San Antonio, Texas, on Feb. 18, 2000, of natural causes.
Anne was born Dec. 8, 1999 at San Antonio, Texas the daughter of Curtis LaMere and Marsha Cochran.
Survivors include her parents, Curtis LaMere and Marsha Cochran of Fort Belknap, brother Curtis Cochran Jr. of Hays; grandparents, Dawn Cochran of Fort Belknap, David Healy of Great Falls, Tony and Marilyn LaFountaine of Bellingham, Wash.; great grandparents Robert and Ola Cochran of Hays. She was preceded in death by grandfather, Lawrence "Peanut" Cochran Sr. and brother Levi LaMere.
Wake of Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23 at the St. Paul's Mission Recreational Center at Hays. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, at St. Paul's Mission with burial in the Cochran Family cemetery and the Robert Cochran Residents. Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of arrangements.

Marion Graham
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Marion Lee Graham, 77, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, at First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Doug Melius officiating. Interment will be in Sheridan Elks cemetery. Ferries Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to Big Horn High School Athletics, in care of Delphine Toner, First Interstate Bank, P.O. Box 2007, Sheridan, WY 82801.

Elsie Leown (Limbird) Wilber
BUFFALO - Elsie Leown (Limbird) Wilber, 80, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at the Central Montana Medical Center of an apparent heart attack.
Funeral services will be held at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Lewistown at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26. Interment will be at Lewistown City cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Buffalo Community Church or to the David Bradley Mission Fund and may be left at the funeral home. Creel Funeral Home is in charge.

Arthur E. (Art) Hyem
RED LODGE - Arthur E. (Art) Hyem, 91, of Red Lodge, died Sunday morning, Feb. 20, 2000, in Cedar Wood Villa.
Born on May 18, 1908, on Red Lodge Creek, he was the next to the youngest son of James and Jennie Hyem, area pioneers who homesteaded on Red Lodge Creek in 1895.
Arthur attended the Jackson School through the eighth grade. He ranched on Red Lodge Creek for many years, and later moved to Red Lodge, working road maintenance in Yellowstone National Park and on the Beartooth Highway.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers, Louie, Nels, Tilmar, Edwin, James, Carl and John Hyem; one sister, Minnie Tjeltveit; and his close friend and companion, Betty Bicknell.
Survivors include one niece, Berna Jean Niemi (Artie) of Roy; six nephews, Ed Hyem (Linda) of Roy, Ramon Hyem (Eileen) of Red Lodge, Roger Hyem (Shirley) of Florence, Jerry Hyem (Carolyn) of Memphis, Tenn., Glenn Tjeltvelt of Reno, Nev., and Alvin Tjeltveit (Margaret) of Red Lodge; and a sister-in-law, Cora Hyem of Red Lodge Creek.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, in the Olcott Funeral Chapel. Cremation has taken place, and interment will be in the Red Lodge cemetery.

Albert Hackman
SCOBEY - Albert Hackman, 89, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at the Daniels Memorial Hospital in Scobey.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the Scobey Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Flaxville cemetery. Waller Funeral Home of Scobey is in charge of arrangements.

Norma Jean Mirich
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Norma Jean Mirich, 78, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, in Sheridan Manor.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24, from Ferries Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sheridan Municipal cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation, in care of Delphine Toner, First Interstate Bank, Box 2007, Sheridan, WY 82801.

John Simon
John Esmond (Ez) Simon of Billings and formerly of Worland, Wyo. was born June 9, 1908 in Westope, North Dakota.
He was in business for 32 years in Worland, Wyo. owning Simons Thriftway. He married Mary Baker June 22, 1933. John was on the board of directors for the Independent Wholesale Grocers Inc. from 1962 to 1971. In 1973 he was president of Chief Washakie Shrine Club and was in Kaliff Temple at Sheridan, Wyo. and the Commandery at Cody, Wyo.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years. Grandchildren: Shannon and Shawn Simon. Sister, Dorothy Olmsted; brothers: Gerald, Keith & Merle Simon plus many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and John Simon; his son Elden Simon and sister Marian Purcell.
Cremation has taken place at Smith Crematory. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2000 at Smith Downtown Chapel. Interment will be held later at Rockvale cemetery. Memorials may be made to Shrine Hospital for Crippled Children.

