Eva Mae Ungefug
Eva Mae (Jensen) Ungefug, 87 of Billings, passed away on July 31, 2009 at The Cottages at St. John’s Lutheran Home. Eva Mae was born near Rockvale, MT, on December 1, 1921, the daughter of Antone and Lillie (Nelson) Jensen.
She attended school in Edger and graduated as a member of the class of 1939. Eva Mae went on to the Billings Deaconess Hospital to pursue her degree in nursing, receiving her Registered Nurse Certificate in 1942. She worked for a physician in Bridger, where she met her future husband, Johnny Ungefug of Belfry. They were united in marriage on January 14, 1944. Three children were added to this union, Sharon, Larry, and Sheryl.
The family resided in Belfry where they owned and operated Johnny’s Market and Locker Service. They were very active in the Belfry Community.
Due to Johnny’s failing health, the family relocated to Billings where Eva Mae went to work in Surgery at Deaconess Hospital. In 1987, she retired from her nursing career following a long tenure withe the Children’s Clinic.
Eva Mae was an excellent cook and baker, making food an important part of her family gatherings. She crocheted afghans for all her grandchildren and enjoyed entertaining and playing cards. She was proud to be a nurse and probably gave a shot to most of the children in town! She was also a caregiver for her entire family, including caring for her brothers, and filled the persona of the family Matriarch.
She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny, in 1980; her parents; and siblings, Melinda, Jim, Bud, Ray, Roy, and Harold.
Eva Mae is survived by her children, Sharon (Larry) Earhart of Powell, WY, Larry (Vickie) Ungefug of Lewistown, and Sheryl (Clayton) Scheafer of Billings. She is also survived by “Grandma’s Blessings” her grandchildren, Andrea Earhart, Erica (Jason) Earhart-Henry, Tucker (Mandy) Maroney, Abby Ungefug, Tyler Ungefug, Jennifer Scheafer, and Tyson Scheafer; and great-grandchildren, Holden and Hadley.
The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5-7 p.m., on Sunday, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 3, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment with graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M., Monday, at Rockvale cemetery.

Stuart M. Robinson
Stuart M. Robinson, 64 of Billings, passed away at his home on July 31, 2009. Stuart was born in Olympia, WA on August 7, 1944, the son of Harold and Genevieve Robinson.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held in Livingston at a later date. Michelotti-Sawyers is in charge of cremation.

James Newton Horn "Jim"
1928-2009
James “Jim” Newton Horn, 80, died on January 17, 2009 after a long illness. He was born August 19, 1928, twin with Joanne, to Thomas and Zoa Horn in Davis City, Iowa. He attended grade school in Leon, Iowa, three years of high school in Omaha, Nebraska and graduated from Pierre, South Dakota in 1946, when he joined the United States Army.
He was stationed in Austria for 14 months, returning in the spring of 1948. Jim served in Korea from 1951 to the summer of 1952, when he was honorably discharged. Jim was a member of the North Dakota National Guard until 1962. He was a member of the Army Corps of Engineers and helped in the construction of the Garrison Dam. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from North Dakota State University, Fargo.
On October 5, 1952 he married his “baby doll” Nita Dittus in Glen Ullin, North Dakota, they resided in various cities in North Dakota until they moved to Billings in 1962. Jim and Nita had four children; Tom, and wife Nancy of Cohagen, Montana; John and wife Lynne of Casper, Wyoming; LuAnn and husband Edwin Ezeonu of Broomfield, Colorado; and David and his wife Rebecca of Butte, Montana.
He worked for the Bureau of Reclamation as a hydrologist and flood study engineer, until his retirement in 1988. He loved the outdoors, especially the Beartooth Mountains, and the plains of eastern Montana, Cohagen and Jordan. He loved working with his hands whether working on cars, metal working and welding, or woodworking. With the help of his two oldest sons they built half of the family home by hand. He was kind and generous, and was always willing to help friends and family. He loved westerns, his daily crossword puzzles, chess and any mental challenge his kids could spring on him and he had a fantastic sense of humor. When Tom and John were young, he was very involved with the Boy Scouts. He loved all of the numerous family dogs and cats over the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and many close friends. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Nita of 56 years; four children and spouses; 9 grandchildren Jessica, Kirsten, Lisa (Tom) and Isaac, Vincent, and Kendra (John) and Ranita, Stephen and Christian James (LuAnn); and 6 great-grandchildren, Scott, Taylor, Logan, Jaxson, Micah and Leah. He is also survived by his sister, Joanne and husband Victor Sievers of Broomfield, CO and two nephews Bruce and Michael Schneider.
Cremation has taken place. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 20, at the Pilgrim Congregational Church, 409 South 36th Street, Billings. Reverend Michael Dooling will be presiding. His son Tom and friends, Radie Clayton from Bismarck, Reverend Lee Jackson from Miles City and Lee McCord from Douglas will be performing music that Jim and Nita loved so very much.
Jim was much loved and will be missed by all who knew him. He was a wonderful husband and a fantastic dad and a fun and caring Papa. Go with God, until we meet again! Hugs and Kisses.

