Wanda Lou Vannoy
COLUMBUS – Wanda Lou Vannoy, 80, died Tuesday, May 2, at Stillwater Community Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 5, at Mountainview cemetery in Columbus. Smith Funeral Chapel in Columbus is in charge.

Deryle Gene Moseley
At the age of 65, Deryle Moseley of Billings died at Deaconess Medical Center on Monday, May 1, 2000. Deryle was born the son of Noel and Maybel (Becraft) Moseley on Nov. 19, 1934, in Garden City, Kan., where he was educated and graduated from Garden City High School.
On Dec. 31, 1958, Deryle was united in marriage to Alice Wood in Dodge City, Kan.
After 25 years of working as an electrician, Deryle retired from the IBEW in 1994. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. Playing pool, working crossword puzzles and playing horseshoes were his favorite pastimes.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Alice; his sons, Edward Moseley of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Dean Moseley of King George, Va.; daughters, Cindy (John) Fleming of Laurel, and Brenda Moseley of Billings; brother, Rev. Don Moseley (Carol) of Kohoka, Mo.; grandchildren, Jennifer Fleming of Billings and Stephanie Fleming of Laurel, and great-grandson, Matthew of Missoula.
Cremation has taken place, memorial services will be 7 p.m. Monday, May 8, at the Church of the Open Bible, 19th Street W. and Howard Avenue.
Memorials may be made to the Pregnancy Crisis Center, P.O. Box 8146, Billings, MT 59108 or Catholic Social Services, 2703 11th Ave. N, Suite 2, Billings, MT 59101. Dahl Funeral Chapel is in charge of all arrangements.

Robert E. Rose
SHERIDAN, Wyo. – Robert E. Rose, 82, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, in Sheridan Manor.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 5, in Sheridan Municipal cemetery. Ferries Funeral Home is in charge.

Vesta Clare Long
BUFFALO, Wyo. – Vesta Clare Long, 99, passed away Monday, May 1, 2000, at the Amie Holt Care Center in Butte.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 5, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church with Father Steve Samples officiating. Visitation will be held 1 - 10 p.m. Thursday, May 4, at Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Willow Grove cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral.

Rudolph ‘Bud’ Budnick
BUFFALO, Wyo. – Bud Budnick, 77, passed away suddenly at the Johnson County Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 5, at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Charles Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, and 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Willow Grove cemetery with the VFW and American Legion in charge of military graveside rites.

Lillian F. Wilson
Lillian F. Wilson of Billings passed away at her home on May 1, 2000, in her daughters loving arms.
Lillian was born Feb. 1, 1909, in Hebron, N.D., to Edward and Mary (Rickert) Nolan. She was raised by her grandparents, Albert and Anna (Hartman) Rickert.
On May 6, 1928, she married Robert Wilson. They farmed in the Brampton, N.D., area until moving to Billings in 1948.
Lillian was a wonderful homemaker and mother. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. All of her grandchildren treasure the quilts she made for them. She enjoyed writing and receiving letters and cards, never forgetting any special event of our lives. Lillian was a member of American Lutheran Church.
Lillian is survived by a brother, Art Nolan of Kennewick, Wash.; one sister, Elva Whitaker of Miles City; three daughters, Donna Thayer of North Pole, Alaska, Elaine Popp of Billings and Margaret Niertz of Spokane, Wash.; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and numerous friends and neighbors.
Bye bye, Grammy, we love you!
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 4, at Smith’s Downtown Chapel, 120 N. 26th St. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will start at 12 noon Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.

