Mr. Kenyatta Malicrishun Williams, 27, of 4317 Orchid Drive, known to all as "Boo Man" passed away Thursday, May 24, 2001, unexpectedly. He was born March 18, 1974, in Winston-Salem, where he attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County public schools. He was previously employed by Wake Forest University, Parrish Tire Co. and ANS Home Improvements. Kenyatta was a former member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church but recently joined the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his loving parents, mother Sharon Stewart; stepfather Aldeen Stewart; father Willis H. Williams of Alexandria, Va.; two daughters, Dearia Hearts and Ateka Keanna Williams; a brother, Neil Stewart of the home; his maternal grandparents, Mary Lee James and Joseph Middleton; his paternal grandmother, Frances Ring; great-grandmother Anna Lee Thompson; three half sisters Peaches Dockery, Monica Wilkins of Greensboro and Deanna C. Frazier; two half brothers Garland Dockery and Harvey Dawson Houston; three stepbrothers, Aldeen Miller, Benjamin Stewart and Senaca Dean Dixon; four uncles, Obie Lee Ring of Dallas, Texas, Tony Ring, Donald Ring and Haywood Stancil, all of Winston-Salem; four great-aunts, Carrie James, Alma Holton, Rosa Lee Burroughs and Christine Moses, all of Winston-Salem; his goddaughters, Ciera Allen and Breanna Twiggs; godmother Ellen Tomlinson Carter; godsister Anthonya Tomlinson Williams; godbrother Anthony Tomlinson; devoted friend Marsha Twiggs; devoted cousin Erica Burroughs; special friends Randy Wilds and Jorieka Downey; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Bernard Pate officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. WRIGHT

Mr. William Odell Wright Jr., affectionately known as "Pictureman," of 1180 Addison Avenue was born in Union County to the late William O. and Kathleen Massey Wright Sr. He departed this life on Sunday, May 27, at his residence after a period of illness. A native of Union County, he was a resident of Winston-Salem for most of his life, where he had been employed by N.C. Baptist Hospital. Mr. Wright was a member of Alpha & Omega Metaphysical Church of Faith. Surviving are two daughters, LyRynda Wright of Winston-Salem and Jakima Vickers of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sons, Gregory Wright and Thomas Lee Sandsburg, both of Winston-Salem; 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris (Lester) Davis and Mary W. Eldridge, all of Winston-Salem; two brothers, John E. Wright of Monroe and Alfred R. Wright of Winston-Salem; a devoted uncle, John A. Wright; a special friend, Herbert Williams, both of Winston-Salem; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, at the Alpha & Omega Meta-physical Church of Faith, with the Rev. John Huntley officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes before the service hour at the church. Interment will be in the Evergreen cemetery.

BOULDING

PFAFFTOWN - Mr. Otis "Junior" Boulding, 63, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born March 31, 1938, in Eden to Otis Andrew Boulding Sr. and Elaine Southern Boulding. Mr. Boulding was of the Baptist faith and retired as an auctioneer. He was a volunteer with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Department and attended Friendly Chapel in Pilot Mountain. A son, Michael Andrew Boulding Sr., previously went to be with the Lord on Oct. 29, 1993. Mr Boulding is survived by his loving wife, Norma Jean Boulding of the home; two daughters, Debbie Falls and husband Timothy of Germanton and Cindy Coleman and husband Ralph of Jacksonville, Fla.; two grand-sons, Andrew Wayne Falls and Michael Andrew Boulding Jr.; four sisters, Obera Harris and husband Red of Eden, Judy Walker and husband Johnny of Georgia, Connie Younger and husband Wayne of Georgia and Linda Hill and husband Ed of Virginia; and a very special mother-in-law, Pansy Richards of Clemmons. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with Brother Don Collins and the Rev. Ron Groce officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Boulding will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

COLLIER

WALNUT COVE - Mr. Paul Edward Collier, 71, formerly of Mocksville, died Tuesday at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Burroughs Funeral Home, with the Rev. Clayton Smith and the Rev. Roy Bullins officiating. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and other times at the home of his close friend, Cleo Brim, 1007 N. Main St., Heritage Apt. No. 2, Walnut Cove, NC 27052.

