PLENTYWOOD - Murray Hunter, 83, died Friday, Dec. 18, 1998, at Sheridan Memorial Nursing Home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at the nursing home with interment in Eden Valley cemetery, east of Reserve. Fulkerson Funeral Home is in charge.

Harris Oliver Johnson
GLENDIVE - Harris Oliver Johnson, 78, formerly of Williston, N.D., died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998, at the Eastern Montana Veterans Home.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. (CDT) Monday, Dec. 21, at the Everson Memorial Chapel with interment in the Riverview cemetery, both in Williston. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.

John Frederick Johnson
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - John Frederick Johnson, 91, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998, at Westview Health Care Center.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, in the Chapel of St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Kane Funeral Home is in charge.

Julia Lone Elk
ROSEBUD CREEK - Julia Lone Elk, 98 years old of Rosebud Creek, has returned home to be with her Creator, Maheo. She passed away at home in the early morning of Dec. 16, 1998.
Julia was the Eldest Traditional Cheyenne of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe. She was proud of her heritage and her Native Tongue and her Cheyenne Culture. Julia was born on Aug. 27, 1900, along the Rosebud Creek area, a daughter of the late William Killsnight and Cora Whitevoice. She was a descendant of Chief LittleWolf, a great and Noble Chief who led the Northern Cheyenne back from Oklahoma to their native homeland in Montana. Grandma enjoyed Indian Dancing in her early years in life. Another favorite pastime was riding horseback up along the homestead of her relatives, along the Rosebud and Muddy creeks. Her other interests included beadwork, a new pair of fully beaded moccasins for each newborn grandchild. She was a professional at cutting dry meat and other traditional foods and strongly believed in the Cheyenne traditional ways of life.
Recently, Julia and other Cheyenne Elders were honored with Associate of Arts Degrees from the Dull Knife Memorial College.
Survivors include an adopted son, Martin Killsnight Jr.; a great-great-granddaughter she helped raise, Julia Michelle Killsnight; her other grandchildren of the family home, (Martin) Claudine Cano, Alicia, Josiah, Chenona and Lupe Cano, and the most recent addition fifth generation granddaughter, Elena Not Afraid Julia has numerous other grandchildren, these grandchildren have brought a great deal of joy to her life; nephews, Roger Killsnight Sr., Avon Killsnight, Ralph Killsnight, Francis Killsnight and the late Lois and Eli Killsnight; nieces, Evellyn Morgan, Irene Bearquiver, Molly Medicine Elk, Agnes Littlehead, Regina Whiteman, Lucy Redhat, June Americanhorse, the late Annie and Carrie Ridgebear. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Lone Elk; her brothers and sisters, Eugene Fisher, Martin Killsnight, William Killsnight Jr., Lois Roman Nose, Willis Killsnight, John Cole Killsnight, Rutherford Willis Killsnight, George Killsnight, Mary SoldierWolf, Josie Elsie, Clubfoot, Rilla Tallbull, Alice ShellRedRobe, Helen Eva Horseroads.
Most of Julia's brothers belonged to the Chief's Society. Julia will be remembered as a caring and compassionate person with a great sense of humor and ability to tell stories.
A wake service will be held on Dec. 19, at 7 p.m. at the family home, Cano Residence (Rhea District), for the immediate family. On Dec. 20, 1998, at 8 p.m. Rosary and wake service will be in the social room at the Catholic Church in Lame Deer. Funeral Services are on Dec. 21, 1998, at 10 a.m. at the Boys and Girls Club with interment at the family cemetery, Rosebud Creek. Rausch Funeral Home is in charge.

June P. Montgomery
BOZEMAN - June P. Montgomery, 75, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, in the Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel.

Guy Lynn St. Pierre
SEATTLE, Wash. - Guy Lynn St. Pierre, 28, formerly of Rocky Boy, Mont., died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998, at Harbor View Medical Center in Seattle as a result of injuries sustained in a work-related fall.
A traditional Wake will be held Sunday, Dec. 20, at the Rocky Boy Lutheran Church Annex. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at the Rocky Boy Lutheran Church with interment in the Rocky Boy cemetery. Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge.

Charles F. Young
MEETEETSE, Wyo. - Charles F. Young, age 83, passed away Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, at his home in Meeteetse. He was born March 6, 1915, in Chadron, Neb., the son of James Moses and Sarah Slover Young. He married Isabell Cammock on April 5, 1941, in Cody. Charles served in the U. S. Navy.
Charles and Isabell lived in the Sheridan area before coming to Meeteetse. They carried mail in the Kirby to Decker area for over 20 years. Charles was also involved in the ranching and coal mining industries in Sheridan. The couple came to Meeteetse 30 years ago. Isabell and Charlie owned and operated Young's Service Station and Cafe in Meeteetse for the past 29 years.
Charlie was an all-around handyman for the Meeteetse community. He and his wife were partners in everything throughout their lives together. With no children of their own, Charlie and Isabell helped raise their nieces and nephews and did many special things for them over the years.
His survivors include his wife of 57 years, Isabell Young of Meeteetse; two brothers, Joe Young of Longview, Wash., and John Young of Decker, Mont.; four sisters, Mary Young and Larena Adsit of Kirby, Mont., Sarah Wyrick of Baker, Mont., and Adeline Rice of Seattle, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
"In tears we watched you sinking; we watched you fade away. Our hearts were almost broken. You fought so hard to stay. But when we saw you sleeping, so peaceful, free from pain, we could not wish you back to suffer that again. Your memory to us is a keepsake with which we will never part. Though God has you in His keeping, we still have you in our hearts."
A memorial service for Charles F. Young will be held Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998, at 10:30 a.m. at Pioneer Baptist Church in Meeteetse. Interment of cremains will be at a later date in Riverside cemetery, Thermopolis.

