BUFFALO, Wyo. – Clyde E. Carne, 73, died Saturday, May 27, 2000, at the Veteran’s Home of Wyoming.
Visitation will be from 1p.m. until 10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, from the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, in the Oregon Trail cemetery in Casper.

Paul Henry Bassett
LOVELL, Wyo. – Paul Henry Bassett, 93, died Thursday, June 1, 2000, at New Horizons Care Center.
Visitations will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, at Haskell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 5, in the Lovell L.D.S. Stake Center. Interment will be in the Lovell cemetery.

Jeanette P. Burns
Jeanette P. Burns, 82, of Hardin, passed away June 1st after a short illness at the BUCo. Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Nov. 18, 1917, in Crow Agency the daughter of John Michael and Christina Childs Burns, who passed away three days after Jeanette was born. She spent her childhood years in the Lodge Grass, Crow Agency and Philadelphia area..
Jeanette graduated high school from the Ursaline Academy in Great Falls and Baines Business College in Denver, Colo.
She married in 1937 and later divorced in 1942.
She worked for several years for the Big Horn County Welfare Dept. and later, being an enrolled tribal member, went to work for and retired from the BIA in Crow Agency as a realty officer.
She was a faithful member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, charter member of the Catholic Daughters of America and St. Catherine’s Circle. She bowled for many years and loved to travel, the highlight of her travels were touring the Vatican in Rome and visiting Lourdes in France.
Jeanette was a champion of the underdog and fed and adopted stray cats, dogs and birds.
She was a staunch supporter and loyal fan of the Hardin Bulldog basketball team missing very few games. She never missed a baseball game or wrestling match that her only grandson, Greg, participated in, or a recital or play that her great-grandchildren took part in. Her world and life revolved around her children, grand children and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, John and stepmother, Willahemina, sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Lawson Lee and sister, Helen Dyckman.
Survivors include four daughters, Helen Wiseman and Roberta Rose of Hardin, Joan (Bob) Miller and Loretta Burns of Billings; one brother, John Burns of Riverside, Calif.; brother-in-law, Robert Dyckman of San Bernadino; seven grandchildren. Robyn. Kelly (John) Furgason, Greg, Allison (Robert) Pederson, Kristi (Tracy) Robertson, Ellen (Alan) Kautzman and Colleen (Kelly) Crowe; 14 great grandchildren, Jennifer, Jamie, Brooke, Callie, Marissa, Kinzie, Sara, Ashley. Andre, Nick, Zach, Tanner, Adrienne and Rachel; numerous nieces and nephews and Lester her cat.
Rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Monday in the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday in the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Fairview cemetery. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Beatrice Angelina Dillon
WOLF POINT – Beatrice Angelina Dillon, 87, died June 1, 2000, at the Northeastern Montana Health Service.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, at Clayton Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 5, at the Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will be in Greenwood cemetery.

Marion Clarice Fly
SARPY – Marion Clarice Fly, 77 of the Sarpy area, passed away Wednesday morning, May 31, 2000, at her home of natural causes. She was born Aug. 30, 1922, in Eureka, Utah, the daughter of Oliver and Margaret (Cronin) Lucas. She graduated from Tinic High School and served during World War II as a meteorologist in the Army Air Corps.
On April 10, 1948, Marion married Roy B. Fly in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hardin, Mont. She ranched with her husband in the Sarpy area where they retired, but remained active up until the time of her death. Marion loved life and lived it to the fullest. She enjoyed her flowers, embroidery, country dances, fiddler jams, pot lucks, and spending time with friends, neighbors, and family. She was preceded in death by a son, Dan Fly, four brothers, one sister, one grandson, Rex Thomas Fly, and an adopted grandson, Garrett.
Survivors include her husband, Roy; her sons, Phillip of Salt Lake City, Utah, Robert (Carol) of Fort Thomas, Ariz., and Thomas (India) of Sarpy; her brother, Oliver Lucas and her sister, Regina Hallquist of California; and her grandchildren, Rebecca, Sean, Natalie, Rachel, and Angie Lucas of Utah, Leigh Vinyard of Sheridan, Wyo., and Erin Fly of Fort Thomas, Ariz.
To honor Marion’s wishes, her casket will be closed. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 4, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hardin. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, June 5, at St. Joseph’s with Rite of Committal with military honors to follow at Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument. Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist has charge of arrangements.

