Tyler Reed Jeroma
Tyler Reed Jeroma passed away Sunday, May 7, 2000, in Madison, Wis., of an accidental drug and alcohol overdose. He was born in Billings on April 1, 1975.
Tyler graduated from Skyview High School in 1993 with “highest honors.” He was the only Skyview student to receive a National Merit Scholarship that year. He lettered in cross-country track and was in the National Honor Society. After graduation, he was drawn to the “Big City” so he left for Madison, Wis., in August of that year and proceeded to make it his home. He attended the University of Wisconsin for one year and came to a “Y” in the road as to what career he wanted to pursue. Tyler worked at the Blood Plasma Collection Center, Covance Clinical Research and most recently at the University of Wisconsin Hospital Pharmacy. He loved his new job and already had many new close friends there. His Wisconsin friends have called to say how much he always did for others, what a special and caring friend he was, and how very much he loved his family.
Tyler was one of those special people who chose to love by sharing himself with others. He was interested in all the sciences and taught his younger cousin about the stars and constellations. He enjoyed jogging and wanted to run in the Madison Marathon. Reading, playing on the computer and sending silly e-mails to friends, wearing stylish clothes, dancing up a storm, road trips to Chicago, Minneapolis and Milwaukee to visit friends, walking Madison’s lovely streets, and coming home for Christmas, which included occasional ski trips with Sis, were all important parts of his life.
Tyler leaves behind parents, Al and Sue Jeroma, sister, Mandy Jeroma, maternal grandparents, Bud and Helen Reed, Uncle and Aunt (godparents) Walt and Arlene Jeroma, Aunt Karen and Uncle Randy Stoller, special cousin Katie Haider, and little Alex, cousins Paul (Kim) Jeroma, Walter (Robyn) Jeroma and Randy (Vanessa) Jeroma, as well as a family of friends in Madison. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Pete and Sophie Jeroma.
Even though your time with us was short, you were a blessing to all of us and our hearts will always hold special memories of you. How we wish we could have said goodbye... we all miss you. You made a tragic mistake and we know you did not intend for us to suffer because of it. We forgive you, we love you and we pray for God’s forgiveness. Goodbye beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. We celebrate the life we shared with you.
