Gerald T. 'Jerry' Sullivan

BIGFORK -- Gerald T. "Jerry" Sullivan, 69, a former Great Falls resident and former owner of Sullivan's Department Store in Bigfork, died Friday at his daughter's home in Bigfork.
His funeral is 2 p.m. today at Community United Methodist Church in Bigfork, followed by a reception at the church. A gathering of family and friends is 5:30 p.m. at the Garden Bar in Bigfork. Buffalo Hill Funeral Home of Bigfork is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Lois; daughters Debbie Ingram and Cristi Hand of Bigfork; a son, Jeff Sullivan of Bigfork; a brother, Richard Sullivan of Wheaton, Ill.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A son, Rick Sullivan, has died.
Jerry was born March 20, 1932, in Kalamazoo, Mich., to Howard and Blanche Sullivan. He attended grade school and graduated from South High School in Grand Rapids in 1940.
On July 25, 1953, he married Lois McDaniel in Grand Rapids.
He moved to Montana in 1965 and worked for Buttrey Department Stores in Billings and Great Falls. Jerry and his family moved to Bigfork in 1976 to open Sullivan's Department Store. When the store closed in 1980, he worked for KCFW-TV and The Daily Inter Lake in advertising sales, and also worked at KECI-TV in Missoula. He worked for Hillstead's Department Store as the store manager and advertising manager and served on their board of directors.
Jerry was a volunteer for Tammarack Time for a number of years. One of the highlights of his life was being cast as the governor of Wyoming in the movie "Heaven's Gate." For only two speaking lines, he was awarded star treatment. An accomplished artist who won awards for his work, he derived joy in his later years from drawing pictures for his children and then his grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. As a final tribute to Jerry, his dear friend Donny Marincic will carry his ashes when he rides his horse in the opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games on Friday, so they can have "one last ride together."
He also was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Craig Sullivan.

Garrickson Moran

SISSETON, S.D. -- Garrickson Moran, 88, a former Hays resident and Army veteran, died of natural causes Jan. 16 at a hospital in Rosebud, S.D.
Services took place Jan. 21 at Cahill Funeral Chapel in Sisseton, S.D., followed by burial with military honors in the veterans section of Sisseton cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Gary Moran of Tacoma, Wash.; daughters Susan Carol Messerly of Harlem and Marilyn Cole of Seattle; a sister, Rachael Pederson of Renton, Wash.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther; and a son, Gregory.

Tucker Adair Reamy

GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Tucker Adair Reamy, 10, of Grand Forks, N.D., who was born in Great Falls, died Sunday at a Minneapolis hospital of complications from a cord blood transplant he had received for treatment of adrenoleukodystrophy, a degenerative brain disease.
Visitation is 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, followed by a prayer service, at University Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. His funeral is 1 p.m. Friday at the church. A second service is 1 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church in Great Falls, with burial in Highland cemetery. Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks and O'Connor Funeral Home are handling arrangements.
Survivors include his parents, Rod and Tracy "Marty" Ream, and a sister, Allyson Ream, all of Grand Forks; grandparents Gary and Mary Marty of Great Falls; and great-grandmothers Margaret T. Reamy of Hamilton, Va., and Mickey Marty of Big Sandy.
He also is survived by numerous other family members and friends.
Tucker was born Dec. 21, 1992, in Great Falls, Mont. When he was 2, he and his family moved to McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey, where he learned to ride a bike by the age of 3 and entered preschool.
In 1997, he moved to Grand Forks, where he began the most formative and wonderful time of his life. He started kindergarten at Lewis and Clark Elementary School in 1998 and was currently in the fourth grade. He loved to go to school to be with his classmates and all of the teachers and staff.
He was very active in local events. He played hockey with the Grand Forks Park Board and the Grand Forks Blues Hockey Association and also played Park Board Little League. Tucker was active in the Sunday School program at University Lutheran Church, and he looked forward to attending church activities and spending time with all of the many friends he had there.
Tucker will be most remembered for his big brown twinkling eyes, infectious smile and laugh, and most of all, his kind, loving spirit.

John William Olson

WOLF POINT -- Lifelong Wolf Point resident and Army Special Forces veteran John William Olson, 69, who was a farmer, rancher and artist, died Monday at a Wolf Point hospital.
Visitation begins 3 p.m. Thursday at Wolf Point Community Hall, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. His funeral is 2 p.m. Friday at Clayton Memorial Chapel, with burial in King Memorial cemetery.
Survivors include sons R.J. Smith of Chicago and John M. Olson, James Olson and Joe Olson, all of Wolf Point; daughters Shawn Olson Crawford of Poplar and Noleen Olson Bogdanski of Portland, Ore.; sisters Elaine Vollin of Wolf Point and Gertrude Busch of Williston, N.D.; and five grandchildren.

Louise Rizzuto

Louise (Ferrari) Rizzuto, 97, of Great Falls, who worked as a crochet beader on gowns and dresses for Broadway shows for many years, died of natural causes Tuesday at a local nursing home.
At her request, no services are planned. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.
Survivors include a daughter, Rita McClure of Great Falls; three grandchildren, Michael McClure, Kevin McClure and Lori Payne; and eight great-grandchildren.
You were a wonderful person and a precious grandmother. You lived a long and full life. You took us many places and showed us how much you enjoyed living. You will be missed as much as you were loved.

