Lloyd E. Peterson
Lloyd E. Peterson, 57 of Billings, passed away Friday afternoon, Nov. 6, 1998, at Deaconess Medical Center. The son of Edwin and Ruby (Hanson) Peterson, he was born in Kenmare, N.D., on May 1, 1941.
Lloyd was raised and educated at Coteau and graduated from high school in Bowbells in 1959. Following graduation, he moved to Billings and attended Eastern Montana College for two years. On Nov. 24, 1961, be married Jeanette Reichert in Roundup. Lloyd worked for the Bearings Supply Company and B.F. Goodrich for several years. In 1985, he was forced to retire due to injuries he received in an automobile accident.

Lloyd was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed fly fishing. He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Lenny Peterson.

Survivors include his father, Edwin Peterson of Bowbells, N.D.; his wife Jeanette of Billings; his two sons, Jeff Peterson and his wife Julie of Billings and Scott Peterson and his wife Cheree of Bozeman; his sister Edwina Wahlund and her husband Larry of Minot, N, D.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist Alderson Chapel. Interment will be held in Bowbells at a later date. Memorials may be sent to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1108 24th St. W., Billings, MT 59102.

Pauline Ereaux
MALTA - Pauline Ereaux, 79, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, at the Great Falls Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at the Adams Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at the Malta cemetery.

Marie M. McConnell
HAYS - Marie M. McConnell, 79, died Friday, Nov. 6, 1998, at her home.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at the St. Paul's Mission. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, with burial at the Grade cemetery. Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge.

Linda L. Lawson
LAUREL - Linda L. Lawson, 55, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, at her home.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at the Riverside cemetery in Billings. Cremation or Funeral Gallery is in charge.

Julijana Measki
LAUREL - Julijana Measki, 78, passed away at home on Nov. 6, 1998.
She was born Oct. 23, 1920 in Marino Selo, Croatia. She came to the United States with her husband and two daughters in 1965. Cleveland Ohio, was her home until 1988. At which time, she moved to Laurel to be with her daughter, Milka. She was a devoted and loved wife, mother, and grandmother.

Julijana is survived by her husband, Ivan Measki; her daughters: Milka Love and husband, Jeffrey, of Laurel, and Andjelka Falge and husband, Ted, of Burlington, Conn.; and four grandchildren.

The vigil will take place 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at Smith Funeral Chapel, Laurel, with visitation.

Funeral Mass is at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Laurel.

Bonnie Rae (Hollister) Crockett
Bonnie Rae (Hollister) Crockett passed away on Nov. 5, 1998, at the Deaconess Hospital in Billings, due to complications from a long illness. Bonnie was born on March 28, 1947 to Ray E. and Beverly (Droste) Hollister. Bonnie graduated from Billings Senior High School in 1965 and was employed by Gambles Warehouse.
Bonnie Hollister married Gary Crockett on Dec. 29, 1971. To this union two sons were born. Bonnie was a member of the Faith Chapel Church and a member of the Moss Agate Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.

Bonnie is survived by her sons: Ryan Crockett of Billings, Scott (Jodi) Crockett of Boise, Idaho; a grandson: Alexander Crockett of Boise, Idaho; her parents: Ray and Beverly Hollister of Forsyth; a brother: Bob (Marilyn) Hollister, of Forsyth; nieces: Sandy (Kodi) Donley of Forsyth, Patty (Ben) Williams of Helena; and one grandniece: Abby Williams of Helena.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998, at the Faith Chapel in Billings with a burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Billings.

Memorial may be sent to Ryan Crockett and Scott Crockett, 602 Grand Ave., Billings, MT 59101 or to Eagle Mount, 2822 Third Ave. N. #203, Billings, MT 59101.

Hilma O. Grayless
MILES CITY - Hilma O. Grayless, 92, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998, at the Holy Rosary Extended Care.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, in the Chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, in the family lot in the New Tacoma cemetery in Tacoma, Wash. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home is in charge.

