Jennie Bee Losinski

BEACH, N.D. – Jennie Bee Losinski, 84, formerly of Wibaux, Mont., died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, in Beach.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home in Wibaux. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Wibaux. Rite of Committal will be in the Wibaux cemetery.

Precious Heaven Foster Nava

Precious Heaven Foster Nava was born on Nov. 7, 2001, to be reunited with our Lord.

She is survived by her parents, Prima Nava and Larry Foster-El; her brother, Azariah Nava; sisters, Latasha and Conception Nava Foster, Marissa and Mashalya Foster; aunts, Tanya Nava, Jessie Nava, Buttons, Victoria (Joe) Reyna, Mystery and Lulu Nava, Lakiesha Foster, Tita Martinez; uncles, Victor Nava, Jr., Tim (Sasha) Nava, Tony, Jimmy Joe, Nathan Nava, Anthony Garcia, Alex Foster, E.J. from Texas; a special nanny, Alberia Foster; grandparents, Victor Nava, Sr., Charlene Perez, Larry Foster and Carolyn Templeton of Texas; great-grandparents, Bill and Sally Foster and Josephine Shepard and numerous family members.

“Precious, we will Miss and LOVE YOU FOREVER!” Love, Mom and Dad.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Smith’s Downtown Chapel. Interment will follow at Holy Cross cemetery.

Howard ‘Clayton’ Rowe

HIGHWOOD – Howard “Clayton” Rowe, 81, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, at his home of natural causes.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Benton Funeral Home. Cremation will take place. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.

Verner Wayne Sears

WOLF POINT – Verner Wayne Sears, 67, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, at the Northeast Montana Health Services Facility.

A wake will be held on Friday at the Wolf Point Community Hall with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Church with burial in the Poplar City cemetery. Clayton Memorial Chapel is in charge.

Douglas ‘Doug’ L. Skurdal

Douglas “Doug” L. Skurdal passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, at St. Vincent Healthcare. Doug was born in Belmont, Mont., on April 15, 1928, the son of Gustav and Anseph Skurdal.

Doug was an excellent mechanic. He owned and operated Doug’s Auto Repair in Broadview and Billings. He also worked at Russiff’s Auto. Doug also owned and operated Yellowstone Water Service but sold it due to bad health.

Doug loved his family and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodge.

Doug married Beatrice Beastrom in 1950 and is survived by four sons: Steven, Rodney, Gustav and Bret. He is also survived by four grandchildren, a brother, sisters, nieces, nephews and his loving companion Marie Kautz and children.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Gallery, 29 Eighth St. W. Burial will be at Sunset cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Northern Rockies Cancer Center or the charity of choice.

Gay Ann Engleman

Gay Ann Engleman, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001 in Billings after a very brief illness.

Gay was born on Aug. 30, 1939, to Walter S. and Dorothy T. Weidler. Gay attended Broadwater Elementary School, Lincoln Junior High School and graduated from Billings Senior High School in 1957.

In December of 1984, Gay married Jack K. Engleman and together they shared a love for the Lord, their family and friends. For the past 22 years Gay worked as an administrative assistant at St. Vincent Healthcare and always felt she was privileged to “have the best job in Billings.” She felt the Lord had placed her in this position to serve him and the mission of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth.

Gay enjoyed reading, playing the piano, watching all kinds of sports and spending time with her family and friends.

Gay is survived by her husband, Jack; step-son, Steve Engleman (Sherry) of Littleton, Colo., and step-grandson, Justin Engleman of Arlington, Heights, Ill.; sister, Glee (Peter) Killorn of Bozeman; sisters-in-law, Linda Weidler of Billings, Edith McClean and Ardith Cooper of Craig, Colo. Gay is also survived by a very special nephew, Mike (Renita) Weidler of Laurel; two special nieces, Tracy (Jim) Hawbaker of Billings and Kristen Weidler of Denver, as well as great nephew and nieces, Brett, Logan and Lauryn Weidler and Bryce and Sydney Hawbaker who were very precious to her. Gay was preceded in death by her father, Walter, mother, Dorothy and brother, Glenn.

Gay will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

There will be a memorial service at Faith Evangelical Church on Monday Nov. 12, at 10 a.m. Private interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The casket is closed. Memorials may be made to Faith Evangelical Church, St. Vincent Foundation or Big Sky Hospice.

Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary has charge of arrangements.

Lynn D. White

Lynn Dorothy White, 68, passed away April 7, 2001, at home after a courageous battle with cancer, with her family by her side. Lynn was born May 14, 1932, to Ed and Irene Bauer in Miles City. She was the younger of two girls.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Don White of Billings; son, Larry (Nancy) Pinnow of Billings; their three children, Matthew Thomas (Jennifer) and children, Jessie and Tiffany, Jo Ann (Rob) Paterson, and Staff Sergeant Lance Pinnow of Fort Carson, Colo.; daughter Irene (Bill) Sheldon of Billings; her three children, Paula (James) Lind and children, Kortni, Kayla, and Kenderah, Trevor Ehrmantraut of Billings, Tracy (Earl) Campbell of Billings and their two children, Andrea and Adam. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister.