Frank Mosbrucker

HAVRE -- Frank Mosbrucker, 69, a retired farmer, died Sunday at a Havre hospital of a ruptured aortic aneurysm.
Prayer vigil is 7 p.m. Thursday at Holland and Bonine Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. Friday at St. Jude Catholic Church, with burial in Highland cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the parish center. Holland and Bonine Funeral Home is in charge of cremation and arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Mosbrucker of Havre; a daughter, Grindyl Mosbrucker of Rochester Hills, Mich.; a son, Shannon Pollington of Homer, Alaska; and sisters Jennie Hanson and Anna Rismon of Havre, and Pat Garding, Margaret McNair and Mary Armstrong, all of Billings.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter.

Berle Eldon Davis

HELENA -- World War II Army veteran Berle Eldon Davis, 80, of Helena, died of natural causes Friday at a Helena hospital.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Retz Funeral Home of Helena is handling arrangements.
Survivors include his children, Judy Palmer of Somers, Harlan Davis of Helena, Blake Davis of Great Falls and Jeff Davis of Kalispell; a sister, Enid Lake of Missoula; and nine grandchildren.
Berle was born Nov. 23, 1922, to Philip and Esther (Miller) Davis in Judith Gap. He and his siblings Enid, Clifford, Russell, and Philip grew up on the family homestead and attended school in Judith Gap. Berle was in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946 and served time in the Philippines, New Guinea and Japan. He went to college at MSU in Bozeman, graduating in 1957.
Over the course of his life, he worked many jobs, including the Forest Service, where he was a smokejumper, firefighter, fire control officer, straw boss and aerial observer. Later, he ran the Town Pump stations in Big Timber and Great Falls. He retired in 1988, while working for MSU in Bozeman.
Berle loved to drive the backroads of Montana and Idaho, he loved oyster stew and a good steak, and he always drove a Buick.

Gertrude Crawford

BROWNING -- Gertrude (Ollinger) Crawford, 82, a homemaker, died of natural causes Monday at a Browning hospital.
A vigil service is 7 this evening at Glacier Community Center. Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. Thursday at Little Flower Parish, with burial in Willow Creek cemetery. Day Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors, all of Browning, include daughters Donna Kennerly, Ramona Ellen Connell and Corrine Lynn Crawford; sons Irvin Crawford, Jim Crawford, George Crawford, Ron Crawford, Cecil Crawford, Carl Crawford, Smokey Rides at the Door and Ozzie Snow; and numerous grandchildren.

Lawrence W. Colwell

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Former Great Falls resident Lawrence W. Colwell, 68, a trucker, died of a heart attack Feb. 27 at his workplace in Rochester, N.Y.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Croxford & Sons Funeral Home, with burial in Manchester cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Gaye Colwell of Rochester; his former wife, Barbara Duncan Colwell of Cascade; a daughter, Nikki Carlson of Rochester; a sister, LaDora Ledford of Tecumseh, Okla.; and five grandchildren, Paige Hashley of Kirksville, Mo., Brianne Broduer of Gaithersburg, Md., and Mark Carlson, Matthew Carlson and Meghan Carlson, all of Rochester.
Larry was born July 22, 1934, in Tribbey, Okla., and was raised in Tribbey and Tecumseh, Okla.
In his early years, he worked with Barbara on the Witt Ranch. During the early 1980s, he worked with Big Sky Bus Line and later with Summit Transport and Northern Energy in Great Falls. In the fall of 2001, Larry and Gaye moved to Rochester. At the time of his death, Larry worked for Eagle Express.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael; and his parents, Ervin and Lola Colwell of Tecumseh, Okla.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Golisano Children's Hospital, 300 East River Road, Box 278996, Rochester, N.Y. 14642.

Donald LeRoy Fox

BIG SANDY -- Donald LeRoy "Donnie" Fox, 65, a retired Air Force communication tech sergeant who enjoyed horses, airplanes and fly fishing, died of pancreatic cancer Sunday at his mother's home in Big Sandy.
His funeral is 11 a.m. today at Fifth Avenue Christian Church in Havre, followed by a luncheon at the church. Burial with military honors is 3:30 p.m. at Big Sandy cemetery. Holland and Bonine Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his mother, Inez L. Huestis Halter of Big Sandy; his stepfather, Jerry Halter of Dixon; sisters Donna Jenkins and Gay Pearson of Big Sandy, Carolyn Norris of Joplin and Joey Hettick of Dixon; and brothers Butch Halter of Helena and Jack Halter of Havre.
Additional survivors include brothers-in-law Loren Jenkins and Ron Pearson of Big Sandy, Steve Norris of Joplin and Harley Hettick of Dixon; sisters-in-law Andrea Halter of Helena and Bev Halter of Havre; his special friend and angel, Winifred Bartlett of Williston, N.D.; and friends from the Trapper's Kettle and DK's Lounge in Williston.
Donnie was born Feb. 28, 1938, to Lucille Huestis, at the Florence Crittenton Home in Helena. He was educated at Washington and Lincoln McKinley grade schools in Havre, two years of high school in Missoula and two years of high school in Stevensville.
On Jan. 1, 1963, Donnie entered the United States Air Force. He served his country in the following locations: Korea, Italy, England, Germany, the Pentagon, Oklahoma, Dayton, Ohio, and Del Rio, Texas. He achieved the rank of communications tech sergeant before retiring after 23 years of dedicated service.
Donnie worked at both the Trapper's Kettle and DK's Lounge in Williston, N.D., for 17 years. He went to Fort Harrison for treatment of his cancer, then moved in with his mother in Big Sandy to die.
Donnie was preceded in death by Ed and Delilah Tangmo, the uncle and aunt who raised him; and other uncles, aunts, cousins and grandparents.
Memorials are suggested to the Florence Crittenton Home and Services of Montana, 830 N. Warren, Helena, MT 59601.
