Audrey Rose Leitholt
A funeral service with Communion for Audrey Rose Leitholt, 53, of Aberdeen, S.D., former Miles City resident, was held Wednesday morning, April 19, 2006, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1015 N. Highway 281 in Aberdeen with the Rev. Tony Haglund officiating. Burial followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen.
She died Friday, April 14, 2006, at her residence.
Born May 30, 1952, at Miles City, she was the daughter of Edward and Rose Marie Mackin Leitholt. She attended school in Aberdeen and graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1970.
After graduating from Northwest College of Commerce in Huron, S.D., in 1971, she began working at Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City and continued her employment there until 1975.
She then became employed at Mother Joseph Manor in Aberdeen from 1975 until 1978. She then started her career at 3M, where she was employed at the time of her death.
A member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, she served as the chairperson of the Altar Guild. She also was a member of the 3M Club and was an avid bingo enthusiast. She especially had a dear love for her two toy poodles, Sissy and Lacey, who captured much of her spare time.
Her survivors include her brother, Lyle E. (Kathy) Leitholt of Columbus, Ind.; her sister, Jane (Don) Hall of Bridgeport, Texas; her godsons, Scott Woodward and Cody Merkel; seven nephews, Cody Leitholt of Austin, Texas, Jim Cavanaugh of Jersey City, N.J., Rick Keating of North Bend, Ore., Mike Woodward of Altamonte Springs, Fla., Steve Woodward of Wildwood, N.J., Dan Woodward of Temecula, Calif., and Rob Keating of Keller, Texas; and one niece, Patricia Virgil of San Antonio, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Rose Leitholt; and one sister, Judy Cavanaugh.
Memorials are preferred to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Miller Huebl Funeral Home at 1111 South Main St., Aberdeen, S.D. 57401 was in charge of arrangements.

Mary Louise "Mary Lou" Kimball
Mary Louise “Mary Lou” Kimball, 87, of Miles City died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, in Miles City.
She was born in Hysham to Peter and Clarice VanHemelryck, who both emigrated to Hysham from Belgium. She grew up in Hysham, graduated from Hysham High School and briefly attended college at the University of Montana.
In 1947, she married Edward “Eddie” Kimball after he returned from World War II and Sept. 13, 2013, they celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary.
While living in Hysham, they had five boys (John, Rich, Jerry, Jim and Dale) and a girl (Colette). Mrs. Kimball was busy on the farm raising the children, then in 1963, Mr. Kimball and she moved the family to Miles City where they enrolled the children in Sacred Heart School.
Mrs. Kimball soon became involved with the Catholic Church and she volunteered in the St. Francis Circle and other activities with the parish. While in Miles City, they added another child (Scott) to the ever growing household. Mrs. Kimball was a bookkeeper for a few businesses in town and she managed the accounting for Kimball Realty.
In 1984, Mr. and Mrs. Kimball purchased the Town Market in Hysham and spent time driving between Miles City and Hysham for a few years before settling back in Miles City.
Mrs. Kimball was a great wife and mother. She had a great sense of humor and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Some of her favorite times were when she had all the children over for weekly lunch at her house. She cooked homemade chicken and noodles, and her crescent rolls disappeared quickly during the holidays.
Her survivors include her husband, Edward of Miles City; sons, John (Bobbin) of Stevensville, Rich of Anchorage, Alaska, Jerry (Carolyn), Jim (Kristy) and Dale, all of Miles City and Scott (Angeline) of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; daughter, Colette (David) Harris, of Miles City; brother, Al (Jane) of Klamath Falls, Ore.; and sister, Patsy Manning of Casa Grande, Ariz.
She also had 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. A vigil will follow the visitation on Friday at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at 10 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Church, followed by interment in the Calvary cemetery. At noon a lunch will be hosted by the family at the Range Riders Museum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sacred Heart Music Ministry by calling the parish office, 120 N. Montana Ave., Miles City, MT 59301.