FULTON

Mr. Richard Shore Fulton, 84, died Monday, May 28, 2001, at Meadowbrook Terrace of Winston-Salem. He was born May 5, 1917, in Winston-Salem, the son of John Gideon Fulton and Callie Shore Fulton. He attended R.J. Reynolds High School and worked at Wachovia Bank for five years before joining the Armed Forces. He was stationed in California and Omaha, Neb., before being sent to England, where he spent the next two years. Mr. Fulton was then sent to Paris to work for the U.S. State Department. He was awarded a lifetime appointment and worked at the Embassy for eight years and was then transferred to Athens, Greece. He was there for two years when he resigned and returned to the United States. He obtained a job as an accountant for Western Electric, where he worked for 22 years, retiring in 1976. He was married to Mabel Knight on Dec. 5, 1964. He is survived by his wife of 36 years; a brother, the Rev. John W. Fulton Sr. of Winston-Salem; two half brothers, Lee Fulton and Joel Fulton of South Carolina; and a number of nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service for Mr. Fulton at Bethesda Moravian Church on Bethesda Road at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 3. Mrs. Fulton thanks the staff of Meadowbrook Terrace of Winston-Salem for the loving care he received at the home. They are the best!

GWYN

Ms. Mandy Mattie Gwyn was born March 17, 1921, in Winston-Salem to the late Margaret and Earnest Gwyn. She passed away Friday, May 25, at her home in Baltimore, Md., where she was a resident for more than 60 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Gwyn Carethers and Earnest Gwyn; and two brothers, James "Pee Wee" and George W. Gwyn. Survivors include a daughter, Geraldine Hayes Hubbard; a son, Clyde Hayes, both of Baltimore, Md.; five sisters, Albert Gwyn Foy, Queen Gwyn Kelly, Gardine Jackie Gwyn and Barbara Jean Gwyn White, all of Winston-Salem, and Marie Carethers Thomas of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a brother, T.J. Babe Gwyn of Winston-Salem; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral will be conducted Saturday, June 2, 2001, in Baltimore, Md. JONES

LEXINGTON - Garland Erastus "Dick" Jones Jr., 79, of Ralph Miller Road died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday in Meadowbrook Terrace. Arrangements are incomplete at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel.

LOVETTE

LEWISVILLE -Mrs. Florence B. Lovette, 75, went home to her Lord Jesus on May 30, 2001, after a long struggle with illnesses of various kinds. She was born May 1, 1926, to the union of Lizzie Codelia Stanley of Jefferson and Luther Garfield Branson of Belews Creek. She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Lee. Florence married Herman A. Lovette of North Wilkesboro on Aug. 21, 1949. Herman went home to his Lord on June 28, 2000. They both worked at Reynolds Tobacco Co. for more than 32 years and lived in the home he had built for her in Lewisville more than 40 years ago. Florence was nicknamed "Flossie" by a high-school teacher and was called by that the rest of her life by uncountable friends, family and acquaintances. She and her husband were faithful members of Lewisville Baptist Church. She leaves to mourn her passing her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Anne and Joe; a niece, Kathy Fulcher Flynn and her son, a great-nephew, Richard Dean Fulcher; nephew Boyce Dean Fulcher; and many cousins and "adopted" kids all over Winston-Salem and Lewisville. She will always be loved and missed by everyone mentioned here. Flossie Dearest, we love you, and you will live in our hearts forever! Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Vogler & Sons Clemmons Chapel, with the Rev. Ralph Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in Lewisville Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Friday evening at the funeral home.

MYERS

Mrs. Pauline "Polly" Frances Bristow Myers, 79, of Winston-Salem, the widow of Gorrell C. "Shorty" Myers, died Wednes-day morning at Wake Forest University-Baptist Medical Center after an extended illness of two months. Do not stand at my grave and weep; I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain; I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there; I did not die. (author unknown) Mrs. Myers was born in Hopewell, Va., on Dec. 14, 1921, the daughter of George Albert and Della Scarborough Bristow Sr. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny Price in 1988. Surviving are a daughter, Bonniesue Charles and her husband Jack Charles Jr. of Winston-Salem; a son, Gorrell C. "Fuzzy" Myers Jr. and his wife Pat of Nesbit, Miss.; five grandchildren, Chris Charles, Andy Charles, Samantha Eddleman, William Crews and Wesley Myers; and four great-grandchildren. Graveside ser-vices will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Vogler Main Street Chapel.

