DUNN -- Thurman C. Godwin Sr., 79, of Route 4 died Tuesday in Betsy Johnson Memorial Hospital.
He was a retired salesman for Wellons Candy Company and a member of Godwin Presbyterian Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Godwin Presbyterian Church by the Revs. Ray Lammers and Dwight Barker. Burial will be in Old Bluff Presbyterian Church cemetery in Wade.
Mr. Godwin is survived by his wife, Mildred J. Godwin of the home; two sons, T.C. Godwin Jr. and Steve Godwin, both of Dunn; five sisters, Isabelle Fish, Mazelle Strickland and Helen Carroll, all of Coats, Jean Walker of Sanford and Ann Huff of Willow Spring; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Mrs. Wishart is survived by her husband, Wallace Wishart of Lumberton; a son, Jeffery S. Wishart of Lumberton; and a sister, Lillian McGrath of Lumberton.

Mr. McMillan is survived by his wife, Peggy McMillan; three daughters, Rosa M. McMillan, Virginia L. McMillan and Cassandra Buie, all of Red Springs; two sons, Nicholas S. McMillan and Duaun W. McMillan, both of Red Springs; a sister, Mary J. McMillan of New Jersey; and four grandchildren.

Mr. Bullard is survived by his wife, Thelma J. Bullard of the home; three sons, Herbert N. Bullard of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Arthur C. Bullard of Rock Hill, and Robert M. Bullard of Charleston; his mother, Esther P. Bullard of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two sisters, Sarah Cochrane of Wilmington, N.C., and Lenora Hardy of Florence; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Morehead is survived by a brother, Robert Williams of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and nine grandchildren.

SOUTHERN PINES -- William Carl Allred, 75, of 102 Warrior Woods Road died Tuesday in his home.
Mr. Allred was retired from the Federal Crop Insurance division of the U.S. Dept. of Agricultural and was a retired farmer. He was a member and former deacon of Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church, and the past president of the North Carolina Peach Growers Association.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church in Ellerbe by the Rev. Edsel Huffstetler. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Allred is survived by two sons, Richard Allred of Jackson Springs and Tommy Allred of Ellerbe; a daughter, Lynda A. Kern of Birmingham, Ala.; a brother, James “Bill” Allred of Ellerbe; two sisters, Jo Hopper of Mahwah, N.J., and Margaret Hunsucker of Spartanburg, S.C.; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