Ardella Notbohm
Ardella Notbohm, 97, of Minot, N.D., formerly of Mohall, N.D., and Drake, N.D., died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, in a Minot Nursing Home.
Mrs. Notbohm was born Nov. 14, 1915, on the family farm near Balfour, N.D., the daughter of Ernest and Anna Schimmel Nehrenberg. She was raised on the family farm and graduated from Balfour High School in 1934.
On July 8, 1936, she and Carl Notbohm were united in marriage at Balfour. They made their home on a farm in the Drake/Ballfour area, where they raised small grains and cattle. They moved into Drake in 1955, where they owned and operated Carl’s Red Owl grocery store for several years. They retired and moved to Mohall. Mr. Notbohm died in 1997. Mrs. Notbohm later moved to Minot.
While living in Drake they were members of the Drake United Methodist Church, then transferred their membership to Mohall when they moved there. While living in Minot, Mrs. Notbohm attended Our Redeemers Church.
She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Hospitality was a real gift for Mr. and Mrs. Notbohm, as they enjoyed entertaining people in their home throughout the years.
Her survivors include sons, Ron (Rochelle) Notbohm of Bothell, Wash., Vern (DeeAnn) Notbohm of Minot and Chuck (Mary) Notbohm of Miles City; grandchildren, Rodell Notbohm, Ryan (Rebecca) Notbohm, Nick (Amy) Notbohm, LyNelle (Trent) Sherven, Chad (Janelle) Notbohm, Brady (Amy) Notbohm and Rachel ( Brian) Welsh; and great-grandchildren, Kelsey Hladik, Juli Hladik, Cordelia Notbohm, Ivy Notbohm, Rayanne Notbohm, Rokiah Notbohm, Emma Notbohm, Lydia Notbohm, Isaac Sherven, Ella Sherven, Alivia Sherven, Jace Notbohm, Natalie Notbohm, Brynn Notbohm, Paige Notbohm, Blake Notbohm, and Levi Welsh.
Mrs. Notbohm was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a niece, Linda Wilson, whom she raised as her daughter.
A Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Notbohm will be Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at 2 p.m. in Our Redeemers Church in Minot. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Minot.
Memorials are preferred to the organization of the donor’s choice.

Elvina "Ellie" Stokke Galland
Elvina “Ellie” Stokke Galland, 88, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at the Prairie County Hospital in Terry.
She was born in Plaza, N.D., on Oct. 27, 1924, to John and Ellen Stokke. When she was three months old, her mother died. She came to Outlook and was raised by an uncle and aunt, John and Rachel Emilson. She had one brother, Merlyn, who was two years older and preceded her in death. She grew up with two foster brothers, Orrin and Arthur Kleppen, and attended school in Outlook.
On March 14, 1943, she and Orris Galland were married in Muskogee, Okla. When Mr. Galland came out of the service in 1945 they farmed the Bill Reid place for six years.
In 1952, they bought an irrigated farm at Fallon. Four children were raised on this place: Janette, Margaret, Dale and Connie.
After Mr. Galland died in 1986, Mrs. Galland continued living on the farm as son Dale took over and helped. Mrs. Galland drove the beet truck, silage truck and whatever needed done. She always had the coffee pot on, homemade cake, or cookies for anyone who stopped by.
Mrs. Galland would fly to Florida every two or three years to spend time with her brother and his family.
In 1997 the farm was sold and Mrs. Galland moved to Terry. Her days were busy. She enjoyed working at the Prairie Unique gift shop with “Montana Made” things and hobby items. She enjoyed going to coffee every morning with the ladies at the Senior Citizens Center. There were birthday parties to attend and card playing every Saturday night at the center. Every Friday night a group of ladies known as the “Prairie Chicks” ate out.
Mrs. Galland served on the Prairie County Election Board and Council on Aging. She was a longtime member of the LWML and Prairie County Hospital Guild. She enjoyed the Senior Center dinners twice a week, attending church in Fallon each Sunday, and spending one day a week during the winter quilting at the church.
Her survivors include one son: Dale (Kathy) Galland of Fallon; three daughters: Margie (Bill) Feickert of Terry, Connie (Tom) Young of Plentywood and Jan (Glenn) Bryant of Avondale, Ariz.; two sisters-in-law, Jackie (Bob) Galland of Plentywood and Milly (Merlyn) Stokke of Albia, Iowa; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, from 1 to 7 p.m. at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Terry. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Fallon.
Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Prairie County Hospital Foundation or to the Prairie County Ambulance.