Rick Benzel
SHEPHERD - Rick Benzel died unexpectedly on Monday, May 1, 2000, the result of a construction accident. Rick was born in Hardin on Sept. 24, 1947, to Betty and Carl Benzel. He attended schools in Hardin, Roberts and Dayton, Wyo.
Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Marines. Rick served his country proudly in Viet Nam and received numerous medals, including two Purple Hearts, and he also received the Presidential Citation for saving the lives of fellow servicemen.
Rick retired from the Yellowstone County Sheriffs Department July 31, 1997, but stayed active with the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Reserve. He was on the Shepherd Fire Area Board and served with the Shepherd Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Rick was also a member of the VVA No. 334 color guard. At the time of his death, Rick was self-employed.
Rick is survived by his wife, Susan Carlson; daughters, Nicole, Kristen and Jami Benzel, Natalie (Haynes) Gregory, Raychel Carlson; very special granddaughter, Ariel Glenn; three grandsons, Trey and Miles Gregory, and Nathan Carlson-Muri. Rick was also a foster father for many years. His daughter, Jean Peters, had just returned to the family home with her son, Derek. Rick is also survived by his sisters, Kay (Les) Papke, Cindy Benzel; and by his brother, Mickie (Laurie); his uncles, Jobn (Ruth) Benzel, Marvin Taylor; aunt Hilda (Paul) Tonder and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
Visitation will be at Smith’s Downtown Chapel, 120 N. 26th St., to start at 12 noon Wednesday through 9 p.m. Thursday. Services will be held Friday, May 5, at 1 p.m. at Smith West Chapel, 304 34th St. W. in Billings. A fellowship will be held afterward, with interment at Shepherd cemetery at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Shepherd Volunteer Fire Department-EMS.

Marylee Barisich
WINNETT – Marylee Barisich, 68, passed away Monday, May 1, 2000, at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings of cancer. She was born May 27, 1931 in Hardin, the daughter of Lee and Isabel Worley. They moved to Glasgow and she received her education there.
On June 2. 1956, she was united in marriage to Jack Barisich in Great Falls. They lived in Chinook, Havre, Cut Bank and Michigan while Jack worked in the oil fields and then settled in Winnett where they raised their five children. She worked at the B&E Cash Grocery for several years and then at the Kozy Korner Kafe until her retirement. They continued living in Winnett until the time of her death.
Marylee was an avid mouse collector, loved flower and woodcrafts but the most important and dearest to her was her family.
She is survived by her husband Jack of Winnett; three sons Dann and his wife Carol of Dutton, Jason and Justin and his wife Sue, all of Billings: one daughter Kim Tarplee and her husband Leo. Jr. of New Palestine, Ind.; three brothers Bill and his wife Nadine Worley of St. Regis, Charles and his wife Rene Worley of Wolf Point, and Early Worley of Laurel; one sister, Maxine Amundson of Circle; six grandchildren, two step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, in the Cloyd Chapel with interment to follow in the Lewistown City cemetery. The Cloyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Friends may make memorials to the Rocky Mountain Cancer Center of Billings and they may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home.
Marylee’s up front honesty and opinion will be missed greatly by all of us who knew and loved her.

Raymond M. Davis
10/05/05–6/10/2000
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Our father, grandfather, uncle and friend left us to greet many of his loved ones in Heaven on the 10th of June at his home in Colorado Springs.
Formerly of Billings, Ray was a contract carpenter and member of Central Christian Church. He and his wife of 40 years, Goldie, moved to Colorado in 1975 to be near their children and families. Ray and Goldie continued in their walk with the Lord by becoming members of Gethsemane Christian Fellowship in Colorado Springs.
An entire book could be written on Ray and his zest for life. The testimony of friends and family will attest to his faith, compassion and love. Grandpa never got old, he just aged.
Ray was preceded on his way to the gates of Heaven by his wife, Goldie Pearl (Cellan) Davis in 1983; his granddaughter, Linda (1985); his son, Marvin B. (1999); his brothers, John, James, Thomas, Herman, Virgil, and William (Aubrey).
Ray leaves to always remember him his wife of 10 years, Beverly; son, Edgar R. (Sue) of Portland, Ore.; daughter, Jean Edsall (Grant) Colorado Springs; daughter-in-law, Patricia (Marvin Davis) Colorado Springs; sister, Oleta Lee, Texas; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter and a myriad of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held June 12, 2000. Memorial contributions may be made to Gethsemane Open Bible Fellowship, 1628 Babcock Lane, Colorado Springs, CO 80915 or your local hospice.

Ted W. Dorothy
SUNDANCE, Wyo. – Ted W. Dorothy, 93, died Thursday, June 15, 2000, at the Crook Nursing Home in Sundance.
Cremation will take place and a wake will be held at a later date. The Carlsen-Jolley Funeral Home of Spearfish is in charge.

