Helen and Don were a loving and caring couple. When in California, they helped with the rearing of the daughter of one of Don's co-workers who was killed in a car accident. When Stillwater County Extension Agent Joe Kolar died of Bulbar Polio, they became strong supporters of his family and remained as family the rest of their lives.
