Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, at the Otto cemetery. Ballard Funeral Home of Cody is in charge.

Vernon 'Vern' Dishon
SIDNEY - Vernon "Vern" Dishon, 69, died Monday, Sept. 21, 1998, at the VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sidney with interment in the Fairview cemetery. Fulkerson Funeral Home is in charge.

Clara Melle
PLENTYWOOD - Clara Melle, 89, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1998, at the Sheridan Memorial Nursing Home.
Funeral Liturgy will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with interment in the Plentywood Memorial cemetery. Fulkerson Funeral Home of Plentywood is in charge.

Sherry Heinrich
WILLISTON, N.D. - Sherry Heinrich, 36, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1998, as a result of a motorcycle accident near Fairview, Mont.
Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, at Fulkerson Funeral Home in Williston, and from 5-6 p.m. Sunday and 10-11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, both at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Williston. An Evening Prayer and Rosary service will be at 6 p.m. Sunday at the church. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church.

Alvin M. Keller
Alvin M. Keller found peace on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1998, after a three-year battle with ALS, or Lou Gehrig's Disease.
Born in Fishtail on June 24, 1922, Al was the son of Maury Keller and Mary Yates Keller. He moved with his parents, two sisters and a brother to Great Falls, where he grew up and graduated from Great Falls High.

After war was declared he went to Berkeley, Calif., to work in the shipyards with his father. Al married Kathleen Conlin in Berkeley in 1942, moving back to Great Falls until joining the Navy in the spring of 1944. After his discharge from the service he went to work for the Gillette Safety Razor Co. and joined McKesson & Robbins as a salesman in 1950. He transferred to Cody, Wyo., in 1954, returning to Billings in 1957. He worked as property manager for St. Vincent's Hospital until taking over management of Hospital Laundry Services. He retired in 1988, to pursue his love of hunting, fishing, camping and boating with his children and grandchildren. He tried, and succeeded, in instilling his love for the outdoors and his integrity in his children and his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, a sister and a beloved sister-in-law.

Al is survived by his wife of 56 years, Kay; children, Gerri (Jon) Englert, Sharon (Ralph) Miller, Jim (Rosemary) Keller, and Rick (Jayne) Keller; grandchildren, Brian (Misty), Brent (Tora) and Blake Kober, Rick, and Shane Wagner, Casey Miller, and Jamie, Annamarie and Stacie Keller; great-granddaughters, Teal, Tianna and Clare Kober; brother, Bob, and sister, Bette (Bob) Ball; and numerous special nephews.

Dad, we love and miss you so much! Thank you for being our dad.

Memorial Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 1998, at St. Bernard's Parish.

HORSESHOE BAY, Texas - Ishmael A. McKnight, 81, formerly of Columbus, Mont., died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1998.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at The Church at Horseshoe Bay. Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home of Marble Falls is in charge.

Alvin M. Keller

LEWISTOWN - Judith A. Beck, 89, died Thursday, Aug. 20, 1998, at the Central Montana Skilled Nursing Center.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at the Moore cemetery. Creel Funeral Home of Lewistown is in charge.

Oscar H. Biegel
HARLOWTON - Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Oscar H. Biegel, 70, of Harlowton, passed away at Wheatland Memorial Hospital, Aug. 18, 1998, after a five-year valiant battle with cancer. He never, ever, complained and kept his terrific sense of humor throughout the whole ordeal. Oscar will be greatly missed by so many.
Oscar was born in Harlowton on Jan. 13, 1928, the son of Oscar H. Biegel Sr. and Marie L. Beauchot Biegel. He graduated from Harlowton High School in 1946. Upon high school graduation, Oscar enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country in Korea. In 1949, he married his high school sweetheart, Jeanne Thibadeau. In 1952, Oscar graduated from the University of Montana School of Pharmacy. He then returned to Harlowton to be a pharmacist in the Staley Drug Store. Oscar later operated the business until his 1995 retirement.

