Terry O'Neill Barber
July 13, 2016

Terry O’Neill Barber, 72, of Coffee Creek, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at a local hospital.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at O’Connor Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2016 at O’Connor Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday at Hillcrest cemetery in Denton, MT. O’Connor Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Terry Maureen O’Neill was born to Howard and Margaret O’Neill on November 21, 1943. She attended a one room school in Sullivan Valley until 8th grade and graduated from Sims High School in 1961. Terry was a National Merit Scholar Finalist. She attended MSC graduating in 1965 with a Chemistry major.
Terry taught school in Choteau and Rawlings, Wyoming. She began graduate school in 1967 at University of Washington and received a master’s in clinical therapy. Terry was a supervisor at Seattle Day Center for 6 years.
In 1971 her son, Patrick, was born. She returned to Montana to work at Golden Triangle Mental Health. In 1983 she married Larry Barber and moved to Coffee Creek where she loved her animals and flowers and, most of all, her books which she read over and over. Reading was her true love.
Terry is survived by her husband, Larry Barber; sons Patrick Ferrell, Craig Barber, and Doug Barber; sisters Bonnie Duerr, Joan Drevecky, and Susan Bronec; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be given to the Central Montana Foundation, c/o Farmers State Bank, Denton, MT 59430.

Melba L Booth
July 19, 2016

Melba Laurel (Joslin) Booth, 92 of Great Falls, a retired business owner and homemaker, died in her sleep on July 19, 2016 at her home.
At Mom’s request, there will be no services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of O’Connor Funeral Home.
Melba was born on August 25, 1923 in Landusky, MT to Ora P. and Nellie Winifred (Erickson) Joslin. She attended Hays Elementary School and graduated from Chinook High School in Chinook, MT in 1940. She married Fred V. Booth on October 20, 1941. They remained together until his death on September 9, 1991. Together they raised four daughters and worked in their dry cleaning and clothing business in Fort Benton until their retirement in1987.
Melba and Fred enjoyed golfing together. Mom moved to Great Falls in 1993. Her greatest joy came from her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed having dinner and playing Skip Bo with her family and friends.
Melba is survived by her daughters, Anita Rothera of Roseburg, OR, Barbara Krumwiede of Bend, OR, Charmaine Bonfantini of Rohnert Park, CA, and Diane Booth-Gilliam of San Marcos, TX; grandchildren Denise Bennett of Myrtle Point, OR, Darcy Wageman of Tacoma, WA, Beckee (Rick) Van Wagner of Clermont, FL, Jennifer Kennedy of Hillsboro, OR, Gary (Michelle) Dawson of Billing, MT, and Cherie (Jim)Wheeler of Santa Rosa, CA; great-grandchildren Rebecca Bennett, Dean Michael Bennett, Kyle Hardy, Troy Wageman, Abigail Van Wagner, Gabriel Van Wagner, Ricky Van Wagner, Asgard Dawson, Gibson Dawson, and Joshua Columbo; and great-great-grandchild Aurora Rodrigeuz.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Joslin and granddaughter Dana Hardy.
Memorials may be given to the Dedman Animal Foundation, 2400 High St, Fort Benton, MT, 59442.

Ralph Party
July 2, 2016

Ralph Paul Party, 81, of Great Falls, went to be with his loving Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 2, 2016.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Fort Harrison State Veterans cemetery in Helena. Arrangements are in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home.
Ralph was born to Felix and Marie Party on December 13, 1934 in Jefferson City, Missouri. He worked as an Electronic Specialist with the U.S. Air Force and after retiring he worked at EOS.
Ralph was a loving, caring and giving man that loved his family and friends with all his heart. He is now pain free and with his wife Sharon who preceded him in death in 2014. Ralph and Sharon raised six children and were blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild.
Ralph had many hobbies; golfing, snowmobiling, camping, fishing, hunting, and tinkering in his garage. And, of course, he enjoyed coffee with the guys.
Ralph is survived by his children, Kathy (Bruce) Barton, Lynette Anderson, Diane Seals, Shawn Party, Bill (Maggie) Caffyn, Jess (Jackie Caffyn, and Daryl Brumbaugh; brother Jerry; sisters Pat and Alice; grandchildren Angela, Allan, Brandon, Stewart, Barbie, Christopher, Cory, Chad, Kayla, Maxx, Gus, and Callie; great-grandchildren Ashley, Caden, Grayce, Samantha, Teylynn, Callan, Neveah, and Raelyn; and great-great grandchild Silas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon; and grandchildren Caitlyn, Colton, and Jennifer.
May you rest in peace now, Dad. You will always be loved and greatly missed.

Hannelore Dammen
July 13, 2016

Hannelore “Lori” Dammen, 83, of Missoula, passed away in Missoula on Wednesday, July 13, 2016.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at O’Connor Funeral Home in Great Falls. A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Manchester cemetery located at 11 Loch Lane. Arrangements are in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home.
Lori was born in Broock, Germany on August 13, 1932. She married Stanley Dammen in Great Falls and they were married 41 years. Together they raised three children. When she and her husband retired, they moved to the Augusta area.
Lori loved their home in Augusta and enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and feeding the chipmunks by hand. She loved all animals, especially her beloved dogs. She spent her time picking mushrooms, finding driftwood, and she also handmade many beautiful craft items.
Lori is survived by her daughter Sheila (Oscar) Allestad of Missoula; sons Michael Dammen of Black Eagle and Mark Dammen of Ulm.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stan.