Aileen A. Isaac
Aileen A. Isaac, a beloved mother, grandmother and friend of Billings died Tuesday, June 13, 2000.
Aileen was born in Worden on March 19, 1914, to William and Mabel (Maines) Foreman. She was raised in Hysham and graduated from Hysham High School. She then went on to Rocky Mountain College and majored in music.
Aileen married Philip J. Isaac on June 25, 1936. Aileen became a loving mother spending most of her time raising her loving family. Aileen could always be found playing bridge with her friends.
She mainly lived in Billings but did move around for a little while. She spent one year in Sun City, Ariz., one year in Quartz Hill, Calif., and six years in Lancaster, Calif.
Survivors are daughter, Philene J. Groves (Els) of Pioneer, Calif.; son, Keith W. Isaac (Cathy) of Aurora, Colo.; two grandchildren, Kevin and Kristin; sister-in-law, Leota Hamilton of Billings; and several nieces and nephews
Preceding her in death were her parents, William and Mabel Foreman; spouse, Philip J. Isaac; brothers, Howard and Roscoe Foreman; sister, Helen Dunham.
Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 16, at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Interment at Mountview cemetery. Dahl Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Ron Johnson
Ron was born May 28, 1938, in Bridger to Harold and Edith Johnson. He lived in Powell, Wyo., the Elk Basin area and Warren, Mont., spending summers on the Pryor Mountains where his dad herded sheep. Ron attended school in Powell and Warren before moving with his family at age eight to Billings where he went to Lockwood and graduated from Billings Senior High.
He held various jobs before spending 30 years at Montana Dakota Utilities, retiring in September 1996.
He married his wife, Judy, on Jan. 1, 1974. Ron enjoyed camping, square dancing, traveling, motorcycling and spending time with his grandkids.
Ron is survived by his wife, Judy; daughters, Teri Noble (Jim) of Billings; Dawn Johnson of Seattle; Josette Stellers (Dave) of Hailey, Idaho; and son, Barry Howland (Gigi) of San Diego, Calif. Also surviving are two sisters, Yvonne Jorgensen (Fred) and Gloria Stordahl (Jim); eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins,
He was preceded in death by his son, Roland; his grandparents and parents.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at Smith Downtown Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be Friday 5 p.m.- 9 p.m. and Saturday prior to services. Memorials may be sent to Montana Hope Project Wishes for Terminally Ill Kids, Box 5927, Helena, Mont., or charity of your choice.
You gave me your life. I gave you mine. We’ve seen many happy times together. You’ve now joined our dear Lord and are at peace with a lot of our family. One day we will be together again. Until then I will always love you and miss you.

George Thomas Maddux Sr.
OLYMPIA, Wash. – George T. Maddux Sr. passed away at St. Peters Hospital in Olympia on Oct. 6, 1999. after struggling with a brain injury due to an accidental fall. Our beloved Dad was cremated and will be laid to rest with our mother, Maxine K. Maddux, who passed away Aug. 24, 1986.
George was born March 31, 1931, in Webster City, Iowa. He served his country during World War II, was married to Maxine for 32 years, and had seven children. We love him, miss him, honor him and cherish him. Goodbye, Dad. Rest in peace. Be with God who you became very close to your last years. Rejoin Mom and continue your dearing relationship that because of, you have left seven wonderful people who will continue to walk in your soft soled footsteps and strive to be only half as well natured as you were.
He is survived by his seven children, Georgia Wolfe, Pete Maddux, Patty Banuelos, Nancy Kline and George Maddux Jr., all of Washington; Maxine Lujon of Alaska; Melinda Oedekoven of Billings; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The services will be held at Terrace Gardens cemetery in Billings on June 19, 2000 at 3 p.m. A reception will follow at Smith’s West Chapel located adjacent to the cemetery.

Wallace K. McNamee
DESERT HOT SPRING, Calif. – Wallace K. McNamee, 84, formerly of Billings and Fargo, N.D., died June 9, 2000, at his home.
Memorial arrangements in Detroit Lakes are pending.