Robert Lee "Bob" Schultz
Robert Lee “Bob” Schultz, 83, of Terry died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at the Eastern Montana Veterans Home in Glendive.
His survivors include his wife, Lucille; six children, Deborah and Tim Carter, Bill and Sue Schultz, Jeanette and Gene Davis, Daniel and Toni Schultz, Linda Robo, Brenda and Brent Dick; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Now Mr. Schultz and his brother, Tom, are happy because the dogs are all loaded, lunch and coffee are in the pickup. They are off to another great day of tracking a big bear or finding that one good rock.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Terry.

Robert A. Andersen
Robert A. Andersen, 67, died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013.
Mr. Andersen was born Feb. 19, 1946, in Lewistown, the son of Peter and Vivian Andersen. He attended schools in Lewistown, graduating from Fergus High School in 1964. He then attended Montana State University in Bozeman, graduating with a degree in agriculture education in 1968.
He taught in Forsyth for five years and then worked for the Federal Crop Insurance from 1973 to 1993. In 1993 he went to work for Aid Association for Lutherans in Glendive. He was still employed with Thriven Financial for Lutherans at the time of his death.
Mr. Andersen married Sheila Martinek while in Forsyth and they later divorced. He married Johanna Duffner on Jan. 2, 1993, in Lewistown. Mr. Andersen was in the process of retiring and moving back to Lewistown from Glendive.
He was active at Our Savior Lutheran Church and the Kiwanis club in Glendive. He also was an active member of the Lutheran Laymen’s League.
His survivors include his mother, Vivian of Lewistown; his wife, Johanna of Lewistown; daughter, Cindy Andersen and son, Dan Andersen, both of Billings; step-sons, Joe McGuire of Chicago, Ill., and Patrick McGuire of Santa Monica, Calif.; one sister, Pat Johnson of Indianapolis, Ind.; three brothers, Larry of Billings, Don of Helena and Pete of Lewistown; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at 2 p.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lewistown with interment to follow in the Lewistown City cemetery. The Cloyd Funeral Home of Lewistown is assisting the family.
Friends are asked to make memorials to the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Lutheran Ministries or the charities of their choices and they may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home.

LeRoy Biesheuvel
LeRoy Biesheuvel, 70, of Broadus, died on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at the Ft. Meade Veterans Hospital after fighting an aggressive brain cancer for four years.
Mr. Biesheuvel was born just over the line into North Dakota on May 13, 1943. He spent his first nine years near Pollock, S.D., and then moved to the Black Hills. He joined the United States Army in 1962 and was stationed for a time in Germany.
He and Katheryne Hart Englebert were married on Aug. 27, 1967, and he enrolled in nurses training. After several years as a surgical nurse at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Ft. Meade, S.D., he enrolled in physician assistant school in 1983 and graduated in 1984.
The couple and two of their children then moved to Broadus where LeRoy provided medical care at the Powder River Clinic for more than 25 years. Nearly all that time, he was the only medical care in the county. Do people in heaven need medical care? No, but if they did, they would be waiting a turn to see Mr. Biesheuvel and receive his advice, his great diagnosing skills, and best of all, his hugs.
Mr. Biesheuvel was a lifetime member of Jackpine Gypsy Motorcycle Club, who founded the Sturgis Rally; Powder River Masonic Lodge No. 135 in Broadus; Olive Branch Lodge No. 47 in Sturgis, S.D.; the Naja Shrine; The Scottish Rite, Matopaha Chapter 98 of the Order of the Eastern Star in Sturgis, National Rifle Association, PRC-UCC, American Motorcycle Association, American Academy of Physician Assistants and Montana Academy of Physician Assistants.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathy; son, Rod (Lucy) Englebert of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; daughter, Trina (Charlie) Wheeler of Piedmont, S.D.; son, Rich of Broadus; step-daughter, Charlotte (Mitch) Hildebrant of Nelspruit, South Africa; grandsons, Christopher Wheeler and Colton Biesheuvel; granddaughters, Samantha Ricci and Kaylie Wheeler; two step-grandsons, David and Joey (Jennifer) Rivera of California; former daughter-in-law, Cassy Biesheuvel of Whitewood, S.D.; and numerous nieces, nephews and their children.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sister.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Broadus. Memorial services will be Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Powder River High School Gymnasium in Broadus. For those who wish, the family is asking those who attend Mr. Biesheuvel’s services to wear colorful clothing to help celebrate his life. Interment will be at a later date.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the LeRoy Biesheuvel Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o 1st Bank of Sidney in Broadus, to help future students further their educations in medicine.