SHATLEY

NORTH WILKESBORO - Mr. Bobby O. Shatley, better known as "Bob," 63, of Elm Street, died Tuesday at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Northside Baptist Church, with the Rev. Hobert Key officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1.30 p.m. Burial will be in Shady Grove Baptist Church cemetery in the Windy Gap Community. Mr. Shatley was born in Wilkes County on Aug. 17, 1937, to James Isom and Gladys Harris Shatley. He attended Northside Baptist Church. Mr. Shatley was em-ployed at Scott Huffman Drywall Co. He also worked as a sheriff's deputy for five years with the Wilkes County Sheriff's Depart-ment. Mr. Shatley is survived by his wife, Nina Mae McGee Shatley of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Rick (Ronda) Holland of Cleveland, N.C.; a grandson, Lewis Williams Holland of Cleveland, N.C.; five sisters, Rachel Mitchell of North Wilkesboro, Mrs. Grady (Mary) Greeson of Whisett, Mrs. Edith Johnson and Mrs. Donald (Margaret) Walker, both of Winston-Salem, and Mrs. Grady (Nancy) Privette of Statesville; a brother, Calvin Shatley of Hays; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Estelle Shatley of Hamptonville and Mrs. Lorena Shatley of North Wilkesboro; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Shatley was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Shatley and Carl Ray Shatley. The family will receive at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home in North Wilkesboro from 7 until 9 Thurs-day night. SIMPSON

ARARAT - Mrs. Jeanette Atkins Simpson, 54, of 2900 Ararat Road, Ararat, N.C., the wife of Brent Simpson, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at her home. Mrs. Simpson was born in Surry County on Oct. 6, 1946, the daughter of the late Clifton and Josie Dorothy Doby Atkins. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and was a member of New Home Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Brent Simpson of the home; a daughter, Monica Simpson of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Amy Simpson of Ararat and Kevin and Susan Simpson of Elkin; three grandsons, Tyler Simpson and Kyle Simpson, both of Ararat, and Dylan Simpson of Elkin; and a sister, Frankie Butcher of Dobson. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2001 at Moody Funeral Home, Chapel of Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. John Snow. Burial will be in the New Home Church of Christ cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. SPENCE

WALNUT COVE - Ms. Rhonda Michelle Spence, 25, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at Stokes Reynolds Memorial Hospital. She was born Nov. 15, 1975, in Patrick County, Va., to Ronnie Albert Spence and Wilma Jean Mabe Duncan. She was a former employee of Cross Creek Apparel. Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Wilma Jean Mabe Duncan of Walnut Cove; her father, Ronnie Albert Spence of Stuart, Va.; two daughters, Faith Autumn Cook of Danbury and Allana Cheyenne Spence of Walnut Cove; a sister, Dana Collins of Patrick Springs, Va.; a brother, Danny Gray Hemrick of Charleston, S.C.; and her paternal grandparents, George and Elsie D. Spence of Stuart, Va. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2001, at Nelson Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Franklin and the Rev. Chester Montgomery officiating. Burial will be in Isom Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2001, at the funeral home and other times at the home of her mother, 1015 Wolf Rock Road, Walnut Cove.

TULBERT

UNION GROVE - Mrs. Beulah Mae Pardue Tulbert, 85, of Buck Shoals Road passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at Meadowbrook Manor of Clemmons. She was born June 10, 1915, in Yadkin County to the late Ancil and Mamie Swaim Pardue. Mrs. Tulbert was a beloved mother and home-maker and was a member of Zion Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Tulbert, on June 13, 1997; a son, Fred Kenzie Tulbert; a daughter, Pauline T. Jordan; four brothers, Sherman Pardue, Lester Pardue, Frank Pardue and Paul Pardue. Surviving are her three children, Sue T. (Carroll) Sloan of Hampton-ville, Louise T. Shelton of Winston-Salem and Ricky L. (Janet) Tulbert of Independence, Va.; a sister, Athaleen P. Meadlock of Statesville; daughter-in-law Gail G. Tulbert; son-in-law Emery L. Jordan; nine grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Her fun-eral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Zion Baptist Church by the Rev. Dennis Shaw. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at Zion Baptist Church. BLEDSOE

