Dorothy B. Besanson
SHERIDAN, Wyo. – Dorothy B. Besanson, 84, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at Sheridan Manor.
Cremation has taken place and private family graveside services will be held on Friday, May 5, in the Forsyth cemetery. Champion Funeral Home is in charge.

William Lee Cotton
SHERIDAN, Wyo. – William Lee “Bill” Cotton, 61, died Monday, May 1, 2000, at his home after a lengthy fight with cancer.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2000, at Champion Funeral Home.

Harold T. Stradtman
Harold T. Stradtman, husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend passed away Sunday, April 30, 2000.
Harold, son of Henry Stradtman and Clara Zeller, one of five children, was born on April 17, 1914, in Carson, N.D. He worked on the family farm, owned a trucking firm and learned machinist skills in Syracuse, N.Y. He married Edna Ella Zieske, on Aug. 1, 1934, in Sidney. Harold worked for Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, Wash., until they settled in Billings in 1943. Harold loved to drive trucks and worked for Northern Pacific Railway, now known as Burlington Northern for 30 years earning numerous truck rodeo and safety awards. He retired in 1971.
He was also busy whether it was coaching little league, fixing everything and anything, playing baseball with his grandchildren, or doing the things he loved. He loved fishing, bowling, dancing, watching baseball, playing cards and helping Edna take care of her beautiful rose garden with tender loving care. His entire life was going out of his way to help his family, and friends, and neighbors. To most who knew him he was a master mechanic and a jack of all trades.
Preceding him in death was his parents, Henry and Clara Stradtman, brothers, Lester and Melvin Stradtman.
Survivors include his wife Edna Zieske Stradtman; daughters, D. Kaye (Bill) Fenton and Gloria Davies (Gerald) Nelson, grandchildren, Debra (Terry) Pursell, Darla (Scott) Bierwiler, Darren (Heidi) Davies, Brett Carpani, Adam (Ginger) Carpani, Joshua (Jen) Fenton, Melissa Fenton, Jerry (Sue) Nelson, Jr., Connie Nelson; Edward (Sue) Nelson; great grandchildren, Aaron Pursell, Bradley Pursell, Levi (Angie) Bierwiler, Joshua Bierwiler, Danielle Bierwiler, Zachary Falcon Carpani, Michael Fenton, Nicky Nelson, Kea Nelson, Robert Nelson, and Amanda Strand; great-great grandchildren, Justy Bierwiler and Mercedes Bierwiler, two sisters, Selma Zimmer and Gertrude Odegaard and sister-in-laws, Ethilyn Stradtman, and Katie Zieske and brother-in-laws, Roy Zieske and O.R. Jesse.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, at Smith’s West Chapel, 304 34th St. West. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial cemetery. We love you and we will miss you and shall never forget you. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Dale M. ‘Skeeter’ Dynneson
SIDNEY – Dale M. “Skeeter” Dynneson died Monday, May 1, 2000, at the Mercy Medical Center in Williston.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 4, at the Pella Lutheran Church, Sidney. Interment will be in the Sidney cemetery. Fulkerson Funeral Home of Sidney is in charge.

Florence Holien Bresky
Florence Holien Bresky passed away Sunday, April 30, 2000, at Valley Health Care. She was born on March 1, 1912, in Harvey, N.D., the daughter of Ollie and Mollie Holien.
She was married to Reuben Bresky, her loving husband whom she shared 56 years of a wonderful life with. Reuben preceded her in death, Dec. 4, 1991. A long time resident of Billings, she worked in the retail business staffing at Vaughn Ragsdal in the 1940s to KG’s Mens’ Store in the 1980s. She was also active with the American Red Cross and a member of Temple Beth Aaron. She was a loving kind woman who enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, and being with family and friends. She is survived by a daughter Penny of Santa Monica, Calif. Memorial services will be held at a later time. Interment will be at Beth Aaron cemetery.
Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist has charge of arrangements.

Alice E. Peltier
WOLF POINT – Alice E. Peltier, 85, died on April 29, 2000, at the N.E. Montana Health Services facility.
Visitations will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, at the Clayton Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point with a prayer service at 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 4, at the Clayton Memorial Chapel. Cremation will take place following the service.

Charity Jones Longee
POPLAR – Charity Jones Longee died on April 30, 2000, at her home.
Visitations will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3. A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 4, at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Riverside cemetery near Brockton. A feed will be held at the church following the burial. Clayton Memorial Chapel is in charge.

Mary Tooke
MILES CITY – Mary Tooke, 90, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2000, at the Holy Rosary Health Center.
Visitation will begin Tuesday. Vigil services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Gil Hemauer-Capuchin as celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow in the family lot in the Calvary cemetery. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of arrangements.

Willard “Bill” Cradit
MILES CITY – Willard William “Bill” Cradit, 60, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2000, at his home in Miles City.
A prayer services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, in the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Head officiating. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Bensinville, Ill. Interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran Church cemetery in Bensenville, Ill. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge arrangements.

Warren E. ‘Goose’ Groshart
TEN SLEEP, Wyo.– Warren E. “Goose” Groshart, 79, formerly of Worland, passed away April 30, 2000, at Washakie Medical Center in Worland, from complications of a fall at his home April 26.
Visitation will be held from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, at Veile Mortuary in Worland, and 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, until the funeral service. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Worland.