Mom loved her roses and flowers. She loved to sit at her dining room table and watch her birds outside. Every summer she spent at the cabin at Fort Smith. Mom loved her Walleye fishing. She was always there for her family, helping in every way.

“Mom, we will miss you, but God has chosen you to be with him now. The time came to cross the rainbow ridge.”

We want to thank Hospice for their wonderful support. Visitation will be at the Dahl Chapel, Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Dahl Chapel. A luncheon will follow. A private family interment is planned.

Ed Albrecht

Ed Albrecht, 83, went to be with his loving wife of 54 years, Lydia, on April 6, 2001.

He was born on Feb. 25, 1918, in the homestead cabin south of Bridger to William and Mary Albrecht. He and Lydia were married June 1, 1941. He farmed in Bridger until 1959. He then moved to Lewistown, where he owned the Dodge dealership until 1964. He resided in Billings and worked for Wymont Beverages until he retired in 1980.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lydia Albrecht, in 1995; and his daughter, Judith, in 1982. Survivors include Sharon (Bob) Brown of Lewistown, Janet Krenelka of Sheridan, Shirlee Shepard of Billings, Jeanie (Jim) Mullins of Great Falls, Steve (Cherrie) of Helena and Tammy Farro of Cheyenne, Wyo.; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and his brother, William (Mary) Albrecht of Bridger.

The family would especially like to thank Tom Shepard and Trina, Loretta, Opal and Sherry of Big Sky Hospice. Thank you to his special neighbor Caroline Cosgrove.

Memorials may be made to The Diabetes Foundation. Smith Funeral Chapel is in charge of the services which will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, at Smith Downtown Chapel. Interment will follow at the Bridger cemetery. A gathering after the interment will be at Memorial Park Building in Bridger.

Robert R. Nielsen

LEWISTOWN — Robert R. Nielsen, 78, of Lewistown, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, in Valle Vista Manor.

Cremation has taken place. No services are planned. Burial of cremains will be at a later date in Minnesota. Cloyd Funeral Home is in charge.

Thomas Campbell Bassett

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Thomas Campbell Bassett, former resident of Hardin, Mont., died Nov. 2, 2001, from complications of diabetes in Albuquerque.

Tom was a well-known epistemologist and former president of Campbell Farming Corporation who continued to serve the company as a director until his death. Tom helped CFC transition from the farming and ranching business into the development business in New Mexico. He was instrumental in the strategic planning and sale of the Mountain Ranch development in the Sandia and Monte Largo mountains of New Mexico.

Tom is survived by his daughter Jeanne, grandson Noah, and sister Stephanie.

Linda Marie Barlow

GREAT FALLS – Linda Marie Barlow, 53, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001, at a Great Falls hospital of Wegeners Disease.

She was born June 21, 1948, and was raised in Circle where she graduated from high school. She also graduated from MSU in Bozeman. On Aug. 7, 1971, she married Joseph Barlow in Circle. She had been a high school teacher at CMR and Great Falls High and a librarian and library teacher before retiring and becoming office manager for the Great Falls Education Association.

She enjoyed pinochle and gardening and shared her baked goodies with family and friends.

She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church.

Survivors include her husband; her parents, Dale and Joan Goodale of Circle; a son, John of Great Falls; two sisters, Judy Goodale of Laurel and Cis Tiensvold of Phoenix, and three brothers, John Goodale of Boise, Idaho, and Robert and Dave Goodale, both of Billings.

Vigil for the Deceased will be at 7 p.m. Sunday before the service at 4 p.m. Monday, all at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will be in Highland cemetery. O’Connor Funeral Home is in charge.

Betty L. Thom

LAUREL – Betty L. Thom, 66, of Laurel, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at St. Vincent Healthcare.

Betty was born Aug. 7, 1935, to Jay W. and Mabel1e (Miers) Fauver in Ekalaka.

Betty loved people, her husband, her children and grandchildren. One of Betty’s greatest loves was growing flowers, especially roses. She always had a smile for everyone; she was our friend and will be greatly missed.

Betty is survived by her husband, Gene; sons, Terry, David and Danny Thom; daughters, JoAnne Baum, Carol Campbel and Elida Guenthner; brother, Phil Fauve; sister, Patricia Tash; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday Nov. 8, at Hope United Methodist Church, 244 Wicks Lane. Cremation or Funeral Gallery is in charge of arrangements.
