MEDICINE LAKE - Helen Evans, 90, died Wednesday, June 10, 1998.
Visitation will be 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, June 13, and noon-8 p.m. Sunday, June 14, at Fulkerson Funeral Home in Plentywood. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 15, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Medicine Lake with interment in the Medicine Lake cemetery.

Eva Sophia DePuy
LIVINGSTON - Eva Sophia DePuy, 93, died Thursday, June 11, 1998, at Livingston Memorial Hospital.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Franzen-Davis Funeral and Cremation Service of Livingston was in charge.

Lucille Ruth Templin
COLVILLE, Wash. - Lucille R. Templin, a 20-year resident of Colville, passed away June 10, 1998, at her home at the age of 84. She was born on May 17, 1914, at Laurel, Mont., the daughter of Glen and Gertrude (Stevesson) VanDoren.
She attended school in Laurel and was a 1934 graduate of Laurel High School. She married Ralph J. Templin in Forsyth, Mont., in 1935. They lived in Bridger, Mont., until 1957. She lived for several years in Billings and later in Red Lodge, Mont.
Lucille worked as a secretary for Carrier Air Conditioning in Billings. She later was a cook at the Central Catholic High School during the school year and during the summers she cooked at the Girl Scout camp She moved to Colville in 1978.
Lucille is survived by: two daughters, Donna Buechler of Colville, Jeanette "Pat" Jurkovich of Red Lodge, and one son, Richard Templin of Ocean Shore, Wash. She was known as "Gram" to nine grandchildren and their partners, "G.G." to 18 great-grandchildren, "Amomma" to one great-great-grandchild, and as "Swede" to the rest of her family and friends. Her entire family gathered in Colville to celebrate her 80th birthday in 1994. The family will meet again to celebrate her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, a brother and her husband.
At her request, no funeral services will be held for Mrs. Templin. Following cremation, her ashes will be laid to rest in Red Lodge.
The Danekas Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Everard Rowland Creek Jr.
SHEPHERD - Everard Roland Creek Jr. went to be with God and his wife, Gracia, on June 10, 1998, at his home after a year-long struggle with lung cancer. Ev was born April 10, 1933, in Great Falls to Everard R. and Bernice Creek. He married Gracia Mae Beerman in 1956. They remained in the Great Falls area raising their family until 1976 when he was transferred to Helena.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve in 1949; after his release from call-up from the Korean Conflict he joined the Montana Air National Guard. He became a full-time technician in 1960. During his career he rose through enlisted ranks to master sergeant. In 1974, he was promoted to captain by commendation; when he retired in 1989 he was a lieutenant colonel. He served in several capacities, including administration, avionics and personnel. He retired in 1988 as the Support Personnel Management officer.
Law enforcement was his passion. In 1978, he became a reserve deputy for Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's Office. He and his wife, Gracia, moved to Shepherd in 1990 and became active with the Yellowstone County Sheriff's Reserve.
Ev Creek gave selflessly to his country and community but felt that his greatest achievement was his five children and having helped mentor them into productive adulthoods. His wife preceded him in death in 1996. Leaving behind five children: Kareene Ostermiller, Shepherd; Maureen Nilsen, Great Falls; Clay Creek, Billings; Lynn Butcher, Lewistown; and Dawn Norris, Shepherd. His children and 12 grandchildren have been greatly affected in their life by his loss.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 15, at the St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 226 Wicks Lane, Billings. Interment will follow at Mountview cemetery. Smith Downtown Chapel in charge of arrangements.

William L. English
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - William L. "Bill" English, 71, of Martinsburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 1998. He was born Oct. 3, 1926, in Cody, Wyo., to William and Emma English. On July 6, 1955, Bill married Elaine Rickman in Powell, Wyo.
He is survived by Elaine, his wife of 42 years, and by his four children: Rick (Cindy) English of Falling Waters, Kathy (Jerry) Guthrie of Cody, Kim English of Martinsburg, and Krystal (Marc) Gehrts of Worland, Wyo. His six grandchildren, Derek, Hilary, Kali, Jordan, Jon and Bradley, will miss him greatly.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be at the Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg at 3 p.m. Monday the 15th.

Gordon E. Eklund
BARBER - Gordon E. Eklund, 69, died Thursday, June 11, at Deaconess Medical Center in Billings of cancer.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, at American Lutheran Church in Harlowton with burial at Lewistown City cemetery. Perkins Funeral Home in Harlowton is in charge.

Mary Rehmer
MALTA - Mary Rehmer, 98, died Thursday, June 11, 1998, at the Phillips County Good Samaritan Center of natural causes.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 15, at the Adams Memorial Chapel in Malta with interment in the Malta cemetery.

