Ladean Sessions Hamilton

Ladean Sessions Hamilton, 87, of Hamilton died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at the Marcus Daly Memorial hospice center in Hamilton following several months of illness.

She was born April 30, 1917, in Shelly, Idaho, the fourth of eight daughters born to Thomas and Violet Killian Sessions. She moved to the Bitterroot Valley with her family in the early 1930s. She graduated from Corvallis High School in 1936.

On Oct. 31, 1952, she married Oburn Hamilton. The couple lived in the Bitterroot area for most of their lives.

Mrs. Hamilton was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various capacities all her adult life.

She is survived by a sister, Alice Loving Ehart, of Arizona; son, Mike Hamilton, of Utah; and nieces and nephews, Pete and Tom Miller, Wilma, Georgean and Judy Talbot, Dianne and David Dearborn, Violet and Gary Loving, Sheryl and Dan Brooks, and all of their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and six sisters.

Visitation was Sunday, Nov. 28, at the Daly-Leach Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29, 2004, at the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton with Bishop Howard Recht officiating. Interment will follow at Corvallis cemetery in Corvallis.

Irene V. Rudishauser

Irene V. Rudishauser, 94, of Hamilton passed away Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at the Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital in Hamilton. Arrangements are under the care of the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton.

Leonard "Wally" Ferrel

Leonard "Wally" Ferrell, 75, of Hamilton passed away Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at Valley View Estates in Hamilton.

Arrangements are under the care of the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton.

Jackie T. Glasser

Jackie T. Glasser, 55, of Conner, passed away Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at her home in Conner. Arrangements are under the care of the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton.

Sharron Osburn-Taylor

Sharron Osburn-Taylor, 62, of Portland, Ore., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004.

Sharron was a 1960 graduate of Hamilton High School. She was a trained sleep lab technician and worked for Kaiser Hospital in Portland.

Sharron was an avid gardener and traveled all over the area to see different gardens. She also was in two bowling leagues and was a member of a lunch bunch that met once a month.

A memorial was held for Sharron in Tualatin, Ore., on Nov. 11. It was attended by many of her friends and colleagues. Her sister, Patti Martin, brother-in-law, Walt Martin, Collette Martin-Cox, a niece, and Colby Martin, a nephew were also in attendance.

Sharron is survived by her mother, Leota Osburn.

The family suggests any memorials be sent to the American Diabetes Association.

Ruby Grace Morris

Ruby Grace Morris, 92, longtime resident of Stevensville, died on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at the Bitterroot Valley Living Center in Stevensville.

She was born on April 9, 1912, in Prado, Calif., and was the daughter of Elmer Calvin and Ruby Pearl (Pate) Emerick.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Roscoe Morris, in 1983.

Grace is survived by a son, John (Geri) Morris of North Pole, Alaska; two sisters, Lena Harney and Ethel Willenberg; two step-sisters, Pauline Simonson and Virginia Powers and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

No services are planned at this time. Her ashes will be interred at the Riverside cemetery in Stevensville. The Whitesitt Funeral Home and Cremation of Stevensville is in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy M. Jameson

Dorothy May Jameson, 81, of Hamilton, croosed over on the morning of November 21, at Valley View Estates.

She was born May 25, 1923, in Arlee, Mont. to Isaac and Annella Dale. As a young girl she lived in Plains and Thompson Falls. She attended high school in Polson where she studied tap dancing and graduated in 1942. In 1945 she married Roy Jameson and began a homemaking career that lasted her entire life. She and Roy traveled with the Air Force, spending extended time in England, Japan, New York, Florida and New Mexico. After retiring from the Air Force they lived in Montana and Colorodo and finally settled near their daughter, Terri, in Arkansas. After 50 years of marriage, Roy passed away in 1995 and Dorothy returned to Montana once again to live near her son, Brian, and his family.

Dorothy delighted in cooking and caring for her family. She always had bowls of candy out for the children. She liked fishing, camping, bowling and bingo. She had a wonderful sense of humor and friendliness to all she met. Throughout her life she made friends wherever she went.

Survivors include her son Brian Jameson; her daughter, Teresa Alphin; two grandaughters, Morgan and Summer; and one Greatgrandson Aydan.

Services will be held Saturday, November 27 at 2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Missoula.

Onetta Louise Rose

Onetta Louise Rose, 91, of Stevensville died at the Bitterroot Valley Living Center on Monday, November 22, 2004.

She was born on December 19, 1912 to Harry and Onetta Cecelia (Staffanson) Rose.

She is survived by sons; Kevin France of Victor, Ron Hayward of Stevensville and a daughter; Nila Hopkins, in Washington. 13 grandchildren and 21 grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at the Riverside cemetery in Stevensville on Saturday, November 27, at 2:00 p.m. The Whitesitt Funeral Home and Cremation of Stevensville is in charge of arrangements.

Ladean Hamilton

Ladean Hamilton, 87, of Hamilton passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at the Marcus Daly Memorial Hospice Center. Funeral serivces will be held on Monday, November 29, at 10:00 A.M. at the Daly-Leach Chapel with Bishop Howard Recht officiating. Burial will follow at the Corvallis cemetery. A full obituary will follow.

Kenneth N. Danel

Kenneth N. Danel, 67, of Darby passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital. He was born July 5, 1937 in Galena, Kansas, the son of Raymond H. and Nellie Danel.

Ken was raised and educated in Mojave, Calif. After high school he enlisted into the US Air Force in 1955 and served until his honorable discharge in 1960.

Ken married Arlene Anderson on November 16, 1985 in Las Vegas, Nev. Together they moved to the Bitterroot Valley in 1996.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Loren Eugene Danel, Raymond Leon Danel and Richard Lewis Danel; and two sisters, Iva Jenell and Verl Dean. He is survived by his wife Arlene Danel of Darby; six sons, Robert, Steven, Rodney, Norman and Christopher all of California and Mark of Duluth, Minn.; one daughter Linda Anderson of Duluth, Minn.; two brothers, Derrel of Ogden, Utah, and Norman of Mojave, Calif.; two sisters, Mavis Evans of Hamilton and Carol Murray of Lancaster, CA; 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Services for Ken will be held on Monday, November 29, 2004, at 1 pm at the Daly-Leach Chapel with a reception following at the Hamilton Eagles Lodge.

RONALD PURKETT

Ronald E. Purkett, 76, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003, at a Lewistown nursing home of natural causes.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Montana Mental Health Nursing Care Center in Lewistown. Interment with military honors by VFW Post No. 497 will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Calvary cemetery at Havre.

Ronald was born on Sept. 2, 1926, at Troy to Sam and Bernice (Herrington) Purkett. He receive his education at Havre. Ronald served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a seiemograph operator on oil rigs.

Ronald played the guitar and enjoyed country western music.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his sisters, Gloria Brinkman of Minot, N.D., Geri Sander of Temecula, Calif., Linda Javaherian of Lancaster, Calif., and Ollie May Guy of Great Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

Creel Funeral Home of Lewistown is in charge of arrangements.

Ruby Grace Morris