Oscar was very active in community affairs, including six years as a city councilman before being elected Mayor and serving 18 years in that position. During that time, Oscar was appointed to the State Board of Directors of the League of Cities and Towns. He put forth so much effort in making his home town a better place to live!

Oscar also served his term as president of the Harlowton Kiwanis Club as well as being a member for 39 years. He belonged to the Chamber of Commerce, the VFW Post 1551, the Wheatland Post 15 American Legion, and was a member of the Montana and American Pharmaceutical Associations. Oscar was very proud to be recently honored as the grand marshal of the Fourth of July Parade celebrations.

Oscar was an active member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, and was active in Harlowton schools as he and Jeanne's five children progressed through their education and all the extra-curricular activities. He worked with the Swim Team and coached Little League Baseball. Oscar also enjoyed traveling, camping, hunting, and fishing with his family, watching his grandchildren's athletic events, playing the piano, visiting and playing cards with his friends, and running his Post and Pole Company.

Oscar is survived by his wife, Jeanne, and his five children and five grandchildren: daughter, Linda Cotton, her husband, Ty, and their children Gina, Tyler, and Adam of Cascade; daughter, Debbie of Bozeman; daughter, Lori Richardson, and her husband, Jay of Salt Lake City, Utah; son, Dr. David Biegel and his fiancÈe, Shannon Manley of Bozeman; son, Dr. Kevin Biegel, his wife, Sue, and children, Shaina and Taylor of Billings. He was preceded in death by his sister, Donna, and his parents.

Oscar's loving memory will be kept alive by his family and friends as they recall the wonderful times spent with him. Oscar was a good-natured, patient, and loving husband, father and grandfather, who had the love and respect of all his family, friends and community. Oscar loved life and lived each day to its fullest! He is leaving behind a legacy of incredible accomplishments and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Vigil Prayer Service will be held Thursday evening, Aug. 20, at Perkins Funeral Hone in Harlowton at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Aug. 21, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Harlowton at 2 p.m. Following the graveside services, there will be a gathering of friends and family at the Harlowton Youth Center.

Memorials in Oscar's name may be sent to the Wheatland Memorial Hospital in Harlowton or the Northern Rockies Cancer Center in Billings.

Raymond Leo Ruff
A memorial service for Raymond Leo Ruff will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bridger. A trust fund has been set up for his child. Contributions may be sent to Audra Ruff, 4853 Plata Del Sol Drive, Las Vegas, Nev. 89121.

Mary Kristy
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Mary Kristy, 84, died Friday, Aug. 14, 1998, at the Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County of cancer.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheridan. Ferries Funeral Home of Sheridan is in charge.

Carl D. Cordell
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Carl D. Cordell, 56, died Monday, Aug. 17, 1998, at his home in Sheridan of cancer.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at Carl and Linda's home, 47 Red Fox Drive. Ferries Funeral Home of Sheridan is in charge.

Charles Robert Vinces
Charles Robert Vinces went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Aug. 7, 1998.
Charles was born on May 15, 1925, in Chicago. As a young man he owned his own business and later joined the Chicago Fire Department where he retired in 1981. Charles was a Navy veteran and served his country in the Korean War and World War II. Antique collecting was a favorite of his and he continued in the antique business until his farewell. Charles had many friends associated with the American Legion Yellowstone Post #4, Yesteryears Antiques, and the Chicago Fire Department.

Charles was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lorraine; two daughters, Darlene and Cherie; and one grandson, Matthew. Charles is and always will be greatly missed.

Mildred D. Sather
Mildred D. Sather, age 83, of Billings, passed away Monday, Aug. 17, 1998, at Eagle Cliff Manor surrounded by her family.
She was born at Northwood, N.D., on March 26, 1915, the daughter of Anton and Ruth (Lowe) Dahl. She was raised and educated at Northwood.

