L. Jordan Peck

MISSOULA - L. Jordan Peck died at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, 1998, at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula.

L. Jordan Peck was born on May 12, 1948, in Abington, Pa.

Jordan is survived by a son John David Walters; a brother, Keith Rosemery; her two cats, Sissie and Lefty; her dog Mona; and her chosen family of friends.

Jordan moved to Missoula from New Jersey in 1989. She was a painter and astrologer, and her work continues enriching the lives of many. In the past years, as Jordan experienced living and dying with cancer, her counsel and insight have touched many in profound and unforgettable ways.

Always walking a spiritual path with deep intention, Jordan's Buddhist practice and dharma community provided her with a wellspring of faith and strength. Jordan drew around herself a circle of friends who support and sustain her through this last transition, and beyond.

We remember Jordan as a woman of humor, compassion, courage and amazing love for life and beauty. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the Malletta Family of Funeral Homes, Squire Chapel, 3035 S. Russell St. The chapel will be open for prayer and meditation Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
