Daniel G. Dodds

On Saturday afternoon, Nov. 6, 2004, Daniel G. Dodds of Hamilton made his transition to the non-physical.

Most tributes of this kind chronicle a person's "achievements" - their degrees, their careers, their associations. Daniel didn't care about anyone's resume - especially his own. He is best described as teacher, best friend, brother and philosopher.

Daniel's journey this lifetime was one of inner work, inspiration, and reflection - and the continual pursuit of clarity, awareness and a strengthening of his connection with spirit. He lived his life being true to his heart, even when it went against convention - and he fiercely wanted the same for all of us.

Daniel was honored to be the son of Gilbert T. and Margaret M. Dodds; the brother of Dianna Curran, Denise Olson, and David Dodds; the brother-in-law of Tim Olson; the father-in-law of Steve Jirsa; and "Uncle Dan" to his nieces and nephews. The treasures of his life were his four beautiful daughters, Danielle Jirsa, Gillian Dodds, Danica Dodds and Kati Dodds; and his sweet grandchildren, Joshua and Sydney Jirsa. Linda Goodspeed Dodds is blessed to have been his partner, wife and love for more than 20 years. He was also honored to have found amazing, wonderful people he considered to be his extended family and with whom he shared his life, his wisdom and his love.

Every person he met made a contribution to his life and he was truly grateful to each and every one of you.

Daniel saw little separation between the physical and the non-physical so we are finding reminders of him in all things. He thought of "death, " not as an ending, but rather as a shift of focus to a more expanded perception.

He has gone on to his next great adventure, and we wish him "safe journey."
