SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Benjamin Davis Bible, 91, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at Sheridan Manor.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Ferries Funeral Home of Sheridan was in charge.

Louise Ridgely Buckingham
STORY, Wyo. - Louise Ridgely Buckingham, 78, died Monday, June 29, 1998, at her home in Story of cancer.
Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, at Kane Funeral Home in Sheridan. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church in Story.

Loriene E. Crippen
SIDNEY - Loriene E. Crippen, 85, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at the Sidney Health Center-Extended Care Facility.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the People's Congregational Church in Sidney with interment in the Sidney cemetery. Fulkerson Funeral Home of Sidney is in charge.

Lena Fern Cunningham
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Lena Fern Cunningham, 84, died Saturday, June 27, 1998, at Westview Health Care Center in Sheridan.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, at the Sheridan Municipal cemetery. Champion Funeral Home of Sheridan is in charge.

Jeremy Ray Doyon
GREAT FALLS - Services for Jeremy Ray Doyon, 13, will be held Wednesday, July 1, at 3 p.m., in the Central Assembly of God Church, 2001 Central Ave., Great Falls.
A special memorial will be held for Jeremy's friends and classmates, Tuesday at 7 p.m., at the Central Assembly of God Church.
Jeremy Ray Doyon passed away Saturday, June 27, at his home.
He was born March 18, 1985, in Great Falls. His hobbies included soccer, bowling, baseball, basketball, golfing, rollerblading, bike riding, hunting and catching more fish than his Dad.
Jeremy was an Honor Student and would have been in the 8th grade this fall. He was loved by his teachers and his schoolmates.
Jeremy is survived by his parents, Dean and Cathy (Garsjo) Doyon of Great Falls; his grandparents, Alice Doyon of Great Falls, Hartvik and Agnes Garsjo of Nashua; and one brother, PFC Corey Doyon of Fort Hood, Texas; one sister, Melanie Doyon of Spokane, Wash.; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and best friends.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandfather, Louis Doyon, in 1993.
A gathering of family and friends will be at Park Plaza in the Hospitality Room, 405 Park Drive N., following services.
Croxford and Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Elsie Freeberg
KENNEWICK, Wash. - Elsie (Lindblom) Freeberg, 93, passed away June 27, 1998, at the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pasco. She was born April 5, 1905, in Princeton, Minn.
Elsie married Wesley A. Freeberg in 1935 and lived in Oshkosh, Wis., Carrington, N.D., Red Lodge, Mont., and Billings, Mont., before settling in Laurel, Mont., for 39 years. She and her husband moved to Kennewick in 1986 to be closer to family. Before her retirement in 1970, she was a legal secretary. She was a member of Kennewick First United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful homemaker, she loved to cook and bake. Having coffee with friends and guests for dinner was a favorite pastime. She was close to family, relatives and her many friends and maintained contact with them over the years.
Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley, in 1988 and son, Dale, in 1995. She is survived by her son, Roger and wife, Nancy of Kennewick; daughter-in-law, Sharon Freeberg, Seattle; sisters: Dorothy Kollmann, St. Cloud, Minn.; Lillian McKelvey and husband, John, Burns, Ore.; Vivian Bulkley and husband, Peter, Seattle; Grace Lovell, Sauk Rapids, Minn.; a brother, John Lindblom and wife, Barbara, Mora, Minn.; four grandchildren, Kimberly Miller and husband, Charles, Renton; Michael, Seattle; Eric, Redmond; and Kirsten Dernbach and husband, John, Mission Viejo, Calif.; two great-grandchildren, Jamie and Jonathan Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private graveside service will be held at Desert Lawn Memorial Park at 11 a.m. and a memorial service at Kennewick United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 1998. Remembrances may be made to the Kennewick First United Methodist Church or Laurel United Methodist Church.

Tommy (Ruth M.) Hughes
STANFORD - Tommy (Ruth) Undem Hughes, 81, died Saturday, June 27, 1998, at her home of natural causes.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the First Presbyterian Church in Stanford. The Cloyd Funeral Home of Lewistown is in charge.