Jean E. Fleming
Jean E. Fleming, 82, of Miles City died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, in Miles City.
She was born on Nov. 1, 1930, in Lewistown to Bernt and Ona Hanson, who lived east of Winifred on the Missouri River. They moved to the Bitterroot Valley for a short time in 1937 and then back to Winifred where she finished the third grade. They moved to Kinsey in 1940 when the irrigation project was just beginning where she finished grade school and graduated from Custer County High School in 1949.
She worked at Montgomery Ward and Schultz Electric until her mother became ill in 1950, when she went home to help her father and brother take care of her and the farm for two years.
In 1952, she went to work for the telephone company and was married to Douglas Fleming on Sept. 2, 1952, in Sheridan, Wyo.
She gave birth to a son, Flint, in 1953. During her marriage to Mr. Fleming, they lived in California, Arizona and back to Montana then on to Rapid City, S.D. Before going to Rapid City, they purchased their first ranch at Rosebud in 1958. They moved to Rapid City in 1959 and Mr. Fleming founded the Stockman National Life Insurance Company. In Rapid City, Mrs. Fleming was a homemaker and assisted her husband in the company’s activities.
During this time Mr. and Mrs. Fleming, along with their partner Albert Phelps, purchased another ranch in Glendive. The ranch at Rosebud produced mainly bucking bulls and horses, while the ranch at Glendive was commercial cattle. Mr. and Mrs. Fleming were partners with Mr. Phelps in a variety of business adventures over the years.
In 1968, Mr. and Mrs. Fleming moved back to Rosebud with Mr. Fleming dying in 1973. She operated the ranch until 1976 when she moved to Miles City.
In 1978 she married Wayne Morford and they opened a western store, Morford’s Tog’s and Tack. She had purchased some land in the Pine Hills and together they built a very nice home there. In 1988 she went through some troubling financial times. She lost her interest in the Glendive ranch, the Pine Hills home and sold out Morford’s Tog’s and Tack. In 1990 she moved back into town, after that she worked at the desk at the Olive Hotel, Sandhills Sewing and was a secretary at many ropings and rodeos.
A woman who could do almost anything, she was an excellent cook, loved to can and freeze foods, an expert seamstress, where she made everything from western shirts to centennial dresses along with crocheting, quilting and craft making of all kinds. She also played the piano and organ throughout her life.
In 2003, she moved to Friendship Villa in Miles City. While there she continued her sewing and crafts and performed alterations for many people. She kept this up until her health deteriorated the last six months.
Her survivors include her brother, Rex Hanson of Hathaway; son, Flint Fleming of Miles City; niece, Ginger Nangle (Mike) of Tucson, Ariz., and their daughter, Sara; nephew, Wade Fleming of Miles City and his son, Kyle; cousins, Tom Ford of Winifred, Vicki Ford Elhert (Robert) and their children, Abby, Carmen and Barry of Winifred; Walt Tadsen (Linda) and their children, Cody and Casey of Forsyth; and two special friends, Joan Berg of Livingston and Nancy Hirsch of Miles City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doug; and parents, Bernt and Ona Hanson.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Range Riders Museum’ Pioneer Memorial Hall. Interment will be at a later date in the Forsyth cemetery.
Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements.

Dorothy M. Hinman
Dorothy M. Hinman, 90, of Billings, formerly of Miles City, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at the Billings Clinic from complications from an operation.
Mrs. Hinman was born on Sept. 19, 1922, in Lisbon, N.D., the daughter of Lawrence and Gladys Smith. She attended grade school in Timmer, N.D., and graduated from Solen North Dakota High School.
On Jan. 20, 1940, she and Richard Hinman were married in Flasher, N.D. Throughout her life she drove truck with her husband, Richard, and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Ellen Waddell, Elaine Moore, Rick Hinman and Rod Hinman.
Graveside services will be Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Custer County cemetery in Miles City.
Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements.
