JoAnn Rose (Josie) Bohn
JoAnn Rose (Josie) Bohn, 68, of Winnett, died early Tuesday morning at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Wash., following a short illness. She was born July 3, 1937, in Malta, Mont., the daughter of Joseph and Phyllis (Rukavina) Johnson.Funeral services for JoAnn (Josie) Bohn were Monday, June 19 with interment to follow in Central Montana Memorial Gardens. The Cloyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Timothy Gordon Kaufman
Tim Kaufman 40, of Aurora, Colo., was tragically taken from family and friends on June 12, 2006. Timothy Gordon Kaufman was born May 30, 1966, the son of Gordon and Kay (Ellis) Kaufman in Lewistown, the fourth of five children. Funeral services for Tim Kaufman was Saturday, June 17 in the First Presbyterian Church, with cremation to follow the services. The Cloyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Friends are asked to make memorials to the Tim Kaufman Memorial Fund or to the charity of their choice. Memorials may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home.

Forrest G. Parker
Forrest G. Parker, a resident of Lyons, Ore., died Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at his home. He was 63 years old. Mr. Parker was born April 17, 1943, in Lewistown. He was the son of Alma L. and Hattie F. (Palmer) Parker. Memorial funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 22 at 1 p.m., in the Assembly of God Church, Santiam Chapel, in Lyons, Ore. Pastor Bruce Swanson will officiate at the services. Memorials in his memory may be directed to the Assembly of God Church, Santiam Chapel, in Lyons. Weddle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Thad H. Talcott
Thad H. Talcott, 77, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2006, after an extended battle with cancer. He was born and raised in Livingston. He attended college in Bozeman until going into the Air Force. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, June 6, at Desert Dove Chapel, Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Thad’s name.

Ashley Helen Hanley
Ashley Helen Hanley, 20, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., was involved in an automobile accident on Oct. 1, 2006, and died on Oct. 2. Ashley is the daughter of Mark E. Hanley of Maiden and Anita B. Hanley of Nashville, Tenn. She was born Dec. 3, 1985, in Livingston. Memorial services were held at the Hendersonville Memory Gardens in Hendersonville, Tenn., on Friday, Oct. 6, 2006.

Ellen Rose Leary
Ellen Rose Leary, 77, former Lewistown resident, passed away Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, at her home in Montana City after an extended illness. Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 9 at the Retz Funeral Home Chapel in Helena, with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens cemetery in Helena. Ellen was born Feb. 2, 1929, in Helena, the daughter of William Lutey and Mable (Tufte) Lutey. She was the middle child of 10 children. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Noel B. Rawls, M.D.
Dr. Noel B. Rawls, retired physician, died peacefully at his home in Spokane, Wash., on Oct. 3, 2006, at the age of 90. Noel was born Oct. 20, 1915, and was raised in Lewistown. A funeral service was held on Friday, Oct. 13 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 11801 S.E. Mount Scott Blvd., Portland, OR. Interment will be at Willamette National cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Central Montana Foundation, Lewistown Boy Scouts Trust Fund, PO Box 334, Lewistown, MT 59457, or Hospice of Spokane, PO Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99210.

Kenneth R. “Roy” Twiford
Kenneth R. “Roy” Twiford, 51, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, at his residence in Utica due to complications of an epileptic seizure. Ken was born Feb. 14, 1955, in Lewistown, to Kenneth W. and Barbara (Keating) Twiford. Graveside services was held at Utica cemetery on Saturday, Oct. 14. Memorials are suggested to the Utica Museum or to the Utica Women’s Club Scholarship Fund. Creel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Jerry Bardwell
Jerry (Leroy Charles) Bardwell, 90, passed away Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at the Central Montana Medical Center Skilled Nursing Center in Lewistown following a short illness. He was born in Lewistown on June 22, 1916, one of four children of Margaret and Leroy Charles Bardwell, Sr. Jerry’s wishes were to be cremated and to have his ashes spread in Alpine Gulch. This will be arranged at a later time and may include a memorial service in Lewistown. Information can be requested from Cindy Fanska, 201 H Street, Apt. D, Petaluma, CA 94952. Memorials are suggested to Central Montana Hospice.

Margaret A. Trube Parker
With dignity and grace, and her family by her side, Margaret A. Trube Parker, 76, passed away Nov. 2, 2006, after a long courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Margaret was born Oct. 19, 1930, in Forsyth to Vera and Deryl Trube. A celebration of Margaret’s life will be on Nov. 18 at 1 p.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Lame Deer. All family and friends are welcome. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Grogan Funeral Home and Crematory of Polson. Memorials in Margaret Parker’s name should be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.groganfuneralhome.com.

