Walter E. “Woody” Woodward of Helena, 33, died suddenly on Jan. 20, 2005.

Ailene Ragsdale
Ailene Ragsdale of Helena, 90, passed away Jan. 24, 2005, at Big Sky Care Center. She was born on April 23, 1914, in Marion, Ill., the youngest of five children. She married Everett Ragsdale and they moved to Montana, where they raised four children.

Don R. Hagler
Don passed away peacefully at age 83 in Reno, Nev., on Jan. 13, 2005, surrounded by the love of his family.

Haley Rae Allen
Haley Rae Allen was born in Helena on July 16, 1977. She grew up in the Clancy area and graduated as valedictorian from Jefferson High School in 1995. Haley excelled at everything she tried—basketball, volleyball and track. She was smart and witty and shared the joys of life with her younger sister Mikel.

Marguerite Dean
Marguerite Dean was born June 20, 1927, in rural Decatur, Neb., to Ira and Ethel (Connealy) Austin. Befitting her faith-based life, she passed away on Christmas morning, 2004, in Helena after a courageous four-month battle with cancer.

Walter C. 'Bud' Sutheimer
Walter C. "Bud" Sutheimer, 81, passed away unexpectedly at home on Dec. 14, 2004.

Mary Ann Robinson
Mary Ann Robinson, 66, died of natural causes at her home in Helena on Dec. 20, 2004. She was born on Feb. 26, 1938, in Bottineau, N.D., to Joseph and Naomi Galvin and raised by her grandmother, Auntie Mil, Joseph and Mildred until she set out on her own.

Mary H. Clemo
Mary H. Clemo of Helena, 91, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at St. Peter’s Hospital.

Gerret Ouldhouse
Gerret “Boe” Ouldhouse, 85, died Nov. 18, 2004, at his home in Sun City, Ariz. He was born to Gerret and Della Ouldhouse in a sod-covered cabin on April 24, 1919, on the upper reaches of the Snake River near present-day Rigby, Idaho, the oldest of four children. He was raised in Anaconda.

Leah R. Tibbles
Leah R. Tibbles of Helena passed away Saturday evening, Dec. 4, 2004, at St. Peter’s Hospital. Leah Roberta Garrison was born to Robert L. and Vera Garrison on Feb. 10, 1912, in Hastings, Neb. She attended Hastings High School and Hastings Prespe College. She taught school in Holstein and Doniphen high schools.

Margaret Dickey Greiner
Margaret Dickey Greiner "snuffed out" (in her own words) on Dec. 3, 2004. Margaret was born Jan. 18, 1910, to Ellis Smith Dickey and Gertrude Case Dickey in Kalispell. She attended schools in Kalispell and graduated from Flathead High School in 1927. She then earned a degree in economics from the University of Washington.

William S. Johnson
William S. “Bill” Johnson of Helena, 79, got his big transfer from the VA Hospital at Fort Harrison to God’s Heavenly Home on Monday, Nov. 29, 2004.

Emil P. Eschenburg
Emil Paul Eschenburg died Nov. 25, 2004, at the VA Medical Center at Fort Harrison. He was born Dec. 26, 1915, in Mount Clemens, Mich., to Paul Fredrick and Ella Marie (Weise) Eschenburg, one of seven children.

Marjorie L. Streeter
Marjorie Lelia Streeter went to be with the Lord on Nov. 6, 2004, at the Rocky Mountain Care Center.

James E. Bell
James E. Bell of Jefferson City and Helena, 68, passed on to a better life on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at St. Peter’s Hospital after a second, but brief, struggle with cancer.

Jack O'Leary
Jack O’Leary passed away at sunset on Nov. 10, 2004, in the home shared with his longtime dearest friend, Pat Wall.

Edwin G. Kellner
Eddie would go the distance, be it more than 5,700 miles in the swimming pool or to his 90th birthday, and he knew when he had accomplished his goals. He died on Nov. 8, 2004, after sharing some stories and laughs with family and friends.

Joel Dyer
Joel E. Dyer, 61, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000, at his home in Libby, victim of an apparent heart attack.
He was born on Jan 7, 1939 in a Naval Hospital at Bremerton, Wash., to Robert and Clara Dyer.
He attended schools in Idaho and after high school he joined the U.S. Marines, serving his country for two years.
Joel met Patricia Barnhart in 1992 and they were married on June 15, 1995, at the Hitchin’ Post in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
He was employed as a nurse, enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking and baking. Joel was well liked and willing to help.
Survivors include his wife Patricia Dyer, Libby; step-son Keith Barnhart, Shelby; sister Barbara Calvert and her husband Milo, Washtucna, Wash.; aunt Margaret and her husband Gene of Spokane, nieces Jewel Wise, Washtucna and Karolyn Tilse, Monroe, Wash., nephews Bob Calvert, Seattle, and Steve Calvert and his wife Amy, Oroville, Wash., and numerous cousins.
Private family services will be conducted.
Local arrangements are by Nelson & Vial Funeral Home.

Jerome Roberts
Former Libby resident Jerome Franklin Roberts, 93, died Sept. 26, 2000, at his home in Shelton, Wash.
He was born on Nov. 15, 1906, at Waybay, S.D., to Fred and Minnie Gustafson Roberts.
A Jehovah’s Witness minister, Roberts pastored congregations in Shelton, in Pinehurst and St. Marie’s Idaho and Wayne, Neb.
He was a zealous advocate for the Kingdom of God, convinced it would solve all mankind’s problems. He was truly loved by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by wives Ethel Hanson and Delsie Mae Worsfeld.
Suvvivors include son Lance and his wife Charlotte Roberts, Kennewick, Wash.; daughters Virginia and her husband Lawrence O’Bleness, Libby, and Donna Dolton, Shelton; sister Rosie Stowe, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, in the Kingdom Hall in Shelton..

Allen Coffman
Allen L. Coffman, 83, of Libby, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2000, at the Fort Benton home of a granddaughter.
He was born on Sept. 25, 1916, in the rural Conrad area, where he was raised and educated. He married Mary Heun at Conrad in 1954 and they moved to Libby in 1962.
Allen worked as a carpenter and lived in Libby until July 2000, when he moved to Fort Benton to live with granddaughter Kimberly Naeseth.
Allen enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1992, daughter Lorna and three granddaughters, Nikki Coffman, Linda Thom and Elizabeth Coffman.
Survivors include daughter Cheryl Blinco of Libby; sons William Coffman, Great Falls, and Roger Coffman, Libby; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Benton Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