Henry Cantrell
Henry Cantrell went to be with the Lord, Feb. 17, 2000.
He was born March 8, 1916, to Tom and Essie Cantrell on the family homestead at Emory, Mont.
He enlisted in the Navy March 1941 and was honorably discharged in February 1947.
While serving in the military, he married Lillian Monroe in March 1942. Together, they raised three children. They resided in Billings, Mont.
Henry worked in industrial construction as a boilermaker/welder throughout Montana, retiring in 1978.
He was an active member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
He joined Masons Lodge No. 113 in 1963.
Henry enjoyed helping his son on his ranch, hunting, fishing, pitching horseshoes and visiting his many friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian (Oct 1996), his parents and eleven brothers and sisters.
Henry is survived by his daughters, Helen Blake and Mary Ann (David) Bay, both of Attleboro, Mass.; son, Henry D. (Marie) Cantrell of Worden, Mont.; sisters, Florence (Ben) Allen of Billings, Mont., Virginia Tate of Santa Barbara, Calif.; brothers, William Cantrell of Kalispell, Mont., Ace (Maxine) Cantrell of Sand Coulee, Mont., Cecil Cantrell of Edgar, Mont.; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
No services are planned.

William H. Zier
MALTA - William H. Zier, 68 years, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at the Deaconess Hospital in Billings following a heart attack. Memorial serviceswere 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Adams Memorial Chapel in Malta.Cremation has taken place. Adams Funeral Home of Malta was in charge ofarrangements.Bill was born Sept. 10, 1931, at Bridger, Mont., the son of Henry and Anna(Simonas) Zier. He was raised and educated in Fromberg, Mont., and graduated from high school there. He attended college at Bozeman, then enlisted in the Air Force during the Korean Crisis. He worked as a Aircraft Mechanic. After his discharge, he worked for Earl Spencer at Fromberg. He married Nancy M. Richardson on May 27, 1961, at Fromberg. In 1964, he worked for Big Horn Calcium, and moved to Frannie, Wyo. In 1974, he went to work for American Colloid. He was elected mayor of Frannie and was serving his term when he was transferred to Malta in 1979. In 1984, Ted Vogel and Bill started the B & T Electrical, and Bill kept it going after Ted died in 1992. Survivors include his wife, Nancy of Malta; daughters and son in-laws,Billie and Mark Haugen of Chinook, Andre' and Garth Sandsness of Lancaster, Calif.; sons and daughter in-law, James and Erika Zier, Jeff Zier of Billings; grandchildren, William and Shaylan Haugen, Berg Sandsness; sisters, Mary Zier of Missoula, Betty Stief of Cheyenne, Wyo.; brothers, Duane Zier ofStockton, Calif., Robert Zier of Missoula, John Zier of Billings. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Chad Haugen.

Ann M. Kline
LAUREL - Ann M. Kline, 89, of Laurel, passed away Sunday afternoon Feb. 20, 2000, at Valley Health Care Center, Billings, where she had resided since April of 1999. Ann was born July 21,1910, at Stockett, Mont., a daughter of Anna and John Kalanick.
She was raised in the Big Sandy area of Montana, with two sisters and five brothers. Ann attended Eastern Montana College (MSU-B) in Billings and was an elementary school teacher before her marriage to Allen Kline in 1941. She had resided in Laurel for 55 years and was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church for 55 years, which she attended daily, while her health permitted.
Ann is survived by her husband, Allen of Powell, Wyo.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and David Waddell of Park City, Mont., and Judy and Chuck Goldy of Billings. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, her brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Ethel Kalanick of Big Sandy, Mont., and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Ann's family would like to thank her friends at St. Anthony Catholic Church who helped her attend daily Mass, Big Sky Hospice, and the staff of Valley Care Center for the excellent care, love, and support given to her and her family.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, at Smith Funeral Chapel-Laurel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Laurel. Interment will be in St. Anthony cemetery.

Gilbert G. Miller
Gilbert G. Miller, 82, of Billings, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, at St. Vincent's Hospital.
Graveside services with military rites will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24, at sunset Memorial Gardens. Smith Downtown Chapel is in charge.