Gladys Marie Jeffery Schmauch
Gladys Marie Jeffery Schmauch, 95, formerly of St. Ignatius and Denton, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2006, of natural causes. Gladys was born Jan. 11, 1911, in Stanford. At her request cremation has taken place. Interment took place Oct. 14 at Pleasantview cemetery in St. Ignatius.

Joe C. Wicks
Joe C. Wicks, 82, died Saturday afternoon, Nov. 4, 2006, at the Central Montana Skilled Nursing Center with his family by his side. Joe was the only child of M.L. and Eleanor (Clegg) Wicks, born on July 8, 1924, in Lewistown, and grandson of Fergus County Pioneers John T. and Grace Clegg, who settled on Spring Creek in 1882. Joe requested no services and wanted people to know “I loved my family, I kept my word and honored my debts.” Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Cloyd Funeral Home. Friends are asked to make memorials to the First Presbyterian Church or the charity of their choice and the memorials may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home.

Margaret L. Emswiler
Margaret Lucille Emswiler of Billings was delivered to her Lord on Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, surrounded by her immediate family and close friends after a long and debilitating illness. Margy was born in Lewistown on Aug. 19, 1927, and lived with her parents, Joseph and Vinette Fabian. Her celebration of life will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22. Contributions can be made to Rocky Mountain Hospice, St. Andrews Presbyterian Church or the charity of one’s choice. Cremation or Funeral Gallery has charge of arrangements.

Katherine E. Huffine
Memorial services for Katherine E. Huffine will be at First Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Dec. 23 at 11 a.m. Inurnment will be at the Lewistown City cemetery prior to the service. Katherine, 98, longtime Lewistown resident, died Nov. 9, 2006 at the Central Montana Skilled Nursing Center. Creel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dr. Steve Berberet
Dr. Steve Berberet of Lewistown passed away Monday, June 25 at Central Montana Medical Center of cancer. There will be a funeral mass on Saturday, June 30 at 11 a.m. at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Lewistown. A gathering with lunch will follow at Frank Day Park.

Delbert L. Coughlin
Delbert L. Coughlin, 77, of Lewistown and former Bellevue, Wash., resident, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2007, of natural causes in the Central Montana Skilled Nursing Center in Lewistown. Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Elaine Hardy Glass
Elaine Hardy Glass, 61, of Denton, died Wednesday afternoon, June 20, 2007, of cancer at the Central Montana Medical Center in Lewistown. Memorial services for Elaine Hardy Glass will be Monday, June 25 at 11 a.m. in the Denton Community Center. Cremation has taken place; the Cloyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Steven Michael Hill
Steven Michael Hill, 50, passed away June 19, 2007, at Bay Area Hospital, Coos Bay, Ore., from congestive heart failure. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, June 28 at Retz Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens cemetery at the foot of his sister’s grave. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to Camp Huff and Puff, Lost and Foundation, 517 Knight St., Helena, 59601; SII Helena Fire Tower Fund, P.O. Box 1216, Helena, 59604; or the charity of the donor’s choice.Family and friends are invited to attend a reception and celebration of Steve’s life at the Eagles Lodge on Fee Street following the memorial service.

Karen Yuill ‘Kay’ Jackson
Karen Yuill “Kay” Jackson, 68, died Saturday evening, June 23, 2007, at the Central Montana Medical Center in Lewistown following a lengthy illness.Graveside services will be held at Lewistown City cemetery on Wednesday, June 27 at 1 p.m. Viewing and visitation will be at the Creel Funeral Home on Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. until noon.Following the graveside service, a reception will be held at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church. Memorials are suggested to Central Montana Hospice, 629 NE Main, Lewistown, MT 59457, or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Creel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Marion Tripp, 83, passed away in her sleep at Valley Vista Manor in Lewistown on Wednesday, June 20, 2007. Services will be held at the Tripp Family cemetery near Flatwillow on Saturday, June 30, at 3 p.m.

William ‘Bill’ Fredrick Peck
William "Bill" Fredrick Peck, 85, passed away at his home in Billings on Wednesday, June 13, 2007.Because of the outstanding care and attention Bill received during the final stages of his life, the family requests memorials be sent to Rocky Mountain Hospice of Billings. Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on Father's Day, Sunday, June 17, at the Judith Gap cemetery.