Sylvia M. Lyndes
HYSHAM – Sylvia M. Lyndes, 72 of Hysham, died Saturday, April 29, 2000, at her home in Hysham of natural causes.
Sylvia was born Feb. 20, 1928, in Forsyth, the daughter of Anfin and Anna Johnson Muri. She spent her youth in Myers, attending grade school at Rancher, followed by graduating from Hysham High School. Sylvia attended the University of Montana as a music major. Sylvia returned to Hysham where she worked for Taylor’s Motor Mart.
On June 12, 1949, Sylvia married Charles Lyndes at the family home in Myers. They continued to live in Hysham where Sylvia raised her three boys. In 1959, Sylvia worked for the Selective Service as a clerk for the next 15 years: She also taught piano lessons to many of the kids in Hysham for 30 years and played the organ and piano for many weddings, funerals, in a number of bands, as well as many other activities.
Sylvia was a member of the Hysham Community Presbyterian Church, where she played the organ, was on the Senior Citizens Advisory Board, Council on Aging, HRDC Board, a past Worthy Matron of the Hysham Eastern Star and the Bethlehem Order of the Eastern Star in Forsyth; an election judge as well as being involved in many other activities in the Hysham area. Sylvia was very instrumental in the creation of the Treasure County 89ers Museum and served as board president from its inception in 1988 until her death.
She is survived by her three sons, Jay (Pam) Lyndes of Billings, Charles (Bev) Lyndes Jr. of Green River, Wyo., Greg (Betsy) Lyndes of Fresno, Calif.; six grandchildren, Kari, Brian, Brandi, Erik, Ryan, and Ashlynn. Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Charles and her brother, Melvin Muri.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 5, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hysham with interment to follow in the Rancher cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Treasure County Museum. Beals Mortuary of Forsyth is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Regina ‘Toni’ K. Shoopman
GLENDIVE – Regina “Toni” K. Shoopman, 70, passed away quietly at her home in Glendive, to be with our Lord, our Father on Sunday, April 30, 2000.
Vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, at the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home in Glendive. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 4, at St. Francis Xavier’s Church in Circle with Father Leo McDowell officiating. Rite of Committal will be in the Riverside cemetery in Circle. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Glendive is entrusted with arrangements.

Natha H. Ketchum
WOLF POINT – Natha H. “Toots” Ketchum, 77, passed away May 1, 2000, at Faith Home in Wolf Point.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, at Clayton Memorial Chapel in Circle. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 4, at the First Lutheran Church in Circle. Interment will be in the Riverview cemetery in Circle.

Ruth A. Lowe
CHERRY VALLEY, Calif. – Ruth A. Lowe, 77, formerly of Big Timber, passed away April 28, 2000, at Cherry Valley Health Care in Banning, Calif.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 4, at Weaver Mortuary Chapel, Beaumont, Calif.

Rhonda Jean Castle
Rhonda Jean Castle died Friday, April 28, 2000, after a short battle with cancer. Rhonda was born in Fort Wayne, Ind., on Sept. 14, 1962, where she spent her early childhood years. The family moved to California, Ohio, and then Iowa, where she graduated from high school in 1980. Later moves took her to Colorado, where she met her husband, and eventually to Montana, where they married and made their home.
Rhonda will be remembered for her love for her family, her friends and her creative talents. Her pets also occupied a special place in her heart. She had a beautiful singing voice, and wrote short stories for her nieces and nephews. We will all miss her so much.
Rhonda is survived by her husband, Gary of Billings; her father and stepmother, Jim and Sondra Reyer of Shepherd; her sister, Lori Sexton (Denny) and brother, Dan Reyer (Ardys), also of Shepherd; two stepsisters, Martie Panarelli (Dave) and Kellie Bearman (Nigel); stepbrother, Rob Barrett; three nephews and six nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Reyer.
The casket is closed. Visitation will be 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist Mortuary. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, at the Red Lodge cemetery.

Patricia Ann Green
Patricia Ann Green, age 63, of Billings, died Saturday, April 29, 2000, at Valley Health Care Center.
She was born July 2, 1936, in Billings, the daughter of Charles E. and Opal (Davey) McKinney. She was raised in Laurel and graduated from Laurel High School.
Pat married Darrell Stevens in 1969. He died in 1970. She later married Duane Green, She worked for Billings White Truck for 15 years and later worked for School District No. 2.
Pat liked to knit and crochet and do hand work and also made beautiful tapestries. She was very generous in giving these items to people.
Pat was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints She is survived by a brother and his wife, Charles C. and Marilyn McKinney of Billings; a sister, Marijean Ingraham of Alpine, Utah, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, at Mountview cemetery. Cremation is planned. Smith’s Downtown Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

William G. ‘Bill’ Brown
William G. (Bill) Brown died at his home here in Billings on Saturday, April 29, 2000. He was born on Oct. 22, 1930, in Hanley, Texas. His parents, Robert and Leona (Schultz) Brown, raised him in Montana where he graduated from Cut Bank High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
On Sept. 12, 1953, Bill was united in marriage to Eileen Mary Byrne in Anaconda, Mont. Together they raised five children. In 1958, Bill graduated from the School of Mines in Butte with a degree in petroleum engineering.
Bill worked for the smelter in Anaconda, BS&B Oil Company of Williston, N.D., Murphy Oil of Poplar, Mont., and retired from Burlington Resources of Billings in 1993. He was member of the Society of Petroleum Engineering, the Poplar School Board and Toastmasters of Poplar. Bill enjoyed bowling, traveling, and fishing. “There have been good times and bad times, but I’ve never been bored.”
Bill is survived by his wife, Eileen; his son, Dan (Jan) Brown of Wyoming; daughters, Barbara (Monte) Wise of Idaho, Catherine (Mark) Almdahl of Pennsylvania, Leanne (Alan) Goldhahn of California, and Patti Brown of Montana; and nine grandchildren. His father, John R. Brown, preceded him in death.
A Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, May 2, at 10 a.m. at St. Pius Catholic Church, 18th and Broadwater, Billings. Committal of ashes will be in Anaconda on Wednesday, May 3, at 3 p.m. Memorials may be made in his name to Special Olympics, Box 81033, Billings, 59108.
