She lived a long and happy life filled with love and so much laughter. She was born July 25, 1941 to Ralph & Eva Bowman. As the youngest daughter of 9 children, she had an amazing childhood. Growing up in Valier, she had many cherished memories of her family, and how her parents raised them in a loving home, filled with laughter and lots of fun. She later met the love of her life, Herb, and was married November 30, 1957. As a young bride, she started working right away as the camp cook for all the farm hands on the Arbie Leech farm north of Valier. They were a lucky bunch to have had such a fantastic cook preparing their meals. Thus began the start of their lives together where they lived in Libby, Drummond, Cascade, Malta, finally settling in Conrad with their two boys in 1971. Finishing school was important to her and she reached that goal in 1970. Edna started waitressing, then later on started cleaning for St. Michael’s parish. She loved to bring out the Murphy’s Oil Soap, polish the pews and pretend she was like the ladies in the commercial. She finally gave up her job there to do the books for their construction company, which she continued to do as long as she possibly could. She was an extremely talented woman with a strong faith in The Lord. She loved to paint, sew, craft and crochet. She had many fun memories of their time camping, snowmobiling, & fishing. She loved spending her days with her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She never missed any of their activities if she could help it, and was their biggest fan. Edna loved her family more than anything, and was always there when she was needed. She always showed such selfless and unconditional love for all of her family and friends. Edna loved being a snowbird, and looked so forward to when she could fly south to Yuma for the winter to be with her cherished family and friends. So many memories were made, and she talked about her times there with such love and laughter. There is a big hole in our hearts as we miss our precious Edna, but we take comfort in knowing she will always be with us as we cherish the beautiful memories she left behind.