Donald R. 'Bud' Dougherty
On Nov. 6, 1998, Donald R. "Bud" Dougherty went to meet the Lord. He was 86 years old. He was born in Fairfield, Calif. to Frank and Catherine (Flanagan) Dougherty. His father worked the railroad and moved the family to Washington state when Bud was a child. Sports were always an important part of his life. In high school he played basketball, football, and baseball. He graduated from Everett High School in 1930. After the death of his father in 1934 he moved to Montana. He worked for his Uncle Frank Flanagan, owner of the 17 Bar later the 17 Club. He was a member of Ashlar Lodge, No. 29, A.F. and A.M. He played softball for many years and in 1993 was inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame in Billings. He also umpired many years for the America Legion baseball teams. On Aug. 7th, 1937, he married Laura Baker, in Billings. He served in the Navy during WWII. Bud started at the U.S. Post Office before the war and continued there for 35 years before his retirement. After his retirement, his passion for golf took over where softball had been. He played many years on regular leagues and then senior leagues in Billings. Last summer he played on two senior leagues capturing the best of flight many times in his age group. During the fall of 1997, he decided to join a senior bowling league in which he was active in until last week.
Everyone who knew or met Bud liked him. He related to all people, but he especially loved little children. He was dearly loved by his family and will be truly missed. He is preceded in death by his wife.

He is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Doreen Salfer (Wayne), of Billings, and Mrs. Ceylon Mace (Russell), of Woodbury, Minn.; six grandchildren: Clayton Salfer, Mrs. Ladonna Gordon (Greg), Mrs. Brenda Sundeen (Andrew), all of Billings, Jennifer Jessica, and Jillian Mace of Woodbury; two great-grandchildren: Jeremiah Gordon, Carissa Sundeen and a step-great-grandchild: Sandi Coakley.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Smith Downtown Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be sent to the charity of one's choice.

Carmen J. Walker
POWELL, Wyo. - Carmen J. Walker, 84, died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998, at the Powell Nursing Home.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at the Miratsky-Easton Funeral Chapel.

Theresa G. Maddaus
Theresa G. Maddaus, 68, of Billings passed away at her home on Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998, of emphysema. She was born April 3, 1930, in Garland, Wyo., the daughter of Julius D. and Mary Ertl Keller. She was raised and educated in Powell, graduating in 1948. Theresa married Raymond C. Maddaus in Billings on Nov. 3, 1951, to whom she was married for 46 years until his death Feb. 25, 1998.
Survivors include four children and their spouses, Mike, Dan, Debbie Boehm, and Diane Maddaus; two granddaughters, Jeanette and Nikki Boehm; two brothers, Bill and Walter Keller; and two sisters, Mary Shelton and Lea Larson. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one brother, Ernie Keller.

Private family memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Big Sky Hospice, P.O. Box 35033, Billings, MT 59107. Cremation has taken place at Cremation or Funeral Gallery.

Charles 'Mitch' Lipsey Carlson
Charles "Mitch" Lipsey Carlson fought a long valiant battle with diabetes. Through his many years of pain and illness, Mitch didn't complain. Anyone whose life he touched could see the meaning of tolerance and patience. His sense of humor was outweighed only by his determination to live.
Mitch's last request was to leave the hospital to be at home with his family for his remaining hours. Somehow he knew.

Mitch crossed over his valley gently Friday, Nov. 6, 1998, surrounded and held with love by his family.

He was born in Billings on May 17, 1941, to Hazel and Mitch Lipsey. Mitch grew up on a ranch in Pryor country and loved to break his own horses. He married Angie Kuntz in 1960. He married Marla Chriske in 1972.

Mitch is survived by Angie and Marla with whom he still maintained a special bond; a son, Charlie and his fiancÈe, Dana of Billings; three daughters: Sandra Carlson and her fiancÈe, Don of Billings, Judy Leighton and her husband, Eric, and Echo of the family home; Grandchildren: Yvonne, Anthony and Erica Leighton, Tiffany and Ronnie Carlson and Michael Angel. "Bye Bappa"

Mitch was given several extra years thanks to the dedication and care from Dr. McClave and Dr. Lovitt to whom we are eternally grateful.

Mitch is preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Lipsey Carlson, and his father, Mitchel Lipsey.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 1998, at Smith Downtown Chapel. Interment will follow at Mountview cemetery.

Ashley Marie Damm
BROADUS - Ashley Marie Damm, the daughter of Jodi Damm and Richard Hurley, of Broadus, was stillborn on Monday, Nov. 9, 1998, at the Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City.
Her survivors include her parents, her grandparents: Kathy and Bill Alderman, of Broadus; William R. and Linda Hurley, of Broadus; Stanley and Georgia Damm, of Broadus; Edward and Cleo Fessler, of Miles City; and Willie D. Baxter, of Rockdale, Texas. She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Spencer Damm.

