BUTTE - Montana Kathryn (Shadoan) Dean, 84, long-time Livingston resident, died early Friday morning, March 24, 2000, at St. James Hospital in Butte.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 29, at Franzen-Davis Funeral Home, 118 N. 3rd Street in Livingston. Graveside committal and burial will follow in Mountain View cemetery.

Norman Fontaine
BUFFALO, Wyo. - Norman Fontaine, 75, of Buffalo, Wyo., passed away Saturday morning at the Deaconess Medical Center. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., Monday, March 27, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Buffalo. Visitation will be held Monday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and following the Rosary at Adams Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 28, at the St. John's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Willow Grove cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Buffalo Senior Center or St. John's Catholic Church in care of the Adams Funeral Home.

Ellis 'Baby-O' Kennedy
WOLF POINT - Ellis "Baby-O" Kennedy, 21, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, in Rawlins, Wyo.
Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m., Monday, March 27, at the Clayton Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 28, at the Clayton memorial Chapel. Interment will be in the Riverside Community in Brockton.

Dard Laughlin
HAGERMAN, Idaho - Dard Laughlin, 80, a resident of Hagerman, Idaho, and formerly of Billings and Butte, Mont., died Friday, March 24, 2000, at the Veterans Nursing Home in Boise, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 27, at the Reorganized LDS Church in Hagerman. Burial will follow at the Hagerman cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Demaray Funeral Service, 737 Main St., Gooding, Idaho, 83330, (208) 934-4406.

Elizabeth May 'Liz' Lehman
LAUREL - Elizabeth May "Liz" Lehman, 83, of Laurel, formerly of Billings, passed away Friday, March 24, 2000, at Evergreen Laurel Health and Rehabilita-tion Center from cancer.
She was born at Los Angeles, on Feb. 3, 1917, a daughter of Joseph and Lucy Keeley. She was married to Alfred Herauf in 1940 in Los Angeles and they had one son, Don Herauf. She was married to Walter Lehman in 1966 in Billings.
Liz was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Billings and was currently a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Laurel. She worked in advertising sales.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Survivors include her husband, Walter of Laurel; one son, Don Herauf of San Ramon, Calif.; stepchildren, Rick Lehman of Billings, Gloria (Tim) Robertus of Laurel, Tim (Teresa) Lehman of Columbus, Colleen (David) Chung of Topanga, Calif.; a nephew, Jeff (Robin) Martin of Orono, Minn.; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 28, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Laurel. Memorials may be sent to St. John's Lutheran Church. Smith Funeral Chapel-Laurel was in charge of cremation.

Eunice M. McGeorge
JOLIET - Eunice M. McGeorge, 86, of Joliet, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2000, at Billings Deaconess Med-ical Center.
Eunice was born at Bridger on Jan. 22, 1914, a daughter of Martin and Isabell Isaacs Hagan. She was married to Ernest McGeo-rge on Aug. 18, 1934, at Red Lodge, Mont. They lived in Kellogg, Idaho, for two years before moving to Silesia, in 1941 where they farmed for 32 years. Upon their retirement in 1913, they built a home in Joliet where they continued to reside.
Ernest preceded her in death on April 4, 1995. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Eunice liked gardening and being outdoors. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Joliet Wesleyan Church, Sunshine Club and Joliet Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her daughter and husband, Janice and Ivan Kays of Missoula; a brother, Milton Hagan of Dillon; a sister, Iola Beardon in Iowa; a sister-in-law, Jean Mathews of Joliet; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 1, at the Joliet Wesleyan Church. Memorials are suggested to Joliet Wesleyan Church. Smith Funeral Chapel-Laurel was in charge of cremation.

Henry W. Reimers
Henry W. Reimers, 90, of Billings, passed away Thursday evening, March 23, 2000, at Valley Health Care Center. He was born Feb. 18, 1910, on the family farm near Dagmar, Mont., the son of John W. and Meta (Holm) Reimers.
He received his elementary education at a country school and attended high school in San Francisco where the family spent winters. He attended Billings Polytechnic, Billings Business College, and studied accounting at Fargo, N.D.
On June 28, 1944, Henry was united in marriage with Iris Daniels, the daughter of Vern and Hazel Daniels. He and Iris had been residents of Billings since 1936. Henry operated an accounting firm for many years and also worked with the ICC on rights for transporting automobiles from Detroit to Montana and other Western states. He pioneered automobile transportation by highway carriers. Henry sold his interest in this business in 1957 and retired from accounting in 1990.
His hobbies included collecting and restoring antique cars. He and Iris were long-time members of the Goggles and Dusters Antique Car Club and the Elks Lodge for 36 years. He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Iris; his sister, Ruth Hancock and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., Sunday at Michelotti, Sawyers and Nordquist. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 28 at Michelotti, Sawyers and Nordquist, 1001 Alderson Ave., with Rev. John Akre officiating. Interment will follow at Mountview cemetery.

Albert Schmidt
Albert Schmidt, 69, of Billings, passed away early Friday morning, March 24, 2000, at Billings Deaconess Hospital. He was born April 26, 1930, in Napoleon, N.D., the son of John and Christine (Eckman) Schmidt.
Al married Margaret Kraft on Nov. 21, 1950, in Hardin, later moving his family to Billings. He was an excellent mechanic who loved his work. He retired from Selover Buick in 1995. Al enjoyed his yard work and garden, but most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren, Kristin and Justin. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, two sisters, three brothers, and his daughter-in-law, Sheila Schmidt.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; his son, Dennis (Rhonda) Schmidt; his daughter, Susan (Douglas) Rude; his beloved grandchildren, Justin Schmidt and Kristin Rude; his two brothers, Fred (Maxine) Schmidt of S.D. and Chris (Pauline) Schmidt of Hardin; four sisters, Theresa Braaton of Billings, Ernestine Schneider and Helen (Delmer) Wittmayer of Hardin and Esther (Richard) Kraft of Sumner, Wash.; several sisters-in-law and many, many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 28th, at Pilgrim Congregational Church with interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be directed to Pilgrim Congregational Church, 409 S. 36th, Blgs, MT 59101, or the charity of one's choice. Michelotti, Sawyers and Nordquist has charge of arrangements.

