Jerry Craddock, 43, of Fayetteville died Friday in Meadowbrook Nursing Manor in Durham.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Tucker & Sons Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Robert B. Clark. Burial will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Craddock is survived by his wife, Linda Craddock of Fayetteville; two sons, Iran Cook and Keyomonte Craddock, both of Fayetteville; a daughter, Jheri Craddock of Fayetteville; two stepdaughters, Ericka Brunson and Simone Brunson, both of Fayetteville; his mother, Elizabeth Craddock of Fayetteville; his father and stepmother, Willie D. and Ada Craddock, of Baltimore; two sisters, Ann Cherry of Fayetteville and Adrian Dean of Baltimore; two brothers, Willie Craddock and William Craddock, both of Fayetteville; a stepsister, Kathy Miller of Baltimore; his maternal grandmother, Fannie McCall; and four grandchildren.

The public will be received today from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at 316 Nugget Court, Fayetteville.

Miss Phyllis J. Greer

ABERDEEN -- Miss Phyllis June Greer, 75, of Aberdeen died Sunday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Page Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Julian Scott. Burial will be in Bethesda cemetery.

Miss Greer is survived by three sisters, Juanita G. Auman of Aberdeen, Hazel G. Blackwelder of Greensboro and Ruth G. Wilson of Savannah, Ga.; and two brothers, Jay Greer of Aberdeen and Richard Greer of Marion, Va.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Southern Pines.

Memorials may be made to Page Memorial United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 695, Aberdeen, N.C. 28315.

Mrs. Viola Hair, 85, of 760 Elliott Farm Road, Fayetteville, died Sunday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Mrs. Mary C. Haskell

RICHMOND, Va. -- Mrs. Mary Clark Haskell of Richmond, formerly of Fayetteville, N.C., widow of John Cheves Haskell, died Thursday.

Mrs. Haskell was the daughter of the late Dr. Franklin St. Clair Clark and Lillian Yancey Clark of Fayetteville.

She is survived by a daughter, Molly Haskell Sarris of New York; a son, John Cheves Haskell Jr. of Richmond; a grandson, Christopher Robins Haskell of Richmond and a sister, Dorothy Clark Anderson of Fayetteville.

Mrs. Haskell was a painter who studied for many years at the Art Students’ League in New York and subsequently exhibited in Richmond and Florida.

She was a member of the Colonial Dames of Virginia, The Woman’s Club, The Virginia Museum Council, The Richmond Artists’ Association and the Country Club of Virginia.

Burial was on Saturday in Hollywood cemetery.

DUNN -- Moses Arthur, 86, of 104 Pluto St. died Friday in Betsy Johnson Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in St. John Baptist Church by the Rev. W.J. Haire. Burial will be in Resthaven cemetery.

Mr. Arthur is survived by his wife, Lillie E. Arthur; three daughters, Diane Keller of the home, Darlene Davis of Baltimore and Lillie Johnson of Dunn; a son, Gilbert McLean of York, Pa.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The public will be received today from 2 to 7 p.m. at Dafford Funeral Home. The family will be present from 6 to 7 p.m.

Miss Tammy C. Sampson

BRONX, N.Y. -- Miss Tammy Cassandra Sampson, 33, of 2726 Decatur Ave., formerly of Clinton, N.C., died Wednesday.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Summerville-Boykin Mortuary chapel in Garland, N.C., by the Rev. Jerry L. Johnson. Burial will be in the Bronson family cemetery.

Miss Sampson is survived by two daughters, Kawanta A. Sampson and Towanta O. Sampson, both of Clinton; three sons, Michael E. Sampson of Bronx, and William K. Sampson and Jeremy A. Sampson, both of Clinton; her mother, Mary Boone of Clinton; two sisters, Macerine S. Brooks of Charlotte, N.C., and Victoria Sampson of Woodbridge, N.J.; a brother, William E. Sampson of Clinton; and her paternal grandmother, Rossie Sampson of Clinton.

SANFORD -- Warren Osborn “Sonny” Summerlin, 65, of 3025 Kindale Drive died Sunday in his home.

The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Faith Community Church in Fayetteville by the Rev. Tim Hall. Burial will be in Cross Creek cemetery in Fayetteville.