Angela Sandau Chitolie
MINOT, N.D. - Funeral services for Angie Sandau Chitolie, age 22, of Minot, N.D., formerly of Sidney, will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the Shepherd of the Valley Church in Sidney, Mont., with Pastor David Huskamp officiating. Burial will be in the Newton cemetery under the direction of the Fulkerson Funeral home of Sidney.
Angela Marie Sandau was born Aug. 25, 1977, in Poplar, Mont., to parents Rick and Denise (Kohl) Sandau. In 1980, the family moved to Fairview, Mont., where they lived for a time before moving to Sidney, Mont., where Angie grew up and attended schools. She graduated with the "Class of 1995" from Sidney High School. She later attended Minot State University where she met her husband. On Sept. 25, 1997, she was united in marriage to Akash Chitolie in Minot, N.D. They made their home in Minot, where Angie worked with Choice Hotels. On Jan. 5, 1999, the couple was blessed with the birth of their son, Kobe Daniel.
Angie was a devoted wife and mother who loved all her family and friends. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and was always on the lookout for a more difficult one. She enjoyed family gatherings and playing cards. Angie loved to travel but especially enjoyed time at the lake with her family. She liked cats.
Angie died Friday morning, Feb. 18, 2000, at the Trinity Health Center in Minot, N.D.
Survivors include her husband, Akash and son, Kobe of Minot, N.D.; her parents, Rick and Denise Sandau of Sidney, Mont.; her paternal grandparents, Harvey and Marion Sandau of Wolf Point, Mont.; a maternal grandfather, A. E. John Kohl of Missoula, Mont.; two sisters, Erica (Steve) Smith of Moorhead, Minn., and Nicole of Sidney, Mont.; four nieces and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Mary Ellen Kohl.

Joan Carol Track Clampitt
OSWEGO - Joan Carol Track Clampitt, 65, died Feb. 19, 2000, at Trinity Hospital in Wolf Point of natural causes.
Services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24, at Bell Chapel in Glasgow. Interment will be in Kings Memorial cemetery in Wolf Point. Bell Mortuary in Glasgow is in charge.

Ruth Thorson
Ruth Thorson died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, after an intense bout with respiratory illness.
Ruth was born on July 22, 1925, in Williston, N.D., the fourth child of Rev. Olaf R. Svore and Hedvig C. Svore. She attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., and graduated in 1947 with a bachelor's degree in home economics. At St. Olaf, she met Robert (Bob) Thorson, the man who would be her husband of 50 years. Robert preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1998.
Ruth began her teaching career in Joliet, Mont., moving to Billings Senior High in 1955 . She moved from the classroom to the administration offices in 1959, taking the position of Dean of Girls at Lincoln Junior High. She enjoyed her professional life and encouraged young women to follow their aspirations. Ruth was active in Zonta International, continuing to attend luncheons until the last few months of her life.
Ruth is survived by her sons, Steven C. Thorson of Minneapolis and R. Gary Thorson of Olympia, Wash., as well as by her four grandchildren and her brother, Col. F. L. Svore (USAF Ret.) of Gainesville, Florida.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, at the King of Glory Lutheran Church, 4125 Grand Avenue. Interment will follow at Terrace Gardens cemetery. Visitation will start 1 p.m. Tuesday at Smith's West Chapel, 304 - 34th St. West.
Memorials may be made to King of Glory Lutheran Church or Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 2802, Great Falls, MT 59403.

Georgia Windecker
HAVRE - Georgia Windecker, 96, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at a Havre hospital of natural causes. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, at the Van Orsdel United Methodist Church. Memorials in Georgia's honor may be made to the P.E.O. Sisterhood Chapter AZ Scholarship Fund, c/o Margie Deppmeier, 1649 Rich St., Havre, MT 59501 or to the Van Orsdel United Methodist Church.
Georgia was born Aug. 18, 1903, in Rushville, Ill., to Charles and Della (Cambell) Thompson. She attended schools in Rushville and graduated from high school. She attended Knox College in Illinois for a few years. Then she followed her older sister, Christine Bliss Seasmans, out west to Montana. Her sister was teaching on the Huntley Irrigation Project in Worden, Mont. Georgia continued her education at Eastern Montana Normal School in Billings (which is now Eastern Montana College), and she obtained her teaching certificate there. She later taught in Valentine, Mont., which was also part of the Huntley Project. She met Claude Windecker in Worden Mont., and they married June 13, 1936, in Worden. The couple made their home in Fairfield, Mont. They had two sons, Neill and Clyde. The family moved to Havre in 1957 where Claude worked as the superintendent of the Experiment Station at Fort Assinaboine. They have lived in Havre ever since.
Georgia enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, visiting with friends and her family. She was a charter member of the P.E.O. Chapter AZ in Havre and was instrumental in establishing the P.E.O. Scholarship for Northern Montana College for Chapter AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters.
Surviving family: her husband, Claude Windecker of Havre, Mont.; two sons, Neill (Karen) Windecker of Cascade, Mont.; and Clyde (Sonja) Windecker of Absarokee, Mont.; two grandchildren: Mike Windecker of Clyde Park, Mont., and Jodi Arthur of Boise, Idaho; and one great-granddaughter, Kylie Windecker of Clyde Park, Mont.; and four nephews.