Vincent ‘Vinnie’ James Frezzo
Vincent “Vinnie” James Frezzo, 58, died May 31, 2000, on Barker Mountain south of Great Falls in an airplane crash.
He was born Sept. 4, 1941, in Mount Vernon, N.Y., the son of Carmine and Olga (Cristiani) Frezzo. He attended schools in Mount Vernon and graduated from A.B. Davis High School in 1959. He studied forestry at Paul Smith’s College, Paul Smith, N.Y., graduating with an associates degree in 1963. He continued his study of forestry at the University of Montana, graduating with a B.S. degree in 1966. He joined the U.S. Air Force, rising to the rank of captain. He served in Viet Nam as the maintenance officer for Forward Air Control at DaNang.
He returned to Montana, where he worked on a master’s degree in range management at U of M and became a commercial pilot with Johnson Flying Service in Missoula.
He also worked for the State Department of Forestry.
In 1978, he was the first director of maintenance for the newly formed Big Sky Airlines. He later worked as a pilot for Strand Aviation in Kalispell and Minute Man Aviation in Missoula and Kalispell.
In 1986, he started Vinnie’s Italian Kitchen in downtown Billings, serving food based on his mother’s recipes. After closing the restaurant in 1996, he went to work for Lynch Flying Service as a commercial charter pilot and training supervisor.
Proud of his Italian heritage, Vinnie was loved by many for his sense of humor, genial personality, deep friendships, loving nature and wonderful food that he cooked in his restaurant and at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Pickett Frezzo; his brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Camille Frezzo and nieces, Cristina, Gina and Joanna Frezzo, all of Silver Spring, Md.; brothers and sister-in-law, Frank and Donna Jean Pickett and John Pickett of Butte and niece, Holly Pickett of Athens, Ga; and nephews, Matt, Jake and Kale Pickett of Butte and Luke Pickett of Tucson, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Billings. Interment will take place in Missoula. Memorials may be made to the Museum of Mountain Flying, 4505 U.S. Highway 10, Missoula, MT 59808, Central MT Search and Rescue, P.O. Box 2801, Great Falls, MT 59403, or the Alzheimer’s Research Center, 640 Jackson St., St. Paul, MN 55101. Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist has charge of arrangements.

Beulah Boyce Jolley
LOVELL, Wyo. – Beulah Boyce Jolley, 86, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at the Powell Nursing Home.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Haskell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 5, at 10 a.m. in the Lovell L.D.S. Stake Center. Interment will be in the Lovell cemetery.

Agnes Karge
CALDWELL, Idaho – Agnes Karge, died June 1, 2000, at Caldwell Idaho. Vigil Rosary services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, at the Clayton Memorial Chapel, Wolf Point, Mont. Memorial Mass services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Wolf Point. Inurnment will be in the Greenwood cemetery.
Agnes was born Dec. 11, 1912, in Butte, Mont., to Ludwig and Ethel Beuthien. She was raised in Butte and attended college in Dillon, Mont., at the Dillon Teachers College. In 1932, she moved to Wolf Point, Mont., to teach. There she met and married Carl Lee Karge in 1936. Together they raised two children, Carl and Betty, on their wheat farm north of Wolf Point. She was above all a loving and devoted mother and wife.
Agnes had a love of music and reading and a passion for teaching. She taught at several schools in the Wolf Point area until she retired in 1975. Agnes taught at Boyd, Woods, Magnuson, Highland and Wolf Point Northside Schools. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters and the Alter Society of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
A proud native of Montana, Agnes never forgot her childhood home of Butte or the mountains in western Montana. She also kept a special place in her heart for the people, prairies, wheat and her teaching career in Wolf Point, Mon. Agnes moved to Idaho in 1975. She lived in Boise, Idaho from 1975 to 1998 where she helped raise her grandchildren Jeff and Dawn Marie. She moved with her daughter and son-in-law to Caldwell, Idaho in 1998 where she spent her last years.
Her mother and father Ludwig and Ethel Beuthien and her seven brothers and sisters preceded Agnes in death. Her husband, Carl Lee Karge, who died May 30, 1970, also preceded her.
Agnes is survived by her children and their spouses, Carl and Eileen Karge in Wolf Point, Mont., and Betty and Larry Goertzen in Caldwell, Idaho. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Leonard Karge and his wife, Corey in Anchorage, Alaska, Craig Karge in Billings, Mont., Jack Sprague and his wife, Loy in Wolf Point, Jeff Markovich and his wife, Jasmine in Newport News, Va., Dawn Marie Markovich in Meridian, Idaho, Paige Hoover and her husband, Larry in Nampa, Idaho, Tawni Goertzen in Meridian, Todd Goertzen in Boise, Idaho, and Chris Goertzen in Boise; and by her great-grandchildren Tiffany and Corey Markovich in Tacoma, Wash., and Beau, Cameron, Savannah and Brennan Hoover in Nampa, Idaho.