Mr. Summerlin is survived by two sons, Timothy W. Summerlin of the home and Walter K. Summerlin of Fayetteville; a daughter, Charlene S. Hines of Sanford; a sister, Jacqueline Morgan of Texas; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at LaFayette Funeral Home in Fayetteville and at other times at the home of Keith Summerlin, 225 E. Hudson St., Fayetteville.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Mary L. Surles of Raleigh; two daughters, Noel Jarvis of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Donna Hopkins of Charlotte; two sisters, Virginia Smith and Julia Rudd, both of Burlington; a brother, Jimmy Smith of Burlington; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Rogers & Breece Funeral Home.

Mrs. Evelyn Cannady Weeks, 66, of Fayetteville died Sunday in Duke University Medical Center in Durham.

She was a member of Sunnyside Presbyterian Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. William E. Pauley. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park.

Mrs. Weeks is survived by her husband, Cyrus P. Weeks of Fayetteville; a daughter, Brenda Williams of Concord; a sister, Reese Pegram of Fayetteville; a brother, Ray Cannady Sr. of Fayetteville; and one grandson.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Blanche D. Matthews

ERWIN -- Mrs. Blanche Davis Matthews, 83, of Erwin died Sunday in Harnett Manor Nursing Home in Lillington.

She retired from Burlington Industries and was a Sunday school teacher for 52 years.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Erwin Church of God by the Rev. Currie Parker. Burial will be in Erwin Memorial Park.

Mrs. Matthews is survived by a son, Willie S. Matthews of Erwin; two brothers, Clinton Davis of Jacksonboro, S.C., and Edgar Davis of Walterboro, S.C.; two sisters, Irene Finley of Walterboro and Jessie Franklin of Jacksonboro; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Price Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Willie S. Matthews, 400 E. I St., Erwin.

Thomas of Long Beach, Calif., and Alfreda Beverett of Los Angeles; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Spring Lake Community Mortuary in Spring Lake.

KENNESAW, Ga. -- Jefferson Sullivan Meares II, 39, of Kennesaw, formerly of Fayetteville, N.C., died Friday.

Mr. Meares is survived by his wife, Cathy B. Meares of Kennesaw; two sons, Anthony W. Brooks of Lawrenceville and Stephen L. Brooks of Kennesaw; two daughters, Stacie R. Cooper of Pantego, N.C., and Angela R. Denmark of Rockmart; and his parents, Samuel and Laura Meares of Fayetteville.

LAURINBURG -- Mrs. Mattie Downer Livingston, 71, of Laurinburg died Monday in Willow Haven Rest Home.

She was a retired office clerk at Abbott Laboratories and a member of First United Methodist Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in McDougald Funeral Home chapel by the Revs. Wil I. Jackson and James Bumgardner. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery.

Mrs. Livingston is survived by a daughter, Linda Smith of Laurinburg; three granddaughters; three step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

BROWNWARD, Ga. -- Mrs. Rosa L. Harris, 60, of Brownward died Wednesday.

Among Mrs. Harris’ survivors is her father, Tommie C. Brown of Fayetteville, N.C.; four brothers, Fletcher Brown, Charlie Brown, Hubert Brown and Arthur Brown, all of Fayetteville; and a sister, Alice Houston of Fayetteville.

He was a retired construction worker.

Mr. Callahan is survived by his wife, Jean Callahan of the home; four sons, George Callahan of Hamlet, Charles Callahan of Laurinburg, the Rev. Archie Callahan of Virginia Beach, Va., and Daniel Callahan of Gibson; seven daughters, Diane Parker, Denice Callahan and Jean M. Callahan, all of Gibson, Deloris Sehase of Sumner, Iowa, Cassie Locklear of Maxton, Jackie Bullard of Red Springs and Juliette Clark of Wilmington; two brothers, James Callahan of Virginia and Wil Callahan of Gibson; five sisters, Sally A. Reynolds of Laurel, Miss., Catherine Chavis of Wakula, Verdora Locklear of Greensboro and Dicie A. Mahon and Sarah Beecher, both of Richmond; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Butler Funeral Service in Laurinburg.

SEVEN LAKES -- Mrs. Anne H. Parks of Seven Lakes died Sunday in her home.

Mrs. Parks performed in the West End Presbyterian Church choir, the Moore County Choral Society and the Sophisticated Ladies dance group.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in West End Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Dudley Crawford. Arrangements are being handled by Boles Funeral Home and Crematory.

Mrs. Parks is survived by her husband, Paul V. Parks; a son, Kent M. Parks of Raleigh; and a daughter, Sharon P. Steele of Malibu, Calif.

The family will receive friends after the service at the home.