Ann Lee Zimmerman
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Ann Lee Zimmerman, 81, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, at Sheridan Manor.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at Holy Name Church with interment in the Sheridan Municipal cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Pennsylvania. Kane Funeral Home is in charge.

Marian Jacobs Tjeltveit
RENO, Nev. - Marian Jacobs Tjeltveit, 69, formerly of Billings, died Nov. 3, 1998, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.
Memorial services were held Nov. 9 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in Reno with inurnment in Our Mother of Sorrows cemetery. Walton Funeral Home was in charge.

Anita Irene Luke
GLENDIVE - Anita Irene Luke, 94, died Friday, Oct. 30, 1998, at the Glendive Medical Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at the Chapel of the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home with interment in the Dawson County cemetery.

Hansine Carey
MILES CITY - Hansine Carey, 94, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 1998, at the Holy Rosary Extended Care Facility.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, in the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home with interment in the family lot in the Custer County cemetery.

Robert G. McMakin
FALLON - Robert G. "Bob" McMakin, 80, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998.
Prayer services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, in the Evangelical Church of North America. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, in the Sunset Gardens cemetery in Glendive. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home is in charge.

Marguerite O. Prestfeldt
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Marguerite O. Prestfeldt, 83, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Ferries Funeral Home is in charge.

Frank Stebbleton
GLASGOW - Frank Stebbleton, 71, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital of natural causes.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at the First United Methodist Church with interment in Highland cemetery. Bell Mortuary is in charge.

Grace E. Danforth
MILES CITY - Grace E. Danforth, 84, of Miles City, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 1998, in Lewistown.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, in the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home with interment in the family lot in Custer County cemetery.

Margaret Gavne Beach
LIVINGSTON - Margaret Gavne Beach, 89, formerly of Big Timber, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998, at Livingston Health and Rehab Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, in the chapel of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home with graveside committal and interment in Mountainview cemetery in Big Timber.

Jill Marie Kelly
Jill Marie Kelly of Billings, formerly of Red Lodge, died Dec. 15, 1998, in Billings. She was the daughter of Jack and Nicki (Endicott) Kelly, born Dec. 12, 1973, in Billings. Her family moved from Billings to Red Lodge in 1987, where Jill attended Red Lodge High School and graduated in 1992. Jill married Richard Jakkola, July 31, 1993, and they moved to Elko, Nev. After her divorce, she moved back to Red Lodge. Jill suffered many illnesses in her young life, and is now at peace. She was 25 years old.
She is survived by her parents, Jack and Nicki Kelly of Red Lodge; sister, Lisa Kelly of Red Lodge; brother, James and wife, Sandra Kelly of Red Lodge; grandmothers, Patricia Kelly and Stella Endicott; one niece, Kaitlynn Kelly; two nephews, Conner and Cole Kelly; and numerous aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandfathers.
Vigil service will be Thursday, Dec. 17, at 7 p.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Red Lodge. Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, Dec. 18, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Red Lodge with interment at Red Lodge cemetery. There will be a reception following the interment at St. Agnes Catholic Church.
Dahl Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Ida A. Anderson
RED LODGE - Ida A. Anderson, 90, also of Kinsey, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at Cedar Wood Villa.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at the Olcott Funeral Chapel. Prayer services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, in the Chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City with interment in the Custer County cemetery in Miles City.

Candace Marie Lindemulder
OAKLAND, Calif. - Candace Marie Lindemulder, 20, formerly of the Fort Belknap Reservation and Havre, Mont., died Dec. 8, 1998, in Oakland.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Assembly of God Church in Columbus, Mont., with interment on the Lindemulder Ranch, 14 miles north of Columbus on Rapelje Road.

Charles 'Charlie' Ferguson
Charles Edward Ferguson, age 65, died at his home on Dec. 21, 1998, with his family at his side. Charlie was born in Eckles Mill, Md., Sept. 9, 1933, the first of five children to Clarence and Mary Ferguson.
The family moved to Baltimore in the late 1930s. Charlie joined the Air Force in 1950 and while stationed in Tacoma, Wash., he met the love of his life, Doreen McNeely Prull. They were married on June 20, 1953, and over the coming years had four children. He served in the military for 20 years and upon retiring in 1970, Charlie went to work with the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller. He moved to Billings in 1973.
Sports played an important part in Charlie's life. He participated in softball and volleyball team sports while in the military, coached the Billings Central Catholic High School golf team for nearly 10 years, kept the Central boys and girls basketball team's scorebook and golfed regularly. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Charlie had several careers, including working for St. Pius X Catholic Church School, Par 3 Golf Course, and for the past five-and-a-half years, Wal-Mart.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Doreen; one son, Tim Ferguson; and three daughters, Pat Ferguson, Mary Ann Monson, and Joan Getchell; along with five grandchildren, Dustin and Charlie Monson, Alex and Ashley Ferguson, and Marisa Getchell. He is also survived by his mother, two brothers and two sisters.
A Vigil service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998, at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Memorial Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Pius X Catholic Church with interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. A luncheon will follow at St. Pius. Dahl Funeral Chapels is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Big Sky Hospice, Box 31158, Billings, 59107 or to St. Pius X Catholic Church, 717 18th St. W., Billings, 59102.

Marion Rulon Anderson
COWLEY, Wyo. - Marion Rulon Anderson, 79, of Cowley, died Friday, Dec. 11, 1998, in the Powell Nursing Home in Powell, Wyo.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Haskell Funeral Home in Lovell, Wyo., and one hour before the funeral services at the Cowley L.D.S. Chapel in Cowley. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Cowley church with interment in the Cowley cemetery.