Private family visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Broadus. Private family funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13. Interment will follow in the family lot in the Valleyview cemetery. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home is in charge.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the family for a memorial marker for Ashley Marie.

Elizabeth Zent
Elizabeth Zent went peacefully into the arms of her Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998. Elizabeth was born to George and Dorothea Jochim on April 26, 1911, in Strausburg, N.D.
She married Frank Zent in November 1933.

Survivors include four sons: Clarence (Evelyn); George (Camille) of Billings; Eugene (Beverly) of Oklahoma City; William (Mary) of Billings; and three daughters: Mary (Marvin) Milton, Apple Valley, Calif.; Ann (Joseph) Greff of Cheney, Wash.; and Dorothy Stewart of Billings. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, and two sisters: Cecilia of Portland, Ore., and Eva of Vancouver, and a brother, Matthew of Portland.

A vigil service will be held 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at the Smith West Chapel, 304 34th St. W. Memorial Mass will be held 12 noon at St. Patrick's Co-Cathedral Catholic Church with interment to follow at Holy Cross cemetery. Memorials may be made to Big Sky Hospice, Box 35033, Billings, MT 59107.

Ted Miller
REED POINT - Ted Miller, of Reed Point, lost his battle with cancer on Oct. 13, 1998, surrounded by his beloved wife, Susan and his children.
Ted was born on Dec. 11, 1935, at Park City, a son of George and Dorothy Kober Miller. Ted was raised in Absarokee and graduated from Absarokee High School in 1953.

Ted and Molly Jo Allington married on June 9, 1956, in Absarokee. Ted worked at various jobs in Montana and Wyoming and went to work for Lines Inc., in 1960, a family owned company. In June of 1975 he went to work for Holy Cross Electric of Glenwood Springs, Colo., from which he retired in late 1997.

On July 1, 1994, he married his present wife, Susan Sibayan, in Glenwood Springs. Ted loved his wife, Susan, his children, grandchildren, his family and his pickup. He enjoyed anything to do with horses and mules, team penning, hunting and teamster competitions with his dad. He was always first to lend a helping hand to a friend, neighbor or a stranger. He always had a twinkle in his eye, a grin on his face and a humorous story to tell. Ted had a real sharp eye. Ted rode a good horse.

Ted is survived by his wife, Susan; his parents, George and Dorothy Miller of Absarokee; three children: son, Dirk and Lisa Miller of Craig, Colo., daughters, Carmen and Dino Baldizan and Robin and Allen Goad, both of Rifle, Colo.; brother, Chuck and Jean Miller of Fort Collins, Colo.; and sisters: Doris and Harvey Madison and Georgette and Don Scheaffer, both of Absarokee; three stepdaughters, Diana Sibayan, Elizabeth Leeka, Shelly Sibayan-Colvin, one stepson, Christopher Sibayan, all of Denver, Colo.; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Absarokee. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to: Big Sky Hospice (Stillwater Team) P.O. Box 1049, Billings, Mont. 59103 or Immanuel Lutheran Church, Absarokee, 59001 or Cobblestone Preservation Committee, P.O. Box 176, Absarokee, Mont. 59001. Karl G. Reddies Sr.
WOLF POINT - Karl G. "Red" Reddies Sr., 72, died Nov. 15, 1998, at the Trinity Hospital in Wolf Point.
Karl was born on Jan. 31, 1926, the son of William and Emma Reddies at Big Stone City, S.D. He was raised and attended schools there, graduating from Big Stone City High School in June 1943. In 1943, he went into the Navy and served as a seaman on the destroyer USS Remey in the South Pacific during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1946. He married Lois Reddoor after the military.

Karl moved to Poplar and worked in the oil field until 1982 and then moved to Miles City. He drove semis until 1995 after which he moved to Polson, where he lived until recently returning to Wolf Point. Karl was a member of the Teamsters union.

He loved fishing, working on trucks and was a sports fan.

Survivors include two sons, Guy of Sidney and Karl Jr. of Glasgow; two daughters, Kathryn Reddies of Wolf Point and Wendy Reddies of Poplar; a twin brother, Henry Reddies of Redfield, S.D.; 16 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Karl was preceded in death by a son, Paul Reddies in 1995.

Visitations will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the Clayton Memorial Chapel in Poplar with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 2 p.m. at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar with Rev. Fr. Michael Schneider of Poplar officiating. Military services will be held by the Nathan Crazy Bull American Legion Post No. 54 of Poplar with interment at Chelsea cemetery.
