Ginny was born in Ballinger, Texas, on March 12, 1932. At two months old her family moved to Abilene where they lived until she was fourteen. The summer before her freshman year in high school, her father, a journeyman electrician, took a job in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. Ginny spent her freshman year of high school at Eugene High before the family moved to Corvallis, Montana.

As her many friends know, Ginny's greatest love was the theatre. At Corvallis High she became very active in drama. Later at Oregon State University, and then the University of Montana she majored in drama and was the lead in numerous theatrical productions. Ginny placed a great deal of value on the friendships she made in Corvallis and felt blessed to be able to attend her 50 year high school class reunion this past summer before falling ill.

After college, Ginny moved to San Francisco to pursue a career in television. As production manager for SPI Television Productions she helped produce many programs including "King Norman Presents." She also spent four years with the Berkeley Theatre Group and was accepted by the Actor's Workshop. To no one's surprise, Ginny's voice earned her second place in NBC's "Most Beautiful Voice in America" contest.

While in college her parents moved to Havre. Ginny was an only child and very close to her parents, so after establishing herself in San Francisco she followed them to Havre and began work at the local radio station KOJM. There she met Dick Pulis, a handsome, charming, blue-eyed farm boy from Ronan. After some confusion about Dick's marital status (centering around a Mason ring) they quickly fell in love and have been deeply dedicated to each other for nearly 41 years (Jan. 30 is Dick and Ginny's 41st anniversary). Four children followed while the family moved following Dick's career from Havre to Glasgow, and then to Spokane, Colfax and Helena before settling in Hamilton. Ginny was a devoted mother, yet found the time to remain involved in theatre and broadcasting over the years and also served as manager of the Bitterroot Valley Chamber of Commerce in Hamilton.

In 1985, Dick and Ginny moved to Moses Lake, Wash. where she became involved with another love - animals - and served on the Humane Society Board. Then in 1989, she was appointed director of the Columbia Basin Allied Arts. Her time with the CBAA in many ways, was the most fulfilling time of her life. Ginny was also very involved with Soroptimists and was instrumental in the creation of the MAC. As with everywhere she lived, while in Moses Lake, Ginny made many great friends and touched many lives.

She is preceded in death by her father, Roy Gripple; mother Mattie; and son, Kirk.

Survivors include her husband Dick; son, David of Moses Lake; two daughters, Lynn Garza of Federal Way and Megan Pulis of Moses Lake; and five grandchildren, Jacob, Lucas, Matthew, Amanda and Grace.
