Ford Edison Martin
TERRY - Ford Edison Martin, 81, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 1998.
Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, in Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Community Presbyterian Church, with interment at the Prairie County cemetery.

Lisa Ann Nagel DVM
Lisa Ann Nagel was born on June 22, 1965 in Billings. She peacefully passed away on Saturday morning, Dec. 12, 1998 from complications of a rare form of lymphoma. She was surrounded by family and friends.
Lisa graduated from Billings Senior High School and Eastern Montana College. She then went on to veterinary school at Colorado State University, earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1991.
After graduation, Lisa returned to Billings and worked for Heath Veterinary Hospital. She then went on to pursue a private practice, "House Calls for Pets." Lisa's kind, gentle, compassionate manner with clients and animals made her successful.
She enjoyed hunting and fishing with her nephews and family. She especially loved camping with her friends and the "boys."
Lisa is survived by her parents, Richard and Ann Nagel; a brother, Dale and his wife Benita Nagel; a sister, Cindy Wildin; three nephews, Chad and Daniel Wildin, and Eric Ellingson; a niece, Jodi Ellingson; her best friend and companion, Donna Oster; a brother-in-law, Dan Wildin; numerous aunts and uncles in Billings and England; and many other friends and clients.
We love you Lisa and we'll miss you always.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 14 at the Smith West Chapel, 304 34th St. W. Cremation has taken and interment will be at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Northern Rockies Cancer Center, Billings, MT. Smith West Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Oscar J. Olson
BUTTE - Oscar Julius Olson, 89, died on Dec. 11, 1998, at St. James Community Hospital. Born Dec. 18, 1908, in Austin, Minn., to Julius and Gertrude Olson, he spent his early life farming in rural Blooming Prairie, Minn. He married Grace Oline Jacobson on July 25, 1936, in Northwood, Iowa.
During WWII Oscar drove bus in Austin, and from the early 1950s until the mid 1980s, he was a candy salesman. He was active in his church and was a charter member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Austin. He enjoyed many hours with Doris and Bob Harber of Blooming Prairie. He was proud of his Norwegian heritage and was a member of Sons of Norway.
In May of 1996, Oscar moved to Butte, Mont., to be closer to his sons and their families. He was a member of Gold Hill Lutheran Church, Butte, and enjoyed the fellowship of the 55+ group.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Gertrude, brother, Clifford, wife Grace, in 1979, and daughter Marilyn Berg, in 1995. Oscar is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Merv and Joyce Olson of Butte, Dale and Anne Olson of Bozeman, Mont., and son-in-law, Bob Berg of Heyworth, Ill. He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Charissa Reid, Dave Olson, Naomi Olson; Troy Berg, Dawn Klintworth, Amanda Rios, Aaron Berg; John Olson, Sarah Olson, and eight great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at Gold Hill Lutheran Church, Butte, on Dec. 15 at 11 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. There will be a memorial service after Christmas, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Austin, Minn., with interment in Blooming Prairie.
The Family Suggest Memorials be made to Gold Hill Lutheran Church, in Butte, Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Austin, Minn., or the American Diabetes Association Montana Affiliate.

Lloyd O. Pederson
A memorial reception and luncheon will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, 1998, at the Al Bedoo Shrine Temple Lodge Room, 1125 Broadwater Ave for Lloyd 0. Pederson. Mr. Pederson died Nov. 25, 1998, in Missoula, after a lengthy illness.
Memorials may be made to the Helene Barnett Memorial Scholarship Fund (Huntley Project High School), P.O. Box 80062, Billings, Mont., 59808. Burial was in Hardin cemetery.