Kristie Ann Reachard
1957-2007
Kristie Ann Reachard, 50 of Cody, WY, passed away on November 25, 2007 at Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana of pneumonia. She was surrounded by her loving parents Ronald and Marian Reachard and aunt and uncle Rozanne and Doug Reachard.
Kristie Ann was born April 27, 1957 in York, Pennsylvania. Shw attended Lincoln Intermediate School and was employed at R.I.T.C. as a kitchen aide. Kristie competed in the International Special Olympics in Mt Pleasant, MI in August 1975. Kristie and her parents moved to Cody, WY in August 1986. She enjoyed hunting, working on antique tractors with her uncle Doug and going to Casino’s. She was a member of Wapiti Women’s Club and attended Cody United Methodist Church.
Kristie Ann is survived by her parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Emma and Elmer Myers; her paternal grandparents Mary and Lefty Reachard; uncle Lonnie; and cousins Barry Lee and Mark Reachard.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Heart Mountain Health Care, 615 15th St, Cody, WY 82414, where Kristie Ann had resided for the past 18 months.
Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary in Billings was in charge of arrangements and cremation.

Edward 'Ed' Morton Mitchke, 75
Edward 'Ed' Morton Mitchke, 75, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. He was born in Red Lodge on July 7, 1935, to Milton C. and Peggy Lou (Morton) Mitchke. He attended kindergarten through high school in the same school of Saint Helena Cathedral, graduating in 1953. Being raised in a great Catholic family and always a believer, Ed began his work in the church at the age of 8, becoming an acolyte and, for the last 19 years, an acolyte trainer for his beloved second home, Pope John Paul II Catholic Church in Bigfork. Ed began his young life as a newspaper carrier, following in his father s footsteps, worked for the city of Helena, Husky Gas Station, while being trained as a watch repairman and engraver, then began a true career for Mountain Bell Telephone Co., installing office telephone equipment and worked his way to retirement as an engineer for AT&T; after 32 years. Going home to Montana to an unexpected early retirement, Ed repaired laser equipment and became known as Religious Ed and will forever be remembered by the students in his 10 years of religious ed classes and acolytes training classes. He loved setting the altar up and helping in anyway with his Church. In his early years, Ed also enjoyed being a Cub Scout, as well as Boy Scout leader. He was in the National Guard in Helena and then went into the Navy; later in life he became Exalted Ruler in the Elks in Denver, and most recently a Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus in Bigfork. Ed loved his family and friends, loved to go boating, loved to always help out in anyway or anyone. Ed was preceded in death by both his parents, Milton and Peggy Lou Mitchke; uncle, Chet; and aunt, Goldie Pitcher. Ed is survived by his wife, Millie, of 52 years of marriage; son, Edward Ed and wife, Christie Mitchke, of Houston; daughter, Renee and husband, Monty Howe, of Kalispell; daughter, Kathleen, and husband, Wayne Waldon, of Cloud Croft, N.M.; five grandchildren, Brooke Auston (Mitchke) Holder of Gautier, Miss., Christopher Mitchke and Geoffrey Mitchke of Pearl, Miss., Nicole Howe of Kalispell, and Edward Daniel Mitchke of Port Rush, Northern Ireland; siblings include brother, Milton Mick and his wife, Annette Mitchke, of Pine Top, Ariz.; brother, Gerald Jerry, and his wife, Kathryn Kitt Mitchke; and sister, Margaret Ann Margie, and her husband, William Bill Murray; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. today, Sept. 3. Rosary will follow at 7 p.m., and funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, both at Pope John Paul II Catholic Church, 195 Coverdale, Bigfork. A reception will follow graveside service at Pope John Paul II. The family suggests that any memorial contributions be sent to CYRO Youth, Attn: Pope John Paul II Catholic Church, 195 Coverdale Road, Bigfork, MT 59911. Josi Jean Eve, 22