Raymond H. Jackson
GREYCLIFF - Raymond H. Jackson, 53, of Greycliff, died Saturday, June 27, 1998, at Pioneer Medical Center in Big Timber.
Graveside services will be at a later date in Big Timber. Lowry Funeral Home of Big Timber is in charge.

Edith C. (Downer) Lane
Edith C. (Downer) Lane passed away Sunday morning, June 28, 1998, at Deaconess Hospital in Billings. She lived for 84 years, the first six being in a log cabin on the family homestead.
Edith was born Oct. 6, 1913, at Great Falls, the firstborn of Byron and Elizabeth (Pelot) Downer. She grew up on the homestead in the wheat basin area near Molt, attending school at Lakeview and graduating from Broadview High School. She attended Normal College, today's Rocky Mountain College, and on Aug. 27, 1933, married Orville Lane in Red Lodge. Edith and Orville lived on the farm and ranch they started for 65 years.
In her younger years Edith enjoyed horseback riding and time spent fishing, and loved cats and dogs throughout her life. She was a member and Past Matron of Bitterroot Chpt. 96 of Rapelje and affiliated with Billings Friendship Chpt. 124, as well as an active member of the Molt Extension Homemakers and the Molt Congregational Church.
Survivors include her son, Lee and wife, Susan of Molt; three grandchildren, Tyler Lane and wife, Kim of Molt, Cam Johnson and husband, Jeremie of Coatesville, Ind., and Calvin Lane and wife, Mylo of Molt; two brothers, Arthur Downer and wife, Marie of Molt, and S.T. Downer and wife, Adah of Phoenix, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; brother, Robert; and her parents, Byron and Bess.
Visitations will begin Tuesday at the Smith West Chapel, 304 34th St. W. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, at the Smith West Chapel with interment to follow at Mountview cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Congregational Church, Fire Department, or Community Center in Molt.

Ruth H. Lowe
Ruth H. Lowe, 74, of Billings, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at St. Vincent Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the Rosebud cemetery in Absarokee. Smith Funeral Chapel of Laurel is in charge.

F. Wayne Newell
F. Wayne Newell, age 71, died Saturday, June 27, at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings following a brief illness.
Wayne was born May 5, 1927, in Lamar, Mo., the son of Frederick M. Newell and Mildred Callison Newell. At the age of 2, he and his family moved to Wyoming.
Wayne attended Cody High School. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he worked at various local ranches.
Wayne discovered his love of the outdoors after he began his career with the U.S. Forest Service in 1950. He studied range and forestry at the university in Logan, Utah.
Wayne married Glenrose Thayer of Burlington, Wyo., on Sept. 1, 1951, in Cody. They shared most of their life together in the Sunlight-Crandall area.
Wayne spent his Forest Service career on the Medicine Bow and Shoshone National forests. His career involved firefighting, a way of life that he loved. Wayne retired in 1989.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Glenrose; and his son, Randy. Survivors include a daughter, Nelda Vorce of Boise, Idaho; grandson, Kenn Randy Boechler; a brother, Ralph Newell of Cody; sister, Joan Wilson of Cody; sister, Martha Anderson of Moab, Utah; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for F. Wayne Newell will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 1998, at First Presbyterian Church in Cody. Interment will follow in Riverside cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be sent to 2267 White Pine Place, Boise, Idaho 83706. Donations may be made in Wayne's memory to the Rimrock Foundation, 1231 N. 29th St., Billings, Montana 59101.

Alice I. Opland
Alice I. Opland, 90, formerly of Big Timber, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at Aspen Meadows Retirement Center in Billings.
Services are pending. Lowry Funeral Home of Big Timber is in charge.