H.H. Bill Todd
Houston Henry (H.H. Bill) Todd died suddenly in Billings on June 10, 1998, of a heart attack. Bill was born in Billings on May 24, 1921, to Jessie White Todd and Ammi B. Todd, the first street commissioner of Billings. He graduated from Billings Senior in 1939, and served as a sergeant major in the Army from 1942 through 1945 in the Aleutians and Northern France.
Bill worked in Billings for the Post Office, Pierce Packing, and as manager of Wonderland Park in the 1960s. He also owned Todd Outdoor Advertising. But Bill was a born salesman. For the last 40 years, he was an award-winning self-employed insurance agent and financial advisor. He was a pioneer in the group life insurance field and more recently concentrated on the mutual fund area. Bill was also known to many as the man behind the statewide yellow signs which proclaim: "Pay Taxes on Election Day."
Bill was a member of the Westside Baptist Church, Lions Club, Elks Club and the Shrine Temple. He served two terms on the Billings City Council. For the last 30 years he labored with love at his cabin in Fishtail and was dubbed the honorary mayor of Fishtail. With his wife, Donna, he loved puttering at the cabin, exploring the Beartooths and traveling around the West.
Bill is survived by his wife of 22 years, Donna Todd; his only child, Greg Todd and his wife, Lani of Billings; a stepdaughter, Sandra Deeds of Fort Collins, Colo.; a brother, Ray Todd of Cannon Falls, Minn.; a sister, Gertrude Boden of Tacoma, Wash; and two grandchildren, Kiely Todd of St. Paul, Minn., and Rachel Todd of Billings. Bill was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Hardin Todd, and his first wife, Beth Todd. Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 15, at the Westside Baptist Church, Monad and 32nd St. W., followed by a dinner reception. Memorials can be made to the Westside Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.

Angel Marie Holland
MILES CITY - Angel Marie Holland, the daughter of Jeff and Teza Holland, of Miles City, was stillborn on Tuesday, June 9, 1998, at the Holy Rosary Health Center.
Her survivors include her parents, two brothers, Ethan Allen and Michael Andrew Poppert of Miles City; one sister, Alexandra Rini Holland of Belgrade; grandparents, Larry South and Dori South, both of Miles City, and Don and Gayle Holland of Rosebud; one aunt, Janet Holland of Billings; and one uncle, Mike South and his wife, Tanya of Miles City.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 15, 1998, at 2 p.m. in the Federated Presbyterian Church in Forsyth with Pastor Dan Houston officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot in the Forsyth cemetery. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Forsyth is in charge of arrangements.
Should friends desire, donations may be made to the family in Angel's name so that a memorial can be established at a later date, or to the Shriners Children's Hospital, Shriner Temple, A.A.O.N.M.S., P.O. Box 20673, Billings, Mont. 59104.

Vernon Johnson
FAIRVIEW - Vernon Johnson, 88, of Fairview, died Thursday, June 11, 1998, at the Sidney Health Center.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 15, at the Zion Lutheran Church, with interment in the Fairview cemetery. Fulkerson Funeral Home of Sidney is in charge.

Thomas A. Prewett
GLASGOW - Thomas A. Prewett, 73, of Glasgow, died Thursday, June 11, 1998, at the Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital.
Thomas was born Feb. 27, 1925, in Simms, the son of Alfred W. and Alzory (Woods) Prewett. Thomas was raised and attended schools Simms. He entered the service in 1942, serving in the South Pacific. He was in the 112th Cavalry, serving into December of 1945.
He married Pattie Egeland at Lewistown on Dec. 24, 1946. He lived and worked in Peerless from Dec. 7, 1953, until 1977, when they moved to Glasgow, and have resided there since. He worked for the railroad as depot agent in Peerless from 1947 until 1969. He was a massage therapist from 1955 until the present time. His hobbies were his massage work and his telegraphy key.
Survivors include his wife, Pattie of Glasgow; one daughter, Lynne Gamble of Lewistown; two sisters, Dorothy Porter of Helena and Alzora Clark of Missoula; and five grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time. Bell Mortuary of Glasgow is in charge of arrangements.