Mr. William Halley Bledsoe, 91, of 4419 Old Winston Road passed away at his home, with his loved ones around him, on Saturday, May 26, 2001, after an illness of six months. His family, who were so important to him, felt privileged to be able to express their love for him by the care they could provide during his time of illness. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 28, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens conducted by Hospice Chaplain Rennie Adcock. Mr. Bledsoe was born Feb. 16, 1910, in Forsyth County to the late Laurens H. and Susan Libes Bledsoe. He was preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters, and a beloved daughter-in-law, Patricia (Mrs. Michael G.) Bledsoe. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Grace Elms Bledsoe of the home; three sons, William H. "Bill" Bledsoe and wife, Maude, of Clemmons, Patrick Bledsoe and wife, Carolyn, of Winston-Salem, and Michael G. Bledsoe of Madison; a daughter, Nancy B. Pegram and husband, Jerry, of Kernersville; a sister, Mrs. Dorcas Bodenheimer (Ted) of Raleigh; nine grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and two stepgreat-grandchildren. Mr. Bledsoe worked for the Norfolk and Western Railroad, the Robert E. Lee Hotel and Tanglewood Park. He retired from Old Salem Inc. He spent over 70 years entertaining old and young alike beginning with vaudeville shows in the early 1930s and with the Funny Ford Clown Car in over 700 shows and parades beginning in the 1950s. Among these were appearances at the Daytona International Speedway, 38 consecutive years in the Salisbury Christmas Parade, 34 years in Charlotte's Carousel Parade and 30 years in the Faith, N.C., Fourth of July Parade. He was a member of the First Christian Missionary Alliance Church. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hanes-Lineberry, Pierce Chapel, and at other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Pegram (4417 Old Winston Road, Kernersville). The family is deeply grateful for the care and assistance of the Hospice staff. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.

CLODFELTER

LEXINGTON - Elizabeth Myers Clodfelter, 79, of Arrowhead Point, died Friday, May 25, 2001, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Clodfelter was born in Davidson County on April 26, 1922, to Willie Vestal Myers and Lessie Hill Myers. She was a retired employee of Binnings Building Products. Her husband, Gordon P. "Buck" Clodfelter, preceded her in death Dec. 28, 1998. She is survived by a son, Robert Clodfelter and his wife Colleen of Lexington; a daughter, Kaye Leonard and her husband Danny of Lexington; five grandchildren, Bobby Clodfelter and his wife Jane, Mark Clodfelter and his wife Wendy, Garrett Leonard, Kyle Leonard, and Tyler Leonard; and two great-grandchildren, Andrea and David Clodfelter. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Bethesda United Methodist Church with Dr. James White and the Rev. Jerry Beck officiating. Burial will follow at the church's cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel, and at other times at the home of Robert Clodfelter (452 Courtney Lane in Lexington). CREASON

Mr. Thomas Eugene Creason, 76, died May 19, 2001, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born Nov. 16, 1924, in Cooleemee to the late Baxter Lee and Lydia Etta Templeton Creason. A veteran of the U.S. Navy in World War II, he served in the Asiatic-Pacific Sector. In 1979, he retired from Brewer Paint and Wallpaper of Greensboro Inc. as field supervisor. He was a member of the Cooleemee Historical Society. A sister, Vermell Creason Reavis, preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Zerline Jeanes Creason; a son, Dwight Thomas Creason of Mocksville; three daughters, Judy Creason Fuller and husband James of York, S.C., Carol Creason Roberson of Mocksville, and Jeannie Griffith Ulrich and husband Ted of Winston-Salem; and seven grandchildren, Caleb Thomas Creason, Rachel Leanna Creason, Jennifer Lynn Dehring, Michelle Lee Roberson, Christian O. Neal Ulrich, Drew Eugene Ulrich and Shawn Alex Ulrich. A graveside memorial will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Legion Memorial cemetery in Cooleemee. Memorials may be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or the District 11 Memorial Honor Guard Southern Division.