Betty L Pawlowski
July 7, 2016

Betty Lou Pawlowski, 82, of Great Falls passed away on Thursday July, 7, 2016 at Peace Hospice of natural causes.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mountain View Lutheran Church, 800 Sacajawea Drive. Cremation has taken place under the direction of O’Connor Funeral Home.
Betty was born May 29, 1934 on the family farm in Wessington Springs, South Dakota to Arne and Mary (Tapken) Houwman. Betty was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Lane, SD.
On September 18, 1955 she was married to Ken Pawlowski at the Zion Lutheran Church in Wessington Springs. They farmed in that area for three years and moved to Woonsocket in 1958 where she worked at the local newspaper office. In1972 they moved to the Aberdeen area and in 1978 to Lewistown, MT where she worked for the school system in food services at both locations.
Throughout those years she was an active member of the LWML, served as church secretary, taught Sunday school, mid-week school, and Vacation Bible School. Betty was a member of the Mountain View Lutheran Church.
Betty is survived by her husband, Ken of Great Falls; daughter, Charlotte (Lonnie) Jackson of Summer, WA; grandson Austin; step-grandson Brad; and one brother and one sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son Gary.

Joan D'Antuono
July 21, 2016

Beloved Mother and Grandmother Ellen Joan D’Antuono, 76, of Great Falls, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 from natural causes at Bee Hive Homes of Great Falls.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. O’Connor Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Joan was born January 14, 1940 in Rolla, ND and was raised in Great Falls, MT. She received her diploma from Great Falls High School and attended both the University of Montana and the College of Great Falls where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in History. She married Louis D’Antuono, Jr in 1965. They had one son Louis John D’Antuono, III. Joan and Louis later divorced but remained lifelong friends.
Joan worked 36 years as a budget analyst for Malmstrom AFB before she retired.
Joan was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes parish, an avid reader and enjoyed quilting and crafting. Joan participated in the Christmas Collection at Paris Gibson Museum for many years.
Joan is survived by her son Louis (Rhona) John D’Antuono, III of Great Falls; sister Carmelia Rossi of Spokane; grandchildren Darian D’Antuono and Alex D’Antuono of Great Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents Stephen and Agnes Lambert and brother-in-law John Rossi.

Edna Sterner
June 22, 2016

Edna Sterner, 74, of Sun River passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 25 at 2 p.m. at the Sun River cemetery.

Ethel M Tramelli
July 20, 2016

Ethel M. (Reid) Tramelli, 90, of Great Falls passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at a local care facility.
Per her request no services will be held. Cremation has taken place under the direction of O’Connor Funeral Home.
Ethel was born on May 30, 1926 to Jack and Lily (Meek) Reid at the Columbus Hospital in Great Falls. Mom grew up tough on the lower north side. Her two brothers, Wes and Bud Reid, kept her safe and taught her to fend for herself at a young age. She played basketball with the boys in the neighborhood, which was unheard of at the time. Her best friend while growing up was Elaine (Palagi) Smith who preceded her in death in February of 2013. She attended local schools and graduated from Great Falls High School in 1944. While attending high school, she worked at Kaufmans during Christmas and also at Krers Dime Store. She later worked for American Optical and the Great Falls Clinic downtown in the filing department and then at Montgomery Wards in housewares. During WWII she went to Malstrom Air Force Base as a mechanics helper in the hanger and worked on B-24 and P-57 until the war ended.
She went on to attend the University of Montana where she met her husband, Michael C Tramelli. They were married at the Blessed Sacrament Rectory in Black Eagle on Thanksgiving Day, 1947. The two remained inseparable until Mike’s death in 2001.
Ethel was a Camp Fire Leader to the high school girls in Black Eagle and later Blue Birds and Cub Scouts in the Riverview area. It was there that she made many wonderful friends, made wonderful cookies, attended endless school activities from Knee Hi to American Legion Baseball games for their children and grandchildren. Michael and Ethel’s home was always open and there was always and extra place at the table and a car pool to drive. The family spent many happy days at the house on the Missouri River, fishing, hunting, sledding, hiking, raising the roof, barbeques, and celebrations of life.
Ethel is survived by her children, Rudy (Lisa) Tramelli of Cascade, Gail Tramelli of Helena, Michael (Julia) Tramelli of Great Falls, Lynn (Lee) Tramelli of Black Eagle, and Brett Tramelli of Great Falls; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Gregory Leritz
October 8, 1957 - September 29, 2016

Gregory “Lertz” Leritz, 58, of Belt, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 of natural causes.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the Belt High School Gymnasium. Memorials may be sent to Geyser Ambulance, c/o Judith Basin County EMS, Stanford MT 59479.
Greg was born October 8, 1957 in Anchorage, Alaska to Nick and Esther Leritz. He graduated from Belt Valley High School in 1975, joined the US Marine Corps until 1979, and graduated from the University of Montana in 1985. On October 10, 1981 he married the love of his life, Francie Urick.
Greg worked in forestry for 10 years, and started building homes in 1996. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and any good debate. He was also an avid reader, and his pride and joy was his family.
Greg is survived by his wife, Francie, of 35 years; their five children; nine grandchildren; and his brother Nick.

Eugene Russell Bourg Sr.
October 1, 2016

Eugene Russell Bourg, Sr., 67, of Great Falls, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Benefis.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at O’Connor Memorial Chapel, followed by interment at Highland cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of O’Connor Funeral Home.
Eugene was born in Great Falls on August 18, 1949 to Joseph and Ruth Bourg. He attended Great Falls High School, graduating in 1968. After graduating, he served in the U.S. Army including two tours in Vietnam. Eugene attended Great Falls College for 3 years and then entered a career in accounting. He was night auditor for Super 8 for over 15 years.
Eugene collected eagle and Native American art and enjoyed camping road trips with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; daughters Melissa May, Michelle May and Amanda (Ted) Courchane; sons Dave May, Gene (Malinda) Bourg Jr. and Harrold Bourg; and twelve grandchildren.
Eugene is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Louis and George.