Bertha Siegle
GLENDIVE - Bertha Siegle, 86, of Glendive, died Friday, March 26, 2000, at Glendive Medical Center.
A memory service will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 28, at the Chapel of Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home in Glendive. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 29, at Zion Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Dawson Memorial cemetery.

'Stu' Burns
SHERIDAN, Mont. - Timothy Stuart Burns was born in Red Lodge on Nov. 12, 1928, to Tim and Rosalia Burns. He attended school in Red Lodge, was active in the Boy Scouts, and worked in a grocery store during his high schools years and for four years following graduation. He spent much of his free time hiking and fishing in the nearby mountains.
He entered the Army in 1950, serving with the 45th Infantry Division in west central Korea. He was discharged with the rank of sergeant first class in 1952.
He enrolled in Eastern Montana College in January 1953, and was an honor roll student during his freshman and sophomore years. His junior and senior years were spent at the university at Missoula, attaining a BS degree in wildlife technology in December 1956.
He was employed by the Bureau of Indian Affairs at Spokane, Wash., married Judith Hynes and accepted an appointment with the Bitterroot National Forest in Darby, all in the year 1957.
In 1959, he was the assistant ranger at Sula and in 1965, he was the district ranger at Camp Crook, S.D., on the Custer National Forest. He and his family then moved to Hamilton in 1971, where he was a wildlife biologist for the Bitterroot National Forest. In Hamilton, he served as the president of Ravalli County Sportsmen's Association in 1972 and 1973. He also served as the second vice president of the Montana Wildlife Federation from 1973 to 1974.
In 1975, they moved to Sheridan, where he was an assistant ranger for the Beaverhead National Forest until he retired in 1988 after 34 years of federal service, 31 of them for the Forest Service. While living in Sheridan, he was very active in birding and the rehabilitation of hawks, eagles, owls and various small birds. He also ran a breeding bird survey for the Fish and Wildlife Service from 1978 to 1996 and did the annual winter bald eagle survey for the Fish and Wildlife Service until 1999.
After his retirement, he worked as a consultant in forestry and lands. He was a supervisor for the Conservation Service in Sheridan from 1990 until his death. He was the engineering and managing consultant for RVCD for the $100, 000 Upper Ruby Stock Water Development Grant and a managing consultant on the Stone Creek Rehabilitation Grant.
He loved the mountains and rivers and their wildlife. He also enjoyed oil painting.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Burns of Sheridan; a son and daughter-in-law, Malcolm and Diana Burns of Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and John Miller of Alder, Mont.; three grandchildren, Gregory Miller of Dillon, Andrea and Denise Miller, both of Alder, and a brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Gladys Burns of Billings.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marion Massick.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 27, at 1 p.m. in the K&L Mortuary Chapel with Father Ed Stupca officiating. Cremation will follow services and a private interment will be held at a later date at the Sheridan cemetery.

Emma Dombrosky
SIDNEY - Emma Dombrosky, 84, died Friday, March 24, 2000, at the Sidney Health Center.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 27, at the Pella Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the Sidney cemetery. Fulkerson Funeral Home is in charge.

Dard D. Laughlin
HAGERMAN, Idaho - Dard D. Laughlin, 80, formerly of Billings, died Friday, March 24, 2000, at the VA Medical Center in Boise.
Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced by Demaray's Gooding Chapel of Gooding.

Agnes Mentock
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Agnes Mentock died Thursday, March 23, 2000, in Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday from St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Interment will be in Sheridan Municipal cemetery. Ferries Funeral Home is in charge.

June Elizabeth Nessan
MOORE - June Elizabeth Nessan, 88, died Thursday, March 23, 2000, at the Central Montana Skilled Nursing Center in Lewistown.
A vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church on Sunday, March 26. Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 27, at St. Leo's Catholic Church. Interment will be at Mount Calvary cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Central Montana Skilled Nursing Center or Moore Community Endowment Fund. Creel Funeral home is in charge.

Thelma O. Puett
CODY, Wyo. - Thelma O. Puett, 86, died Thursday, March 23, 2000, at West Park Hospital.
Cremation has taken place. No services are planned.

Silver Roth
BAKER - Silver Roth, 80, died on Thursday, March 23, 2000, at the Holy Rosary Health Care Center in Miles City following a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in the American Lutheran Church in Baker. Interment will be in Bonnievale cemetery. Stevenson's Funeral Home of Baker is in charge.

Dorothy Shartzer
Dorothy Shartzer went to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening, March 22, 2000. She was born on April 11, 1925, in Silesia to Homer and Gladys Baker.
On June 23, 1945, she married Rex Shart-zer, They had three daughters and were married 33 years before Rex preceded her in death. Dorothy, known to many as Dotty, work-ed many years as a waitress until retiring in 1974. She was very active at Grace Baptist Church and was known by many as mom and grandma. Dorothy had a great love for the Lord. In addition to her husband Rex, she was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Survivors include her daughters, Mrs. Ramona Eldridge (Harvey), Mrs. Marcia Kelly (Randy) and Ms. Kay Shartzer; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren with one more on the way, and two sisters. Special thanks to Mary Cummins, a long time friend. Mom, you will be greatly missed.
Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 25 at Mountview cemetery, Section 7. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at Grace Baptist Church, 3616 Broadwater Ave. Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist has charge of arrangements.
