A super cook and baker, her family especially remembers her dark bread and buns, working crossword puzzles, and playing cards and bingo at the Senior Citizens Center. In 1989 Alice and Lowell went to Norway and were there to celebrate Norwegian Independence Day. At that time they were able to meet some of Alice's relatives.

Due to parental illnesses, she spent an appreciable portion of her childhood in a children's home in Lake Bluff, Ill., and some wonderful foster homes. In recent years she had nearly completed a delightful book about her experiences during this period of time, which, in keeping with her character, were depicted in a positive light, with warm humanity.

After graduating from Lake Forest High School, Corinne married William S. Elliott on June 18, 1947, and they started their married life on a lookout in Glacier Park before William resumed college. She also created lovely notecards which she sold throughout Montana, and to customers elsewhere, as well.

After graduating from Carroll College Summa Cum Laude in 1975, she became a published writer in various periodicals. Professionally, Corinne worked as a proposal writer, a copywriter for a local realtor and radio stations, a public relations writer, and gained mention in Who's Who in American Writers and Who's Who in American Women. At the time of her passing, she was the Administrative Assistant for the Montana Board of Oil and Gas Conservation.

Corinne also loved music, and played the violin for over 50 years and played in symphony orchestras in Illinois and Montana during her life.

She was a former member of the Whitefish Chapter D PEO, and member of AAUW. She also founded and remained an active force for over 20 years in the local Self Realization Fellowship meditation circle in Helena. Her positiveness and cheerfulness ran like a radiant thread throughout all her endeavors in art, writing, music, working, organizing projects, raising children, helping grandchildren, and her many treasured friendships.