In 1940, she moved to Billings and was married to Grover O. Sather. Mildred worked at Vaughn-Ragsdale Co. for 25 years.

Mildred enjoyed raising flowers, gardening and working in her yard. She liked being with her many friends and enjoyed traveling. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mildred was a member of the American Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Marilyn and Bill Anderson of Greeley, Colo.; a sister, Edna Gensrich of Worden; three grandchildren, Steve and wife, Jeanine Blehm and Susan and husband, Bill Rye of Billings, and Scott and wife, Suzette Blehm of Greeley; five great-grandchildren, Zachary and Jacob Blehm, Christopher and Emily Rye and Madison Paige Blehm; and a special friend, Jeanette Moe of Billings. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Grover, on Feb. 16, 1984, and two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at Smith's Downtown Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. There will be a time of fellowship and refreshments following the graveside service at American Lutheran Church, 5 Lewis Ave.

Memorials may be made to American Lutheran Church or Big Sky Hospice, P.O. Box 35033, Billings, MT 59107.

Claudia Candace Evans
HOUSTON, Texas - Claudia Candace Evans, 88 of Houston, formerly of Billings, passed away Wednesday morning, Aug. 12, 1998, in Houston. She was born in Rochester, Minn., on Nov. 1, 1909, and raised in Melstone, Mont.
Claudia graduated from the Billings Deaconess Hospital Training School for Nurses in 1931 and married Raymond John Evans in 1934. They lived most of their married life in Billings. For the past 12 years, she had lived in Houston, where she was a member of the First Methodist Church.

Mrs. Evans is survived by her sons, Kenneth Ray Evans of Houston and John Gordon Evans of Kalamazoo, Mich.; her daughter, Sandra Lee Miller of Houston; eight grandchildren, Danny Evans, Janelle James, Peter Evans, Alison Smith, Suzanne Miller, Lori Miller, Michael Miller, and Michelle Miller; and three great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church, 2420 13th St. W., Billings, MT 59102. Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist Alderson Chapel has charge of arrangements.

Lester Zeller
Lester Zeller, 65, of Billings died suddenly Monday, Aug. 17, 1998, as a result of congestive heart failure.
He was born Jan. 4, 1933, in Elgin, N.D., a son of Oscar and Lydia Nicklaus Zeller. Lester was raised and educated north of Elgin. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1951 and served two tours on the USS Iowa during the Korean Conflict.

On Oct. 4, 1956, Lester united in marriage with Joyce Zacher in Mullan, Idaho. He worked briefly at the Bunker Hill Mine and Smelter in Kellogg, Idaho. After moving to Billings in 1960, he served in the Reserve Naval Mobil Construction Battalion 18. Lester worked for Montana Power during the transition from the existing Byrd Plant to the new Corrette coal-fired steam plant. He served as officer in charge of the Sea Bee Unit, Billings detachment, Battalion Chief for RNMCB 18, and retired as chief petty officer from the U.S. Navy in 1991. Lester was boiler inspector for the State of Montana until his retirement in 1990. He was a life member of the VFW, member of the American Legion, and volunteer driver for the DAV, and volunteer for both the American Legion and VFW Honor Squad.

Lester enjoyed restoring old antique tractors and attending events. He was especially proud of his Rock Island tractor which he inherited from his father. Lester was a carpenter for many years and in 1980 retired from Carpenters Local Union 1172.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce; two sons, Weyland (Dorothy) Zeller of Peoria, Ariz., and Wendell Zeller of Billings; one daughter, Kelly Zeller of Red Lodge; four grandchildren; his mother, Lydia Zeller of Minot, N.D.; two, sisters, Marilyn Ternus of Minot and Irene Ensminger of Irvine, Calif. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Lawrence.

A Memorial Gathering with Military Honors will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, 1998, at the Flagstaff in Veterans Section 14 of Mountview cemetery with a reception following at the American Legion Club. Cremation has taken place at Cremation or Funeral Gallery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans,