Jennifer Nemer Sibinger
and Adam Sibinger
Jennifer Nemer Sibinger and her husband Adam Sibinger died Thursday, Dec. 10, 1998, in a multi-car accident near Greeley, Colo. Jenny and Adam had been making their home together in Breckenridge, Colo. They met a year ago while skiing at Thanksgiving time. They were married in Evergreen, Colo., this Thanksgiving, Nov. 26, 1998. They were very happy together.
Jenny was born Sept. 30, 1977 in Billings. She was raised and educated here, graduating from Billings Senior in 1996 where she was student body president. She was attending Colorado State, studying nutritional science. Jenny had touched everyone she met since she was just a kid. Intelligent and a leader, Jenny was a healthy young woman with a wonderful laugh. An awesome swimmer, she loved all sports, including her newfound passion, snow boarding. She loved the outdoors, travel, good food and friends. She was especially close to her brother, David.
Survivors include her parents, Bob and Linda Nemer of Billings, her brother Dave and his wife Liz of Billings, her grandparents, Maury and Zella Nemer of Billings and Hershel and Phyllis Feldman of Delray Beach, Fla., and aunts and uncles, Raule and Bob Topp and their children, Harrison and Simon of Evergreen, Colo., Douglas and Beth Feldman and their children Mike and Ryan of Elm Grove, Wis., and Jeff and Judy Feldman of Bozeman. Jenny was preceded in death by her grandmother, Sue Feldman.
Adam Sibinger was a Hungarian citizen. Raised and educated in Hungary, he was the son of Yanos Sibinger and Zsuzanna Nagy Sibinger. He had been living in the United States for the past five years.
He is survived by his parents, and a sister Esther, a student in Sweden.
Funeral services for Jennifer will be 1 p.m. Monday at Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist, Alderson Chapel with interment in Beth Aaron cemetery. Funeral services, with interment in Beth Aaron cemetery, for Adam will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Boys and Girls Club.

Louis Carl Weber
Louis Carl Weber, 83, passed away at his home on Friday, Dec. 11, 1998. Louie was born Nov. 2, 1915, the son of Frank and Elizabeth Weber, in Ipswitch, S.D. He married Patricia Mueller in Billings on July 26, 1941.
He served in the Navy during WWII and settled in Billings thereafter, working as a welder, until opening his own business in 1957. He operated Webers Blacksmith and Welding until 1977, wherein he retired to a life of fishing and leisure.
He is survived by his four sons; Raymond and his wife, Barbara; James and his wife, Robin; Dale and his wife, Sharon; Timothy and his wife, Kathy; all of Billings, as well as four grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren. He also leaves behind a brother-in-law, Mike Mueller, and his wife, Eunice; and three sisters-in-law, Rita Freund, Virginia Mueller, and Siche Mueller, all of Billings.
He was preceded in death by his wife (on Dec. 1, 1982) and his 13 brothers and sisters.
Cremation has taken place. His Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998. Interment will take place at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the St. Pius X Church Building Fund. Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist had charge of arrangements.

Edith 'Tiny' Burke
LAUREL - Edith Marie Moser Burke, 75, of Laurel, died of cancer on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 1998, at Evergreen Laurel Care Center.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, in the Spruce Grove Community Center in Laurel. Cremation has taken place. Smith Funeral Chapel-Laurel is in charge of arrangements.

Naomi Lincoln
DENTON - Naomi Lincoln, 84, of Denton, died in her sleep Thursday, Dec. 10, 1998, at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings after a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, at the Cloyd Chapel in Lewistown, with interment to follow in the Lewistown City cemetery.

Rev. Malvin Parker
LIVINGSTON - The Rev. Malvin David Parker, 57, of Livingston, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 1998, in Livingston Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Livingston. Following the services, the body will be forwarded to Chattanooga, Tenn., for additional services and burial. Franzen-Davis Funeral Home of Livingston is in charge of local arrangements.