William 'Bill' Paumer
BASIN, Wyo. - William "Bill" Paumer, 93, of Basin, died Saturday, June 27, 1998, at the Washakie Memorial Hospital in Worland.
Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the Atwood Family Funeral Home in Basin; and half-hour before the services at the United Methodist Church in Basin. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at the church with interment in the Mount View cemetery in Basin.

Benjamin 'Ben' Pius
THORNTON, Colo. - Benjamin "Ben" Pius, 33, formerly of Miles City, Mont., died Friday, June 26, 1998, in Thornton.
Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miles City. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at the church with rite of committal in the Custer County cemetery in Miles City. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City is in charge.

Margaret C. Robertus
Margaret C. Bateman was born March 10, 1917, in Plymouth, N.C. After many moves she came to Norfolk, Va. to work as a secretary for the Navy during World War II, where she met her husband Alex. They were married Feb. 5, 1946 and returned to Laurel where she was active in many organizations.
She was treated for cancer in 1992 and was diagnosed again in October, 1997. She fought a hard battle to the end at home with the help of many friends and relatives. Margaret passed away on Sunday, June 28, 1998.
Survivors include her husband, Alex, of 52 years; son, Ronald of Anchorage, Alaska; son, Dan of Roundup; grandsons, Phillip of Burr, Neb. and Jaron of Kenosha, Wisc.; granddaughter, Jennifer of Mannheim, Germany; and her two great-granddaughters, Adrianna and Carissa of Mannheim, Germany; and many cousins nieces, and nephews.
Services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, at the Laurel United Methodist Church with interment following in the Laurel cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Big Sky Hospice at 3021 6th avenue north, Billings, Mont. 59101 or Laurel United Methodist Church, Laurel, Mont. 59044. Smith Funeral Chapels - Laurel was in charge of arrangements.

W. Vance Satterfield
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - W. Vance Satterfield, 61, died Saturday, June 27, 1998, at the Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.
Viewing will be 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, at Ferries Funeral Home in Sheridan. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sheridan with interment in the Sheridan Municipal cemetery.

Jean E. M. Sweeney
Jean E. M. Sweeney, 84, formerly of Miles City, died Saturday, June 27, 1998, at the Aspen Meadows Retirement Community in Billings.
Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, in the Chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with rite of committal in the Calvary cemetery, both in Miles City.

Leona Woods
MALTA - Leona Woods, 73, died Monday, June 29, 1998, at her home in Malta.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 3, at the Adams Memorial Chapel in Malta, with burial in the Malta cemetery.

Bertha Bieber Gable
FORSYTH-Bertha Bieber Gable, formerly of Hardin, passed away on June 25, 1998, at the Rosebud Health Care Center in Forsyth, where she had been a resident since 1993. She was 84.
She was born August 17, 1913, in Pollock, S.D. to Peter and Frieda Whitmeyer Bieber, one of three brothers and six sisters. Her family moved to Montana in the 1920's.
She married Otto Gable on Oct. 24, 1931, in Fairview. In 1939, they moved to Hardin where they owned and operated a dairy farm until 1972. After their retirement, they enjoyed traveling and visiting family and friends. They were married for 58 years prior to Otto's death in 1989.
Bertha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Otto; one son, Lloyd; three brothers, Rudolf, Bill and George Bieber; three sisters, Lydia Gabel, Martha Genther and Rose Kruger; and two infant grandchildren.
Survivors include three sons, Don (Ruby) of Bossier City, La., Dale (Marge) of Roundup and Tim (Vicki) of Billings; three daughters, Rose (Jerry) Williams of Casper, Ruth (Larry) Propp of Forsyth and Lillian (Gene) Ferderer of Hardin; three sisters, Anna Schoenberg of Minot, N.D., Frieda Schlothauer of Fairview and Esther Anderson of Portland; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bertha was a very warm, compassionate person, who touched the hearts of everyone she met. Her gentle spirit will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Hardin Fairview cemetery. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Should friends desire, Mmmorials may be made to the E&R Church in Hardin or to the Rosebud Health Care Center, P.O. Box 268, Forsyth Mont. 59327.