Emily Williams Norlin
BOZEMAN - Emily Williams Norlin, age 65, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 1998, in the Evergreen Care Center in Bozeman.
Emily was born Dec. 23, 1932, near Piniele, the daughter of William C. and Annie (Smith) Williams.
She received her education in a one-room school house on Crow Creek in Carter County.
Emily married Louis Norlin on June 7, 1953, in Broadus. They ranched in the Broadus/Hammond area following their marriage. In 1960, they moved to Belle Fourche, S.D., where she worked as a nurse's aide at the hospital. In 1961, they moved back to the Broadus area and continued ranching. In 1962, they moved to Aberdeen, S.D. In 1964, they settled in Billings, where she worked as a nurses aide at the Yellowstone County Nursing Home and Saint Vincent's Hospital.
She loved animals, people and helping others.
Emily is survived by a son, Grady Norlin and his wife, Gloria, of Bozeman; a daughter, Rotha Peet and her husband, Greg of Sheridan, Wyo.; four grandchildren, Gabriel Norlin, Clay, Emily and Pasty Forni; two sisters, Helen Rosencranz of Belle Fourche, S.D. and Lois Hopkins of Gillette, Wyo.; a brother, Ira "Shorty" Williams of Ekalaka; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one daughter, Noreen Winter; four brothers, William, Roger, Ben and Hank; three sisters, Isabell, Annie and Betty.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home for distribution to the Bozeman Deaconess Hospital Cancer Center.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 13, at 1 p.m. in the Boyes Community Hall. Interment will be in the Piniele cemetery at a later date. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Broadus is in charge of the arrangements.

Angel Marie Holland
MILES CITY - Angel Marie Holland, infant daughter of Jeff and Teza Holland, was still born Tuesday, June 9, 1998, at the Holy Rosary Health Center.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 15, at the Federated Presbyterian Church in Forsyth, with interment in the family lot at the Forsyth cemetery.

Dorothy L. Geertz
LAUREL - Dorothy L. Geertz of Laurel passed away Tuesday evening, June 9, 1998. The daughter of Stephen Weber and Kunie Weinkauf Weber, Dorothy was born Jan. 25, 1919, in Glasgow. Dorothy was fourth among eight children, four of whom are living.
Dorothy was raised in the Nashua area and later moved with her family to Glasgow, where she graduated from high school in the class of 1936. She entered Saint Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in 1937, graduating in 1940 as a registered nurse. Dorothy continued working at St. Vincent Hospital for a couple years following nurses' training. She also performed private duty nursing.
In 1941, Dorothy married Woodrow Geertz from near Cohagen, Mont., and lived in Billings. In 1962, the family moved to Laurel where she continued to reside until her death. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Woody, who died in 1974.
Dorothy and Woody successfully raised five children: Steve, Mary Christensen, Jane Guest, Woody and Don. Dorothy has 10 grandchildren.
Dorothy was an avid gardener, enjoyed needlework and many other craft projects. She painted using oil, watercolor, and did china painting.
A vigil will be held Friday at 8:00 PM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Laurel.
Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, June 13 at 1 p.m. at St. Anthony's. Rite of Committal will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Billings.

Guy Reese
Guy Reese, 81, of Billings, died June 10, 1998, after a long illness. He was born March 22, 1917, in Mountain View, Mo., a son of Luther W. Reese and Bessie Duncan Reese.
He was married to the late Delia Lemieux of Poplar, Mont., and they had three children. He later married Marian Stevenson of Mountain View, Mo., and she survives him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Jean Woodson and Wreadith Reece of Missouri; and one brother, Billy M. Reese of Billings.
Guy enjoyed country music and watching baseball games. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Teresita, Mo. Guy's pet and faithful pal was Spike, his dog.
Guy began truck driving as a young man, continuing this career throughout his life until retiring from his own trucking business, REESE AND SHERMAN TRUCKING. Trucking was one of the loves of his life and although retired, he continued to occasionally drive truck for J.E. WILLIAMS TRUCKING. Guy spent his spare time traveling and wintering in Arizona and Missouri until he became ill in 1997.
Survivors include his wife, Marian and his three children, Russ Reese of Billings, Wreadith Jacob of Grand Junction, Colo., and Shirley Reese Hoffert of Billings. He is also survived by two stepsons, David Stevenson of Mountain View, Mo., and James Stevenson of Vandalia, Mo.; his brothers, Add Reese of Purcell, Okla., and Dean Reese of Mountain Grove, Mo.; his sisters, Alice Fern Workman of Lakewood, Colo., and Glenna Durham of Lee's Summit, Mo. Guy was honored with seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, his wife Marian's three grandchildren and great-grandson in Missouri. Guy has many nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 15, at Smith Funeral Chapel (West). Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to Big Sky Hospice in Billings.

Cecil K. Clements
Cecil K. Clements, 82, of Shawmut, passed away Thursday, June 11, 1998, at Deaconess Hospital in Billings.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 13, in Perkins Funeral Home in Harlowton. Interment will follow in the Harlowton cemetery.

Leona Hayner
CODY, Wyo. - Leona Hayner, 86, of Cody, passed away Thursday, June 11, 1998, at the West Park Long Term Care Center.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 14, at Ballard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 15, in the funeral home with interment to follow in Riverside cemetery.