Floyd Real Bird
HARDIN - Floyd Real Bird, 72, of rural Hardin passed away Thursday, Dec. 10, 1998 in the Billings Deaconess Medical Center
Eihaataakinneesh "Rides different Horse" a Crow youth name, was born April 25, 1926 in Crow Agency, a son of Mark and Florence Medicine Tail Real Bird. He was raised by his grandparents, Frank Bethune and Annie Real Bird. He attended schools in Crow Agency and Hardin and later attended Billings Business College.
Floyd enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1944 and served during WW II. He was wounded during the invasion of Germany was awarded several medals including the Purple Heart, Victory Ribbon, Good Conduct Ribbon, American Theatre Ribbon, two Bronze Campaign Stars, European African Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon and a Combat Infantryman Badge. He received his Honorable Discharge in 1945. Because of his warrior history during WWII, he was honored among the Crow people at events and gatherings on the reservation. He was a traditional man, known for his abilities to make Crow traditional objects. He used his mentoring skills to teach his family Crow philosophy and traditional ways.
lhchishe'eleennichish " Hits Himself on the Head" a Crow adult name, raised cattle and horses along the Big Horn River. He took great pride in raising excellent roping and race horses. During his younger years, he participated in many rodeos as a calf roper, winning the Bridger stampede in 1953 and the Crow Derby in 1967. In 1995, he was a member of the World Champion Handgame Tournament Team that was held at the Schmitzum Pow Wow in New Haven, Conn. He also actively participated as an arrow thrower for the Reno District and was a member of the Big Horn District Handgames team. Floyd was involved in the Custer Battle reenactment for many years.
Floyd married Katie Bear Below on Oct. 13, 1945. She died in 1983.
He was a member of the St. Dennis Catholic Church, Tobacco Society, Sun Dance Society, Sweat Lodge, Whistling Water Clan and a child of the Greasy Mouth Clan. He was President of the Native American Church, Frank Bethune Chapter and was commander of the Crow Nation VFW Absaalooke Post #5503. He was also a past member of the Crow Executive Committee, Little Big Horn College Board of Trustees and Crow Housing director, also a member of the Republican Party.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, James, George and Edison and two sisters, Martha Little Light and Lorraine Moccasin.
"He was respected by his family, always held in the highest regard."
Floyd considered all of his nephews and nieces as his children, however, he significantly contributed to the parenting of Scott Russell, Barry, Shawn, Annie and Dr. Lanny Real Bird. Survivors include one sister, Margo Real Bird of Garryowen and two brothers, Pius (Cordellia) of Wyola and Charlie (Ramona) of Garryowen and numerous nephews and nieces.
Rosary will be recited 3 p.m. Sunday in the Bullis Funeral Chapel.
Funeral mass win be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday in the Crow Agency St. Dennis Catholic Church. Interment with military honors will follow in the Crow Agency cemetery. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Melvin Marcus VanEpps
Melvin Marcus VanEpps, age 88, of Billings, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 1998, at Western Manor Nursing Home.
He was born May 11, 1910, in Rapid City, S.D., the son of Howard and Mary (Campbell) VanEpps. He graduated from high school in Rapid City and lived there until joining the U.S. Army during WW II. He moved to the Billings area in 1946 and worked on various ranches and worked at various jobs in Billings.
Survivors include a niece, Beverly (Collin) Voight of Wyoming; and three nephews, Jerry Papka of California, Marvin Papka of Denver, and Ray Papka of Cleveland, Ohio.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, in the Veterans Section of Mountview cemetery. Smith's Downtown Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Delores M. Walter
LAUREL - Delores M. Walter, 67, of Laurel, passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Her family was at her side.
She was born in Billings, May 9, 1931, a daughter of Daniel and Mollie Amen. She attended grade school at Elder Grove and graduated from Billings Senior High in 1949. She married Robert L. Walter, Sept. 16, 1950; the couple then lived in the Billings Heights, where they farmed and had a dairy farm until 1970. They moved to Philipsburg, Belfry and Red Lodge. Delores moved to Absarokee in 1980 and was employed at Montana Silversmiths. Mrs. Walter moved to Laurel in the spring of 1995 to be close to her family.
Delores had many joys in live, gardening, football, baseball, playing cards, fishing, ceramics, embroidering and reading.
Mom was a very special person when it came to her family and the joy she had with her grandchildren. She had many friends throughout her life, co-workers and acquaintances from the places she lived.
She is survived by her four children: Robert J. Walter (Carol) of Laurel; William B. Walter (Kelly) of Anchorage, Alaska; Lorraine Kokkeler of Laurel; and Terri A. Jackson (Jack) of Laurel. One brother, George Amen (Marlene) of Billings. Six grandchildren that her life has touched, each one in his or her own special way.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Mom, because of the special person you were you will be greatly missed by your sons, daughters, grandchildren, friends and relatives. You were truly loved by all.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at Smith Funeral Chapel-Laurel. Cremation will follow services with interment later in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Billings.

Edna Woodall
Edna Woodall, 89, formerly of Gridley, Calif., passed away Wednesday evening, Dec. 9, 1998, at Deaconess Medical Center in Billings.
Mrs. Woodall is survived by two sisters, Louise Simmons of Live Oak, Calif., and Roberta Swigart of Kansas City, Mo., along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and services are pending in California. Smith West Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.

Rosa Keller
SIDNEY - Rosa Keller, 84, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998, at the Sidney Health Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Fulkerson Memorial Chapel with interment in the Sidney cemetery.

Kennard 'Ken' Schmitt
SIDNEY - Kennard "Ken" Schmitt, 44, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998, at the Sidney Health Center.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment will be at the Sidney cemetery under the direction of the Fulkerson Funeral Home of Sidney.