Josi Jean Eve, 22, of Great Falls, left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Aug. 27, 2010. Funeral liturgy was on Aug. 31 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Great Falls. Josi passed away at home, surrounded by her family, friends and beloved pets, four years after suffering a traumatic brain injury from an auto accident on Aug. 13, 2006. Josi is survived by her father, Joseph, and Melanie, of Lakeside; her mother, Debra, and Bob Trujillo, of Great Falls; sisters and brothers, Theresa and Daniel of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Grant and Mercede of Great Falls, Kati of Billings, Lacey of Great Falls, and Miranda, Jacques and Dustin of Lakeside; her grandparents, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by an uncle, Michael John Eve. Darlene Kay Speer, 65
Darlene Kay Speer, 65, passed away, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Healthcare Northwest in Kalispell. She was born on April 17, 1945, to Ralph and Georgina Yarde. Darlene attended Flathead High School. She married Ronald A. Speer on July 1, 1967. Darlene worked at Ace Powell Bronze Foundry and enjoyed being a housewife. She loved horses, birds, donkeys, dogs, mules, miniature donkeys and horses, horseback riding, motorcycle riding, four-wheelers, painting and shopping. Darlene is survived by her husband, Ronald Speer, of Columbia Falls; son, Clint Speer, and grandson, Drew Speer, of Kalispell; son, Cory Speer, and granddaughters, Morgan Speer and Josie Speer, of Spirit Lake, Idaho; and brother, Dick Yarde, of Kalispell. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, at First Baptist Church, 6232 Hwy. 93, Whitefish, with Pastor Eugene Speer officiating. Memorial contributions may be made on Darlene s behalf to St. Jude Children s Hospital, St. Jude Children s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Randall Carlton Clements, 54
Randall Carlton Clements, 54, passed away on Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at his home in Kalispell. He was born in LaJunta, Colo., to Richard and Mary (Roberts) Clements. He was raised in Manzanola, Colo., where he attended school. Randall married Andrea Shadler on June 29, 1998, in Raton, N.M. He worked on the family farm, traveled with the family around the country shearing sheep, and had worked as a heavy duty equipment operator. He enjoyed woodworking. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother. Randall is survived by his wife, Andrea; a daughter, Rebecca Clements, of Kalispell; a stepson, Eric, and his wife, Megan Miletich; granddaughter, Katie Miletich; half brother, Kenny Purcell; brother, Sonny Clements; and sister, Tommy Clements. The family requests donations in Randall s name be made to the Flathead Valley Hockey Association, P.O. Box 2205, Kalispell, MT 59903-2205.

George Buck Reeder, Jr., 76
George Buck Reeder, Jr., 76, of Lengby, Minn., and formerly of Kalispell, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at his home after a battle with cancer. A celebration of Buck s life was held on Aug. 21 at Buck and Barb s home in Lengby. Military honors were conducted by the Lengby VFW Post No. 2759. Arrangements were with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston, Minn., and messages of condolence may be sent at www.carlinhoialmen.com. Buck is survived by his life partner, Barb Thom, of Lengby; son, Clifton, and Nancy Reeder; daughters, Christina Reeder, and CarolLee and Kid Reeder, all of the Twin Cities area; one sister, Rosalie, and Joe Manzi, of Geneva, Ohio; and a special cousin, Phyllis, and Joe Carr, of Wilmington, Del. Survivors also include stepchildren, Jody and Terry Peterson, Jerry Thom of Lengby, Jamie and Cherie Thom of Moorhead, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons George Reeder Bucko and Brian Reeder; and one granddaughter, Laura Reeder.