Charles Parr
Our father, Charles Parr, died May 10, 2000, outside Overton, Nev., on the road to Lake Mead.
Born Aug. 28, 1927, in Three Forks, Mont., to Claude Albert Parr and Thelma Miller Parr. Enlisted and served with the Marine Corps in the Pacific during World War II.
Married June Rush in Billings, Mont., in 1952, and they moved and resided in Salt Lake City, Utah, with a few short residences in Ely, Nev., and Idaho Falls, Idaho, after their two children (John and Lynn) were born. Chuck was a member of B.P.O.E. and a Mason. His career was in wholesale appliance sales and later worked in several management positions in the intermountain area before starting his own business.
He had many interests, friends and talents which included photography, published writing, and reading. He excelled in many sports and was an avid golfer and fisherman. He was a musician (harmonica, banjo, ukulele). He acted in melodramas, however, only acting as villain which was very upsetting to his five year old daughter when he was booed. He inspired his kids in all he was interested in.
Chuck spent his last ten years traveling the West in his trailer enjoying freedom, nature, friends and family.
Dad loved and was proud of us kids and especially his grandkids.
We love our dad and miss him.
He is survived by June Parr; his son, John Charles Parr; daughter, Lynn Gaufin and her husband, Sam Gaufin; his grandchildren, Aimee Henriod, Eliott and Jillian Parr, Sammy and Bing Gaufin.

Richard ‘Dick’ Conway
MILES CITY – Vigil services for Richard “Dick” Conway, 80, will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 5, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the Calvary cemetery.

Cheryl Arlene Garcia
PABLO – Cheryl Arlene Garcia, age 53, of Pablo and formerly of Laurel, died of natural causes on Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula.
Cheryl was born Sept. 6, 1946, in Spokane, Wash., the daughter of Orville “Bill” and Myrtle Shepard.
She married Lyle “Tony” Garcia in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on Aug, 14, 1965. They lived in Laurel where Cheryl worked for the Public Library and volunteered at Community Hope for several years before moving to Pablo. In Pablo, she enjoyed being a substitute teacher.
Cheryl loved spending time with her husband, kids, and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading books and making jewelry.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle Shepard.
Survivors include her husband, Lyle “Tony” of Pablo; one son, Anthony Garcia and his wife, Debbie of Mesquite, Texas; one daughter, Alicia Kraft and her husband, Eric of Billings; three grandchildren, Matthew and Megan Garcia and Brittany Kraft; her father Orville “Bill” Shepard of Ronan; one brother, Bill Shepard of Seattle; one sister, Sharon Burns and her husband, Mike of Sherboygan Falls, Wis.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Parish Vigil Services will be held on Friday, June 2, at 7 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ronan. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 3, at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Mt. View cemetery in Ronan. Shrider’s Mortuary of Ronan is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Adeline Louise Heberle
FORSYTH – Adeline Louise Heberle, 97 of Forsyth, formerly of Plevna and Custer, died peacefully Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at the Rosebud Health Care Center in Forsyth.
Adeline was born March 31, 1903, in Herreid, S.D., the daughter of Henry and Margaret Schaeffer Heimbuch. On Nov. 22, 1923, Adeline married Karl Heberle in Herreid. They had three children while in South Dakota. They moved to Plevna, Mont., in 1928 where their next four children were born. In 1939, they moved to Custer where they owned and operated the Standard Oil Station with their sons for more than 20 years. In 1942, their youngest daughter was born in Hardin.
In 1964, Adeline and Karl moved to Forsyth, owning and operating Tepee Motor’s, which later became Heberle Ford. Adeline continued to live in Forsyth following her husband Karl’s death in 1989.
She is survived by her sons, Erwin (Bootsie), Karl R. (Rosella), Elmer (Mary), and Fred (Gaye) all of Forsyth; her daughter, Barbara Stevens of Ripon, Calif.; 21 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; three daughter-in-laws, Viola Heberle and Rebecca Heberle both of Forsyth; Doloras Erickson of Billings; a son-in-law, David O. Johnson of California; and three sisters. Adeline was preceded in death by her husband, Karl; two sons, Raymond and Clarence; her daughter, Lillian Johnson; son-in-law, Richard Stevens; and two grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, June 5, at the First Baptist Church in Forsyth with interment to follow in the Forsyth cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Rosebud Health Care Center. Beals Mortuary of Forsyth is assisting the family with these arrangements.

Leonard O. LaTray
LEWISTOWN – Leonard O. LaTray, 79, former resident of Lewistown, died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at his residence in Great Falls.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 5, at the Creel Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at the Central Montana Memorial Gardens.

Agnes Kay Maus
GOLVA, N.D. – Agnes Kay Maus, 73, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at her home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the Chapel of the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home and 5 p.m. to service time at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Rosary/Vigil services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, June 2, at St. Mary’s Church. Interment will follow services at St. Mary’s cemetery. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Allen ‘Duff’ Leroy Collingwood Jr.
GREYBULL – Allen “Duff” Leroy Collingwood Jr., 50, died at his home on Monday, May 29, 2000.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral services will take place at a later date. Atwood Family Funeral Directors, Inc. is in charge.
